John Hilling (1822 – 14 August 1894) was a British painter who lived and worked in America. He moved from Britain to America in the 1840s, settling in the town of Bath, Maine. In 1864 he enlisted as a private in the army during the American Civil War, but was invalided out a year later with a spinal injury. On his return to Bath he made a living as an interior decorator, moving to Charlestown, Massachusetts in 1873, but moving back to Wells, Maine a few years later.

In 1930, Thomas joined the then famous Six Hills Nursery in Stevenage, working under alpine expert Clarence Elliott. The following year he became foreman at T. Hilling & Co (Hillings), a renowned 300-acre nursery near Chobham, Surrey. Notes from the work of the historian Paul Egan - taken from "A Stroll around St John's" 24/1/1993 In 1871, Edmund Blacket commenced work on the ornate tower and spire, which is the major feature of the building. The transepts, tower and spire were added by 1875, and the chancel by 1875. Because Blacket's additions are so prominent, St John's "now owes precious little of its outward appearance to Goold and Hilling" (Herman), though Blacket's design work is seen only in the large windows at the end of each transept, the tower and spire, the floor tiling and the reredos.

Potatoes grown in a tall bag are common in gardens as they minimize the amount of digging required at harvestNew tubers may start growing at the surface of the soil. Since exposure to light leads to an undesirable greening of the skins and the development of solanine as a protection from the sun's rays, growers cover surface tubers. In India, planting the irrigated ginger crop is usually done in the months between March and June as those months account for the beginning of the monsoon, or rainy and season. Following a solo German concert tour in January 2015 and an East Asian one (China, Taiwan and South Korea) in spring of the same year, this time as a duo, with Johannes Feige contributing electric guitar and harmony vocals, Hecker, who had been active for 15 years at this point, released a retrospective of 30 songs, The Best of Maximilian Hecker, in Europe (Eat The Beat Music), Mainland China (Want U Music), Taiwan (Hinote) and South Korea (Leeway) in spring 2016. Between April and July of the same year, his Best of Maximilian Hecker-tour took him and his live musicians Johannes Feige and Nicolai Ziel again to China, Taiwan and South Korea, followed by another Mainland Chinese tour, titled Fancy April in April 2017. Between September 2017 and July 2018, Hecker took part as a live musician in the stage play Wie kann ich dich finden, zu mir ziehen und überreden zu bleiben (written by Anja Hilling and directed by Friederike Heller) at Mannheim National Theatre, for which he had also composed the songs and the score music.

On 29 May, the club announced a new shirt sponsorship deal with pay day loan company QuickQuid, replacing 188BET who sponsored the club's shirts for the previous two seasons. The deal sparked protests from fans and local politicians alike, with a petition asking the club to rethink the decision reaching over a thousand signatures within just over twenty four hours. Bolton South East MP, Yasmin Qureshi, called the deal "completely wrong" and joined fellow local MPs David Crausby and Julie Hilling, alongside Bolton Council leader Cliff Morris and Bolton at Home chief executive Jon Lord in calling upon the club to reconsider the decision. Two days later, on 31 May, it was confirmed that former captain Kevin Davies would be given a testimonial, and that the decision had been ratified by the Football League. On 5 June 2013, Bolton announced that they would no longer be entering into a sponsorship agreement with QuickQuid due to "the adverse reaction to the sector of business in which the sponsor operated".
