The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to East Timor is the United Kingdom's foremost diplomatic representative to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste. The official title is Her Britannic Majesty's Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste. The British Embassy in Dili was opened in 2002 when East Timor (as it is called in English) became independent of Indonesia, and closed in July 2006 along with British Embassies and High Commissions in several other countries; since 2006 the UK has been represented in East Timor by the Ambassador to Indonesia.
John Philip Kelly, CMG, LVO, MBE (born 25 June 1941) is an Irish-born British diplomat who was Governor of the British overseas territory of the Turks and Caicos Islands from October 1996 to January 2000. Kelly was born in Tuam, County Galway and emigrated to England in 1958. He joined Her Majesty's Diplomatic Service in 1959, and served at various British embassies and high commissions, and at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London. Kelly was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 1984.
St Clement Danes was a civil parish in the metropolitan area of London, England; an ecclesiastical version remains (see its Anglican church, St Clement Danes). In early October 2001, Fathur Rahman al-Ghozi, also known as Mike, and Mohammed Jabarah, also known as Sammy, flew to Singapore and directed the sleeper cell to conduct "final reconnaissance" and video recordings of potential targets. The two operatives gave instructions to the cell to prepare for attacks in Singapore. James returned to the Dominions Office (which merged with the India Office in 1947 to form the Commonwealth Relations Office) in 1945, and served in South Africa, London, and Pakistan, where he headed the Deputy High Commissions in both Lahore and Karachi during the 1950s. He then served as Deputy High Commissioner in New Delhi before returning to Pakistan as High Commissioner from 1962 to 1965. The Kenya Australia Chamber of Commerce host an annual Australia-Kenya Business and Exhibition Conference in Australia which is supported by both the Kenyan and Australian High Commissions. AGC (SPS) and AGC (RMP) female soldiers deployed in Afghanistan often patrol with infantry soldiers in order to conduct searches where women or children could be concealing weapons including potential suicide bombers. The AGC (SPS) was formed from the Royal Army Pay Corps and the Women's Royal Army Corps, as well as the staff clerks of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps, followed by the All Arm's Clerks from the remainder of the British Army. Responsible for finance and personnel management, it also provides staff clerks to all sections of the Army, multinational formations and British Embassies and High Commissions in nearly every country of the world.
Foreign territories in Singapore are the plots of land owned by other countries in the Republic of Singapore. There are currently only two separate pieces of land in the country which falls under this category and both of which are owned by Malaysia. These territories are under Malaysia's extraterritorial jurisdiction and Malaysia has the right to exercise control over these areas. The foreign territories in Singapore do not include diplomatic missions, like embassies and high commissions operated by other countries in the republic, because contrary to popular belief, diplomatic missions do not exercise full sovereign rights of the respective countries but only enjoy certain immunity of local laws.
British High Commission in Wellington, New Zealand A British High Commission is a British diplomatic mission, equivalent to an embassy, found in countries that are members of the Commonwealth of Nations. Their general purpose is to provide diplomatic relationships as well as travel information, passports, dual-citizenship information, and other services between Commonwealth states. Where some Commonwealth countries are not represented in another Commonwealth country, the British High Commission can assist such Commonwealth countries' citizens in some cases. Some countries that were outside the Commonwealth, but have now returned to their membership of the Commonwealth, have replaced their embassies and ambassadors with High Commissions and High Commissioners.
Outside Canada locations also include the NATO E3A component in Geilenkirchen, Germany, 45 Embassies and High Commissions with the Military Police Security Service (MPSS), CFSU Europe and Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in Casteau, Belgium. In November 2007 a ceremony officially recognized the CFPM assuming command of the Canadian Forces Military Police Group. On April 1, 2011, the CF MP Gp was restructured to its current establishment, with the environmental and operational commands policing assets now under the full command of the CF MP Gp Commander.

Bairiki is an islet near the Western end of South Tarawa. It is joined to Betio by the Nippon Causeway, which opened in 1989, and is also joined to Naanekai by a causeway, forming part of a continuous road which links South Tarawa from Betio in the West to Bonriki International Airport in the East. Bairiki is a small islet, with a land area of less than half a square km. Much of the land is occupied by the Government itself, including the Bairiki National Stadium and the main offices of many of the Government ministries, and by foreign High Commissions with their associated residences.
In addition, the Government of Greenland may call on the High Commissioner to participate in negotiations within Greenlandic institutions. It was not until World War II, however, that New Zealand sent permanent diplomatic missions to other countries. To facilitate co-ordination of the war effort New Zealand established several posts in countries with which it was allied—the first was a legation in the United States in 1941. In 1942 and 1943, high commissions were opened in Ottawa and Canberra respectively, and in 1944, a legation was established in the Soviet Union.
