Corey Lake is a small, inland lake in south western Michigan. It is located just outside Three Rivers, and is the home to Camp Eberhart and Camp Wakeshma. There is also the Corey Lake Marina and Happy Landing Restaurant that has views of Corey Lake. The lake, from above, looks a bit like Mickey Mouse.

When Scott went to Hollywood in late 1937 to work in motion pictures, Williams accompanied the bandleader and appeared on camera with the Quintette in the films Happy Landing (starring Sonja Henie, Ethel Merman, and Don Ameche), Sally, Irene and Mary (starring Alice Faye, Tony Martin, and Fred Allen), and Ali Baba Goes to Town (starring Eddie Cantor). In the early 1920s, Barrett joined Oscar Celestin's Original Tuxedo Jazz Orchestra. In 1928, when the Celestin's band split, she intermittently played music with Bebe Ridgeley's Tuxedo Jazz Orchestra for the next 10 years. In 1947, she accepted a steady job at Happy Landing, a local club in Pecaniere, Louisiana, but it was her recording debut in 1961, with her own album in the Riverside Records New Orleans: The Living Legends series, that brought her recognition. Although most of the songs on the album were instrumentals, others featured vocals by Barrett that the liner notes described as her first recordings as a vocalist.

Sonja Henie (8 April 1912 – 12 October 1969) was a Norwegian figure skater and film star. She was a three-time Olympic Champion (1928, 1932, 1936) in women's Singles, a ten-time World Champion (1927–1936) and a six-time European Champion (1931–1936). Henie won more Olympic and World titles than any other ladies' figure skater. At the height of her acting career, she was one of the highest-paid stars in Hollywood and starred in a series of box-office hits, including Thin Ice (1937), Happy Landing (1938 film), My Lucky Star (1938), Second Fiddle (1939) and Sun Valley Serenade (1941).

The group reached the top ten again with "You've Really Got a Hold on Me" (another Grammy Hall of Fame-inducted hit) in 1962, featuring lead vocals by Smokey Robinson and Bobby Rogers. (This song actually began life as the "B" side to the group's intended "A" side, "Happy Landing", but the nation's Dee Jays flipped the song over, because they liked "Hold on Me" better). The Miracles hit the top ten still a third time the following year with the Holland-Dozier-Holland-written-and-produced song "Mickey's Monkey". The group's exciting live performances were so well received, they were often referred to as "The Showstoppers".

Happy Knight was a "big, strong, rather coarse" bay colt with a small white star bred in England by his owner William Cooke, a noted huntsman and orchid grower who had established his Wyld Court Stud at Newbury, Berkshire in 1912. He was one of two classic winners sired by Colombo an outstanding two-year-old who went on to win the 2000 Guineas in 1934. Happy Knight's dam Happy Morn, had previously produced Happy Landing who finished third in the 1944 Derby Stakes. Happy Morn was a great-granddaughter of the influential broodmare Flitters, whose other female-line descendants have included Blenheim, Footstepsinthesand, Power, Westerner and Golden Lilac.

Barr left his role as brigadier around 1975 to concentrate on politics and Robinson assumed command of the brigade in his stead. Under Robinson the Brigade was not one of the most active although he was a close ally of Tyrie, who remembered him as "one of our best, as good as John McMichael". On 22 November 1976 Catholic civilian John Toland (35) was shot and killed by the UDA in the Happy Landing Bar in Derry where he worked as manager. In a statement the loyalists claimed that Toland was killed in retaliation for Corporal William Kidd, an Ulster Defence Regiment (UDR) soldier killed by republicans in the city four days earlier.

Among the buildings erected by the company in 1823-5 were the Rectory, a Courthouse or Market house ( an unusually well designed building by Nicholson which included a dispensary (the wall plaques outside the former courthouse are the Grocers and David Babingtons coat of arms)), a Manor house for the Grocers agent and the Glen house. All of which are still to be seen today. They also built a row of cottages for local widows which was known until quite recently as Widow's Row (now renamed Cottage Row) and tradesmen's houses along Main Street. The millers house opposite the Happy Landing public house became the old R.I.C. barracks until the present police station was built.

In a "furious" finish, Ocean Swell stayed on strongly in the closing stages, showing "pluck and stamina" to win a "great fight" by a neck from Tehran, with the fast-finishing Happy Landing a short head back in third. Ocean Swell did not race again for three months before contesting the New St Leger, in which he finished third behind Tehran and Borealis. On his final start of the year he was moved up to two and a quarter miles and showed his aptitude for extended distances by winning the Jockey Club Cup. After the race Lord Rosebery praised his colt's speed and stamina and announced that he would stay in training with the Ascot Gold Cup as his main objective.

The altar of Apollo Archegetes at Naxos had particular importance as Naxos was the first Greek colony, founded in 734 BC. Though the altar was initially likely set up due to the maritime aspects of Apollo - most importantly the God of Happy Landing, έκβάσιος - the aspect of foundation, Archegetes, grew more important over time.

The band also played in a lot of famous Japanese TV shows. KOSEN scored three singles and two albums in two years until the band broke up. Following the disbandment of Peaky SALT in 2010, KOSEN started scoring hip- hop/rock songs with Finnish-Japanese rapper/vocal ILMARI, who is best known as a member of RIP SLYME, and they formed a band THE BEATMOSS with bassist YAS and drummer SOHNOSUKE (also known as a member of jazz quartet “Quasimode”). The band's second single “SUPERSTAR” was chosen as a campaign song for world- famous brand “adidas originals” -Unite All Originals -Rashisa wo Butsukero-. Besides recording with THE BEATMOSS, he currently pursues a solo career that is called, “Colorful Mannings.” He has already scored as “Colorful Mannings” for two feature films (“Koikarassa”(2013), “Happy Landing”(2014)) and serial drama (“MOSO Kanojo”(2015)).

Written by Miracles members Smokey Robinson and Ronnie White, Happy Landing was originally conceived as the "A" side of Tamla 54073, and was the first single issued from the album The Fabulous Miracles. This song was popular in many regions of the country, but was not charting nationally, because American DJs, preferred,and played the "B" side, You've Really Got a Hold on Me, which went on to become one of The Miracles' most successful songs, their second million-seller (after Shop Around), and a 1998 Grammy Hall of Fame inductee. The song, in addition to being on the aforementioned Miracles' albums, also appears on the group's 4-CD box-set 35th Anniversary Collection and on their 2-CD set, The Miracles – Depend On Me: The Early Albums. It has inspired a cover version by The Temptations.
