Both Divas wrestled wearing lingerie. The match became a catfight as both Divas viciously battled against each other. Torrie performed a Handspring Elbow on Stacy to pin her for the victory. The fourth match was a Ladder match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship as Christian defended the title against Edge.
With the opponent seated on the top turnbuckle facing the ring, the wrestler performs a handspring on the bottom turnbuckle, wrapping both shins or feet around the opponent's neck. The wrestler then throws both legs forward towards the ring, pulling and flipping over the opponent to the mat back first.

It used Handspring's modified version of the Palm OS, version 3.5.2H3. Power came from two AAA batteries that would last up to two months. This model had a lower price, with which Handspring was hoping to attract new users. The display of all Visors measured 2.25 inches square with diagonal span of 3.0 inches.
The company licensed artificial intelligence algorithms from Numenta, a company founded by Jeff Hawkins whom she met at Handspring/Palm. It was acquired by Sighthound in 2013. From 2010 to 2014 she was Senior Vice President, Engineering, at Panasas, a data storage company. In 2014 she joined Hawkins' machine intelligence company, Numenta, as Vice President of Engineering.
In the main event of night 2, Masato Tanaka defended the KO-D Openweight Championship against Tetsuya Endo. Tanaka threw Endo from a top turnbuckle through a table outside of the ring. Endo blocked a diving splash attempt with his knees. Because Tanaka heavily targeted Endo's legs, Endo was unable to perform his handspring overhead kick.
After Tazz applied a cross armbar, and performed a flapjack spinebuster, Tajiri fought back with a handspring back elbow. Tazz then pulled Tajiri off the apron, and sent him into the ringsteps. Back in the ring, Tajiri applied the Tarantula, and dropkicked Tazz, who was kneeling. Tazz then blocked a kick, and performed a capture suplex.
Dina Anatolyevna Kochetkova (, born 27 July 1977 in Moscow, Russian SFSR) is a Russian gymnast who competed at the 1996 Olympics. Stylistically, she was considered by many to be the "last of the Soviets," performing difficult skills with elegant, clean technique. An element she pioneered, a full- twisting back handspring on beam, remains in the Code of Points as "the Kochetkova".
Jericho then climbed the ladder and retrieved the Intercontinental Championship belt. In the third contest, Ivory defended the WWF Women's Championship against Chyna. Both women attempted to gain an advantage over the other, with Chyna controlling much of the match. The end of the match came when Chyna attempted a handspring back elbow on Ivory, who was in the corner of the ring.

In June Netzer competed at the European Games, where she qualified to the vault final. During the final she performed a handspring front tuck full and a Tsuk layout full and she finished fifth. In August Netzer tore her ACL and therefore missed competing at the 2019 World Championships and was unable to qualify herself a spot for the 2020 Summer Olympics.
The acrobatic combination usually consists of a cartwheel followed by one or two back-tucks, leaving the wrestler's back facing the opponent. When the wrestler is in close range of the opponent, they are free to use the momentum of the handspring combination to leap backwards and strike with a back-elbow, a back-thump, a dropkick, or any other convenient attack.
In the last seconds of his 2009 NCAA championship match against Brent Metcalf, Caldwell attempted to celebrate early with a handspring and backflip. While in the middle of his backflip, Metcalf pushed him, making him fall hard on his back. The push occurred slightly after the whistle. Metcalf later apologized, citing a fight- to-the-end wrestler mentality and frustration.
Jeffrey Hawkins (born June 1, 1957) is the American founder of Palm Computing and Handspring where he invented the PalmPilot and Treo, respectively.Jeff Hawkins, On Intelligence, p.28Jeff Hawkins, On Intelligence, p.1 He has since turned to work on neuroscience full-time, founding the Redwood Center for Theoretical Neuroscience (formerly the Redwood Neuroscience Institute) in 2002 and Numenta in 2005.
A handspring is an acrobatic move in which a person executes a complete revolution of the body by lunging headfirst from an upright position into an inverted vertical position and then pushing off (i.e., "springing") from the floor with the hands so as to leap back to an upright position. Handsprings are performed in various physical activities, including acro dance, cheerleading and gymnastics.

Palm Computing was spun off into its own company (called Palm Incorporated) in 2000. Handspring later merged with Palm to form palmOne in 2003 when Palm Inc. split into companies based upon selling hardware (palmOne) and the software (PalmSource). In 2005, palmOne acquired the full rights to the Palm name by purchasing the shared rights PalmSource owned and changed names back to Palm again.
A few days before the shoot on 19 April 1996, Camitz was unable to get permission to use the building, and the shoot was relocated to the Midland Grand Hotel in St Pancras, London.Sinclair, 2004. p. 75. The original version of Blazer was developed by Bluelark Systems and was released in November 2000. Bluelark Systems was acquired by Handspring a month later, in December 2000. Version 1.0 supported HTML, WAP, and the markup language used in i-Mode.
Natalia Vladimirovna Yurchenko () (born 26 January 1965) is a retired Soviet artistic gymnast, who won the women's all-around gold medal at the 1983 World Championships. Renowned for her innovative and daring gymnastics, she is best known as the originator of the Yurchenko vault family, which is a round-off back handspring entry onto the vault, and then performing a series of twists and flips off.
Handspring Visor Platinum The Visor Platinum was similar to the Visor Deluxe. Apart from shell color, the exterior of the devices were indistinguishable. The Visor Platinum was available only in a silver (platinum) or black colored shell, as opposed to the Visor Deluxe's many color choices. The Platinum included a 33-MHz Motorola DragonBall VZ processor while the Deluxe only supported a 16 or 20-MHz chip.
When performing a Yurchenko, gymnasts round off so their hands are on the runway while their feet land on the springboard. From the roundoff position, the gymnast travels backwards and executes a back handspring so that the hands land on the vaulting table. The gymnast then blocks off the vaulting platform into various twisting and/or somersaulting combinations. The post-flight segment brings the gymnast to her feet.
In uneven bars she scored 12.866 and finished 57th. In the vault she performed a Rudi (handspring 1.5-twisting layout) and a double-twisting Tsukahara, with difficulty ratings of 6.3 and 6.0, respectively. Her first vault, officially named Chusovitina in the Code of Points but more commonly known as Rudi, had a good height and amplitude, but excessive piking of the hips in the final phase led to an uncontrolled landing.
A Teza is one of several gymnastics moves introduced by French gymnast Elvire Teza in the 1990s, and subsequently named after her in the Code of Points. Most commonly, it refers to a variation of the Yurchenko loop with a full twisting handspring on the balance beam. However, there is one more move named after her on the beam, as well as two further elements on the asymmetric bars.
The backbend is important in gymnastics because it is essential to perform a back handspring. Backbends are part of the repertoire of professional and competitive ice skaters. For example, a backbend was performed by Jimmie Santee in the 1994 production of Walt Disney's World on Ice: Aladdin. Backbends and other contortions were a feature of the performance of Mr. Frick from the 1930s ice comedy act Frick and Frack.
The Treo 180g is a dual-band GSM smartphone made by Handspring. Released in 2002, it was the third device in the Treo family. The 180g is essentially the same as its predecessor, the Treo 180, except that it uses Palm's proprietary Graffiti handwriting recognition software. It features a Graffiti area in place of the Treo 180's miniature QWERTY keyboard and shipped with Palm OS version 3.5.2H.
Reviewers mainly complained about the bulky size and appearance. One reviewer noted that with a weight of 108 grams, it weighs nearly as much as the Handspring Visor PDA, which is 174g. Reviewers also complained that the screen was too dim and small to read and use for manipulating text. Other problems included having poor water-resistance, low battery life and an alarm that was too quiet for practical use.
Handspring followed the Treo 180 with the Treo 90 in April 2002. The Treo 90 was the only Treo that was not a smartphone, as it did not have mobile telephony capabilities. At the time of release, it was the physically smallest Palm OS device on the market. The Treo 90 pioneered features such as a color screen and an SD card slot, which are found on all subsequent Treo models.
All versions of Palm OS Emulator require a file containing the ROM image to boot. ROM image files can be obtained from PalmSource (now part of Access Co., Ltd), or downloaded from a real Palm device. Palm OS Emulator supported Palm models produced by Palm, Handera, Handspring, and Symbol. Palm OS handhelds produced by Sony (the Clie line) were supported by a separate, Sony-specific fork of Palm OS Emulator.
Erika Zuchold (née Barth; 19 March 1947 – 22 August 2015) was an East German gymnast who competed at the European, World, and Olympic level from the mid-1960s to early 1970s. She and Karin Janz were the two most significant (in terms of medals won at major championships) female German gymnasts of the era, leading the East German team to a bronze medal at the 1968 Olympics and a silver medal at the 1972 Olympics. The highlight of Zuchold's career came at the 1970 World Championships, where she placed second in the individual all- around behind the Soviet Ludmilla Tourischeva and returned to win gold on both vault and balance beam in event finals. Zuchold is credited as being the first woman to perform a back handspring on balance beam in World or Olympic competition (at the 1966 World Championships), as well as one of the first two women, along with Věra Čáslavská at the 1968 Olympics, to complete a front handspring on balance beam.
In early 2002, Handspring ceased production of the Visor line, replacing it with a line of handhelds that were to be more "communication-centric" in nature; these would be sold under the name Treo. Except for the Treo 90, all Treo devices were smartphones with integrated cellular phones, and nearly all featured built-in keyboards to enhance e-mail and SMS functionality. The Treo line met with success, attributed in large part to Handspring's in-house VisorPhone software, which was tightly integrated with the Palm OS. The Springboard feature was no longer available on the Treo line, with Handspring favoring slimmer designs that left no room for the large slots necessary to support Springboard cartridges; peripheral technologies such as SDIO would soon render the Springboard platform obsolete. Additionally, technological advances meant that much of the functionality provided by Springboard modules, such as additional memory, a camera, MP3 player, Wi-Fi antenna, and GPS, could now be integrated into the handheld itself at reduced cost.
A Treo 300 The Palm Treo (stylized as Trēo) is a discontinued line of smartphones originally developed by Handspring, which was bought by Palm, Inc. They were then manufactured and maintained by Palm, Inc. Treos had a number of integrated features such as the ability to check the calendar while talking on the phone, dial directly from a list of contacts, and send email messages. The final models included a built-in camera.
The main event match took place between Antonio Inoki and The Great Muta and was the first match in the Inoki Final Countdown Series, a series of Inoki's final matches, leading up to his retirement from professional wrestling. Near the end of the match, Muta tried to hit a handspring back elbow to Inoki but Inoki countered and applied a sleeper hold and then pinned Muta in the sleeper hold for the win.
The company was founded in 2010 by D. Scott Phoenix and Dr. Dileep George. Before co-founding Vicarious, Phoenix was Entrepreneur in Residence at Founders Fund and CEO of Frogmetrics, a touchscreen analytics company he co- founded through the Y Combinator incubator program. Previously, Dr. George was Chief Technology Officer at Numenta, a company he co-founded with Jeff Hawkins and Donna Dubinsky (PALM, Handspring) while completing his PhD at Stanford University.
Good Technology in its current form is a continuation of two previous companies. One was Visto, founded in 1996 (and initially known as Roampage).Visto profile on CrunchBase Visto acquired the original Good Technology in 2009, and assumed its name. The original Good Technology had been founded in 2000; it was initially known as SpringThings, and sold an MP3 player for the Handspring Visor before shifting to email products for mobile professionals.

Donna Dubinsky is an American business leader who played an integral role in the development of personal digital assistants (PDAs) serving as CEO of Palm, Inc. and co-founding Handspring with Jeff Hawkins in 1995. Dubinsky co-founded Numenta in 2005 with Hawkins and Dileep George, based in Redwood City, CA. Numenta was founded to develop machine intelligence based on the principles of the neocortex. Dubinsky currently serves as CEO and board chair of Numenta.
Owner and trainer Byron McClelland won the 1890 race with Sallie McClelland which he had named for his wife. The filly too would be retrospectively selected by Thoroughbred Heritage as that year's American Champion Two-Year-Old Female. Hastings was a surprise winner of the 1895 edition, beating the heavily favored Handspring by three lengths. A month later, Hastings would be sold at auction to August Belmont Jr. for a then record price of $37,000.
Also known as Péle kick after the association football player, the attacker performs a standing back flip while having their back to the opponent. The attacker then hits the opponent in the head with one or both legs, with the wrestler usually landing on hands and feet facing downward. Popularized by AJ Styles. There are many variations of this maneuver since it can be performed from a backroll, a corckscrew, a handspring or a handstand.
This was subsequently presented as a ballet by the National Youth Ballet of Great Britain in August 2010. War Horse has been adapted as a radio broadcast and as a stage play by Nick Stafford, premiering at the National Theatre, London, on 17 October 2007. The horses were played by life-sized horse puppets designed and built by the Handspring Puppet Company of South Africa. It won two Olivier Awards in 2007.
Blanik is the name of a technique in vault in artistic gymnastics, a double front handspring vault in piked position in, followed by a double back Tsukahara. The piked performance of the technique has rating 10.0 in the Code of Points. The vault was first performed by the Polish gymnast Leszek Blanik, and is named after him. Leszek Blanik was the world champion in vault 2007, and Olympic champion in vault in 2008.
Acrobatic flips can be started from a stationary, standing position and they are also commonly executed immediately following another rotational move, such as a roundoff or handspring, so as to take advantage of the angular momentum developed in the preceding move. In general, the hands do not touch the floor during execution of a flip and performers typically strive to land on the feet in an upright position, but it is not required to be considered a flip.
The Treo 270 is a dual-band GSM flip form factor smartphone made by Handspring. Released on May 31, 2002 for $499 with service contract, $699 without service contract,Handspring's Treo tries color (video) - CNET News(Archived copy) it was the fourth device in the Treo family. "Hedda Hopper Hollywood", The Lima News, 4 July 1959, p. 19 A widely reproduced photograph shows Stevenson calmly walking down a Los Angeles street, seemingly unaware that Tamblyn is doing a spectacular backward aerial handspring a few inches away from her. Stevenson had a year-long affair with actor Audie Murphy, which began when they co- starred in Seven Ways from Sundown in 1960. Stevenson remarried, to Don Everly, in 1962 and retired from acting and modelling.
Vise earned a full scholarship to University of Oklahoma and competed for the Sooners starting in the 2006–07 season. At her first collegiate meet at Arizona State University, she scored 9.800 on beam. A week later, she scored 9.825 on beam at Iowa State University, tying for fourth place. Vise showed consistency on beam in the 2011 season, scoring a 9.725 against Texas Woman's University when she added a front handspring before her dismount adding more difficulty.
Demyanchuk began her senior career in 2007 at a tri-country meet between Ukraine, Germany, and Catalonia. On vault, she competed a Yurchenko layout. On floor exercise, her tumbling passes were a double pike, a layout double twist, a front one-and-a-half twist to front layout, and a front handspring through to a layout full twist. On uneven bars, she performed a Tkatchev, a toe-on Tkatchev, a Pak salto, and a double pike dismount.
One month later, she competed on vault and balance beam at the World Challenge Cup in Varna and finished second on both events (14.400 average on vault and 14.367 on balance beam). At the 2016 Olympics, Phan competed on two events in the qualification round: vault and balance beam. For her first vault, she performed a double-twisting Yurchenko and scored 14.700. Her second vault, a handspring pike front with a half twist, was much less difficult and scored 13.766.
War Horse is a play based on the book of the same name by writer Michael Morpurgo, adapted for stage by Nick Stafford. Originally Morpurgo thought "they must be mad" to try to make a play from his best-selling 1982 novel; nonetheless, the play was a success. The play's West End and Broadway productions are directed by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris; it features life- size horse puppets by the Handspring Puppet Company of South Africa, with "horse choreography" by Toby Sedgwick.
Zmeskal was recognized for her middle tumbling pass on floor which consisted of a round-off, three consecutive whip-backs, back-handspring, into a double-back in the tucked position (sometimes with four whips into double-back). Another trademark was the way she would flare her arms out during full-twisting elements, most notably on her full-twisting Yurchenko vault. Another signature move was the reverse planche with one bent leg, which was her opening move on the balance beam.
He also served as one of the main puppeteers in the show, and was trained by Handspring Puppet Company's. Kwok- Choon's breakthrough role in television was for the Global TV's movie Befriend and Betray, directed by Ken Girotti followed suit by CBC Television movie Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town directed by Don McBrearty. He has also guest starred on Rookie Blue, Nikita, and Lucky 7. Kwok-Choon's most notable role was "Seth Park", a series lead on Open Heart.
He could always find a clever spot to show off his back handspring in each concert. Despite not being a founding member, he became the core of White Heart along with Billy Smiley and Mark Gersmehl (who's also an Indiana native, like Florian himself). Florian issued a statement several years ago that the band was only at "a dormant stage". When Florian released his first album with White Heart, a tradition of using unique spelling variations of his name for each album began.

Yurchenko is the name of both a specific vault and a vault family in artistic gymnastics. The Yurchenko was named after Soviet gymnast Natalia Yurchenko in 1982 during a competition in Moscow. The first gymnast to actually perform it in a competition was Viktor Levinkov, a male Russian gymnast, who was the original inventor of the Yurchenko. In a Yurchenko vault, the gymnast does a round-off onto the springboard and a back handspring onto the horse or vaulting table.
She also failed to make the floor exercise final, despite her world title on that event. Kui went on to win two bronze medals at the 1997 World Championships, with her team and on the balance beam. The balance beam result was controversial: Kui performed the most difficult routine of all the competitors in the final—including a full-twisting back layout, as well as three split leaps to a back handspring and two layout step-outs—but finished .012 behind Romania's Gina Gogean.
The Newcastle Stable was a Thoroughbred racing partnership formed in 1903 by Life magazine publisher Andrew Miller, Blair Painter, Francis R. Bishop, and trainer Thomas Welsh. Based in New York City, in January 1907 the partners leased the 350 acre Oakwood Farm near Lexington, Kentucky to be used for breeding their own horses. The partnership began operations with thirty-two broodmares and two stallions, Adam and Handspring. The France-bred Adam was a $75,000 imported son of 1899 English Triple Crown winner Flying Fox.
In 1990, the hardware division of GO was divested as EO Inc. and she continued there from 1990 to 1994, producing the EO Personal Communicator, an early tablet computer. The device did not enjoy commercial success so after the collapse of Go/EO, she worked from 1994 to 2006 on mobile devices at Norand Corporation, Hewlett Packard, Set Engineering, Handspring, and Palm. After taking a sabbatical she founded Vitamin D Video, a machine vision company, in 2007 and served as its Chief Executive Officer until 2010.
On May 19–25, 2014, at the 2014 European Championships in Sofia. Radivilov contributed scores of 14.266 (floor), 15.300 (rings) and 14.700 (vault), helping his country win the team bronze medal with a total score of 262.087 points, behind Great Britain. In event finals, Radivilov won the silver medal on vault (15.050) behind Ablyazin again. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Radivilov debuted a new vault in the event final–a handspring triple front somersault–which had the highest difficulty score of 7.0.
Daniele Hypólito performing on the balance beam in 2007 In the early days of women's artistic gymnastics, beam was based more in dance than in tumbling. Routines even at the elite level were composed with combinations of leaps, dance poses, handstands, rolls and walkovers. In the 1960s, the most difficult acrobatic skill performed by the average Olympic gymnast was a back handspring. Balance beam difficulty began to increase by the way follow me on YouTube @faragan.smithiscool That’ll you I’m 12 years old dramatically in the 1970s.
Biles debuted her vault, a roundoff, back handspring with half turn entry; front stretched somersault with 2 twists (an upgrade from the Cheng) at the selection camp for the 2018 World Championships. During qualifications at the 2018 World Championships Biles successfully landed the new vault and it was therefore named after her and assigned a difficulty value of 6.4, tying it as the most difficult vault in Women's Artistic Gymnastics with the Produnova. As of Biles is the only woman who has performed the Biles vault.
The other 6.0 vaults include the front handspring triple twist (Yang Hak Seon), Tsukahara 3½ twist (Yang Hak Seon 2), full-twisting double Tsukahara (Ri Se Gwang), and double front piked with ½ twist (Ri Se Gwang 2) or more commonly Drăgulescu piked. Because there are more options for men with the very advanced vaults they can perform (e.g. with "double somersault" [two revolutions] vaults) due to the nature of the event and physiological discrepancies between genders, the Amanar remains more popular among women than men.
Mustafina participated in the Palais des Gym showcase event in February along with former Olympic teammate Angelina Melnikova. She performed less challenging routines on bars and beam, but showed impressive skills despite only having returned to training several months previously. On bars, she performed to the song New Rules by Dua Lipa, showing a Pak+Maloney combo, toe on 1/1, and a tucked full-in dismount among other skills. On beam, she performed several leaps as well as an aerial walkover, back handspring, and her signature Onodi.
In the lower levels of gymnastics, the gymnasts do not perform this move. These gymnasts will jump onto the springboard with both feet at the same time and either do a front handspring onto the vault or a roundoff onto the vault. In 2001, the traditional vaulting horse was replaced with a new apparatus, sometimes known as a tongue, horse or vaulting table. The new apparatus is more stable, wider, and longer than the older vaulting horse, approximately 1 m in length and 1 m in width, giving gymnasts a larger blocking surface.
She finished fourth on vault after falling on her second vault, a full-twisting Yurchenko. She also finished fourth on balance beam, with another fall on her back handspring-back tuck series. But on floor, she finished second, just 0.033 behind Farah Ann Abdul Hadi, becoming the only Indonesian gymnast to medal at the competition. In July, at the 2015 Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Tokyo, she performed only her two best events, balance beam and floor, finishing sixth on balance beam and as the first reserve on floor exercise.
The Produnova is a women's artistic gymnastics vault consisting of a front handspring onto the vaulting horse and two front somersaults in a tucked position off it. Under the 2017–2020 Code of Points (artistic gymnastics), the vault has a D-score of 6.4, and is considered one of the hardest vaults ever performed in women's artistic gymnastics. It currently ties for the highest D-score on this apparatus with the Biles vault. It is named after Yelena Produnova of Russia, who was the first person to complete it successfully in 1999.
Saturday Night Live spoofed War Horse on an episode aired 17 December 2011. The sketch features a British couple (played by Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig) attending a regional production of War Horse. Instead of a life-size horse puppet, the role of Joey is played by host Jimmy Fallon, who cavorts around the stage, slapping his legs in an imitation of hoofbeats, neighing, and eventually robot dancing. Handspring Puppet Company artistic directors Basil Jones and Adrian Kohler appeared at the Long Beach TED Talk series in March 2011 to speak about their puppetry.
Rasta reached under Coach Chaabani s instruction an incredible level during that year. He learned how to do all his acrobatic exercises such as Front handsprings, back handsprings, front air somersaults, back air somersaults, back layouts and round off back handspring back tuck and layout. It was a big achievement considering his very young age( only eight years old ) and the short period he was trained in gymnastics ( Seven months ). In swimming and during the same year Rasta won the gold medal in the butterfly stroke during the Saudi Arabia Final in Dahran.

The Amanar for women (or Shewfelt for men) is a skill in vault of artistic gymnastics. The vault was named after the first gymnast to perform it at the World Championships or Summer Olympics: Simona Amânar of Romania for women, and Kyle Shewfelt of Canada for men. Both were originated at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. The vault belongs to the Yurchenko family consisting of a roundoff onto the springboard, back handspring onto the vaulting platform and then 2½ twists into a layout back salto off the table.
The Ayesha is an advanced pole dance position, where the dancer suspends their body weight with two hands in an inverted position, and opens their legs in a V facing the pole. There are several grip variations for the Ayesha, including a split grip, twisted grip, and elbow grip. There are different ways to get into an ayesha: from a basic inversion, by doing a caterpillar to create space between the torso and the pole; from an extended butterfly, bringing the inside leg around toward the face; or directly from a handspring.
Tall Horse was a collaboration between the Sogolon Puppet Troupe of Mali and Handspring Puppet Company. The production has its roots in history – in 1827 the Pasha of Egypt, Muhammad Ali, sent a giraffe as a gift to King Charles X of France. The play dramatised the giraffe's journey across the Mediterranean Sea and the politics underlying it. With initial funding from the John F. Kennedy Centre in Washington, D.C, Tall Horse was further funded by Anglo Gold Ashanti, a mining company with interests in both Mali and South Africa.
Treo 600 was a smartphone developed by Handspring, and offered under the palmOne brand (later Palm, Inc.) after the merger of the two companies. Released in November 2003, it has a number of integrated features and it is possible to check the calendar while talking on the phone, dial directly from contacts list, take pictures or send emails. It includes a five-way navigation button and favorites screen allowing quick access to the phone functions. On October 24, 2004, palmOne officially unveiled the Treo 600's successor, the Treo 650.
After his racing career ended, Hanover was sold to Colonel Milton Young and sent to his McGrathiana Stud farm near Lexington, Kentucky, where he enjoyed a very successful breeding career, becoming the leading sire in the United States for four consecutive years (1885–1889). His offspring include Hall of Fame inductee Hamburg, as well as David Garrick, Halma, Compute, The Commoner, Handspring, Half Time, and Yankee. He was also the damsire of Triple Crown winner Sir Barton. While pawing, Hanover was unable to feel the pain in his 'unnerved' foot, and broke his coffin bone.
A standing back handspring begins with a three phase sequence known as "up, sit, jump". In the up phase, the gymnast stands up straight on flat feet, with arms in front at an angle slightly above horizontal. In the sit phase, the gymnast swings the arms down by the sides of the torso, bends knees, and sits back as if sitting in a chair; while in this position, the gymnast is unbalanced. Together, the sit and jump phases impart angular momentum to the body, causing it to rotate.
Kiara started tumbling at the age of three at Gold Coast Gymnasts located in Ventura, California, landing her third back handspring at about three and a half years old. At age four, Kiara's talent became recognized as she began performing at exhibitions with team gymnasts at Gold Coast, since she wasn't allowed to be on a competitive gymnastics team until age seven. However, at age five, Kiara was scouted for an allstar cheerleading team. Although her original plan was to quit cheerleading at age seven when she could compete with her gymnastic team, she continued competing in both cheerleading and gymnastics.
Tiger then dived onto Pegasus for a diving crossbody but Pegasus countered it and pinned Tiger for the victory. The Great Sasuke competed in his first tournament match against El Samurai, who had qualified for the quarter-final by beating Shinjiro Otani. After a handshake, Samurai dominated the earlier part of the match until Sasuke gained momentum with a handspring back elbow to send Samurai out of the ring followed by a Sasuke Special on Samurai outside the ring. Sasuke tried to toss Samurai back into the ring with a suplex but Samurai countered but Sasuke slowed him down with a spin kick.
Shaposhnikova trained at Dynamo in Rostov-on-Don under Honoured Trainer of the USSR Vladislav Rastorotsky, who also trained her compatriots Ludmilla Tourischeva and Natalia Yurchenko. She was one of the world's strongest gymnasts in the late 1970s and early 1980s, especially on vault. She was known for her difficulty and originality, especially her one-armed handstands on beam. At the 1979 European Championships, she performed one of the first triple twists on floor, and her opening tumbling pass on floor at the 1980 Olympic Games was a roundoff 1.5-twisting layout immediately into a roundoff back handspring double pike.
Drǎgulescu participated in the 2015 Israel Cup winning gold in vault. Meanwhile, he has been training a new skill, potentially the Drǎgulescu 2, which is a Drǎgulescu with a full twist instead of ½. On November 1, 2015, Drǎgulescu participated in the 2015 World Championships held in Glasgow, Scotland, and won the silver medal in the individual vault event final with an average combined score of 15.400. His two vaults were the Drǎgulescu or front handspring double (tucked) somersault with ½ twist, his own skill, and Li Xiaopeng or a "half on–2½ off" with D-scores 6.0 and 6.2.
The one "double somersault" vault that was ever successfully performed by women has long only been the Produnova or "handspring–double front", originated by Yelena Produnova of Russia back in 1999, and was by far the most difficult and highest scoring vault for women for almost two decades until the recent successful completion of the Biles or "½ on–double twist off", originated by Simone Biles of the United States in 2018, which was assigned the same difficulty value as the lowered Produnova D-score of 6.4 in the FIG's 2017–2020 Code of Points for women's artistic gymnastics.
Leafcutter John has engaged in several projects, both commissioned and DIY. Examples include installing microphones under a creaky wooden floor to record and manipulate the sounds in a software program, growing and constructing piezoelectric crystal microphones, touring the Grand Union Canal, building a laser "microphone" and creating a massive morse code chorus for BBC Radio 3. He has also worked on theatre, dance and poetry projects, including commissions from the Handspring Puppet Company, and choreographers Wayne McGregor and Shobana Jeyasingh. Burton is a prodigious instrument builder and uses a self-built light- controlled musical interface at his shows.
Peña participated in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London as one of the favorite competitors for her execution of the movement with the highest difficulty in the vault apparatus (7.1), she qualified fifth in vault scoring 14.933 with the Produnova and 14.466 with the double twisting yurchenko for a final average score of 14.699. She also scored 12.300, ranking 72nd in floor exercise. In the vault finals, Peña suddenly stopped running in the middle of her first vault attempt. She then restarted the vault and sat down her handspring-double front, earning a 0.1 penalty and scoring 14.566.
While good to moderate scientific evidence exists for several of the included training principles – e.g. the inclusion of elastic recoil as well as a training of proprioceptive refinement – there is currently insufficient evidence for the claimed beneficial effects of a fascia oriented exercises program as such, consisting of a combination of the above described four training elements.Schleip R., Baker A.: Fascia in Sport and Movement. Handspring Publishing 2015, Use of foam rollers or a roller massager before or after exercise for self-myofascial release appears to be helpful with regard to range of motion and soreness.
In the vaulting events, gymnasts sprint down a runway, jump onto a springboard (or perform a roundoff or handspring entry onto a springboard), land momentarily inverted on the hands on the vaulting horse or vaulting table (pre-flight segment), then propel themselves forward or backward off that platform to a two-footed landing (post-flight segment). Every gymnast starts at a different point on the vault runway depending on their height and strength. The post-flight segment may include one or more multiple saltos, somersaults, or twisting movements. A round-off entry vault, called a Yurchenko, is the most common vault in the higher levels in gymnastics.
On 25 March 2015, Irfanaluthfi made her international debut at the Doha World Cup, performing on vault, balance beam, and floor exercise. She didn’t make it past qualifications, with scores in the low 11 range. In June 2015, she competed at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games, where she qualified to the all- around final in fifth place and three event finals: vault, in first place; beam, in second place; and floor, in second place. She finished fifth in the all-around final, with a total score of 49.600, after falling on her 2.5 twist on floor and her back handspring-back tuck series on beam.
Marian Drăgulescu (born December 18, 1980 in Bucharest) is a Romanian artistic gymnast. During his senior gymnastics career he has won an impressive 31 medals at Olympic games, and World or European Championships, of which eight are gold medals at the World Championships. He excels in vault and floor, on which he is a multiple world champion and Olympic medalist. His name will remain in gymnastics history not only because of his world titles on floor (2001, 2002, 2006, 2009) and vault (2001, 2005, 2006, 2009), but also because of the extremely difficult vault named after him: a handspring double front somersault with ½ turn or the Drăgulescu.
The only competitor to have fully hit her routine, Ana Padurariu of Canada, sat at the top of the leaderboard, followed by Simone Biles of the United States who had made several smaller errors. Liu performed an exceptional routine featuring strong ring leaps and her signature front handspring-front tuck acrobatic series to take the gold medal in stunning fashion. Among the finalists, Liu earned both the highest difficulty (6.3) and the highest execution (8.233) scores, and she alone was awarded with her entire attempted connection value score. Liu became the sixth Chinese woman to win the World balance beam title and the first since Sui Lu in 2011.
At the 1999 University Games, Produnova won vault and beam titles, and also finished 2nd in the AA and first in the team competition. It was here that she debuted her handspring double front vault, since known as a Produnova. It is the highest rated vault according to the Code of Points, and as of August 2016 only four other female gymnasts have attempted this vault in competition – Yamilet Peña from Dominican Republic, Fadwa Mahmoud from Egypt, Oksana Chusovitina from Uzbekistan and Dipa Karmakar from India. The 1999 World Championships in Tianjin, China, Produnova finished fourth in the vault, bars, floor and all- around finals.
After Handspring was re-acquired by Palm, Inc in 2003, Pine had amassed sufficient wealth to leave the corporate law industry and make another run for political office. He ran unopposed for a seat on the Burlingame School District Board of Trustees and served until 2006, when he was Board President. In 2007, Pine was elected to the San Mateo Union High School District Board of Trustees. The district, which was in 2008 facing a financial crisis, hired new Superintendent Scott Laurence, previous coach, teacher, Dean of Students, and Principal at Gunn High School in Palo Alto, and Superintendent of Palo Alto Unified School District.
She was also ranked 11th in the all-around (49.150), eighth on uneven bars (11.825), fifth on beam (12.500) and seventh on floor exercise (11.275). The National Gymnastics Federation asked the Dominican Republic Ministry of Sports and Olympic Committee to contribute about RD$600,000 (Dominican Pesos)approximately in August 2011to pay for the use of a training camp in the United States and for sending a team to the 2011 World Championships. For the first time, Peña participated at the World Gymnastics Championships in Tokyo, qualifying third in the vault event with a score of 14.466 after successfully landing the Produnovaa handspring double front, which had not been performed since 1999.
Kentridge had been working for some years with the Handspring Puppet Company in Johannesburg before the idea for Ubu and the Truth Commission was mooted, and had extensive experience of theatre that incorporated animation, puppets and actors. He did not, he claimed, pursue the multimedia realm because of any aesthetic ideal, but rather because he was skilled in the art of animation anyway and was curious to see how it would combine with puppet theatre. Woyzeck on the Highveld (1993) and Faustus in Africa (1996) were successful tone-setters in this respect. The latter, according to Kentridge, was "a huge undertaking",Kentridge 2007, p. ix.
The book has also been made into a play adapted by Nick Stafford. The play, also called War Horse, was staged at the Olivier Theatre, National Theatre in London. The production opened on 17 October 2007 and was met with critical acclaim – its use of life-size puppets of horses from the Handspring Puppet Company won an Olivier Award, Evening Standard Theatre Award and London Critics' Circle Theatre Award for design. In February 2010 it was revealed that the play would transfer to Broadway in New York City, and has since been seen in separate and touring productions in Canada, Australia, South Africa, the Netherlands, and Japan, as well as translations into German (Gefährten) and Chinese (战马).
NBC Olympics Marian Drăgulescu His success at the 2004 Europeans made him one of the favorites for medals at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. At the 2004 Olympic Games Drăgulescu helped his team to a bronze medal and was a forerunner in the all around event until a mistake on the high bar, after which he still thrilled the crowd with a difficult routine. He won silver in the men's floor only after a tiebreaker was needed with gold medalist Kyle Shewfelt. On the men's vault he performed the exceptionally difficult vault that bears his name (a handspring double front with half turn) and received a 9.9, the highest score awarded in World or Olympic competition since 1995.
Yamilet Peña Abreu (born December 4, 1992 in Santo Domingo) is an elite artistic gymnast from the Dominican Republic who won a gold medal at the 2014 World Challenge Cup and the 2012 Pan American Championship in vault and a bronze medal at the 2012 World Cup. She is known for her execution of the Produnovaa handspring double front on vault. She qualified for the vault finals at the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2011 and the 2013 World Championships. Peña won a silver medal in vault during the IV ALBA Games and qualified for the finals in the same apparatus at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games and the 2011 Pan American Games.

Vincent Denigris (1938 – August 1984) was an Argentine professional wrestler better known by his ring name Vicente Denigris or Argentina Apollo (often Vittorio Argentina Apollo). He was part of the Chicago Comiskey Park shows in 1961, teaming with Antonino Rocca, and a popular star on Studio Wrestling during the 1960s. His main work was for the World Wide Wrestling Federation 1963-1968 and various territories of the National Wrestling Alliance, most notably, Championship Wrestling from Florida and Georgia Championship Wrestling. He was best known for his gymnastics in the ring, performing such feats as climbing onto the ropes, performing a back aerial somersault into a roll, then using a handspring to return to his feet and to throw a savate kick to his opponent's midsection.
The crowd pleasing athlete placed 4th at the 1992 Olympic trials and was awarded a place on the United States Olympic team. Despite battling very painful tendinitis in both ankles and Osgood-Schlatter disease during pre-Olympic training, Dawes performed respectably throughout the competition, even having the boldness to try a brand-new move in her balance beam routine during team competition - back handspring to three layout stepouts. She also won over the crowd with a solid optional floor exercise routine and, with a mark of 9.925, tied with Kim Zmeskal for the highest score for the American team on the event.Scores by gymnast for the 1992 Olympics team competition Gymn-Forum The team won bronze, and Dawes and teammate Betty Okino became the first African American females to win an Olympic-gymnastics medal.
Her Playboy modeling was also worked into a WWE storyline (based, in part, on a real-life legal feud between the WWE and the conservative Parents Television Council), in which it drew the ire of the Right to Censor (a group of morally conservative wrestlers). Shortly after, Laurer began a feud with Ivory, a member of the Right to Censor, over the Women's Championship. This culminated in a storyline at the Royal Rumble where Laurer appeared to reinjure her neck while performing a handspring back elbow. In order to better convince the audience that she was injured, color commentator Jerry Lawler left the commentators' booth and entered the ring to check on Laurer's condition, something he had not done since the in-ring accident that killed Owen Hart in 1999.
The MCA Stage—the museum’s performing arts program founded in 1996—features performers ranging from Chicago-based artists such as eighth blackbird and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago to artists from the Congo, Poland, Mexico, Ireland, and beyond. Under Taub’s leadership, the MCA Stage developed an ensemble-in-residence program as well as the MCA Composers Stage series, which is devoted to supporting the new and experimental music scene, and the MCA Global Stage series, which features international theater companies. Taub has commissioned new works for the MCA by artists including Meg Stuart/Damaged Goods, The Builders Association, William Kentridge/Handspring Puppet Company, and Ernest Khabeer Dawkins, among others. In 2007, the MCA commissioned cello and video work by Maya Beiser, and it commissioned a work by Reggie Wilson/Fist and Heel Performance Group.
In February, Peña received the Female Athlete of the Year in Gymnastics award. In March, she received an Athlete of the Year award from the Sports Writers Association of Santo Domingo. In April, Peña publicly complained about earning just RD$3,000approximately US$78 in April 2012and being rated D, the lowest class among Dominican Republic athletes, despite having qualified for the Olympics and having won a World Cup medal. In April, Peña finished the qualifying round in first place of the vault event at the 2012 World Cup held in Zibo, People's Republic of China. She scored 14.800 after successfully performing the handspring double front and a 1½ twisting Yurchenko, and finished ahead of Chinese Cheng Fei (14.425) and Mexican Alexa Moreno (14.312). Peña later won the bronze medal after landing the Produnova, scoring 14.125 points after the two rounds.
Miller showed less difficulty, particularly on the floor exercise (where she performed a whip to tucked full-in for her mount, a whip to double pike for her middle pass, and a tucked full-in for her dismount), but was impressive on beam with her back handspring to three layouts sequence, her superior form, and a stuck full-in dismount. Galiyeva was always angry and bitter about having given up her place in the all-around to Gutsu, feeling that she had had no option but to agree. The two split the prize money between them, but they stopped speaking after the Olympics. The substitution was against the rules (as Galiyeva's injury was not genuine), but such switches were and are common in gymnastics, usually when a gymnast considered to be the best on the team makes a mistake in qualifications and thus finishes behind a teammate who is considered weaker.

In a highly popular segment, Jones and Kohler introduce the Handspring philosophy towards the 'life' of a puppet, before demonstrating their points with the help of the puppet Joey (performed by original National Theatre cast members Craig Leo and Tommy Luther and original West End cast member Mikey Brett). As Malone and Jackman observe: > As Joey tentatively enters the stage space, he is met with a spontaneous > ovation sparked by the immediacy of the live moment, in turn aided by the > fact that Kohler and Jones never stray from the game that dictates they > treat him as a live horse. This playful notion helps Joey’s creators invite > the audience to believe in his aliveness, and the audience succumbs, not > only for his lifelike movement, but also for the way he is activated by > those around him. As both creators and performers, Jones and Kohler soothe > Joey’s “nervousness,” and a planned moment when Joey “notices” the audience > elicits a generous laugh.
Michaels performed Sweet Chin Music on Triple H but fell himself, resulting in the match ending in a draw and Triple H retained the title. Ri was the first North Korean ever to win a gold medal on vault at the Asian Games, where he performed solidly at the 2006 Asian Games and was the first one for North Korea on that apparatus. He later went on to win a bronze medal on vault at the 2007 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. In 2009, Ri successfully performed an extremely difficult new vault, a Tsukahara (1/4 entry in the first flight) on the vaulting table, followed by a full twisting double backwards salto in tuck position. The new vault is named after Ri. The vault, now officially named the Ri Se Gwang, was valued a difficulty score of 7.2 and the second highest difficulty value in the world, with Yang Hak Seon's vault the Yang Hak Seon (front handspring triple twist) being the most difficult with a start value of 7.4 in the previous 2009-2012 Code of Points for men's artistic gymnastics (MAG).
The scheme of using bags for bodies served to provide a suitable of place of hiding for Ubu, an easy place of discovery for his wife and an ideal place for Ubu to plant incriminatory evidence by which he could distance himself from their crimes. Rather uniquely,In late September 1998, admittedly, when the play put in an afternoon appearance at the University of California, Los Angeles, it was followed the same evening by Teatro Hugo & Ines of Lima, Peru (a country quite familiar with the TRC concept), which employed the same technique. Ubu and the Truth Commission allowed its puppeteers free and undisguised reign over the stage, and took advantage of the potential for interaction between them and their puppets. It was agreed early on in the play's conception that the TRC witnesses would be represented by puppets with their speaking manipulators visible next to them, for that was almost always the case with Handspring.
Currently, there is only one top-rated I (0.9) skill for men, which is the Miyachi on high bar, or double-twisting straight Kovac release, by Hidetaka Miyachi of Japan while there is also only one top-rated J (1.0) skill for women, which is the Biles 2 on floor, or triple-twisting double (tucked) back somersault, by Simone Biles of the United States. Due to the nature of apparatus, the vault event's difficulty scores for men are rated from 1.6 to 6.0 while for women are from 2.0 to 6.4. Currently, there are four men's vaults with the top rate of 6.0, but only two women's vaults with the top rate of 6.4, which are the Produnova, or handspring double front somersault, by Yelena Produnova of Russia, and Biles, or "half on–double full off", by Biles again. Difficulty score of the Yurchenko triple twist (or triple-twisting Yurchenko [TTY]) on women's vault has also earlier been assessed ahead to a value of 6.8, and will receive eponymous naming as soon as it is successfully completed (it has already been attempted) in competition.
Qiao Ya (; born January 10, 1977) is a retired Chinese artistic gymnast. She was the 1994 Asian Games All-Around Champion, a finalist on balance beam at the 1994 and 1995 World Gymnastics Championships, and competed at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta – where she placed 11th in the individual All-Around and 4th with the team during Team Finals. Despite a disappointing showing at the 1994 American Cup, Qiao began her international career on a high: beating her more widely known teammate, Mo Huilan, to the individual All-Around title at the 1994 Asian Games. At these championships Qiao also placed first with her team and finished with a bronze medal on balance beam. At the 1994 World Championships Qiao had moderate success – finishing 10th in the individual all-around and making the balance beam final. She qualified for the beam final in 4th place and was one of the favourites to challenge America's Shannon Miller for the title but took a fall during the final on her tumbling run (a back-handspring to two layout somersaults), and ultimately finished in 7th place.
On March, Irfanaluthfi competed at Doha World Cup. She competed only on balance beam, place 31st with scores of 11.233 those failed to make it to final. She competed on all events expect uneven bars, where she placed eight on vault after a fall from her newly upgrade handspring front pike with half turn vault, sixth on balance beam, and fourth on floor exercise. On 6–8 July, Irfanaluthfi competed at the Mersin Challenge Cup in Mersin, Turkey. She earned silver medal on vault with a 13.400 average, won her first world cup medal, and earned her second medal, a bronze on floor exercise with 12.150. On 21–24 August, Irfanaluthfi competed at the 2018 Asian Games in her hometown Jakarta. On qualification she fell twice from uneven bars, her first event at the games and scores a 8.550 the lowest scores on the event, on balance beam her scores 12.400 placed her as first reserve for the final, missed out a placed in final by a tie breaker, on floor exercise she qualified fifth with 12.650, and qualified fifth on vault with average 13.500.
Love for trampoline developed twisting talent and its extreme-combination mastery. More than every male gymnast, six eponymous skills—three each on floor (FX) and vault (VT)—were officially named to Shirai, automatically or with petition, as he was the first to successfully perform them at major international competitions. All six original elements are the (1) Shirai or Shirai-Nguyen on floor—quadruple-twisting (back) straight, (2) Shirai 2 on floor—(straight) triple twist forwards, (3) Shirai 3 on floor—triple-twisting double (back) straight, (4) Shirai or Shirai-Kim on vault—Yurchenko (vault family skills within men’s artistic gymnastics [MAG] via round-off [RO]–back handspring [BH] entry on platform) triple twist, or triple-twisting Yurchenko (TTY), (5) Shirai 2 on vault—3½-twisting Yurchenko, and (6) Shirai 3 on vault—RO–full-twisting BH (Scherbo) on into (straight back) double twist off, or aka a “full on–double full off”. Each of the difficulty score (D-score) value—F (0.6), F (0.6), H (0.8), 5.6, 6.0 and 5.4 respectively—was assigned ahead by the body governing all disciplines of competitive gymnastics, International Federation of Gymnastics (FIG), which has also included MAG and women’s artistic gymnastics (WAG), and made effective in the 2017–2020 Code of Points (CoP).
