Before he could operate, however, Fish suffered a convulsion that left him brain dead, and three days later he died after being taken off life support. After defeating The Conundrum (Jigsaw and Rorschach) in the first round of the tournament, Icarus and Akuma were eliminated from the tournament by Icarus' former stable mates Hallowicked and Blind Rage of the Night Shift, who would go on to win the entire tournament. After the tournament Team F.I.S.T. began feuding with the Wildcards (Eddie Kingston and BlackJack Marciano). 2003 ended with the Wildcards taking advantage of a hairline fracture in Akuma's ankle and defeating Team F.I.S.T. in a No Disqualification match on October 18. In 2004 the feud evolved with Jigsaw joining the Wildcards to form the Toxic Trio, which led to Mike Quackenbush coming to the aid of Team F.I.S.T. The feud came to an end on May 22, 2004, at Chikara's third anniversary show, when Icarus, Akuma and Quackenbush defeated the Toxic Trio in an Ultimate Jeopardy match and as a result both of the Wildcards were shaved bald.

An initial ruling of fielder's choice was changed to a stolen base the following day. Jankowski stole home again when he broke for the plate on Eric Fryer's return throw to Antonio Bastardo in the eighth inning of a 4-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park on August 10. Jankowski finished the 2016 season with a .245/.332/.313 batting line and 30 stolen bases in 131 games played, including 82 starts. Jankowski was the Padres Opening Day left fielder in 2017, but he fouled a ball off his foot on April 14, resulting in what was initially diagnosed as a deep bone bruise. After trying to play through the injury, he was eventually diagnosed with a hairline fracture and moved to the disabled list on April 24. Jankowski began a rehab assignment in July and was activated and optioned to El Paso in August, as José Pirela had taken over in left field for the Padres.

Soon afterwards, Broadfoot's injury jinx struck again, resulting in him being ruled out until January. However, he then suffered a hairline fracture of his heel and his return was further delayed, missing the rest of the season. Ahead of the new season, Broadfoot made his first appearance from injury in a 1–0 loss against German side Sportfreunde Lotte Broadfoot noted his future at Rangers could be in doubt if his first team opportunities were limited. After a 2–0 win over Kilmarnock, he was involved in an altercation with opponent Manuel Pascali after the full- time whistle, with manager Ally McCoist describing the pair's actions as 'handbags' Broadfoot criticised Kilmarnock manager, Kenny Shiels – after he described Broadfoot as "the ugly boy from Rangers" and "the male model from Ayrshire" in a radio interview – as immature and also claimed that Pascali made a threat towards him saying "in my face, saying he was going to kill me".

2010 had brought a mixed year for Conor with a great start to the TT on his Macadoo Kawasaki and a good NW200 but it all ended with a crash at the senior TT. He sustained a badly broken left arm, two bone fractures in his back, a dislocated knee and ligament damage, bruising to his lungs and a hairline fracture to his pelvis in the spill before being airlifted to Nobles Hospital. The crash occurred on the second lap of the Senior race, which had been restarted, coincidentally, after a heavy crash involving Conor's good friend Guy Martin, who fortunately escaped serious injury. In the restart, a lap of 131.123 mph saw Conor slot into third place just over two seconds off the race lead. By Ramsey on lap two, he was up to second and only three seconds adrift of race leader Ian Hutchinson only for his crash to occur a few miles later on the high speed right hand bends at the Verandah.

For the British GP, Lotus cars founder and Team Lotus principal Chapman started to enter a third car with Emerson Fittipaldi. With the reliable 49C, the young Brazilian finished his first three GPs while Miles had to retire in both races, dogged by a hairline fracture in the water pipes, leading to retirement at quarter distance and slowing his progress during the race at Brands and Hockenheim, when finally running with a 72, close to Rindt's 72 specifications, he would have been reasonably competitive. Miles qualified seventh at Brands Hatch, 1.2 seconds slower than Rindt on pole, who beat Brabham on the finishing line to win the British GP. Rindt scored a final victory at Hockenheim where Miles qualified tenth and diced with Surtees and Denny Hulme, until the Lotus 72's Cosworth blew. With the three car team, Miles's car did not get the same attention as Chapman obviously saw Fittipaldi as the future, as his old Lotus was seriously prepared and finished eighth and fourth in the British and German races, while the failure to discover, the fracture leaking water saw Miles retire at both races and had blown three Cosworth V8s during the practice sessions.

The second was from 1994–95 to 1996–97. During his absence from Chicago, he played for the Montreal Canadiens (1990–91 to 1992–93) and the Tampa Bay Lightning (1993–94 to 1994–95). On June 29, 1990, Savard was infamously traded to the Montreal Canadiens for star defenceman Chris Chelios and a second-round pick (Mike Pomichter), a transaction that has since been considered largely in Chicago's favor as Chelios would produce some of his best seasons as a Blackhawk while Savard's career was on the decline. Savard won the Stanley Cup with the Canadiens in 1993, although Savard was kept out of much of the postseason due to a hairline fracture in his ankle, and was essentially an assistant coach by the clinching game five. He signed as a free agent with the Tampa Bay Lightning in the summer of 1993, where he played a season and a half. On April 6, 1995, Savard was traded back to Chicago, for a 1996 sixth- round pick (Xavier Delisle). Savard's NHL career would end where it had started, with the Blackhawks. In 1,196 NHL games, Savard scored 473 goals and 865 assists, totalling 1338 points.

Arsenal in 2018 On 31 August 2016, Wilshere completed a season long loan move to AFC Bournemouth for the 2016–17 season and was given the number 32 which was previously worn by midfielder Eunan O'Kane. On 10 September 2016, Wilshere played his first match for Bournemouth as a 63rd- minute substitute against West Bromwich Albion as they won 1–0. Wilshere then won consecutive Player of the Month awards for Bournemouth for November and December 2016. On 15 April 2017, Wilshere suffered a hairline fracture to his left fibula after his clash with Harry Kane in a match against Tottenham at White Hart Lane. On 19 April 2017, it was confirmed that Wilshere would miss the rest of the season after making 29 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth and would be treated back at Arsenal. During the summer leading into the 2017–18 season, various clubs showed interest in signing the midfielder but by mid-August, Wenger confirmed he had plans for him this season. On 15 September, he made his first appearance for Arsenal since August 2016 as a substitute in the second half against FC Köln in the Europa League. On 20 September, Wilshere made his first start in over 16 months against Doncaster Rovers and played for the full 90 minutes.

At the end of March 2009, he suffered a hairline fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot and was ruled out for the rest of the season. Davies enjoyed a successful 2009–10 preseason for Derby, scoring four goals in as many games, prompting manager Nigel Clough to challenge to maintain the form and claim a first team spot heading into the new season. Despite starting in the first team, a succession of injuries meant that Davies only played in two matches between the end of August 2009 and January 2010. After returning to the side in a 1–1 draw away to Millwall in the FA Cup third round on 2 January 2010, Davies embarked on a run of five consecutive appearances, though four were as substitute, his best run of matches since March 2009, and netted twice – the equaliser in the Third Round replay against Millwall and a penalty in a 3–0 win at Peterborough United. Following this run, however, his fitness problems returned and he made four starts in the next seventeen fixtures and, after a late substitute appearance against Crystal Palace in the penultimate home fixture of the campaign, the club announced Davies was to undergo ankle surgery which ruled him out until 1 June.
