Its guiding telescopes are used mostly to watch stars and planets - e.g. a Pluto- hunt every spring, for which the guider is barely big enough to allow the human eye to see it under good seeing conditions.

Alice Behrens was appointed the first Guider-in-Charge. Each room was adopted by Guides from a country, county of Britain or school and embellished and furnished by them. Helen Storrow gave the money to equip the small lodge and Juliette Low stayed in it for several weeks to get it in order. Senator and Mrs William A. Clark furnished the Garden Room in memory of their daughter, after whom Camp Andree Clark (now part of the Edith Macy Conference Center) in the US is named.

The original Chalet with traditional building dedication The formal opening for both Chalets was on 31 July 1932 by Storrow and Olave Baden-Powell with many villagers, Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from around the world, and Robert Baden-Powell in attendance. Falk became the World Centre's first "Guider in Charge". The original plan was for Our Chalet to be open during the summer and for a brief winter holiday, but it was so popular that it soon opened to support the year-round demand.

The most famous monarch was perhaps Cynlas Goch, the son of Owain Ddantgwyn, who lived in the early 6th century and was denounced by the monk, Gildas. He wrote (in Latin) that Cynlas was the “guider of the chariot which is the receptacle of the bear“. The latter may refer to a “Fort of the Bear”, possibly Dinerth, the name of a hillfort on Bryn Euryn in Llandrillo-yn-Rhos. The road that runs below the western side of the hill is still called Dinerth Road and Dinarth Hall is nearby.

Samantha Knight's body has never been found; Guider showed no remorse, and said he could not remember what he did with her body. Guider's statements about Samantha Knight over the years were contradictory. Initially he said he could remember nothing about what he did with her. Later he said he had buried her in Cooper Park, in the Sydney suburb of Bellevue Hill, but had dug her up later and put her in a skip at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, Kirribilli, where he had worked as a gardener at the time.

Alice Muriel Gaddum (née Behrens ; 23 April 1885 – 28 June 1952)England & Wales, National Probate Calendar (Index of Wills and Administrations), 1858-1966, 1973-1995 was a British advocate of Girl Guiding and is remembered chiefly for her contribution to the training of adults in the movement. She was the first Guider-in-Charge at Foxlease and Head of Training. She was the daughter of Sir Charles Behrens and Emily, Lady Behrens. In 1913, Behrens was persuaded by Helen Malcolm to become the Commissioner for the Guides in Manchester and organise them.

The path of the landfill of what used to be the creek follows Shore Parkway, Guider Avenue, and the triangular block between Neptune Avenue and Cass Place to a bulkhead at Sheepshead Bay. Burnt, sunken barges in Gravesend Bay mouth of the creek A northwestern part of the creek is known as a "ship graveyard" for the dead and abandoned ships found there. At southern shore of the creek, the remains of a yellow submarine, the Quester I, protrudes from the water. Built from salvaged metal in the late 1960s, it was never able to maintain an even keel and was abandoned.

He claimed that he had drugged her the way he had always drugged his victims, and claimed he had accidentally given her a fatal overdose, saying she regained consciousness and he then gave her a second dose because he did not want her to recognise him. In 2000 a delegation of Association of Belarusian Guides took part in the Viennese International Regional Camp "Vienna 2000", in 2003 a delegation took part in the Freelife Jamboree in Upper Austria, in 2008 Guides from Belarus took part in AQUA!-The Water Jamboree also in Upper Austria and in spring 2009 a Guider from the Association of Belarusian Guides took part in the Wood Badge training course of Pfadfinder und Pfadfinderinnen Österreichs. In 2003/04 the Austrian Boy Scouts and Girl Guides supported "Mediaboom", a project on media and journalism of the Belarusian Girl Guides.

Bosler was instrumental in establishing long-running holiday programs for handicapped children in Sydney's northern beaches. In 1997 Bosler founded the Australia Seniors Computer Clubs Association (ASCCA). She has represented ASCCA nationally and internationally and has been a member of the Cyber Security Awareness Week Committee, Broadband for Seniors Kiosk Consortium, Ambassador for Seniors Week (2013-2015), a member of the New South Wales Carers Advisory Council (2010-2014) and a National Cyber Security Awareness Ambassador, 2013. Bosler was associated with the Girl Guides in many different roles for more than 50 years including serving as Assistant Region Commissioner, Division Commissioner, District Commissioner, Commissioner Trainer, Committee Member and Brownie Guider.

Pir Hadi Hassan Bux Shah Jilani (Sindhi:پير هادي حسن بخش شاه جيلاني), (Urdu: پیر هادی حسن بکش شاه جیلانی), (Arbic:پير هادي حسن بخش شاه جيلاني), (Persian: پیر هادی حسن بکش شاه جیلانی), (Hindi: हादी हसन बख्श शाह जिलानी), commonly known by the title Hadi ("The Guider") (1262-1318 AH), was an eminent Sufi saint from Sanghar in modern-day Pakistan who belonged to Qadiriyya Sufi order. Pir Hadi Hassan Bux Shah Jilani (1262-1318AH) also called Hadi Sain and known as saint and sufi poet. He was born at dargha bhuro bhawan shah jilani near Hyderabad Sindh and live most of his life in duthro sharif sanghar sindh after tervaling through the sindh to spread out Iaspam and sufism. His poetry divided in many languages it most of it is in sindhi.

This guiding is done through a second co-mounted telescope called a "guide scope" or via some type of "off-axis guider", a device with a prism or optical beam splitter that allows the observer to view the same image in the telescope that is taking the picture. Guiding was formerly done manually throughout the exposure with an observer standing at (or riding inside) the telescope making corrections to keep a cross hair on the guide star. Since the advent of computer-controlled systems, this is accomplished by an automated system in professional and even amateur equipment. Astronomical photography was one of the earliest types of scientific photography and almost from its inception it diversified into subdisciplines that each have a specific goal including star cartography, astrometry, stellar classification, photometry, spectroscopy, polarimetry, and the discovery of astronomical objects such as asteroids, meteors, comets, variable stars, novae, and even unknown planets.
