The cheerful composition of "Birthday", the album's fourth track, was compared to another titular song by American singer Katy Perry, and was noted for its very "girly" appeal. The song "It" was described as a love song by critics, and features uptempo instrumentation and various whistles through its hook "Be it, I just wanna be it,". Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah's son Jay Shah filed a criminal defamation case against the editors of The Wire for printing an article titled 'The Golden Touch of Jay Amit Shah', an investigative story by Rohini Singh. A BJP-led coalition had formed the government at the centre following their win in the 2014 Indian general election, and Narendra Modi had become the Prime Minister. The vice that for so many years had run rampant in Terre Haute was on the way out by the time Terre Haute businessman and Indianapolis Motor Speedway owner Tony Hulman purchased the hotel along with the Terre Haute House Garage and Terre Haute Opera House in 1959. Hulman, whose fortune was made in his family's distillery, wholesale grocery and baking powder businesses, radio and TV stations, utility companies, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, wanted to breathe new life into the old hotel. He'd proven time and again that with careful investment, good stewardship, and solid advertising, he could turn a profit from virtually any entity he touched. But not even the man with the seemingly golden touch could stave off the inevitable for long.

In its first year, the Grassfield High School Drama Department collected many awards for its performances. Some awards include Second place at the state level for VHSL Theatre competition, best actor awards and best ensemble from the Greek play "Medea". In their second year, The Grassfield Theater Company travelled to the VTA and got second place in the state, first in districts regionals and state for VHSL, winning two best actor awards and first place overall for their production of John Steinbeck's The Pearl. Grassfield has consistently held one of the top theatre departments in the region, winning 1st place in the VHSL Southeast District competition thirteen years consecutively, and once the reorganization of VHSL, the theatre company has been the Conference 2 champion, regional champion in 2014, and garnered VHSL State Championships for Region 6A in 2014 with their production of "King Midas and the Golden Touch" as well as their original play "Digital Breadcrumbs" in 2016.

It is also known that Koboi bankrupted her father's business after he tried to dissuade her from studying engineering (as he expected his daughter to follow the normal path in life for female pixies: namely, marrying a suitable husband) and that she has a long, bitter rivalry with Foaly since their days at university, and that one of Opal's main goals is to prove she is intellectually superior to the centaur.
