Recruited by Frieza and going to Earth, Paragus unleashes Broly upon Vegeta to get revenge. Broly quickly adapts and holds his own against Vegeta and Goku but gradually loses control of his mind and rage. Then Frieza kills Paragus to provoke Broly into becoming a powerful Legendary Super Saiyan. In this form, he is able to defeat Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan Blue forms, forcing them to retreat and fuse into Gogeta, leaving Frieza at Broly's mercy.

On the planet Mars, John Carter and Gullivar Jones have assembled an alliance of Martian races to combat an invading race of non-Martian aliens called "Molluscs" (the aliens from H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds). After a fierce battle, the Martian alliance successfully force the Molluscs off Mars. As they leave, however, Carter worries they may be going to Earth. On Earth, in the year 1898, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (consisting of Allan Quatermain, Dr Henry Jekyll, Mina Murray, Captain Nemo and Hawley Griffin) arrive in Horsell Common, where a Mollusc spaceship lies at the centre of an impact crater.

This version is Bebop's ordinary pet turtle that was mutated by Rocksteady with an experimental super-mutagen to do the cleaning Shredder often had them to do. In this incarnation his obsession with palm trees was in particularly focused on the plastic tree in his bowl before mutation which he called his "Binky". When Bebop accidentally dropped it down an air duct, Slash went berserk and stole Shredder's Shaolin swords and then chased them through the Technodrome before going to Earth due to some quick thinking on Bebop's part. There, Slash ran into a corrupt businessman that wanted to build condos in the sewers.

With Leatherhead's help, Slash was able to control his violent spree and informed that he would be allowed to stay in a grove of lush palm trees he so loved. Grateful, he went on to become a member of the Mutanimals, ultimately sacrificing himself later to save the Turtles. In the 1987 cartoon, Slash (voiced by Pat Fraley) was Bebop's pet turtle, mutated by Rocksteady to carry out an assignment that Shredder wanted them to do. Hunt Terrier (not "hunting terrier") refers to types of terrier dogs that were attached to British "hunts", horse-oriented social clubs devoted to chasing the red fox on horseback, following packs of hounds. The hunt terrier was kept for a variety of reasons, such as rat control around stables and kennels, and to run with the hounds to flush the fox from small hiding places. It might also be expected to flush foxes from underground dens ("going to earth" like a working terrier), or to act as a lurcher. They tended to be white in colour so as to be more easily seen by the hunter, but they could be any colour.

During the fight, Vess confesses that she's angry with Gram because he did not try to stop her from going to Earth and because he let her go alone; Gram argues he thought it was the best future for her. After Vess vented all her personal frustrations, the two finally make up their differences and embrace each other as a loving couple. However, before the two can be together, Vess had to settle things in her terms; she surrenders to the military to face punishment, but her father intervenes and walks away unpunished and agrees to return to Earth after he concludes his business in Mars. Gram and the Aurora crew eventually found the God Stones.
