It is revealed that the thieves are unable to find the money in the secret compartment, and the briefcase ends up in the godown of the Salesman outside Rahul's office. Sachin and Zaramud go back to Rahul to inform about the debacle. The Wharf (Holdings) Limited (), or Wharf (九倉) in short, is a company founded in 1886 in Hong Kong. As its name suggests, the company's original business was in running wharfage and dockside warehousing, and it was originally known as The Hong Kong and Kowloon Wharf and Godown Company, Limited and founded by Sir Paul Chater.

Lau Chü-pak (5 June 1867 – 3 May 1922) was a Hong Kong merchant and politician. Lau Chu-pak was admitted to the Queen's College in the same year as Sun Yat-sen. He became a clerk at the Hong Kong Observatory and later went into business and became a comprador of the West Point Godown Company in 1888 and of A. S. Watson from 1893. Together with Ho Fook, they founded the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in which he became the chairman of the chamber later on.

CEK in 2000s The initial functioning of the college was from temporary premises in three rooms of at a hall in Karunagappally town. Later it is shifted to a government godown in Karunagappally. This piece is an experimental multi media production that incorporates performance, installation, photography and video. In this work, Kyambi collaborated with another artist and choreographer James Mweu, along with dancers from the Kunja Dance Theatre to help her perform and create material that centralizes her personal, contemporary viewpoints; such as the body, gender issues and social perception. Kyambi and her dancers performed this piece over a period of four weeks and their final performance was held on 5 July 2014. This performing art piece was hosted at GoDown Arts Centre in Nairobi.

Bokhary began his career in Hong Kong managing a dockside godown, a position he found thanks to his army logistics experience. He received accolades and promotions for his ability to keep his workers happy, and his skilled handling of the growth in ship traffic resulting from the Communist Party of China's takeover of Shanghai. He eventually came to manage an entire wharf, and with his increased responsibilities, began taking night classes in accountancy at the University of Hong Kong. He retired from his wharf position in the 1970s.

Vyathit was born Kedar Man Shrestha,in Kartik, 1971 BS (Oct–Nov, 1914), to father Suryaman and mother Padma Kumari Shrestha, in a village called Baune Pati or Banaune Pati, in Bansbari of Sindhupalchok District in east-central Nepal. As an infant, he was taken to his maternal uncle/grandparents' home in Syangja, where he was raised for four years before being moved again, to be raised in Kathmandu. He dropped out of school after passing the third grade, and worked in a timber godown. Around the age of 18, he married Jyotsana Pradhan, daughter of Chakrasundar and Shivamaya Pradhan.

Historically, the railway line has been used to transport raw materials to the Bata factory at Digha and finished leather goods from the factory to different locations. After independence, the railway track was used to provide connectivity to the Food Corporation of India godown in Digha. Following the revival of the railway track in 1962–63, a seven-coach passenger train powered by a steam engine was used to move passengers from Patna to Digha in the morning and from Digha to Patna in the evening. Kedar Man Vyathit ( (1971–2055 BS); also spelt, first name:Kedarman, last name:Byathit (1914–1998 CE)) was a Nepali poet of Nepali, Newar and Hindi languages. Educated up to the third grade, he started out as an employee of a timber godown, but later co-founded Nepali Citizens Rights Forum with Sukraraj Shastri. Sentenced to 18 years for treason by the Rana regime in 1997 BS (1942 CE), he was tutored in poetry by Siddhicharan Shrestha in prison. After the fall of the Ranas, he grew close to the monarchy, becoming a member of King Tribhuvan's Adviser Assembly, and, later, cabinet minister during both King Mahendra and King Birendra's reign.

The Keswick family (pronounced with a silent "w", "Kezzick") are a business dynasty of Scottish origin associated with the Far East region since 1855 and in particular the conglomerate Jardine Matheson. As tai-pans of Jardine Matheson & Company, the Keswick family have at some time been closely associated with the ownership or management of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, the Indo-China Steam Navigation Company Ltd., the Canton Insurance Office Ltd, (now the HSBC Insurance Co), The Hongkong and Kowloon Wharf and Godown Company Limited, Star Ferry, Hong Kong Tramway, the Hong Kong Land Investment and Agency Co Ltd, and the Hongkong and Whampoa Dock Co Ltd.

In an effort to decongest the traffic at the Chennai Central railway station, Egmore was announced as the second terminal, and the railways has decided to make Tambaram as the third terminal so that the trains from southern districts could halt there. The station's proximity to the Central Warehousing Corporation's godown located at Chitlapakkam makes it technically important. Four railway lines exist between Chennai Beach and Tambaram, two for up and down long distance trains and two for up and down suburban services. Fraser Town, Albert Bakery Albert Bakery is a popular Bakery on Mosque Streets, attracting large crowds, open between 3 pm and 9 pm, famous for its snacks, pastries and non-vegetarian food, and during Ramzan, Albert Bakery is famous for its "bheja" or goat brain puffs. Albert Bakery was founded in 1902, by a Muslim, who felt that giving his bakery an English name would appeal to the cosmopolitan and European clientele in Fraser Town and named it after Prince Albert. Albert Bakery initially operated from a godown and was located in Sangam Lane, off Kamraj Road, and moved to the present Mosque Rd. premises in 1912.

It was in 1805 Lord William Bentinck, then Governor of Madras presidency ordered the centralization of all Secretariat records which were scattered in the various Departments of the Secretariat and appointed a Record Keeper and supporting staff to index, look after and to issue records promptly on requisition from various departments for reference. Muthiah, the principal native servant in the Political and Military Department, was appointed Record Keeper. In 1823 the records were moved into several rooms on the first floor of the Secretariat. Later on, the office was shifted to the "Pillar-godown", and in 1888 it moved to the ground floor of the Secretariat building.

In 1917, a numbered signal system was implemented for warning wind conditions in the territory. Different signals were illustrated by different symbols and these were hoisted to indicate the prevailing wind conditions. Initially, the local day signals were displayed at the mast head of the storm signal mast on Blackhead Hill, the Harbour Office, , Green Island signal mast, the flagstaff of the premises of Kowloon Wharf and Godown Company in Kowloon, the flagstaff on the premises of the Standard Oil Company in Lai Chi Kok and the flagstaff near the Field Officer's Quarters at Lyemun. Night signals were displayed at the tower of the Railway Station, on HMS Tamar and on the Harbour Office flagstaff.

History of Sri Ramakrishna Silpa Vidyapith During the second five-year plan period, the infrastructural growth required huge number of trained and skilled manpower to take the country forward. Visionaries like Thakur Satyananda Dev, Sri Satyanarayan Chattopadhyay, Sri Satyanarayan Bandyopadhyay, Sri Kamada kinkar Mukherjee MLC, Dr.Kaligati Bandyopadhyay felt the necessity to set up a technical institution in Birbhum and founded a technical school, so that Birbhum can contribute to its due share in national development. The journey of a technical school started humbly in a Municipal Godown in Duttapukur near Municipal Girls' School in Suri Birbhum. The technical institution was formally inaugurated on 17 November 1952 by the then Governor of West Bengal H.E. Harendra Coomar Mookerjee.

The Hongkong Land, a development company established in 1889 by William Keswick's brother James Johnstone Keswick, faced consistent threat from Li Ka-shing's Cheung Kong Holdings and nearly went bust in the early 1980s.

The Hongkong Land faced a constant threat from Li Ka-shing's Cheung Kong Holdings and nearly went under in the early 1980s.

New World Development started its expansion in the 1970s by the acquisition of properties and companies. The flagship property, New World Centre was built on the former site of Holt's Wharf, a former godown terminal that was owned by British companies Swire Group and Blue Funnel Line. In the first financial year after the initial public offering in November 1972, NWD had acquired 23 sites by paying HK$110 million cash and about 101 million number of new shares with a par value of HK$1 each. Despite the issue of new shares and the acquisitions of the holding companies of the properties such as Kowloon Town Development Company Limited (not to be confused with Kowloon Development Company), were completed in 1973–74 financial year.

He joined the Jardine Matheson & Co, the leading British trading firm in 1954 at the age of 20. He became its director in 1967 and worked in various places including from Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, the United Kingdom, Malaysia and Australia throughout the years. In 1970, he was promoted the managing director in 1970 and was the chairman and senior managing director of the firm from 1975 until his retirement in 1983. One of the first of its kind in Kenya, the show ran for a hugely successful theatre season, and a concert version of the same show continues to be performed at major cultural events. A contemporary adaptation of this musical, Lwanda-A Ghetto Story had a very successful run at the GoDown Arts Centre, Nairobi, in December 2006.

Born in Sussex, England to Ezekiel Shellim and Rebecca Sassoon, daughter of David Sassoon, he joined his grandfather's firm David Sassoon & Co., one of the oldest trading houses in Hong Kong, and was the manager of the Hong Kong branch of the firm. He was also chairman of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in 1908 and 1912 and served as director of the bank for many years, director of the Hong Kong Tramways, the Hong Kong Land Investment & Agency Co., the Hong Kong Land Reclamation Co., the Central Estates, the Hong Kong & Kowloon Wharf & Godown Co. and member of the consulting committee of the China Sugar Refining Co., the Hong Kong Fire Insurance Co. and the Canton Insurance Office. He was member of the Shanghai Municipal Council in 1898 and member of the Shanghai Chamber of Commerce. During his residence in Hong Kong, he was made Justice of Peace and appointed an unofficial member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong from 1913 to 1918.

At one time, Singapore River was the very lifeblood of the colony, the trade artery, the center of commercial activity, the heart of entrepot trade, the vessel of importance, the capillaries of life and the place which was frequented by the secret societies, the swaylos (Cantonese for coolies who worked on a boat) and the coolies who worked for the philanthropist Tan Tock Seng at Ellenborough Market and the towkay (Hokkien for business owner) Tan Kim Seng who was busy filling his godown with the riches of the East. Singapore River is where the colourful and surprising history of the river and the myths and legends can still conjure up memories of the lighters, bumboats, tongkangs with their painted eyes to see the danger ahead and sampans of yesteryear. This is where the Malayan princes once sailed and this is where the bullock carts plodded their way up and down each bank as the river found its way to the former rocky river mouth. This is also where an early civilisation was conquered by the Javanese Majapahit Empire, in the year 1376.

Its audience holding capacity is for seating 300 to 400 spectators (depending on configuration) or 600 standing spectators.. It has faculties to change the scenes for the shows within reasonable time frame for which it has 40 adjustable screens of 780 m² size with adjustable height facility of NiVOFLEX PRO make. The theatre has not only facility for the shows and to seat a large audience but also has built in space for utilities comprising a library with reference books and documents related to Performing Arts, Architecture, Painting and Film and supported by an Internet facility, restrooms, lodgings which can accommodate 14 artists with all modern communication facilities, a modern light and sound control room, a store room, and office space for artists and administrators.
