The sister of Billy Boone, the character is first mentioned in the novel Friday the 13th: Mother's Day, with her brother stating that she is too sick to go on a trip to Camp Crystal Lake with him and his friends. After her brother is murdered by Jason Voorhees (actually a hunter named Joe Travers possessed by Jason) on the aforementioned trip taken by him to Camp Crystal Lake, Kelly becomes obsessed with the place and the history of it, an obsession which begins to ruin her life. Kelly eventually decides to travel to Camp Crystal Lake with her roommates and boyfriend, intent on hunting Jason and avenging her brother's death.

While driving, Nikolas, who had just purchased an wedding rings, learns of the hostage situation and has a car accident, leading everyone to believe he is dead. However, an amnesiac Nikolas was being cared for by Mary Bishop, whose husband Connor Bishop, Nikolas' Doppelgänger, was presumed dead in the Iraq War. Emily convinces Lucky to go on a trip to Mexico that Nikolas had planned for them, and is stunned when she spots Nikolas, who is there with Mary to renew the vows she had made with Connor. Deciding not to force Nikolas' memory to return, Emily confronts Mary back in Port Charles, but decides to keep the truth from Nikolas, remembering the trauma her brother Jason endured because of his memory loss.

Roger invites Don to go on a trip with him to a Howard Johnson's in Plattsburgh, New York, hoping to get out of a dinner party with his wife Jane's "snooty friends" and is subsequently disappointed when Don decides to take Megan on the trip instead. Roger and Jane go to the party, which is hosted by Jane's therapist and her husband. After dinner, Roger asks Jane if they can leave, but Jane reminds Roger that he agreed to take LSD with the group and begs him to stay, as she doesn't want to go through the experience alone. Roger is initially unimpressed with the drug but comes around after his consciousness begins to change with vivid audio-visual hallucinations.

In 2009, Holly played a minor role in the second series of Hollyoaks Later, and featured in the storyline of her mother Cindy (Stephanie Waring) and Tony Hutchinson's (Nick Pickard) wedding, despite Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) and Jacqui McQueen (Claire Cooper) teaming up to split the engaged couple up before the wedding. Waters then departed in 2010. In November 2012, the character was reintroduced, now played by Wallis Day. Day as fifteen-year- old Holly appeared in the sixth series of Hollyoaks Later, in a dark storyline that featured Holly go on a trip to an isolated country mansion with Esther Bloom (Jazmine Franks) to celebrate Esther's eighteenth birthday, along with Holly's boyfriend Callum Kane (Laurie Duncan), Esther's girlfriend Tilly Evans (Lucy Dixon) and Tilly's strange and mysterious new housemate Jade Hedy (Lucy Gape).

When he sees her the next day, he meets with Bertlef and Škréta and tells them of his plan, admitting that he wants to have an abortion because he loves his wife, the actress, so much. When he meets with Růžena, he tells her that he loves her and wants to go on a trip with her, but asks that she have an abortion because the love they have together shouldn't be hindered by a child just yet. They believe that this privilege is for Hailsham students only and so wrongly expect that the others will know how to apply for it. They then find the possible, but the resemblance to Ruth is only superficial, causing Ruth to wonder angrily whether they were all cloned from "human trash".

Clara and Marcos about to go on a trip have to return as Clara turns out to be 4 weeks pregnant and Marco is surprised as he always used a condom when they had sex. Marcos knocks at Cesar’s place looking for him and asks that he checks Clara’s apartment as he states there is a bug problem again. Cesar deceived to check the place out realizes that Marco has caught onto him sneaking into her place and has found what Cesar has been drugging her with. Cesar and Marco begin to fight and Cesar grabs a piece of glass and stabs Marcos’s neck killing him. Ursula knowing that Cesar was involved in Marcos’s death, Cesar sneaks into her apartment and threatens Ursula to never rat him out to guarantee that Cesar does not go to jail.

They also involve Joba's cousin, Sanatan (who is a terrorist), in their plan to portray Param as an anti-national in front of the society and in one such bombing, Param supposedly dies, turning Joba mentally unstable. He returns in the disguise of Mr. Srivastav (who comes across the family as Joba's doctor/therapist, taking the help of his brother-in-law, Swapnomoy) to prove his innocence, Sanatan's guilt in the bombings done and to get Joba treated of her ailment. After succeeding in treating Joba's mental state back to normal, Param and Joba, overcome with desire and passion for each other, finally consummate their marriage! The Senguptas go on a trip to Darjeeling, where Tandra, along with Sanjay, plans an accident of Joba, but accidentally their plan results in Tanna losing his speech, and now Tandra, instead, frames Joba for the same.

Having made friends in Marvel and learning that the universe is attempting to make her into a joke villain, Gwen wants to make sure her evil self never comes to be. To catch the attention of the Avengers she decides to go on a trip to Latveria in an ill- advised attempted face off with Doctor Doom, still thinking him to be evil, having never read Infamous Iron Man. It is revealed that she and Cecil, now in his mystical monster body, share an apartment and since she has given up killing people is hacking to pay the bills. She then faces off with a snake- man in the sewers, somehow making him vanish much to the surprise of the police, especially Officer Gray who still does not understand why she seems unable to arrest Gwen and her fellow cops even let her go.
