Located in Tornado Alley, many tornadoes have struck the county, including an F4 tornado on April 10, 1979, which obliterated the town of Braddyville, Iowa across the county line. Tornadoes have damaged two of the county's largest buildings, the Administration Building on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University and Conception Abbey.

As a child, Shaan began his career singing jingles for advertisements. After giving it up for a brief period, he returned and, along with jingles, began to sing remixes and cover versions. Barberis was born in Chiswick in London, in 1953. She grew up in rural Victoria and began studying classical ballet at the age of three, giving it up after an injury at the age of nineteen. Barberis became the partner of the Australian artist Robert Hunter between 1973 and 1977, travelling with him to New York, for his exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, and then to Europe. Returning to Australia from this journey, aged 22, she completed her BFA at the Preston Institute with friends, peers and lecturers including Peter Booth, Dale Hickey, Dominico De Clario.

MacIntosh was born in Ireland, the daughter of the Reverend John S. MacIntosh. She demonstrated a passion for art from a young age. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 1890 and took up a career in teaching, for a time, before giving it up to pursue studies in art with Heinrich Knirr in Germany and with Henry B. Snell in the U.S. During World War I, MacIntosh was field secretary for the Pennsylvania branch of the Woman's Land Army of America. In that role, she traveled around the state engaging women in agriculture to boost wartime food production.

Growing up Albert idolized martial arts legends Jackie Chan and Jet Li, claiming he wanted to be a "karate master" just like them. He began taking Tae Kwon Do classes, and received his third level belt before giving it up due to not being able to afford it. The story begins when two Lyman siblings, Orban and Adara, accidentally revert a shapeshifted bird on an English moor back into a small Dorig. The Dorig is holding an exquisitely moulded collar, which in Lyman and Dorig culture are used to store protective magic. When Orban tries to take the collar, the Dorig says he is the son of the Dorig king, and will curse the collar before giving it up. Orban kills the Dorig and takes the collar anyway, and as the Dorig dies he binds a curse to the collar by the three Powers – the Old Power, the Middle Power and the New Power.

Born in the West Midlands, Olusanya grew up in Kettering, Northamptonshire, and began a career as a make-up artist before giving it up for DJing in the early 1990s. She was half of the DJ and recording duo, Kemistry & Storm, which she formed with an old friend when they both lived in London. They both started out playing on pirate radio stations Touchdown and Defection FM. With Goldie, they formed the Metalheadz record label. After two-and-a-half years at the label, they moved on to concentrate on DJing and also released a widely distributed mix album, DJ-Kicks: Kemistry & Storm, which has been described as "paving the way for other, younger, female DJs".

On 13 July 1990, he was forced to resign as Secretary of State for Trade and Industry after an interview was published by The Spectator. He had described the proposed Economic and Monetary Union as "a German racket designed to take over the whole of Europe" and said that giving up sovereignty to the European Union was as bad as giving it up to Adolf Hitler. While his disciple is gone, the bodhisattva reflects that while his disciple very well may not find food, his body is just so much flesh as the tradition states, and by giving it up, he can save the tigress' purity and her cubs' lives. He leaps off the cliff to his death, attracting the tigress' attention with his impact, and she eats his body. In this way, he comes closer to perfecting some of the ten Buddhist perfections, those of generosity, renunciation, morality, resolution and equanimity.

The track was written by Grimshaw, Dan Dare, Paul Harris & MEMEB, the latter was also producer of the track, Virtually Married was met with positive reviews from fans and many of them believe that this is Grimshaws 'come back' track. Several weeks later, Grimshaw posted another image to his Twitter with the caption "#GivingItUp", prompting speculation that it would be his next single. On 1 September, he uploaded the new song entitled Giving It Up, which he again collaborated with producer MEMEB on.

Invisibility cloak According to the legend, the Cloak of Invisibility has the power to shield the wearer from being seen by Death. It was the Hallow belonging to the youngest brother, who did not trust Death and took the cloak to hide from him, only giving it up when he was old and ready for death. It is owned by Harry throughout the series, although only later does he discover its significance and origin. Unlike other invisibility cloaks known to exist, this is uniquely a true invisibility cloak, in that it is able to completely shield the wearer and others from sight and cannot be worn out by time or spells; other cloaks will lose their ability to conceal the wearer over time or become worn out, but the Hallow cloak will never fade or become damaged.

Nisbet was born in Edinburgh, the third of ten children of Adam Nisbet WS and his wife Janet, only daughter of Alexander Aikenhead WS. Adam, and later Alexander, were chiefs of the ancient Nisbet family, of Nisbet in Berwickshire; however, the family had recently lost much of their wealth due to their zealous support of King Charles in the civil war, and had been forced to sell their ancestral estate. In his Essay on Additional Figures and Marks of Cadency, Nisbet remarks that he "had a very early inclination to the study of herauldry, and when a boy ... looked on its figures with wonder, and often wish'd to know their names and signification." Nisbet matriculated at Edinburgh University in 1675, where he studied philosophy. After graduating in 1682, he was employed as a solicitor for a number of years before giving it up in order to devote his full-time to his historical and heraldic studies.

Puck's main basis for relationships at the beginning is sexual rather than romantic. He has sexual encounters with his female pool- cleaning clients and fellow students, including a recurrent relationship with cheerleader Santana Lopez (Naya Rivera) that seems to be casual, though Santana confronts both Mercedes Jones (Amber Riley) and Lauren Zizes (Ashley Fink) when Puck starts pursuing them in the first and second seasons respectively. He falls in love with Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron) after he takes her virginity and impregnates her despite the fact that she's dating his best friend Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith) at the time, but he can't give up flirting with and seducing others even when Quinn contemplates raising the baby-to-be with him as he wants rather than giving it up for adoption, since she refuses to have sex with him again. The brief pairing of Puck with Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) in the episode "Mash-Up", spurred by his mother urging him to find a Jewish girlfriend, dissolves because he wants Quinn and she wants Finn.

Without a permanent location to support FAR would be able to respond to the needs of each particular project, be it film, book, lecture, performance, or exhibition. Their first projects included the production of John Baldessari's film, Six Colorful Inside Jobs, the book and performance Open America by James Lee Byars, taking place in Los Angeles and New York simultaneously. In 1979, the three founders moved on to other pursuits and the direction of FAR was transferred to the artist Dorit Cypis who invited Christina Ritchie to join as partner. In 1979 Cypis and Ritchie maintained the exhibition space that was handed to them giving it up a year later to innovate an exploration of partnership with venues across the city, to question what an artist practice has to do with civic space and the public. Between 1979-1982, they initiated collaborative partnerships amongst numerous private, public and educational institutions throughout Los Angeles, producing and presenting contemporary art as site-specific installation, publication, video, film, performance, dialogue, radio, and the lecture series Art Talk Art addressing theoretical and critical issues of contemporary art and culture.
