On July 4, 1969, Han Bong Soo was giving a demonstration of hapkido at a park in Pacific Palisades, California. In the audience was Tom Laughlin. After a spectacular demonstration, Laughlin approached Han about being involved in a movie project called Billy Jack. Han gained critical acclaim for staging and performing some of the most realistic martial arts fight sequences in a film.

His early years were difficult and he worked in a factory during the day while he taught at a struggling hapkido school in the evening located in an economically depressed area. Later, he relocated his school to the Pacific Palisades area in an effort to be closer to Hollywood and the movie industry. The Japanese told Perry to sail to Nagasaki but he refused. Perry sought to present a letter from U.S. President Millard Fillmore to the emperor which demanded concessions from Japan. Japanese authorities responded by stating that they could not present the letter directly to the emperor, but scheduled a meeting on 14 July with a representative of the emperor. On 14 July, the squadron sailed towards the shore, giving a demonstration of their cannon's firepower thirteen times.

The movement was led in England by the soldier, writer, antiquarian and swordsman, Alfred Hutton. Hutton learned fencing at the school founded by Domenico Angelo. In 1862, he organized in his regiment stationed in India the Cameron Fencing Club, for which he prepared his first work, a 12-page booklet entitled Swordsmanship.

Hamilton was granted a short-service commission in the RAF on 24 October 1919, but relinquished both his temporary and short service commissions at his own request on 28 November, and was transferred to unemployed list. However, he soon returned to RAF service, being granted another short service commission on 14 July 1920 with the rank of flying officer. On 2 July 1921 he married Barbara Webber of Maidenhead, Berkshire. In 1922 he was serving in No. 24 Squadron, based at Kenley, and in June he took part in the 3rd RAF Aerial Pageant at Hendon Aerodrome, coming second in a race between Avro 504s, and with the rest his squadron giving a demonstration of formation flying in Bristol Fighters.

Husband and wife Nathan, and Marla Collins are head researchers in the "Blue Demon" project, a project that involves planting computer chips into the brains of six sharks to be used for protecting the country. As a result of budget cuts, however, the electric fence used to keep the sharks near the marine lab is rendered without electricity, resulting in the sharks chewing a hole through it, escaping the enclosure, and attacking a group of college girls swimming in a nearby lake, eating one of them. Nathan, and Marla are also having a divorce, with the divorce papers ready to be filed. Six weeks later, General Remora is sent to oversee the operations, with Nathan, Marla, and the project's financer Lawrence Van Allen giving a demonstration of the sharks' abilities.

A Philosopher Lecturing on the Orrery, or the full title, A Philosopher giving that Lecture on the Orrery in which a lamp is put in place of the Sun, is a 1766 painting by Joseph Wright of Derby depicting a lecturer giving a demonstration of an orrery to a small audience. It is now in the Derby Museum and Art Gallery The painting preceded his similar An Experiment on a Bird in the Air Pump (National Gallery, London). The first of Wright's candlelit masterpieces, Three Persons Viewing the Gladiator by Candlelight, was painted in 1765, and showed three men studying a small copy of the "Borghese Gladiator". The Gladiator was greatly admired; but his next painting, The Orrery, caused a greater stir, as it replaced the Classical subject at the centre of the scene with one of a scientific nature.
