The stalking horse is an exercise in assessing accurately the degree of risk, so that a full-blooded challenge is only mounted by the main party when there is a real likelihood of success. The loser in the exercise appears to be the stalking horse. If the idea is viable or popular, the stalking horse person will be sidelined and the anonymous figure will take over the concept themselves. If the concept proves unpopular, the stalking horse will suffer any negative reaction.
Despite being discovered by settlers extremely late, perhaps as late as the 1850s, the islands were densely populated by indigenous peoples. A Wowol village on Atwell's Island was named Chawlowin, occupied later than 1852 by refugee Yokuts natives. Yoimut, noted by Frank F. Latta as the last full-blooded Chunut, described semi-traditional life at Chawlowin: > My mother found almost all of her relations there at Chawlowin. Her brother > had his family there and two or three of her uncles were there, too.
Yellow Horse was born in United States Indian Territory to Clara and Thomas Yellow Horse in the early part of 1898 (one source lists his given name as "Mose", though all other sources give it as "Moses"). The first full-blooded European child recorded as being born in the country, Thomas King, was born in 1815 at Oihi Bay in the Bay of Islands. (There have been unsubstantiated claims that a European girl was born earlier at the Dusky Sound settlement in the South Island). The bay has many interesting historic towns including Paihia, Russell, Waitangi and Kerikeri. Russell, formerly known as Kororāreka, was the first permanent European settlement in New Zealand, and dates from the early 19th century.
Libby Purves of The Times wrote that "even this grumpy Olymposceptic was brought to actual tears, moved to empathy and understanding by the fabulous theatricality of it." She called Edward Hall's staging "thrilling" and the play "irresistible", adding that "above all, it's the sincerity: a full- blooded willingness to take the hearty morality, amateur spirit and patriotism at its own valuation without modish irony." Praising the main cast, Purves singled out Jack Lowden as "outstanding", and Nicholas Woodeson as "superb".Purves, Libby.

Ken Eisner from The Georgia Straight summarized the film as "a dazzling feat of philosophical fancy, and it attempts nothing less than the summing up of an entire life, and an epoch or two, with its free-spinning take on recent human history as projected into possible futures.
Controversy still remains on this subject, due to the inaccuracy of many birth records during that time period. Modern historians have become less worried about whether the player is a "full-blooded" Native American, but rather if the player identified and aligned himself socially and culturally with his native people. Sockalexis fits this view of history, unlike Toy, who did not. Jim died at the age of 61 in Cresson, Pennsylvania, and is interred at Beaver Cemetery in Beaver, Pennsylvania.
Being a half-vampire grants great potential strength, speed, and the ability to recover from incredible injury if they drink blood. Drawing on these powers creates massive amounts of bloodlust which is increasingly difficult to control. Due to the events in Changes, the Fellowship is essentially defunct. The half-vampires have been cured (those not slain by Red Court treachery), although the older half-vampires succumbed to the blood curse along with the full-blooded Red Court vampires, and the Red Court itself has been destroyed.

The last full-blooded Selk'nam, Ángela Loij, died in 1974. They were one of the last aboriginal groups in South America to be reached by Europeans. According to the 2010 United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Atlas of the World's Languages in Danger, the Ona language, believed to be part of the Chonan family, is considered extinct, as the last speakers died in the 1980s. About 4,000 Selk'nam were alive in the mid-nineteenth century; by 1930 this had been reduced to about 100.
One example is a documented WPA interview from a former slave, Dennis Grant, whose mother was full-blooded Native American. She was kidnapped as a child near Beaumont, Texas, in the 1850s, and made a slave, later becoming the forced wife of another enslaved person. The abductions showed that even in the 1800s little distinction was still made between African Americans and Native Americans. Both Native American and African-American enslaved people were at risk of sexual abuse by slaveholders and other white men of power.
In 1904, Hudson became an assistant coach of the Carlisle football team. Carlisle is trying the experiment for the first time this season." In 1905, he was responsible for coaching the backs and training the kickers.

It is estimated that among Filipinos, 10%–20% have some Chinese ancestry and 1.5% are "full-blooded" Chinese. According to the American anthropologist Dr. H. Otley Beyer, the ancestry of Filipinos is 2% Arab. This dates back to when Arab traders intermarried with the local Malay Filipina female populations during the pre- Spanish history of the Philippines. A recent genetic study by Stanford University indicates that at least 3.6% of the population are European or of part European descent from both Spanish and United States colonization.
However, tragedy would strike the show in 1967, when a stroke resulted in Copper becoming paralyzed and would be euthanised that same year. Another dog, (full-blooded golden retriever with reddish hair) Copper Penny, would become the new "Copper." But by 1969, Wertz decided to no longer do "Ricki & Copper" due to her decision to become a full-time mother after her daughter was born (prematurely). Wertz however continued to host another WTAE program, Junior High Quiz, until it ended its run in 1982.
Windschuttle argues that introduced disease was the primary cause of the destruction of the full- blooded Tasmanian Aboriginal people, not merely by directly causing deaths but also through widespread infertility resulting from introduced venereal disease.Windschuttle, The Fabrication of Aboriginal History, pp. 372–375, 383–386. James Boyce, a Tasmanian historian, dismisses Windschuttle's argument as "uninformed slander" based on a failure to read the only documentary sources that matter, the journals of French and British explorers recording the first contacts with Tasmanian Aboriginal people before the colonial period.
Once the island of Java, the centre of the colony, was ‘pacified’ after the defeat of Prince Diponogoro in 1830, the Dutch implemented a policy called the ‘Cultuurstelsel’ (English: Cultivation system). Along with its implementation Baron Jean Chrétien Baud, Governor-General (1833–1836) and Minister of Colonies (1840–1848), added discriminatory regulations aimed at withholding Indos from key governmental functions. He was of the opinion that full blooded i.e. white, Dutch officials were better suited to persuade native nobility to comply with the ‘Cultivation System’.
As just one example, adjectives such as "counterfeit", "alleged", or "false" do not have the usual simple meaning of restricting the meaning of the noun they modify: a "tall lawyer" is a kind of lawyer, but an "alleged lawyer" may not be. In 2018, Claudio Costa has developed a full-blooded version of the correspondence theory of truth. This version of the theory incorporates coherence and extends the idea of correspondence to formal sciences.Claudio Costa, Philosophical Semantics: Reintegrating Theoretical Philosophy, CSP, 2018, ch. 6.

Described in the novel as "a punk, sore at the world", Rizzi was born in Nevada and moved to New York City following some trouble he ran into with the law. He befriends Sonny Corleone and in 1941, he meets Sonny's sister Connie at a surprise birthday party for their father Vito Corleone. The two marry in 1945. Vito disapproves of Connie's marriage to a small-time criminal who is not a full-blooded Sicilian (Rizzi's father was Sicilian but his mother was from northern Italy).
However, he was not immediately accepted by other chiefs as the leader of the confederation. He is remembered in Burmese history as a "full-blooded savage" who killed learned monks, looted treasures from Buddhist pagodas and burned books. He was hated by his Burman and Shan subjects alike. Yet it was his inaction and inability to mobilize the various Shan states to the threat posed by Toungoo, former vassal state of Ava, that proved most crucial, allowing the upstart kingdom to gain strength and buy time.

The Métis were the descendants of European (mostly French-Canadian) fur traders and their native wives. By the early 1800s, the Métis had formed large communities and were in the process of creating their own unique identity. The particular Métis band around Red River was referred to as Bois- Brûlés or "burnt wood," which was a French translation of the Ojibwe word meaning "half-burnt woodsmen;" a name the Métis earned because their skin was generally lighter than that of the full-blooded Natives.
Abduction and ill-treatment of Aboriginal Tasmanians certainly occurred, but the extent is debated. The raids for and trade in Aboriginal women contributed to the rapid depletion of the numbers of Aboriginal women in the northern areas of Tasmania – "by 1830 only three women survived in northeast Tasmania among 72 men" – and thus contributed in a significant manner to the demise of the full-blooded Aboriginal population of Tasmania. However, many modern day Aboriginal Tasmanians trace their descent from the 19th century sealer communities of Bass Strait.

Maria Jeritza (and, later, Florence Easton) triumphed in it at the Metropolitan Opera, in an all-out spectacular production in 1926.

They contain a studied display of fioritura, rubato, limpid phrasing and portamento which appears to be a deliberate re-statement of the so-called bel canto style practised by previous generations of Italian tenors; or perhaps more accurately, a re-statement of that style's surviving mannerisms. These mannerisms were already dying out in the early 1900s when audiences came to prefer their tenor idols to sing in a more full-blooded, robust and straight forward way.Scott 1977, 125-126. George Bernard Shaw wrote tellingly of De Lucia in June 1892.

The 27-year-old Rupert Max Stuart, an Arrernte man, and teenager Alan Moir had been in Ceduna on 20 December, running the darts stall for the funfair operated by Mr and Mrs Norman Gieseman. Recent research suggests that the historical Ainu culture originated in a merger of the Okhotsk culture with the Satsumon, one of the ancient archaeological cultures that are considered to have derived from the Jōmon- period cultures of the Japanese archipelago. The Ainu economy was based on farming, as well as on hunting, fishing and gathering. "Full-blooded" Ainu, compared to people of Yamato descent, often have lighter skin and more body hair.Travis, John "Jomon Genes:Using DNA, researchers probe the genetic origins of modern Japanese", Science News February 15, 1997, Vol. 151, No. 7, p.
He then formed a tag team with Chris Chetti to feud with The Full Blooded Italians (Little Guido and Tracy Smothers), whom Lynn and Chetti defeated in matches at Hostile City Showdown and Living Dangerously. Lynn was next booked in a series of matches against his fellow debutant Justin Credible, which saw Credible winning the last match in the feud at the Heat Wave pay-per-view. After this, Lynn was involved in a feud with Lance Storm and Mikey Whipwreck, a feud that was shortened when Whipwreck left for WCW.
In response to Māori antagonism towards the governments of the time due to their general lack of franchise, in 1867 the Māori Representation Act was passed, which established four additional Māori electorates throughout the country. Each of these would each elect a single member to Parliament, who was mandated to be full blooded Māori. However, all Māori males over the age of 21 were allowed to vote in these electorates regardless of their bloodline. Initially, these seats were created on an interim basis with a provision for their removal after five years had passed.

However, his attempt to remove the different standards required of part and full-blooded Aborigines failed, as did his proposal to ensure that at least half of the members of the Aboriginal Affairs Board be Indigenous Australians.Summers, p. 496. Labor won the seats of Glenelg and Barossa at the 1965 election, after winning the seats of Chaffey and Unley at the 1962 election.

The Civil War may be over back East, but prejudice still rules the West. A full-blooded Shoshone Indian named Lance Poole distinguished himself in the war, winning the Medal of Honor, only to return home to Medicine Bow, Wyoming, to something a far cry from a hero's welcome. Townspeople resent the fact that Lance and his father own a large and valuable piece of land. A doctor refuses to treat Lance's father, who dies, while Lance himself is unable to even buy a drink in the local saloon.
By the time of the Great Reform Act in 1832, Suffolk had a population of approximately 300,000, It was assumed to have around 5,000 qualified voters, but since no full-blooded contest had taken place in living memory this could only be an estimate. The single county constituency was abolished, being split into two divisions, East Suffolk and West Suffolk.
These sects were a form of political organization in revolt against the hierarchical system of the Muslim conquerors which institutionalised obstacles to their social mobility. With their allies in other cities they started civil wars against the Sunni Arab troops.

Dashiell Bradford, is a full-blooded Oglala Lakota who left the Prairie Rose Indian Reservation at the age of thirteen before returning with a vengeance in 2007. With Masseria gone, Maranzano reorganized the Italian American gangs in New York City into Five Families headed by Luciano, Profaci, Gagliano, Vincent Mangano and himself. Each family would have a boss, underboss, capos, soldiers, and associates, would be composed of only full-blooded Italian Americans, while associates could come from any background. However, Maranzano called a meeting of crime bosses in Wappingers Falls, New York, and declared himself capo dei capi ("boss of all bosses"). Maranzano also whittled down the rival families' rackets in favor of his own.
Its investigators were called prohibition agents, or more colloquially 'Prohis' . Its most famous agent was Eliot Ness. Some of the other famous lawmen who, at some point, carried a Prohi's badge include former Texas Ranger Frank Hamer, full-blooded Cherokee Tom Threepersons, James L. "Lone Wolf" Asher, Chicagoan Pat Roche, and Richard James "Two-Gun" Hart, the eldest brother of Al Capone, who had lost communication with his family at age 16, after fleeing New York City, following a gang brawl."‘Two-Gun’ Hart: The Prohibition Cowboy", by R.K. Lee Child thought the novel was MacLean's best and said it was influential on Child's own writing, saying "Looking back on it, it was a rather hysterical Cold War novel, but it had some of the best-drawn characters I had read in the genre... Even today I can sense MacLean's influence. I learnt a valuable lesson in how to write a hero who is totally full-blooded without going over the top."Lee Child; THE BOOKS THAT CHANGED ME BOOKS: [Late Edition] Interview by Robyn Doreian. Sun Herald 15 May 2005: 73.

The record has been described as "one of the wildest rock'n'roll discs of all time with Kid Thomas blowing his harmonica and shouting out the lyrics in a frantic frenzy." However, it was not a commercial success. He continued to perform with a band in Los Angeles clubs, often as Tommy Louis and the Rythm (sic) Rockers or Tommy Louis and the Versatiles. In 1965, he recorded two singles for the Muriel Records label, "The Hurt Is On" and "Wail Baby Wail", another full-blooded rocker featuring guitar by Marshall Hooks, but neither were hits.

As part of her cambion heritage, she has an aversion to wearing underwear, which becomes a running theme with her, much to her father's exasperation. This also add the irony to the fact that though not a full-blooded succubus, she acts like it far more than her half-sister. Being older, she is the first of Queen Mercelída's daughters to grow her wings. :In the anime adaptation, Asuha is aware of her cambion heritage and, after a chance encounter with her mother, the Queen, her half-sister relationship to Astarotte.
At the event Swinger, Simon Diamond and Kid Kash were defeated by Little Guido, Tony Luke and Tracy Smothers of The Full Blooded Italians in a six-man tag team match. In 2011, Johnny Swinger continued success for Peachstate Wrestling Alliance in Georgia, feuding with Bill the Butcher, Ultimate Dragon, and others. Swinger continues to be one of the most popular babyfaces in the organization, despite spending the majority of his career as a heel. He is also currently training pro wrestlers and hopefuls with Rick Steiner at Hard Knocks Gym in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Carver and Scheier note that it was Morgan who was "fascinated by the psychology of Carl Jung" and it was as a result of her urging that he meet Carl Jung in Switzerland. He described Jung as "The first full blooded, spherical—and Goethean, I would say, intelligence I had ever met." He was analyzed by him and studied his works. "The experience of bringing a problem to a psychologist and receiving an answer that seemed to work had a great impact on Murray, leading him to seriously consider psychology as a career".

Margaret Wallace, reviewing the novel for the New York Times, called it "a more than usually mature story" for its genre, "full-blooded and thoughtful" and "as exciting and filled with adventure as anything ever conceived by Sir Walter Scott." She noted that the author did not share the "illusions concerning the romantic glamour of the Middle Ages" common to such stories, and so, unlike most, it was not suitable for children.Wallace, Margaret. "12th Century England: Kay the Left-Handed." in The New York Times, 24 November 1935, page BR7.
Pollard's most significant contribution as a batsman in Tests was a "full-blooded pull" from the off spin of Ian Johnson, which caught the Australian opening batsman Sid Barnes, who was fielding at short leg on the edge of the pitch, under the ribs. Barnes was carried off on a stretcher, batted low in the Australian order and then had to retire hurt. He spent 10 days in hospital after the match and missed the next Test. The Australians were made uncomfortable by the accuracy of Alec Bedser and Pollard.
RF Video and later faced Super Nova in a single match later that month. _ECW Fancam (8/19/97) Rostraver, PA._ Perf. Barry Hardy. 1997. VHS. RF Video In a 2009 Interview with Metallic Onslaught, Hardy claimed to have wrestled in ECW for 6–8 months as part of The Full Blooded Italians with Tommy Rich as his manager. This statement appears to be a fabrication of the truth, as there is no record of Hardy as a part of the F.B.I. or having a 6–8 months stint in ECW.
In 1327, Muhammad ibn Faraj claimed the throne in Andarax, but he was defeated by Muhammad IV () in the ensuing civil war. Muhammad VI was a second cousin to his immediate predecessors, Muhammad V (1354-1359 and 1362-1391) and Ismail II (1359–1360). He was further linked to the royal lineage by his marriage to a daughter of Yusuf I () during Yusuf's reign. He was talked of in Austria and Germany in the first years of the 20th century as one of the next great talents after Strauss and Mahler, but despite several successes before the First World War his music was forgotten when his full-blooded post-Wagnerian style went out of fashion. In 1922 the German critic Adolf Weissmann wrote: > The symphonic poetry of Siegmund von Hausegger is full of Wagner. His work > originates in a resolute will to truth and honesty, but outworn theory > cripples his imagination.Adolf Weissmann, The Problems of Modern Music > (London: JM Dent, 1925), p. 77.
During the early 1890s, when he was living near Muskogee, Oklahoma, Reed learned that a gold shipment was leaving Dallas, Texas on November 13, 1894. He recruited Buz Luckey, William "Will" Smith and Tom Root, and selected Blackstone Switch at Wybark as the site for the robbery. The plan was for Reed to throw the switch as the train approached then, as it entered onto a sidetrack, the gang would use dynamite to enter the express car. Root, a full-blooded Cherokee known for his size and strength, would enter the express car, break open the strong boxes, and bring out the gold.
Early prohibitions on interracial marriages date back to the rule of the Dutch East India Company when High Commissioner Van Rheede prohibited marriages between European settlers and heelslag or full-blooded slave women (that is, of pure Asian or African origin) in 1685. The ban was never enforced. In 1927, the Pact coalition government passed a law prohibiting marriages between whites and blacks (though not between whites and "coloured" people). An attempt was made to extend this ban in 1936 to marriages between whites and coloureds when a bill was introduced in parliament, but a commission of inquiry recommended against it.
Settlers destroyed the Chetco villages in 1853 and the surviving members of the tribe were forcibly removed to the Siletz Reservation in Tillamook County, Oregon (in 1879 the land the reservation is on became part of Lincoln County). In 1854 there were 241 members of the tribe on the reservation: 83 women, 117 men, and 41 children. By 1861 there were 262 on the reservation: 96 women, 62 men, and 104 children; by 1871 the total on the reservation had dropped to 63. Lucy Dick, who died in 1940 was "the last known full-blooded Chetco"; as of 2009.

The area around Cordova was historically home to the Eyak, with a population of Chugach to the west, and occasional visits from Ahtna and Tlingit people for trade or battle. The last full-blooded Eyak Marie Smith Jones died in 2008, but the native traditions and lifestyle still has an influence on the local culture. Cordova was also once the home of a booming razor clam industry, and between 1916 and the late 1950s it was known as the "Razor Clam Capital of the World". Commercial harvest in the area was as much as 3.5 million pounds.
He fell in love with her and was so smitten he ignored all the customary stereotypes that in those days stood in the way of a marriage between a full-blooded Malay man and a Eurasian woman. They eventually married, and Cecilia took the name Zubaidah. She was not Abu Bakar's first wife, however, and when her husband became sultan in 1885 with the blessings of the British, it was his third wife Fatima who received the title of sultana. Cecilia was named "Inche Besar Zubaidah", a title bestowed upon wives of the sultan who were not sultana.
Prior to the arrival of Europeans, the area around San Juan Bautista was populated by the Mutsunes, a branch of the Ohlone Indians. The Mutsunes lived in villages composed of thatched huts made of willow and grass, and as they lived the simple hunter-gatherer lifestyle common to California Indians, left little mark on the land. The last full-blooded Mutsun, Ascención Solórzano, died in 1930. In 1797, the Spanish Franciscan priest fray Fermín de Lasuén founded Mission San Juan Bautista to facilitate the conversion of the native people to Catholicism; in the process, he claimed the land for the Spanish Empire.
Palmeira Square was then built in a "more full-blooded" interpretation of this Victorian/Italianate theme. Palmeira Mansions, completed nearly 30 years after work started on the square, were designed in the same style and contribute to the square as a single composition, "continuing its ... grandeur and scale". Palmeira Square's style, marking the transition from Regency into Victorian Italianate, has been likened to the terraces around London's Hyde Park that were built at the same time. Architectural historians Ian Nairn and Nikolaus Pevsner, writing in the 1960s, stated that this gave the square "architectural interest" but "little architectural merit", though.
Harrelson, a "full blooded Cherokee Indian,""Angels Lose Two Games To Athletics". Lodi News-Sentinel, August 1, 1968, p. 6. was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. In late 1901, two well-known architects were appointed as assessors for an open competition for architects wishing to be considered for the design of the cathedral. G. F. Bodley was a leading exponent of the Gothic revival style, and a former pupil and relative by marriage of Sir Gilbert Scott.Hall, Michael. "Bodley, George Frederick (1827–1907)", Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, Oxford University Press, 2004, accessed 2 October 2011 R. Vergil then returns to his childhood home in Red Grave City where he proceeds to use Yamato to purge his humanity from his being. This results in him being split into two beings: the full-blooded demon Urizen, who grows a Qliphoth Tree so he can eat its fruit and become king of the Underworld, and V, a frail man who enlists Dante and Nero into helping him stop Urizen. After Dante defeats Urizen, V absorbs him and reconstitutes Vergil. Once whole, Vergil engages Dante in a duel to the death, but Nero, now revealed to be his son, intervenes.

Hutchinson broke through as a defender. His manager at Forest, Sean O'Driscoll, remarked that Hutchinson "can play right-back or right centre-half", adding "he's a bit John Terry-esque". However, during his time at Sheffield Wednesday, he evolved into "an old- fashioned midfielder who marauds into tackles"; Hutchinson believes that since the recovery from his knee injury, he has become "even more full-blooded". After his trio of Player of the Month accolades in 2016–17, the Guardian referred to him as "probably Wednesday's best player [...] and one of the best midfielders in the Championship".
Unlike Welles's film, Stuart Burge's Othello (1965), based on John Dexter's National Theatre Company's production, starring Laurence Olivier, brings issues of race to the fore, with Olivier putting on an 'African accent' and entering in a large 'ethnic' necklace and a dressing gown. He commented, however, that he did "not dare to play the Moor as a full-blooded negro". One contemporary critic found the coloration too much, commenting that Olivier was "blacker than black, almost blue" . Trevor Nunn's 1989 version filmed at Stratford, cast black opera singer Willard White in the leading role, opposite Ian McKellen's Iago.
Due to her mother being raped by a vampire and getting pregnant, Catherine "Cat" Crawfield has spent her entire life being different from other humans. Her half-vampire nature allows her to pursue the full blooded vampires and lead them to their death, an activity that her mother fully endorses. Cat goes out almost every night in the hopes of finding and slaying her father, only to be captured by the vampiric bounty hunter Bones. After some initial reluctance on Cat's part, the two of them form a partnership to find and capture her father and eventually fall in love with one another.
Jones and fellow Newport team mate Harry Uzzell decided to visit a local theatre in the night before the match. There they were met by some of the Irish players, where they were approached by Ireland's William Tyrell, later to become Air Vice Marshal Sir William Tyrell, Surgeon to George VI, who challenged Jones to a physical contest on the pitch the next day. What appeared to start as good natured banter turned into a full-blooded contest during the match. Jones took several early knocks, not just from Tyrell but from other members of the Irish pack.

Whatever the details of the fighting, the final result was that 50 French knights were killed and 150 French captured including Geoffrey de Charny and a number of ‘populari’ which seems to indicate that at least some of the infantry were involved in the melee. The English force now made apprehensive by the remaining French forces withdrew into the wood at their back where they were safe from a full blooded cavalry charge. What was left of de Blois’ force then evidently relieved Morlaix and the besieging English, now trapped in the wood, themselves became the object of a siege for several days.
The Chronicle, however, gives no name. Reporting on the same event in the early part of the 12th century, William of Malmesbury identified her as a daughter of Edward the Elder and Ecgwynn, and therefore a full-blooded sister to Æthelstan, but says that he was unable to discover her name in any of the sources available to him.William of Malmesbury, Gesta regum, Book II, ch. 126. A variant version of the Bury tradition, which locates her burial place at Tamworth rather than Polesworth, identifies this Edith as a daughter of Ælfflæd, Edward's second wife, and hence Æthelstan's half-sister.
Not long after his release, he started working in Extreme Championship Wrestling. He took on the name "Tony Mamaluke", with the last name being a reference to the former tag team he managed in WCW, as well as a play on Philadelphia's famous Tony Luke's restaurant. He joined The Full Blooded Italians, which consisted of Little Guido and Big Sal E. Graziano. The reasoning for his alignment with this group was a combination of his previous gimmick in WCW being similar, as well as his resemblance to the character Christopher Moltisanti of the Italian-American mobster television series The Sopranos.
Despite misgivings about police protocol, Joe agrees to the plan and reveals that he has an entire room in his house full of information on Bobby Briggs (this explains why Kevin and Susie both share a room). Their first stop is Atlantic City, where a stripper named Tanya (who is known to have been Briggs' only relationship) works. Before the trio departs, Quagmire leaves with Lois his newest cat Principessa (a full- blooded Persian cat), along with very exact instructions about caring for it. In Atlantic City, the trio find Briggs' girl at a strip club.
Bronstein is widely considered to be one of the greatest players not to have won the World Championship.Bronstein & Fürstenberg, p. 4 He came close to that goal when he tied the 1951 World Championship match 12–12 with Mikhail Botvinnik, the reigning champion. Each player won five games, and the remaining 14 games were drawn. In a match where the lead swung back and forth several times, the two players tested each other in a wide variety of opening formations, and every game (except the 24th) was full-blooded and played hard to a clear finish.

Team Angle retained when Benjamin pinned Chavo. In April 2003, following WrestleMania XIX, Benoit then feuded with John Cena (wearing a shirt saying "Toothless Aggression") and The Full Blooded Italians, teaming with Rhyno occasionally. In June 2003, the WCW United States Championship was reactivated and renamed the WWE United States Championship, and Benoit participated in the tournament for the title.

On January 25, 2004, he won the Royal Rumble by last eliminating Big Show, and thus earned a world title shot at WrestleMania XX. He became only the second WWE performer to win the Royal Rumble as the number one entrant along with Shawn Michaels. With Benoit being on the SmackDown! brand at the time, it was assumed that he was going to compete for his brand's championship, the WWE Championship.

Building on the work of the Church Missionary Society missionary Thomas Kendall, beginning in 1820, linguist Samuel Lee worked with Māori chief Hongi Hika to transcribe the Māori language into written form. In 1835 the country's first successful printing was two books from the Bible produced by Church Missionary Society printer William Colenso, translated into Māori by the Rev. William Williams. The first European settlement was at Rangihoua Pā where the first full-blooded European infant in the territory, Thomas Holloway King, was born on 21 February 1815 at the Oihi Mission Station near Hohi Bay in the Bay of Islands.

After one year, she returned home to Oklahoma and enrolled in Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College in Stillwater, Oklahoma, but found the school too large and unfamiliar. She left fairly quickly and instead enrolled at Northeastern Teacher's College in Tahlequah, where she completed her education with a teaching degree.
Dunne later claimed that the final film: > Is only a pallid ghost of what John and I originally wrote. Ours was a full- > blooded screenplay, combining adventure and excitement with what we > considered some respectable poetry in the love story between the patrician > English girl and the young Mohican brave. Above all we painted an authentic > picture of colonial American in the eighteenth century.Philip Dunne, Take > Two: A Life in Movies and Politics, Limelight, 1992 p 35 Dunne said that production of the film was postponed due to casting problems; he and Balderstone went away and by the time they came back shooting had started.
The 'Black Yass tribe' gradually merged with the European settlers, and by 1890 there were no full-blooded people. The mixed race people primarily lived in or close to the town of Yass. Between 1920 and 1930 some of those people left to live in Canberra so that they could work in the rapidly developing city, which had been first settled by Europeans a hundred years earlier, when it was populated by the Nyamudy/Namadgi tribe who spoke a Ngarigo dialect. Once there some lived in communities calling themselves Ngunnawal, a 'new tribe', although they only spoke English and were mainly descended from European settlers.
Aspinall ran unsuccessfully for Parliament at the 1997 general election as the candidate of James Goldsmith's single-issue (against Britain's involvement in the European Union) Referendum Party in the Folkestone and Hythe constituency, where he was defeated by senior Conservative Michael Howard. Privately, Aspinall would become, or pretend to become anti-Semitic, expressing hatred towards Jews, and his admiration of Hitler. However, he was widely known to enjoy being provocative and believed an outrageous remark could provoke full- blooded responses and spirited debate, something he very much enjoyed. Claims of antisemitism are directly at odds with Aspinall's lifelong friendships with James Goldsmith and Eddie Gilbert.
Rory "Scott" Daniels (born September 19, 1969) is a Mistawasis First Nation aboriginal, and a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Daniels was nicknamed "Chief" by his teammates due to his full-blooded Cree Indian background. At the age of 17, Daniels started his hockey career in the Western Hockey League (WHL) playing left wing for the Kamloop Blazers in 1986, and continued to play in the WHL for the New Westminster Bruins and then the Regina Pats until 1990. Daniels was the 136th draft pick overall, for the Hartford Whalers, in 1989, but did not play his first National Hockey League (NHL) game until 1993.
Chiquito, or Rupac Inca Huaco, is a full-blooded Peruvian Quechua and one of the last descendants of the Incas. He is first seen as the sidekick to General Alcazar in The Seven Crystal Balls and is ultimately seen as a leading member of the Incas in Prisoners of the Sun. He assists General Alcazar in his knife-throwing act, but this serves as a cover since Chiquito, unknown to the General, is out to punish the Sanders-Hardiman expedition members who violated the tomb of his ancestors. He does so by breaking into the homes or offices of the explorers and breaking crystal balls in their presence.
The War Bonnet (1914) After replying in 1909 to a Bison Motion Pictures newspaper ad, which called for "exotic-looking girls" to play "Indian maidens", she soon became famous as "Princess Mona Darkfeather", noted for leaping onto her pinto pony, "Comanche", and galloping away bareback. Darkfeather was a noted moving picture artist who regularly starred in roles of Indian and Western dramas. Although she was mostly of European and Chilean descent, Darkfeather's early publicity claimed she was a full-blooded Blackfoot Indian. She said she was an Indian Princess and had been made a blood member of the Blackfoot Nation and given the title of princess by a "Chief Big Thunder".
Shelagh Jones, an athlete from England, wrote of the nature of competition " As the various sports on the program got under way, more and more we realised a full-blooded fight was on. The swimming, fencing and field events arrived at the top of the sportscard in next-to-no- time and in these games we found success and failure, humour and disappointment, laughter and tears. Yet within this tiny cross section of life I shall never forget the honour and privilege of mounting the rostrum to collect a 'gold' for England." These Games raised the profile of paraplegic (spinal cord and polio) athletes in Australia, particularly Western Australia.
Whipwreck and Tajiri became tag team partners soon after Tajiri was kicked out of The Network. On August 24, 2000, Whipwreck and Tajiri won a one-night tournament to be crowned new ECW World Tag Team Champions (Justin Credible "dropped" the belts so he could face Tommy Dreamer for the ECW Title) when they defeated Tommy Dreamer and Jerry Lynn and Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger in a 3-way match in the finals. They lost the title to The Full Blooded Italians (Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke) the following night. At both Anarchy Rulz and November to Remember 2000, the Unholy Alliance failed to recapture the title from the FBI.
Trunks' most prominent physical features come from his maternal side, as he inherits Bulma's blue eyes and lavender-colored hair which is mostly shown in the undercut style. As he is not full-blooded Saiyan, his hair grows and is worn in an over-the-shoulders style for a period. He inherits his skin tone and facial features from his father, with Bulma, Krillin, and Goku pointing out Trunks' resemblance to Vegeta on several occasions. Trunks can transform into a Super Saiyan which causes his hair to spike on end and takes on a golden color and his eyes a certain turquoise or green color.
A 1921 census counted 87 individuals, and the number of Japanese residents in New Guinea witnessed a decline until here were only 36 in 1940. Approximately one third were businessmen living in Rabaul, while the remainder were plantation managers and fishermen who lived mainly in Manus, New Ireland and Bougainville. In particular, a census done in 1933 counted 29 second-generation Japanese residents - these comprised mixed-race Japanese Papuans as well as a few full- blooded Japanese, and nine long-term Japanese residents in Papua. First- generation Japanese residents were mostly adherents of Shinto and Buddhism, although they generally avoided celebrating religious or cultural festivals in public.
In 1943 Adam wrote "Jesus, the Christ, and We Germans" ("Jesus, der Christus, und wir Deutsche"), which expressed anti- Semitic sentiments while defending Christianity from neopagan critiques. The essay argued that although Jesus was Jewish, he was not purely so, because he came from Galilee, a region where interracial marriage was common, and because the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary meant he lacked the "ugly dispositions and forces which we condemn in full blooded Jews." The essay also reiterated the strong connection Adam perceived between the spirit of Christianity and that of Nazism. It was Adam's final effort to connect Catholicism and Nazism.
In early 2012, Shane Douglas announced the foundation of the Extreme Rising promotion, with its inaugural event, Extreme Reunion, to be held on April 28, 2012. At the event, Hawx made his debut for the promotion as a heel by venting his frustrations about Douglas and the reunion show itself before he was escorted from the building by security. He later returned to distract Stevie Richards in the event's opening match, which ultimately cost The Blue World Order their tag team match against The Full Blooded Italians. On June 29, Hawk was able to defeat Richards in an "Extreme Respect" match following assistance from Sylvester Terkay.
Nimrod Workman was born in Inez, Martin County, Kentucky and was named after his grandfather, "a full-blooded Cherokee Indian who fought in the Civil War and who taught his namesake the old ballads from Britain about lords and ladies and the ancient Scottish wars". At the age of 14, he went to work in the Howard Collieries coal mines in Mingo County, West Virginia, and he continued working as a coal miner for forty-two years until he was forced to retire due to black lung and a slipped disc. His wife, Mollie Bowens, was of Italian descent on her mother's side. The couple had thirteen children.
On November 15, 2008, Little Guido and Tracy Smothers formed a version of the F.B.I. in Jersey All Pro Wrestling and defeated The Latin American Xchange in their first match to win the Tag Team Championship. Their success did not last long, as the F.B.I. lost the titles to D-N-A (Dixie and Azrieal) on December 13. The Full Blooded Italians were announced for the first-ever match of the new Extreme Reunion organization in 2009; which is conceived as a continuation of the original Extreme Championship Wrestling. Their opponents were announced as The Blue World Order (Stevie Richards and the Blue Meanie).
Salemme became acquainted with Patriarca family mobster Anthony Morelli in 1957 while in prison. He started working with Morelli in criminal activities after getting out of prison, and he quickly gained stature in the Patriarca family as an associate—although he could not become a made man or full member. Patriarca boss Raymond Patriarca respected Salemme for his obedience to the family and his skill as a money maker, but he only allowed full-blooded Italians to become made men, and Salemme was part Irish from his mother Anne Salemme (née Haverty). During the early 1960s, Salemme participated in the Irish gang wars in Boston.
Hatcher stated that instead, Éowyn is following Tolkien's "highest ideal: a fierce commitment to peace", embodying the "full-blooded subjectivity" that Tolkien believed necessary for peace. She described Éowyn as "a complete individual who fulfills Tolkien's theme of peace, preservation, and cultural memory." Hatcher cited the philosopher Gregory Bassham's list of the six essential ingredients of happiness in Middle-earth, namely "delight in simple things, making light of one's troubles, getting personal, cultivating good character, cherishing and creating beauty, and rediscovering wonder", and stated that these are all seen in Éowyn and the Hobbit Sam, the gardener who inherits Frodo's Bag End and restores the Shire, "but in very few others".
In England's first innings of the third Test, he was hit in the ribs by a full-blooded pull shot from Dick Pollard from the bowling of Ian Johnson, and had to be carried from the pitch by four policemen. The following day, he collapsed while practising in the nets, and when he went in to bat at number six, he collapsed again and had to retire hurt. After this, he was taken to hospital where he spent 10 days before rejoining the tour for the Derbyshire match that followed the fourth Test. Barnes thus played in four of the five Tests, missing the fourth Test through injury.
Some claim she had been born in Georgia, but she stated in her autobiography that she had been born in Philadelphia. The identity of her parents is also unknown. She wrote that her mother was a “full-blooded Negress from Louisiana” and her father was Hawaiian, but in another version of her memoirs dictated to her god-daughter Charlotte Downs, she wrote that she was born a slave to a Voodoo priestess and John Hampden Pleasants, youngest son of Governor of Virginia James Pleasants. In any case, she arrived in Nantucket, Massachusetts as a 10- to 13-year-old bonded servant to work for a Quaker storekeeper, "Grandma" Hussey.
The mother-daughter relationship becomes more poignant when Gemma accuses Logan of being a past lover of her mother. Although Logan denies the charge, there is no denying that the mother in Floodtide (1981) solicits sex from her son-in-law, which he declines albeit politely giving her the benefit of the doubt as needing for herself a full-blooded affair. Somewhere in her books Kay Thorpe throws in that British men think nothing much of their middle-aged wives, who still yearn for the love and romance of their not so far away youth. In The Iron Man (1974), Dave says that all wives are kept women.
Mikey Whipwreck continued his feud with Little Guido after losing to him at Hardcore Heaven. On the May 19 episode of ECW on TNN, Whipwreck rescued Kid Kash from an assault by The Full Blooded Italians and then defeated Guido in a match. The teams of Da Baldies, Nova and Chris Chetti and Danny Doring and Roadkill competed in a three-way dance rematch on the May 19 episode of ECW on TNN, which Doring and Roadkill won and then Da Baldies attacked Doring and Roadkill after the match until New Jack made the save. The feud carried onto Heat Wave, where Nova and Chetti defeated Da Baldies.
In 2005, Maritato returned to his Little Guido persona for one night; he reunited with the original Full Blooded Italians to take on Super Crazy and Tajiri in a three-way dance at the ECW reunion show One Night Stand. As Nunzio, he continued to perform on SmackDown! B-show Velocity as both a fan favorite and a villain, forming a short-lived tag team with Funaki. On the August 6 (taped on August 2) edition of Velocity, Nunzio won the Cruiserweight Championship by defeating Paul London after a new villainous wrestler, Vito, made his debut by giving Nunzio a blackjack, which he used to knock London out.
In 1945, he accused the "Jewish super-rich like Petschek, Weinmann, Rothschild, Gutman" of "blood-sucking" and argued that wealthy Jews could not live in the people's democracy. He also objected to the resettlement of Jews from Carpathian Ruthenia in postwar Czechoslovakia. For Rudolf Slánský's fiftieth birthday in July 1951, Kopecký lauded him in the party newspaper Rudé právo and claimed that "already at home and at primary school [Slánský] absorbed a full-blooded native Czechness". Despite their former association, Kopecký became a personal enemy of Slánský and was involved in the Slánský trial as one of the main stage managers of the show trial.
While many of the members of the team were not full-blooded Indians-- Thorpe himself was three-eights Irish--every identifiable team member has proved to have at least some Indian blood. The Oorang Indians consisted of members who were Cherokee, Mohawk, Chippewa, Blackfeet, Winnebago, Mission, Caddo, Sac and Fox, Seneca, and Penobscot. The team roster included such colorful names as Long Time Sleep, Woodchuck Welmas, Joe Little Twig, Big Bear, War Eagle, and Thorpe. The team also had four former Carlisle Indians football captains in Thorpe, Joe Guyon, Pete Calac, and Elmer Busch and the Indians' trainer was John Morrison, reportedly the first Carlisle captain.
The novel's principal conflict is Mr. Polly's struggle with life, told "in the full-blooded Dickens tradition".. This moral struggle is slow to develop, for Mr. Polly is a stunted, rather than a gifted or self-confident character. He is not without imagination and a flair for language, but his mind is "at once too vivid in its impressions and too easily fatigued". His mother dies when he was seven, and his formal education ends at the age of fourteen, by which "Mr. Polly had lost much of his natural confidence, so far as figures and sciences and languages and the possibilities of learning things were concerned".
The following week, TNA president Dixie Carter agreed to give the ECW alumni their own reunion pay–per–view event, Hardcore Justice: The Last Stand, as a celebration of hardcore wrestling and a final farewell to the company. At the event Kenney returned to his Simon Diamond persona and teamed with Johnny Swinger and Kid Kash in a six-man tag team match, where they were defeated by Little Guido, Tony Luke and Tracy Smothers of The Full Blooded Italians. At May 8, 2012, Kenny substituted Taz as Color Commentator at TNA Xplosion, joining Jeremy Borash. On June 19, 2017, Kenney left Impact Wrestling alongside Shane Helms and Al Snow.
Other well-known locally produced shows included the children's programs Captain Noah and His Magical Ark; a cartoon show hosted by Sally Starr; and Chief Halftown (whose host, Traynor Ora Halftown, was a full-blooded member of the Seneca Nation), and two variety programs: The Al Alberts Showcase, a talent show emceed by the lead singer of The Four Aces; and The Larry Ferrari Show, on which the host played organ versions of both popular and religious music. WFIL-TV also produced an early, yet long-running, program on adult literacy, Operation Alphabet. One of its earliest local series was Let's Pop the Question, from 1947 to 1948.
"Bodley, George Frederick (1827–1907)", Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, Oxford University Press, 2004, accessed 2 October 2011 R. Norman Shaw was an eclectic architect, having begun in the Gothic style, and later favouring what his biographer Andrew Saint calls "full-blooded classical or imperial architecture".Saint, Andrew. "Shaw, Richard Norman (1831–1912)", Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, Oxford University Press, 2004; accessed 2 October 2011 Architects were invited by public advertisement to submit portfolios of their work for consideration by Bodley and Shaw. From these, the two assessors selected a first shortlist of architects to be invited to prepare drawings for the new building.
These comments received a negative response from other political leaders, who portrayed focussing on blood quantum as divisive and as harking back to racist laws, and who suggested the appropriateness for Maori themselves to determine how to define themselves. Brash questioned whether Māori remained a distinct indigenous group because few "full-blooded" individuals survive. This drew criticism from a range of his adversaries, including Maori Party co-leader Tariana Turia, who cancelled a dinner with him in protest. In a statement to explain his position on 30 September 2006, Brash said that the Government had no responsibility to address the over-representation of Māori in negative social statistics.
December to Dismember in 2006 On the November 21, 2006 episode of ECW on Sci Fi, Hardy and Jeff competed in a match together for the first time in almost five years, defeating The Full Blooded Italians. At December to Dismember, the Hardy Boyz issued an open challenge to any tag team who wanted to face them. MNM answered their challenge by reuniting at December to Dismember, a match won by the Hardy Boyz. At Armageddon, Hardy and Jeff competed against Paul London and Brian Kendrick, MNM, and Dave Taylor and William Regal in a Ladder match for the WWE Tag Team Championship but lost.
The task of the Rassenhygienische und Bevolkerungsbiologische Forschungsstelle (), a division of the Kriminalpolizei (Criminal Police), was to identify and categorize all Roma and Sinti people in Germany according to racial standards. Ritter, heading this organization, had a team of other racial scientists including Eva Justin, Adolf Wurth, Sophie Ehrhardt, and Ruth Kellermann. Ritter (right) taking blood from a woman, 1936 By 1937, the Research Unit was working with the Central Office of Reich Security, and the Reich Ministry of Interior, to travel across Germany in units to register "full-blooded" and "mixed-race" Roma or Sinti. The units referenced church records to track individuals' genealogies.
In 1685, Louis married Louise Françoise de Bourbon, known at court as Mademoiselle de Nantes, who was the eldest legitimised daughter of King Louis XIV of France and his mistress, Madame de Montespan. In an age where dynastic considerations played a major role, eyebrows at court were raised at a marriage between a full-blooded prince du sang and a royal bastard. The head of the House of Condé, le Grand Condé, however, acquiesced to the socially inferior match in the hope of gaining favour with the bride's father, Louis XIV. The seventeen-year-old duc de Bourbon was known at court as Monsieur le Duc.
The event kicked off with a tag team match between The Full Blooded Italians (Little Guido and Tracey Smothers) and the team of Jerry Lynn and Chris Chetti. Tommy Rich tried to hit Lynn with the Italian flag but Lynn ducked and Rich accidentally hit Smothers with it, allowing Lynn to roll-up Smothers for the win. Next, Masato Tanaka and Yukihiro Kanemura from Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling were scheduled to compete in a match which would mark the ECW debut of Tanaka and Kanemura until Lance Wright interrupted the match and announced that Doug Furnas would be replacing Kanemura. Tanaka hit a Roaring Elbow to Furnas for the win.
Dragon Ball Daizenshū, book 4, Dragon Ball World Guide With the ending of the Cell arc, Gohan was meant to replace his father as the protagonist. However, Toriyama later decided against it, finding the character unsuited for the role in comparison to his father. As opposed to full-blooded Saiyans, whose hair stays the same from birth,Dragon Ball Z manga, volume 16, chapter 181 Gohan's is drawn at varying lengths, and changes markedly in style. Initially, Gohan is illustrated garbed in a surcoat with kanji 孫 (grandchild), fixed on the front and the four-star Dragon Ball fitted on top of his hat.
After the title loss, Crazy faced Guido and Kid Kash in a three-way dance at CyberSlam, which Guido won. Super Crazy went on a hiatus for the next few months until pre-taped vignettes began airing on television in October, which hyped his return at the November to Remember pay- per-view. He was initially booked to face CW Anderson at the event but he was replaced by Kid Kash. Later in the night, he participated in a match for the World Tag Team Championship between The Unholy Alliance (Yoshihiro Tajiri and Mikey Whipwreck) and Full Blooded Italians (Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke).
Her credits include films like The Isle of Sunken Gold, The Big Show, and Lost in a Big City. She was something of a method actor; she recounted trying to harden her feet by walking barefoot for six weeks in preparation for a role in 1927's Hawk of the Hills. Russell was married at least five times; her husbands included director William P.S. Earle (her final husband), producer J. Stuart Blackton, Roy Wayne, actor Carey Harrison, and rancher Raymond Claymore; she divorced him when she found out he was "a full-blooded Indian". She had two children with Harrison, neither of whom were interested in the family business.
In 1826 many Aboriginal people at Lake George protested an incident involving a shepherd and an Aboriginal woman, though the protesters moved away peacefully. Historical records of Australia record the last full-blooded Ngunnawal person, Nellie Hamilton, dying in 1897. However, it has been regarded by some part Indigenous Australians as a biased attempt to claim that they were wiped out when there are many part Ngunnawal people still around today. Due to the lack of historical records, there has been little success in gaining native title in the Yass area, and no success in the ACT when the Ngunnawal, combined with Aboriginal people from other tribal connections, tried to recreate an Aboriginal presence.
They spend the next 15 months trying to find both Aidan and Sally, and Josh has advanced his medical degree and works at Suffolk County Hospital in a residency. They go to the witch Ms. Gilchrist who asks of them to bring her the heart of someone they have killed to bring Sally back, so they retrieve Ray's heart for the incantation, and then Sally's body from her grave. Josh is later survives an attack by Liam a full blooded werewolf, and later gains the ability to transform without the full moon and retain some control over himself demonstrated when he doesn't attack Nora. Josh and Nora then become married and later have twins.
Rego's family were keen Anglophiles, and Rego was sent to the only English-language school in Lisbon's district at the time, Saint Julian's School in Carcavelos, which she attended from 1945 to 1951. Although nominally a Catholic and living in a devoutly Catholic country, St Julian's School was Anglican and this combined with the hostility of Rego's father to the Catholic Church served to create a distance between her and full-blooded Catholic belief. Rego has described herself as having become a "sort of Catholic", but as a child she possessed a sense of Catholic guilt and a very strong belief that the Devil was real.John McEwen, Paula Rego (Oxford: Phaidon Press, 1992) p.
To be eligible to enroll in the Poarch Band tribe, people must be descended from one or more American Indians listed on one of three rolls: the 1870 U.S. Census of Escambia County, Alabama; 1900 U.S. Census of Escambia County, Alabama; or 1900 U.S. Special Indian Census of Monroe County, Alabama. Besides being of direct Muscogee Creek heritage, they must have a minimum blood quantum of 1/4 American Indian blood (equivalent to one full-blooded Creek grandparent) and not be enrolled in any other tribe. Each federally recognized tribe has the right to make its own rules of citizenship."Constitution of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians" , Native American Rights Fund.
Santo Nino, the 4th of the capillas posas The many side and back minor altars of Santa Monica Church characterize it as one of the best examples of Baroque architecture in the Philippines. The four capillas posas are concrete arched structures used as “oratory stations” for the Blessed Sacrament during Christ the King, Corpus Christi and other events.Minalin Church up as cultural treasure The capilla posa distinguishes Santa Monica Church as the only church in the Philippine that has these features fully preserved today. During the Hispanization of Minalin, these altars were used by Filipinos (termed by the Spaniards as Indios) as the church interior was reserved for “peninsulares” (full-blooded Filipino- Spaniards).
Beginning in Italy, and spreading to the north, west and middle Europe during a cultural lag of some two and a half centuries, its influence affected literature, philosophy, art, politics, science, history, religion, and other aspects of intellectual inquiry. The Italian Petrarch (Francesco di Petracco), deemed the first full-blooded Humanist, wrote in the 1330s: "I am alive now, yet I would rather have been born in another time." He was enthusiastic about Greek and Roman antiquity. In the 15th and 16th centuries the continuing enthusiasm for the ancients was reinforced by the feeling that the inherited culture was dissolving and here was a storehouse of ideas and attitudes with which to rebuild.
Unlike some earlier operations which had used small forces for harassment and diversion of the Japanese, Operation Crimson was "a full-blooded operation" designed to "make a mess of the air base and harbour installations and wreck any vessels found sheltering there."Malcolm H. Murfett, Naval Warfare 1919–45: An Operational History of the Volatile War at Sea, page 357, 2008. Sailing from Trincomalee, under the command of Admiral James Somerville,Stanley Sandler, World War II in the Pacific: An Encyclopedia, page 729, 2001. were two aircraft carriers ( and Illustrious) with four battleships , , , and the French battleship Richelieu, as well as six cruisers (, , , , , Tromp), with ten destroyers (, Quickmatch, , , , , , , , ) supported by two submarines (Templar, Tantalus).
Born around 1844, he was the only surviving son of Tongan King George Tupou I and Sālote Lupepauʻu, Tupou's sole legitimate wife. His only full-blooded brother Tu'ukitau had died at the age of four in 1842. He was named Siaosi or George after his father, who in turn had taken the name in honor of King George III of the United Kingdom while his mother was named Sālote or Charlotte after Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. Prince Vuna's half-siblings include Tēvita ʻUnga and Sālote Mafileʻo Pilolevu, who were repudiated by their father as illegitimate offspring along with their mothers, who were his secondary consorts, after his marriage in 1834 to Prince Vuna's mother under Christian rites.
Former Animal Reptile Kingdom attraction next to the Blue Whale Originally calling it Nature's Acres, Mr. Davis continued to add to the roadside attraction until it eventually included The Fun and Swim Blue Whale and the A.R.K. (Animal Reptile Kingdom). The attraction also featured Hugh's brother-in-law, Indian Chief Wolf-Robe Hunt, a full blooded Acoma Indian, who was famous in his own right for his Indian paintings and as a highly skilled silversmith. Chief Wolf-Robe Hunt once ran the Arrowood Trading post across the highway from the Blue Whale attraction. By 1988, the Davises were not able to continue managing the attraction, so they closed it to the public.
Critical response praised the film's artistry and Leto's performance. Boyd van Hoeij from Variety felt that "his acting talent really comes into full view in his scenes as the last dying man on Earth. Despite too much old-age makeup, Leto nevertheless infuses the character with some real raw emotional power;" while Bruce Kirkland of Toronto Sun claimed that Leto gave "a marvelously full-blooded, brain-spinning, tour-de-force performance." In 2009, Leto recruited scores of extras and all manner of surrealist street performers for the short film of "Kings and Queens", which features a critical mass movement founded with forward-thinking and eco-conscious intentions, through Los Angeles at night.
The attorney's body was found later with his skull crushed beside the railroad tracks near Pershing, Oklahoma, about five miles south of Pawhuska. Thirteen other deaths of full-blooded Osage men and women, who had guardians appointed by the courts, were reported between 1921 and 1923. By 1925, at least 60 wealthy Osage had been killed, and their land had been inherited or deeded to their guardians: local white lawyers and businessmen.MARGO JEFFERSON, "BOOKS OF THE TIMES; Digging Up a Tale of Terror Among the Osages", New York Times, 31 August 1994, accessed 2 December 2011 The FBI found a low-level market in murderers for hire to kill the Osage for their wealth.
Unlike in the United States where ancestry may be used exclusively to define race, by the 1970s, Latin American scholars came to agree that race in Latin America could not be understood as the "genetic composition of individuals" but instead must be "based upon a combination of cultural, social, and somatic considerations". In Latin America, a person's ancestry may not be decisive in racial classification. For example, full-blooded siblings can often be classified as belonging to different races (Harris 1964). For these reasons the distinction between "white" and "mixed", and between "mixed" and "black" and "indigenous", is largely subjective and situational, meaning that any attempt to classify by discrete racial categories is fraught with problems.
However, Furtwängler had managed not to participate in the party congress. He had also succeeded in conserving the Vienna Philharmonic, and the musical collections of Vienna and the Vienna Opera, where he persuaded Hitler and Goebbels to agree to the appointment of Karl Böhm as artistic director. At the Vienna Philharmonic, as at the Berlin Philharmonic, Furtwängler succeeded in protecting 'half-Jews' or members with 'non-aryan' wives until the end of the war (these were exceptional cases in Germany during the Nazi period). However, in contrast to his experience with the Berlin Philharmonic, he could not save the lives of 'full-blooded' Jews: they were persecuted, with a number dying in concentration camps.
Stephen Kakfwi was born on November 7, 1950 in a traditional Dene bush camp at Fort Good Hope, Northwest Territories to full-blooded Slavey parents. His parents were non-status Slavey due to his grandfather waiving his treaty rights in order to own property and run a fur-trading business. At an early age, Kakfwi was sent away to residential schools in Inuvik, Yellowknife and Fort Smith. During the 1970s, Kakfwi attended the University of Alberta to complete a teacher's degree, but early in that decade he returned to his Fort Good Hope community during a time in which many Aboriginal Canadians were beginning to organize politically to demand recognition of their land and self-government rights.
Mixobarbaroi (, , "semi-/mixed/half barbarians") was an ethnographical term first used in Classical Greece by authors to denote people who lived in the frontiers of the oikoumene, and had qualities of both the civilized peoples and the barbarians, as seen in the works of Euripides, Plato and Xenophon. It would later come to describe mixed Greeks or other people mixed with "barbarians" in the Greek lands of cultural plurality. In Byzantine times this term was used by authors chiefly in the 11th–12th centuries to denote the linguistically and ethnically mixed populations of the Danube region. In the Plato dialogue Menexenus, a group of "barbarians" considered themselves Greeks, but were not full-blooded Greeks, thus only "mixobarbaroi".
Although racial segregation was adopted legally by southern states of the former Confederacy in the late 19th century, legislators resisted defining race by law as part of preventing interracial marriages. In 1895 in South Carolina during discussion, George D. Tillman said, > It is a scientific fact that there is not one full-blooded Caucasian on the > floor of this convention. Every member has in him a certain mixture of... > colored blood...It would be a cruel injustice and the source of endless > litigation, of scandal, horror, feud, and bloodshed to undertake to annul or > forbid marriage for a remote, perhaps obsolete trace of Negro blood. The > doors would be open to scandal, malice, and greed.
Mahoney and Rotten often teamed with the likes of New Jack and Spike Dudley to feud with Dudley Boyz and The Full Blooded Italians. Mahoney and Rotten were frequent contenders for the World Tag Team Championship but came up short in their bid for the titles. They received several title shots against Chris Candido and Lance Storm for the tag team titles including one at Wrestlepalooza on May 3, 1998, but came up short in their title opportunities. Rotten was out of action due to injury in September and returned to ECW on December 4 by attacking Buh Buh Ray Dudley with a barbed wire baseball bat after a match between Dudley Boyz and The Gangstanators.
Mel Hart is a full-blooded were-panther who becomes good friends with Jason Stackhouse, following Jason's falling out with his other friend, Hoyt. Mel seems overly devoted to Jason, always seen hanging out with him, drinking, eating, and even going on double dates with Jason and Crystal (his wife). Mel, a full-blood panther, was once a member of the Hotshot Community, but left it to live in town. He let it be known it was his choice to leave, but it turns out that he was exiled from the community because he was gay and did not want to produce a child with a woman, as the community demanded of him.
Similarly, the Chief Protector of Aborigines in Western Australia, A. O. Neville, wrote in an article for The West Australian in 1930: "Eliminate in future the full-blood and the white and one common blend will remain. Eliminate the full-blood and permit the white admixture and eventually, the race will become white". Official policy then concentrated on removing all blacks from the population, to the extent that the full-blooded Aboriginal people were hunted to extinguish them from society, and those of mixed race would be assimilated with the white race so that in a few generations they too would become white. By 1900 the recorded Indigenous Australian population had declined to approximately 93,000.
Graduating in 1927, Walking Bear became the first registered nurse of Crow descent and one of the first Native American nurses graduated in the United States, though Elizabeth Sadoques Mason a full-blooded Abenaki and her sister Maude, obtained registration in New York State before Yellowtail. Elizabeth obtained her RN certificate in 1919, while Maude became a nurse probably in 1914. and Nancy Cornelius (later Skenandore) of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin graduated from the Hartford Training School for Nurses in 1890. Lula Owl Gloyne of the Eastern Band Cherokee Indian tribe graduated from Chestnut Hill Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia in 1916 and passed the registration exam in Pennsylvania the same year.
We would know nothing of his playing were it not for the enterprise of a small US record company, Concord Records, who re-issued Wasowski's 1980 recordings of Chopin's complete mazurkas (previously issued by Finnadar Records) and his 1989 recordings of the complete nocturnes. These recordings were hailed by critics. Bernard Sherman, reviewing the mazurkas for the New York Times described Wasowski as one of those artists the broad international public neglects but critics and colleagues rave about. Another critic, Charles MichenerThe New York Observer, July 29, 1996 praised the Mazurkas as full-blooded and intoxicating, almost shocking in their use of rubato, the freedom with which they shake the pieces' rhythmic structures.
Later in his career he joined Extreme Championship Wrestling as "The Main Man" Tracy Smothers. He was often mocked by the crowd with chants of "Freddy Joe!!" regarding his WWF stint and was most notably remembered for doing a goofy dance, that ECW announcer Joey Styles often commented on by saying "what the hell is with that awful dance." He was part of The Full Blooded Italians (FBI), a comedy heel tag team, which also included Little Guido, "The Big Don" Tommy Rich, and (briefly) the "Italian Stallion" John T. Smith. Smothers, long associated with being a stereotypical southern wrestler, was billed as being from "Nashville, Italy" or "Southern Italy" during this time.
The Four Communes (French: quatre communes) of Senegal were the four oldest colonial towns in French West Africa. In 1848, the Second Republic extended the rights of full French citizenship to the inhabitants of Saint-Louis, Dakar, Gorée, and Rufisque. While those who were born in these towns could technically enjoy all the rights of native French citizens, substantial legal and social barriers prevented the full exercise of these rights, especially by those seen by authorities as 'full blooded' Africans. Most of the African population of these towns were termed originaires: those Africans born into the commune, but who retained recourse to African and/or Islamic law (the so- called "personal status").
" Scott Frampton of CMJ New Music Monthly felt that "Bothy Culture's filtering of traditional Highland sounds through urban modernity [is] more than equal to the sum of its parts." Keith Witham of The Living Tradition wrote that Bennett was a rare a musician "who doesn't have to hide behind electronic gadgetry to cover a lack of technical proficiency. As a classically trained musician he really is a master of his chosen instruments." Colin Irwin of The Independent reflected that Bothy Culture won Bennett many friends and marked him out as "a leading figure in the evolution of Scottish music," calling the album a "storming mix of Gaelic tradition, raw emotion and glorious, full-blooded dance beats.
Sutton noted how DuPrau does not explain the history of Ember all at once, which would confuse and overwhelm the reader and instead, "allows the events of the story to convey the necessary information". Lina and Doon were described as "good sorts" that are "deeply etched". Dian Roback from Publishers Weekly also praised the "full blooded characters" as every bit as good as the plot which would hook readers until the end. Although Jones Johns from School Library Journal wrote that the setting was not as ingenious as the ones in Joan Aiken's Is and Lois Lowry's The Giver, he said that the characters and pace of the plot would keep readers hooked.
He accompanied the Blue Meanie to the ring where they as the Blue World Order defeated the team of Little Guido and Big Sal the Full Blooded Italians. On August 8, 2010, Bucci took part in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling's ECW reunion show, Hardcore Justice, where he, as Hollywood Nova, accompanied Stevie Richards to the ring and later attacked Tommy Dreamer during his match with Raven. Bucci appeared in the "On the Spot Title Shot" Battle Royal for Pro Wrestling Syndicate in March 2015 where he reunited with BWO stablemates Stevie Richards and the Blue Meanie. The three also appeared at Pro Wrestling Syndicate's Supercard show on June 6, 2015 as part of Mick Foley's 50th Birthday Celebration.
Due to their earlier breeding with the native Daxamite population—a race of non-powered people discovered by the Kryptonian explorers who later came to be known as Daxamites themselves—the current Daxamite population, descended from both the Kryptonian and the native Daxam race, possess the ability to breed with other humanoid races, an ability they do not share with their parent race. The offspring of a modern Daxamite and another humanoid individual, like a terrestrial, would share the full powers and abilities of a full-blooded individual. All Daxamites are highly vulnerable to lead. Even the smallest exposure instantly robs powered Daxamites of their abilities and results in irreversible, fatal lead poisoning for all.
The album gained little attention from mainstream critics but received generally favourable reviews from others. Nick Robbins of Alter The Press gave the album a four stars out of five rating, praising the album for its stripped down reconstruction of tracks from their debut album, End Measured Mile describing them as "almost different songs that evoke completely different moods. In fact, there's a pleasure in playing the acoustic and full- blooded versions side-by-side, to see how two seemingly identical songs can be constructed so differently." Luke Davis of Dead Press gave the album nine out of ten stars spoke about the extended plays soft and melodic songs and in summary calling the ep "outstanding".

Bruce had taken over at Birmingham some three months previously and was in the process of rebuilding the team with a view to reaching the play-offs. He saw Tébily's major attributes as his size, strength and pace; a quality which soon became apparent was his whole-hearted commitment to the cause, as exemplified by his performance in the play-off semifinal against Millwall. Playing in an unaccustomed central midfield position, he man-marked Tim Cahill, later of Everton and Australia, out of the game, and won the ball from Stuart Nethercott with a full-blooded tackle having earlier lost his boot. In that season, Tébily never finished on the losing side at club level, either for Celtic or for Birmingham.
In the same year her work was the subject of a major survey exhibition Séraphine Pick: Tell Me More at Christchurch Art Gallery, curated by Felicity Milburn and toured to City Gallery Wellington and the Dunedin Public Art Gallery. The exhibition was accompanied by a publication with essays by Milburn, Lara Strongman, Andrew Paul Wood and others. Reviewer James Dignan, writing of Tell Me More in the Otago Daily Times in 2010, described the development of Pick's work as moving > [...] from ghostlike scratches on canvas to full-blooded figurative darkness > [showing influences] from Bosch through Redon to Leonor Fini. Through it > all, the subterranean undercurrents are a dominant thread, notably in the > recent large crowd scenes and solitary figures surrounded by mental echoes > of their physical surroundings.
Portishead's Adrian Utley explained that they found the music to Get Carter inspiring as "it was done quickly and cheaply with only a few instruments, and it had to be intensely creative to disguise its limitations". The Human League album Dare contains a track covering the Get Carter theme, although it was only a version of the sparse leitmotif that opens and closes the film as opposed to the full- blooded jazz piece that accompanies the train journey. Stereolab also covers Roy Budd's theme on their album Aluminum Tunes, although they call their version "Get Carter", as opposed to its proper title, "Main Theme (Carter Takes A Train)". This Stereolab version was subsequently used as a sample in the song "Got Carter" by 76.
Georgia Tech back Judy Harlan once spoke of Joe Guyon, a full blooded Indian, and his antics: "Once in a while the Indian would come out in Joe, such as the nights (John) Heisman gave us a white football and had us working out under the lights. That's when Guyon would give out the blood curdling war whoops." A white football signed by the members of the 1935 Collegiate All-Star Team, including president Gerald Ford The football changed in 1934, with a rule change that tapered the ball at the ends more and reduced the size around the middle. This new, sleeker ball made it much easier to handle, particularly for passers, while at the same time making the drop kick unreliable and obsolete.
Although Indos were legally European and could be found in all layers of society, with the continued arrival of white (totok) Dutch settlers and expatriates, their social status in colonial times increasingly depended on their efforts to blend into the white upper class. Within the legal class of Europeans therefore there was clear social and racial distinction between the ‘Totok’ (full blooded) and ‘Indo’ (mixed race) European or in other words the expatriate and native European. The other 2 common Dutch terms to make a social distinction are: 1) trekkers (English: sojourners) and 2) blijvers (English: stayers). The first term refers to the typical white expatriate colonial, while the second refers to the white colonial settler, but includes native Indo-Europeans.
In late 1999, having previously unrealised ambitions in this area, Weeks set up a small home studio and began working on new synth-based material with Bryon Adamson and together began to develop a new sound following a full-blooded electronic approach. The first fruits of their labour surfaced at the following year’s Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival in Leipzig, where the band played a synthesiser heavy set debuting the future RBN anthem "Faithless" written by Weeks on a Novation Supernova and a Korg Trinity rack. For some, the new sound was unexpected and very positively received, although Weeks and Adamson had been increasing the use of synthesisers in unreleased material for some time. In June 2003, the Faithless EP was released.

Serbian film critic Dubravka LakićDubravka Lakić grazia.rs. Retrieved February 3, 2015 wrote a review of the film in Politika following the Belgrade premiere of The Weight of Chains 2, in which she wrote that "it's not necessary for you to agree with Malagurski's ideology to notice that he indisputably made a full- blooded and, for our cinematic terms, unsurpassed documentary". She described the film as "exciting and dynamic", adding that, in regards to both content and form, it is a "complex film", which could have been "even better if it had been more concise". Lakić points out that, by "confronting claims made by the interviewees", the message of the film is clearly presented – "resistance to neoliberalism is no longer a matter of ideology, but of common sense".
In 1940, Calmeyer, serving as a soldier and a member of an aerial defense intelligence unit, took part in the invasion of the Netherlands by the German Army. In 1941, he was active in the Reichs Commissioner's Office (Reichskommissariat), which was in charge of all occupied districts in the Netherlands. While there, Calmeyer was appointed Director for the Interior Administration, which also handled 'Jewish affairs', thus enabling Calmeyer, as an administrative lawyer, to clear "racially ambiguous" Jewish cases for the German occupational administration in The Hague. Unlike policy in Germany, people of Jewish descent could rebut being registered as "full blooded Jews" by documenting and proving ancestry through word of mouth and birth certificates to qualify as "half-Jewish", "quarter-Jewish", or of Aryan descent.
Each episode shows funny, old Tante Lien hosting a cosy gathering (Koempoelan) at her home in which she and her guests snack on Indo food and reminisce about life back in the good old days (tempo doeloe) of the Dutch East Indies. Her guests are usually famous Indo and Totok (full blooded Dutch settlers of the colonial Dutch East Indies) artists that perform solo or together with Tante Lien or each other. Artists that have appeared in the show include the Blue Diamonds, Sandra Reemer and Willem Nijholt. Late Late Lien Show on Imdb Within the Indo community itself the show was viewed by some to be rather controversial, mainly due to the fact the Tante Lien character speaks Dutch with a strong Indo accent.
But it's campy and silly and just the ticket if you're in the mood for a film that makes you groan at its inanity as often as it makes you shiver." On his website Fantastic Movie Musings and Ramblings, Dave Sindelar stated that the film "never really becomes either a full-blooded horror movie or an effective variation on the fairy tale. The scare scenes would be more effective if they didn’t seem so arbitrary, and the last third of the movie fails to build up the necessary tension or suspense." TV Guide awarded the film 2/5 stars, and stated that the film "walks a fine line between good and bad taste, manipulating audience expectations and loyalties gleefully and shamelessly.

Big Show then appeared at ECW One Night Stand, attacking Tajiri, Super Crazy and The Full Blooded Italians after their tag team match. On the July 4 episode of ECW, Big Show beat Van Dam to win the ECW World Heavyweight Championship in Philadelphia with the assistance of ECW's General Manager Paul Heyman, who declined to make the three-count for Van Dam after Van Dam performed the Five Star Frog Splash on Big Show. Heyman then instructed Big Show to chokeslam Van Dam onto a chair, before making the three-count, meaning Big Show won the title. The fans almost rioted when Big Show won the title, throwing drinks and empty cups into the ring as Heyman and Big Show celebrated, turning heel in the process.
Other historians including Geoffrey Blainey and Keith Windschuttle, point to introduced disease as the main cause of the destruction of the full-blooded Tasmanian Aboriginal population. Keith Windschuttle argues that while smallpox never reached Tasmania, respiratory diseases such as influenza, pneumonia and tuberculosis and the effects of venereal diseases devastated the Tasmanian Aboriginal population whose long isolation from contact with the mainland compromised their resistance to introduced disease. The work of historian James Bonwick and anthropologist H. Ling Roth, both writing in the 19th century, also point to the significant role of epidemics and infertility without clear attribution of the sources of the diseases as having been introduced through contact with Europeans. Bonwick, however, did note that Tasmanian Aboriginal women were infected with venereal diseases by Europeans.
Homicide at a JAPW show in 2008 On October 22, 2005, Homicide teamed with his long-term nemesis Teddy Hart to defeat the Backseat Boyz for the JAPW Tag Team Championship. Their reign lasted until November 12 of that year, when Kashmere and Acid regained the title. On June 9, 2007, Homicide and his Latin American Xchange partner Hernandez defeated Jay Lethal and Azrieal to win the JAPW Tag Team titles, which they would hold for over a year before dropping them to The Full Blooded Italians of Little Guido and Tracy Smothers on November 15, 2008. On October 27, 2007, Homicide made good on his word when he defeated Low Ki to win the JAPW Heavyweight Title for a record–setting seventh time.
Even before World War II, Germany struggled with the idea of African mixed race German citizens. While interracial marriage was legal under German law at the time, beginning in 1890, some colonial officials started refusing to register them, using eugenics arguments about the inferiority of mixed-race children to support their decision. By 1912, this had become official policy in many German colonies, and a debate in the Reichstag over the legality of the interracial marriage bans ensued. A major concern brought up in debate was that mixed-race children born in such marriages would have German citizenship, and could therefore return to Germany with the same rights to vote, serve in the military, and could also hold public office as full- blooded ethnic Germans.
The album received mixed to favourable reviews. Mosh, in a mid-rating review, said: "As is typical of any artist’s first release, The Brave’s sound still needs some refining, but the guys have to be applauded for their bravery." Rating the album 7/10, Jennifer Geddes from Rock Sound said: "The Brave’s debut album is a heady cocktail of melodic anthems and full-blooded mosh pit starters." however she noted that "It's a shame that level of intensity isn’t present across the whole album..." Louder Sound rated the album positively, calling it "a surprisingly strong collection, deilvered with heart and passion." Chris Giacca of Kill Your Stereo criticised the band for sounding too similar to Bring Me the Horizon and Northlane.
Morgan said of him, "He is half French and half Kaw [Joe Jim was one-fourth or less French and three-fourths Kaw and Osage], and bright and intelligent. … He is married to a Potawatomi woman, and lives in a good log house on the bank of the beautiful Kansas River. He has a second house in which the cooking and eating is done. I took dinner with them and it was very good."Morgan, Lewis Henry, The Indian Journals: 1859-1862. Ann Arbor: U of MI Press, 1959, p. 35 Joe Jim’s wife was Margaret Curley, a full-blooded Potawatomi Indian. The Potawatomi had been forced by the U.S. to move to Kansas from the Ohio River valley in the 1830s.
Although the prospect of a new opera from Verdi aroused immense interest in Italy and around the world, Falstaff did not prove to be as popular as earlier works in the composer's canon. After the initial performances in Italy, other European countries and the US, the work was neglected until the conductor Arturo Toscanini insisted on its revival at La Scala and the Metropolitan Opera in New York from the late 1890s into the next century. Some felt that the piece suffered from a lack of the full-blooded melodies of the best of Verdi's previous operas, a view strongly contradicted by Toscanini. Conductors of the generation after Toscanini to champion the work included Herbert von Karajan, Georg Solti and Leonard Bernstein.
Members of the Chectco tribe in 1856 The Chetco (Chetco: chit-dee-ni, chit- dee-ne or Chit-dv-ne' ) are a tribe of Native Americans who originally lived along the lower Chetco River and Winchuck River in Curry County in the U.S. state of Oregon. The name Chetco comes from the word meaning "close to the mouth of the Chetco River" in their own language, which is part of the Athapascan languages. Although they were once one of the largest tribes on the Pacific coast of Oregon, "the last known full-blooded Chetco" living on the Chetco River (Lucy Dick) died in 1940. Many of Lucy Dick’s and Amelia Van Pelt’s (Chetco/Tututni) descendants continue to live in the Chetco region, and are members of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians.
Ernst Moritz Hess (20 March 1890 - 14 September 1983) was a baptized German Jew who served in the Imperial German Army during the First World War. He commanded the company of the Bavarian Reserve Infantry Regiment 16 in which Adolf Hitler served during the war. During the inter-war period he served as a judge before being forced out of office after the passing of the Nuremberg Laws by the Nazis in 1935, as he was classified as a "full-blooded Jew" due to his mother being Jewish, even though he was baptised a Protestant. He emigrated with his family to Bolzano in Italy to escape Nazi persecution but was eventually forced to move back to Germany, though as a former war comrade of Hitler's he was granted protection and some privileges for a while.
Due to more than half the team withdrawing on the eve of the game, the first squad included a lot of non-Latin players; however, six players who played in the tournament were of Latino heritage - Sarmiento, Villegas, Alex Moreno, Josh Gadea-Hellyer, Alejandro Zota Balvin and an Australian-born, Colombian-raised son of missionaries Leighton Johannesen. The Latin Heat experienced their first international match on the Gold Coast on 18 January 2014 in front of approximately 1500 people. They lost to the Philippines 114–0; however, this was their first full-blooded 13-a-side match and the full 17 players were of Latin American heritage, with most not having any previous experience in the sport. They then entered the Cabramatta International Nines in Sydney on 2 February 2014.
Cristina Calderón in 2013 Yahgan basket, woven by Abuela Cristina Calderón Cristina Calderón (born May 24, 1928 at Robalo, Puerto Williams on Navarino Island, Chile) is the last living full-blooded Yaghan person after the death of her 84 year-old sister Úrsula in 2005. By 2004, Calderón (often referred to as simply "Abuela", Spanish for "grandmother") and her sister-in-law Emelinda Acuña were the only two remaining native speakers of the Yaghan language. With her granddaughter Cristina Zárraga and her sister Úrsula Calderón she published a book of Yaghan stories called Hai Kur Mamashu Shis (I Want to Tell You a Story) in 2005. Zárraga, along with her husband Oliver Vogel, published Yagankuta, a dictionary and storybook of the Yaghan language, in 2010, based on interviews with Calderón.
Worth mentioning are the excellent treasury of words and of style". Heinemann Ltd from England sent a telegram to Benzoni with the text: Congratulations – every success – with Belle Catherine - Heinemann. In 1967, the American book cover read: "Juliette Benzoni's Belle Catherine – A ravishing heroine in the full-blooded tradition of Désirée and Angélique, over 500,000 copies sold!" In 1973, ten years after the first volume of Catherine appeared, Alain Decaux, acclaimed French historian, and member of the Académie Française, wrote in his foreword Foreword in Par le Fer ou le Poison, Alain Decaux, Académie française for Benzoni's book Par le Fer ou le Poison:Bibliothèque De Prêt – Par le Fer et le Poison "Thanks to you, I followed Catherine's burning adventures... I know how you work, how you prepare yourself.
The vast majority of non-Hispanic West Indian Americans are of black Afro-Caribbean descent, with the remaining portion mainly made up of multi- racials and Indo-Caribbean people, especially in the Guyanese, Trinidadian and Surinamese communities, where people of Indo-Caribbean descent make up a significant portion of the populations. The parts of the Caribbean that are almost completely dominated by full-blooded blacks are Jamaica, Haiti, the Bahamas, and majority of the island-nations in the Lesser Antilles. People from Haiti are genetically and culturally the most African people outside of Africa, with almost no non-African admixture in the gene pool of the average Haitian and the most African influenced culture of any country outside of Africa. Over 70 percent of Caribbean immigrants were from Jamaica and Haiti, as of 2010.
Calvin is a full-blooded werepanther and leader of the werepanther community in Hotshot, a close knit and secretive community ten miles from Bon Temps. He is first introduced in the fourth novel, Dead to the World, and he is portrayed as a man in his late forties, with trimmed beard salted with gray, short hair and green golden eyes. He is a small man, around five foot seven inches with an agile build and muscular arms. Because Hotshot takes care of its own justice, Calvin has a good deal of power over its residents, including the power to decide who is executed for their crimes. Calvin is Crystal’s uncle. When he first meets Sookie, she senses that Calvin and Crystal’s relationship is more than the authority of an uncle.
Attracted by the universal appeal of the Katipunan's Kartilya, there were several members who were not native Filipinos at all yet joined the Katipunan and/or, later, the Philippine Revolutionary Army (PRA) in the spirit of national liberation. However, after making a deal with the demon Neron, Ocean Master could manipulate magical energy once again but in greater amounts through use of the magic trident he was provided as a focus for his power. However, should he be separated from his trident, he would pay the price of a horribly blemished face and excruciating surges of pain. Orm also wore a helmet that let him breathe underwater and special body armor that let him withstand the pressures of the deep and offer some resistance from physical attacks. In the New 52 reboot, Orm is a full-blooded Atlantean with physiology similar to his half-brother; like Arthur he is capable of breathing under water without difficulty, and able to move and navigate the ocean deep with keen senses adapted to it.
They did not understand the British concept of property, and were hunted down by ranchers' militias for the offense of "poaching" sheep in their former territories. In Sailing Alone Around the World (1900), Joshua Slocum wrote that when he sailed solo to Tierra del Fuego, European-Chileans warned him the Yaghan might rob and possibly kill him if he moored in a particular area, so he sprinkled tacks on the deck of his boat, the Spray. In the 1920s, some Yahgan were resettled on Keppel Island in the Falkland Islands in an attempt to preserve the tribe, as described by E. Lucas Bridges in Uttermost Part of the Earth (1948), but they continued to die off. The second-to-last full-blooded Yaghan, Emelinda Acuña, died in 2005.
In April 2010, it was announced in a press release that the character would return in an episode of the fourth series of the Doctor Who spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures, also guest-starring Matt Smith (the Eleventh Doctor). Elisabeth Sladen, who portrayed the lead role of Sarah Jane Smith in the spin-off, indicated that she was "delighted to be working with [Manning]", having known the actress for a very long time. Manning was surprised but very pleased to be asked to appear in the Doctor Who spin-off; playing Jo again was something she had "never really considered". Doctor Who 2005–2010 executive producer and creator of The Sarah Jane Adventures Russell T Davies later indicated in an interview with Doctor Who Magazine that Jo's return would be more than a "cameo", and a "full-blooded" appearance.
The five-hour miniseries The Mystic Warrior began life in 1979 when producer David L. Wolper announced plans for a ten-hour adaptation of Hanta Yo, an epic historical novel by Ruth Beebe Hill. Using as her main source a full-blooded Sioux named Chunksa Yuha, Hill fashioned what amounted to a Native American version of Roots, chronicling the history of the fictional Matho (lakota: 'Bear') tribe of the Oglala Lakota Sioux. Although Hill was briefly the darling of the literary cognoscenti, her book was ultimately attacked and discredited by a veritable army of Indian historians, teachers, and activists, who accused her of distorting and falsifying truths in order to promote her own (and Yuha's) sociopolitical agenda. Suddenly, all of the Native American support that had been promised to the miniseries version of Hanta Yo evaporated.
Waltman in 2012 On August 8, 2009, at GLCW Slamfest, X-Pac became the new GLCW Heavyweight Champion by defeating Skull Crusher, who had replaced champion Al Snow when he no-showed. On February 26, 2011, Waltman was inducted into the Legends Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame in Wheeling, West Virginia by Jack Blaze at their "LPW X-Factor 2011" event. On March 5, 2011, Waltman reunited with former D-Generation X members Road Dogg and Billy Gunn for a six-man tag match at a Pro Wrestling Syndicate show in Long Island, New York. A week later, X-Pac defeated UIW Lightweight Champion Stupid in a non-title match. In October 2011, X-Pac teamed with Billy Gunn wrestled the Full Blooded Italians in the main event on a Caribbean Pro Wrestling show in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
Kurt Gödel Kurt Gödel's PlatonismPlatonism in Metaphysics (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy) postulates a special kind of mathematical intuition that lets us perceive mathematical objects directly. (This view bears resemblances to many things Husserl said about mathematics, and supports Kant's idea that mathematics is synthetic a priori.) Davis and Hersh have suggested in their 1999 book The Mathematical Experience that most mathematicians act as though they are Platonists, even though, if pressed to defend the position carefully, they may retreat to formalism. Full-blooded Platonism is a modern variation of Platonism, which is in reaction to the fact that different sets of mathematical entities can be proven to exist depending on the axioms and inference rules employed (for instance, the law of the excluded middle, and the axiom of choice). It holds that all mathematical entities exist.
Indian Will was a well-known Native American who lived in a former settlement of the Shawnee Indians at the site of present-day Cumberland, Maryland, in the 18th century. The site was abandoned by the Shawnees prior to the first white settlers arriving in the region, but 'Indian Will' stayed behind living in a hut on the mountain side. Will was a local legend in his time, and he is even credited with the original ownership of the present-day Wills Creek and Wills Mountain. According to William Harrison Lowdermilk, Will was a full-blooded Indian, who with family and a few followers remained in the land of their forefathers; despite the approach of the white man, they did not remove their wigwams but received their strange visitors with a kindly greeting and lived in intimate friendship with them.
Critics claim this is just a required reinterpretation of the prophecy. In rabbinic thinking, the reestablishment of the Davidic kingdom was tied to the Messiah, who was to be a descendant of King David. He would redeem the Jews from exile and reestablish their independence in the land of Israel. Jews argue this is not fulfilled in Jesus. If he was adopted, they argue, based on a distinction between full-blooded Jews and half-blooded Jews in the scripture,(Numbers 1:18-44, 34:14; Leviticus 24:10) under Jewish law certain family and tribal affiliations must be through the birth father and cannot be claimed by adoption. Moreover, Jews argue that the Messiah must descend through David's son Solomon (2 Sam 7:12-16, Psalm 89:28-38, 1 Chronicles 17:11-14, 22:9-10, 28:6-7).
Set in 1968 New York City in an alternate universe to the Dryco universe of the previous five iterations of the series, Going, Going, Gone nevertheless disposes of several of the series' characters in its closing chapters. Its protagonist is Walter Bullitt, an egocentric expert in psychoactive substances who freelances for various branches of the increasingly Nazi-influenced United States government spy apparatus. Though he passes for white, Bullitt is in fact of African-American descent in an USA where, as revealed in previous novels in the Dryco series, the American Civil War never took place. As a result, racial relations in this version of the USA have been much more fraught, with almost all full-blooded African Americans interned and used as slave labor during World War II before being disposed of, and by 1968 even black music has been culturally marginalized.
FAO in 2019 with the number of inhabitants given in thousands Oranjestad, the capital of Aruba In terms of country of birth, the population is estimated to be 66% Aruban, 9.1% Colombian, 4.3% Dutch, 4.1% Dominican, 3.2% Venezuelan, 2.2% Curaçaoan, 1.5% Haitian, 1.2% Surinamese, 1.1% Peruvian, 1.1% Chinese, 6.2% other. In terms of ethnic composition, the population is estimated to be 75% mestizo and white, 15% black and 10% other ethnicities. Arawak heritage is stronger on Aruba than on most Caribbean islands; although no full-blooded Aboriginals remain, the features of the islanders clearly indicate their genetic Arawak heritage. Most of the population is descended from Caquetio Indians, African slaves, and Dutch settlers, and to a lesser extent the various other groups that have settled on the island over time, such as the Spanish, Portuguese, English, French, and Sephardic Jews.
Led by Italy, Mediterranean countries, slowly followed by most of the Holy Roman Empire in Germany and Central Europe, generally adopted a full- blooded Baroque approach. A rather different art developed out of northern realist traditions in 17th century Dutch Golden Age painting, which had very little religious art, and little history painting, instead playing a crucial part in developing secular genres such as still life, genre paintings of everyday scenes, and landscape painting. While the Baroque nature of Rembrandt's art is clear, the label is less used for Vermeer and many other Dutch artists. Most Dutch art lacks the idealization and love of splendour typical of much Baroque work, including the neighbouring Flemish Baroque painting which shared a part in Dutch trends, while also continuing to produce the traditional categories in a more clearly Baroque style.
The ambivalent nature of The Threepenny Opera, derived from an 18th-century ballad opera but conceived in terms of 20th-century musical theatre, has led to discussion as how it can best be characterised. According to critic and musicologist Hans Keller, the work is "the weightiest possible lowbrow opera for highbrows and the most full-blooded highbrow musical for lowbrows". The Weill authority Stephen Hinton notes that "generic ambiguity is a key to the work’s enduring success", and points out the work's deliberate hybrid status: > For Weill [The Threepenny Opera] was not just ‘the most consistent reaction > to [Richard] Wagner’; it also marked a positive step towards an operatic > reform. By explicitly and implicitly shunning the more earnest traditions of > the opera house, Weill created a mixed form which incorporated spoken > theatre and popular musical idioms.
This European segment of society can be broadly divided into the following 3 social layers: 1) a small top layer of colonial and commercial leadership, including governors, directors, managers (ceo's), etc. Mostly consisting of expatriate Dutchmen; 2) a large middle class of mostly Indo civil servants; 3) lower income (to poor) layer solely consisting of Indo people that were legally European, but had a living standard close or similar to the indigenous masses. Since 1870, none of these layers were allowed to own and work land and with the continued arrival of white Dutch expatriates, their social status in colonial times increasingly depended on their efforts to blend into the white upper class. Within the legal class of Europeans, therefore, there was clear social, cultural and mental distinction between the so-called expatriate ‘Totok’ (full blooded) European and native ‘Indo’ (mixed) European.
Even before his death, Noah Raby's age claim was noted with some skepticism: > Noah Raby, also a pauper, an inmate of the almshouse at Piscatawa, [sic] > near New Brunswick, New Jersey, celebrated what he said was his 125th > birthday on April 1, 1897. The 1904 season marked the first time the Carlisle school had a Native American coaching staff: > "For the first time in its history, this season the Carlisle Indian football > team will have full-blooded Indians as head coach and assistant coaches, > with full authority to plan their own campaigns against the products of the > white men's universities in the persons of Edward Rodgers, head coach, Frank > Hudson and Bemus Pierce, assistants. Never before have the redskins been > trusted to do the brainwork incident to the planning for a football season > ... Rodgers, Pierce and Hudson replaced Glenn "Pop" Warner. As an assistant coach at Carlisle, he also played in the 1904 game vs Haskell at Francis Field in St. Louis, Missouri.
Daniel Rudd, who organized the initial National Black Catholic Conference which was held in 1889, was quoted in the November 8, 1888, edition of The Irish Canadian as commenting about the Congress by saying, "For a long time the idea prevailed that the negro was not wanted beyond the altar rail, and for that reason, no doubt, hundreds of young colored men who would otherwise be officiating at the altar rail today have entered other walks. Now that this mistaken idea has been dispelled by the advent of one full-blooded negro priest, the Rev. Augustus Tolton, many more have entered the seminaries in this country and Europe". Another indication of the prominence given Tolton by parts of the American Catholic hierarchy was his participation, a few months later, on the altar at an international celebration of the centenary of the establishment of the first U.S. Catholic diocese in Baltimore.
Lamika tries to persuade her father not to allow a human into the family, but Lee reveals that there is no harm in doing so, as Lamika's own mother was a human - making her a dhampir instead of a full-blooded vampire and Lamika is restrained by Count Lee when she becomes hysterical at the revelation. Rei requests that the Count give him eternal life as a member of the Nobility, but he is coldly rebuffed for his past failures leaving Rei in a rage. As a mutant attempts to devour D's comatose body, his Left Hand revives him just in time for him to kill the monster. As the processional for the Count and Doris’ wedding takes place, Dan, having infiltrated the Count's castle, attempts to attack Lee, but is repelled by Lee and falls into a chasm before being saved by Rei who has switched sides.
Indian roots are traced back to freed Portuguese slaves from India called Mardijker people and Sri-Lankan roots to the Ceylon free Burghers. African roots are traced back to Ghanaian soldiers serving in the colonial army (KNIL). See: Bosma U., Raben R. Being "Dutch" in the Indies: a history of creolisation and empire, 1500-1920 (University of Michigan, NUS Press, 2008) Due to the above described diversity, the ethnic features of each Indo family (member) may vary considerably.Physical features vary from dark skin to fair skin, dark hair to fair hair, dark eyes to light eyes, etc. See: Rozario, S.M.S. ‘Door blauwe ogen.’ (Publisher: Fontaine Uitgevers, 2005) Notwithstanding their European legal status and even though all family names were uniformly European, their ethnic features made most Indos in colonial times quite easily distinguishable from the full blooded (totok) Dutch expatriate or settler and often physically indistinguishable from indigenous islanders.
The original Full Blooded Italians began in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). In April 1996 at Massacre on Queens Boulevard, J.T. Smith - whose gimmick was that, after sustaining a concussion, he believed himself to be an Old World Italian despite being African American - announced that he had discovered that Damien Stone was his Sicilian cousin, dubbing him "Little Guido". The partnership between Smith and Little Guido expanded to include multiple other wrestlers, including "Big" Val Puccio, Tracy Smothers and Tommy Rich, and Little Guido. Guido has been involved in every ECW and/or WWE incarnation of the F.B.I. The running gag of the group was that most of the wrestlers were obviously not of Italian descent, but they often claimed to be and acted in stereotypical Italian American ways, including none-too-subtle Mafia references, constant hand gestures, and praising famous Italian figures such as Frank Sinatra and Rocky Balboa.
It is the story of a young woman who is a quarter Native American and decides to pretend she is a full- blooded Indian princess when she visits her father's rustic cabin after completing college in the East. Glaum then began working with J. Parker Read Jr. Productions, which she later described as J. Parker Read, Jr.'s unit as a subsidiary producing company for Thomas Ince. She signed a four-year contract, with a salary starting at $2,000 a week and increasing to $4,000, and some of the features she starred in for that company were as Mignon in Sahara (1919), a big financial success that was written especially for the star by C. Gardner Sullivan, with the production supervised by Allan Dwan; and the dual roles as Princess Sonia and as her daughter, Sonia, in the crime/thriller The Lone Wolf's Daughter (1919). Glaum, c.
Shooting Attack of the Graske This episode had the working title Changeling World.Doctor Who Magazine #366 Executive producer Julie Gardner told Doctor Who Magazine that the mini-episode was treated as a "full-blooded, sophisticated production," with a new alien villain, new sets and new special effects. Writer Gareth Roberts went on to write the episodes "Invasion of the Bane" (co-written with Russell T Davies), Revenge of the Slitheen, The Empty Planet, Goodbye, Sarah Jane Smith (co- written with Clayton Hickman), The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith, The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith and Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane? for the Doctor Who spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures, as well as the Doctor Who episodes "The Shakespeare Code", "The Unicorn and the Wasp", "Planet of the Dead" (co- written with Davies), "The Lodger", "Closing Time", and "The Caretaker" (co- written with Steven Moffat).
Alapaʻimaloiki was the half-brother of royal twins Kamanawa and Kameʻeiamoku, and full-blooded brother of Keʻeaumoku Pāpaʻiahiahi, the three trusted advisors of Kamehameha I who helped him united the Hawaiian islands. Thus, she would have been a close relative of the powerful Queen Kaʻahumanu, who served as kuhina nui and regent for King Kamehameha II and Kamehameha III. She became a close friend and attendant (similar to a European lady-in-waiting) of Princess Nāhiʻenaʻena, the youngest daughter of Kamehameha I and his most sacred wife Keōpūolani, and the sister of King Kamehameha II and Kamehameha III. During her youth, she, along with other attendants of the princess, the chiefesses Jane Lahilahi, Laura Kōnia, Ulumāheihei, Polupolu, and Kapoli, were punished by Queen Kaʻahumanu for breaking Christian laws and corrupting the young King Kamehameha III, who had ascended the throne after his brother's untimely death in London.

" The latter had to "look at species either as separate creations or as in some manner distinct entities" but those accepting evolution "will feel no doubt that all the races of man are descended from a single primitive stock". Although races differed considerably, they also shared so many features "that it is extremely improbable that they should have been independently acquired by aboriginally distinct species or races." He drew on his memories of Jemmy Button and John Edmonstone to emphasise "the numerous points of mental similarity between the most distinct races of man. The American aborigines, Negroes and Europeans differ as much from each other in mind as any three races that can be named; yet I was incessantly struck, whilst living with the Fuegians on board the Beagle, with the many little traits of character, shewing how similar their minds were to ours; and so it was with a full-blooded negro with whom I happened once to be intimate.
He reveals that they are full-blooded siblings, with Shuu using knowledge of Sakuya's true heritage to blackmail Yuuya into assisting him. Yuuya seemingly dies, Shuu's scalpel having been laced with the same neurotoxin that killed the headmaster, leaving Sakuya in a state of shock. Ryouta, searching for a way into the medical center basement, seeks out Nageki, a ghost, in the library to ask him about his death. Upon discovering documents revealing that Operation Hatoful was a Hawk Party project into developing biological weapons for use against humans using the school as an experimental facility—with a focus on a strain of H5N1 almost immediately lethal to humans dubbed the Charon virus—Nageki recalls that the fire was caused by his committing suicide by self-immolation after months of forced experimentation in order to destroy and remove any trace of the virus, which was isolated in his body, and that researchers often went in through the chemistry preparation room.
Partly influenced by the anti-Western rhetoric and policies of the Sukarno administration the anti-communist senator Francis E. Walter pleaded for a second term of the Refugee Relief Act in 1957 and an additional slot of 15,000 visas in 1958.Willems, Wim "De uittocht uit Indie (1945-1995), De geschiedenis van Indische Nederlanders" (Publisher: Bert Bakker, Amsterdam, 2001) p.256-257 In 1958, the Pastore–Walter Immigration Act for the relief of certain distressed aliens was passed allowing for a one off acceptance of 10,000 Dutchmen from Indonesia (excluding the regular annual quota of 3,136 visas). It was hoped however that only 10% of these Dutch refugees would in fact be racially mixed Indos and the American embassy in The Hague was frustrated with the fact that Canada, where ethnic profiling was even stricter, was getting the full-blooded Dutch and the United States was getting Dutch "all rather heavily dark".
Demetrius was of Macedonian descent. He was surnamed The Fair, because he was an attractive man. He was born and raised in Macedonia. Demetrius was named after his father and was the youngest of the children of King Demetrius I of Macedon and his wife, Ptolemais. Demetrius I married Ptolemais as his fifth wife around 287 BC/286 BC in Miletus, while this was Ptolemais’ first marriage. Demetrius was the only child born into the marriage, as his father died shortly thereafter, in 283 BC. From his father’s previous marriages, Demetrius had various paternal half siblings, who included king Antigonus II Gonatas, as well as Stratonice of Syria, princess and later Queen of the Seleucid Empire. Demetrius’ maternal grandparents were the first Greek-Egyptian pharaoh Ptolemy I Soter and Eurydice. Among his maternal aunts were Queen Arsinoe II of Egypt and among his maternal uncles were Pharaoh Ptolemy II Philadelphus and Macedonian King Ptolemy Keraunos (Keraunos was Ptolemais’ full blooded brother).
The Muscogee Creek Indians were initially opposed to all missionaries and the establishment of schools, but after seeing the works of the Koweta Mission the Muscogee (Creek) Nation to allow the creation of another mission northwest of Muskogee. The Creeks said they would pay one- fifth while the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions would pay the rest of the cost. Rev. Loughridge chose the site for Tullahassee Mission and purchased of land from Thomas Marshall. A three-storey, brick building was constructed on the site to house 80 students. The school opened in 1850 and operated for the next two decades as a boarding school to train both "full- blooded" and "mixed-blood" Muscogee students. In the beginning years of the school, Tullahassee admitted 80 students who were primarily full-blood Creek Indians.Steineker, R.F. (2016). Less obvious was the fiercely independent Chini, a take on Apache female warrior(s) Dahteste and/or Gouyen. The most famous Apache female warrior, Lozen, was concurrently a powerful prophet and, incidentally, a sister of Victorio. The scalp hunter Gideon "Eggskull" O'Bannon, so called because he had survived a scalping, which however had left the top of his skull exposed, is also grounded in fact, as two historical 19th century counterparts were known to have shared a similar fate, Josiah P. Wilbarger and Robert McGee. Even the highly unusual inclusion - considering the racist attitudes of the organization at the time - of the Native-American Crowe in the officer ranks of the regular US Army is not without historical precedent, as a respected full-blooded Native-American, Ely S. Parker, had served as volunteer with distinction in the Civil War on the staff of Ulysses Grant, in the process rising to the rank of general, and gaining a formal officer's commission in the regular army after the war.
Decades before the events of the movie take place, wealthy socialite Ralph Wilhern has an affair with a servant girl named Clara, but is talked out of marrying her by his disapproving family. Heartbroken, Clara throws herself off a cliff, and her embittered and vengeful witch mother (Michael Feast) curses the Wilherns so that the next daughter to be born into the affluent family will have the face of a pig, a curse only to be lifted when "one of her own kind" learns to love her. For five generations, the Wilherns produce only sons. The curse is seemingly broken after a girl is born within the Wilherns, until it is revealed that the girl is not a full blooded Wilhern, but a girl born from an affair between Ella Wilhern and another man. It isn’t until the birth of Penelope (Christina Ricci), Ella’s granddaughter and a true-blooded Wilhern, that the curse takes place, much to the distress of her mother Jessica (Catherine O'Hara).
In Margy McCrary's article, “The Aztec Connection: Exploring the Construction of Azuela's Revolutionaries in The Underdogs”, she examines the description of Demetrio as a “full-blooded Aztec”. She argues he gains authority over the land, and constructs a cultural identity where he and Mexican peasants must establish in order to resist the Spanish conquerors. McCrary contends that the purpose of a revolution is to reject the identity of the colonizer, but in order to do this “some sort of unified identity is necessary for a group to revolt successfully” (McCrary 31). The pre-colonial Aztec is embodied by Demetrio Macías because he is connected to both his ancestors and the land. Demetrio is depicted as “riding proudly on his horse” with “pure-blooded Aztec cheeks”, however, Demetrio “seems devoid of any defined identity” because he never acknowledges a greater reasoning to his involvement in the revolution other than either revenge or satisfaction in being the revolutionaries' leader (Azuela 72).
The Petitioners were the Santa Clara Pueblo, an Indian tribe that has been in existence for more than 600 years, and its Governor, Lucario Padilla.. Respondents were Julia Martinez, a full-blooded member of the Santa Clara Pueblo, and her daughter. Martinez brought suit in federal court against the tribe and Padilla, asking the court to strike down a tribal ordinance denying membership in the tribe to children of female members who marry outside the tribe, while extending membership to children of male members who marry outside the tribe. Martinez was married to a member of the Navajo Nation, which meant her children were ineligible for membership in the Santa Clara Pueblo. While her children could live with her on the reservation, they were not permitted to vote in tribal elections, hold secular office in the tribe, possess a right to remain on the reservation if their mother died, nor inherit their mother's home or her possessory interests in communally-held land.
The music touches on Celtic melodies, bluesy rock stomps, nods to goth and gospel." The Daily Telegraphs Neil McCormick viewed Ceremonials as "a giant, fluid, emotionally resonant album" and stated, "Contrary to the name she has given her band, the Machine feel organic and human, providing an epic, full-blooded soundtrack to Welch's voodoo, in which rhythm, melody and chanting are employed to drive out neuroses and insecurities, characterised as ghosts and devils." Rob Harvilla of Spin described Welch as "a bloodied, bloodying songbird in a gilded cage of immaculately crafted, slow-burn, chest-beating empowerment anthems, gripping steel bars that her elegantly volcanic voice could shred at any moment", adding, "She's so much better than her material that her material is rendered immaterial." Michael Hann of The Guardian concluded that the album "always sounds wonderful—producer Paul Epworth has created a warm, soft, four-poster featherbed of sound for Welch to emote over—but it never really satisfies.
In addition, shortly after seeing a spirit, he learned that his cat Itsue disappeared, leading Agemaki to believe that the spirit caused Itsue's disappearance. It is also alluded to that his mother and sister have some kind of spiritual power (or possibly being spirits themselves) since they can see spirits that humans do not and Kei's mother knew that Zakuro was a half-spirit even though she hid her ears. At the start of the series, he panics upon seeing full-blooded spirits, such as Amaryōju and Mamezo, and becomes so afraid, he asks Zakuro, who is easier to accept because of her more human appearance, to accompany him to the outhouse. Afterward, he makes an effort to understand Zakuro and other spirits, although this causes him to make the wrong conclusions, like offering the half-fox spirit Zakuro a candle to eat when he does not realize fox spirits do not actually eat candles.
Anil Krishna Biswas (7 July 1914 – 31 May 2003) was an noted Indian film music director and playback singer from 1935 to 1965, who apart from being one of pioneers of playback singing, is also credited for the first Indian orchestra of twelve pieces and introducing orchestral music and full-blooded choral effects, into Indian cinema. Windschuttle refers to accounts by the French zoologist François Péron (who is credited with the first use of the term anthropology),Flannery, T. F. (1994) The Future Eaters: An Ecological History of the Australasian Lands and People, Chatswood: New South Wales Edward Duyker, François Péron: an Impetuous Life: Naturalist and Voyager, Miegunyah Press, 2006, describes him as the expedition's assistant zoologist. by George Augustus Robinson in his journals, and by the early Australian writer James Bonwick, of the violence and cruelty with which many Tasmanian Aboriginal men were observed to treat women. He notes that the "murder of women because of insult, jealousy and infidelity, was common" and that a woman who refused a particular suitor would often be abducted and raped. He argues that this contributed to the willingness of some Aboriginal women to associate themselves with sealers and settlers rather than their own people, so reducing the full-blooded Aboriginal population's ability to reproduce itself. He cites a number of accounts including one published in 1820 by a British officer who had spoken with Aboriginal women living with Bass Strait sealers.
The departure of Mustafa Saed and Perry Saturn from ECW led New Jack to form a new tag team with former Eliminator John Kronus called The Gangstanators on August 21, 1997 by defeating The Dudley Boyz. The team debuted on television on the September 20 episode of Hardcore TV when Kronus earned a title shot at the ECW World Tag Team Championship by defeating the Dudleys and then Jack showed up as his tag team partner. They received their title shot at As Good as it Gets, where Gangstanators defeated Dudley Boyz to win the World Tag Team Championship, marking Jack's third tag title reign. They lost the titles to The Full Blooded Italians (Little Guido and Tracy Smothers) on the November 1 episode of Hardcore TV. They defeated Hardcore Chair Swingin' Freaks (Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney) and Dudley Boyz in a three-way dance at Fright Fight and received a rematch for the titles against FBI, the Freaks and Dudleys in a four-way dance at November to Remember but failed to win the titles.
The Tanganekald lay to the southeast of the Jarildekald and occupied , predominantly about the narrow coastal strip along Coorong. Norman Tindale gives the following precise locations, based on detailed work with his informant, Clarence Long (Milerum), the last full blooded adult survivor of the Tangane. > from Middleton south to Twelve Mile Point (north of Kingston); inland only > to about inner margin of first inland swamp and dune terrace, the Woakwine > or 25 foot (7.5 m.) terrace, usually no more than 5 to 10 miles (8 to 16 > km.); on islands in Lake Alexandrina, except eastern and western extremities > of Hindmarsh Island; around Meningie at south and of Lake Albert, at Salt > Creek and Taratap (Ten Mile Point). A distinction was made between (a) teŋgi - the sandy grassed limestone slopes just back of the pandalapi (Coorong lagoon) where they fished and favoured for camping, as was the southern seaward side, the pariŋari, protected by the natunijuru, duned sandhills between them and the seashore (jurli) - and the inland mallee and swamps, known as lerami, which were good for hunting.
A picture of the last four "full-blooded" Tasmanian Aborigines c.1860s. Truganini, the last to survive, is seated at far right In the 1990s, Cocker shifted his focus from the orthodox biography of colonial figures to a moral reflection upon the real impact of European Empire; this resulted in his next two books: Loneliness and Time: British Travel Writing in the Twentieth CenturyLoneliness and Time: British Travel Writing in the Twentieth Century, Secker and Warburg, London, 1992; published as Loneliness and Time The Story of British Travel Writing, Pantheon, New York, 1993; Secker and Warburg (paperback), London, 1994 and Rivers of Blood, Rivers of Gold: Europe’s Conflict with Tribal People.Rivers of Blood, Rivers of Gold: Europe’s Conflict with Tribal People, Jonathan Cape, London, 1998; Pimlico, (paperback), London 1999; Rivers of Blood, Rivers of Gold, Europe's Conquest of Indigenous Peoples, Grove Atlantic, 2000; (paperback) 2001 Loneliness and Time is an attempt to provide both a generic understanding of the importance of travel and foreign lands to the British psyche, and an investigation of the intellectual value and literary canons of the travel book. It received mixed reviews.

Wagner wrote of his preoccupations with Schopenhauer and Tristan in a letter to Franz Liszt (December 16, 1854): > Never in my life having enjoyed the true happiness of love I shall erect a > memorial to this loveliest of all dreams in which, from the first to the > last, love shall, for once, find utter repletion. Painting of Mathilde Wesendonck (1850) by Karl Ferdinand Sohn By the end of 1854, Wagner had sketched out all three acts of an opera on the Tristan theme, based on Gottfried von Strassburg's telling of the story. While the earliest extant sketches date from December 1856, it was not until August 1857 that Wagner began devoting his attention entirely to the opera, putting aside the composition of Siegfried to do so. On 20 August he began the prose sketch for the opera, and the libretto (or poem, as Wagner preferred to call it) was completed by September 18.Millington 1992, p. 300.
