One of the goals of the EAFJD is to strengthen the ties and deepen cooperation between Armenia and the member states of the EU. In 2013, with common efforts of the Mission of Armenia to the EU and the EAFJD a friendship group with Armenia was established in the European Parliament. The Nanjing Memorial Hall was built in 1985 by the Nanjing Municipal Government in memory of the three hundred thousand victims of the massacre. In 1995, it was enlarged and renovated. The memorial exhibits historical records and objects, and uses architecture, sculptures, and videos to illustrate what happened during the Nanjing Massacre. Many historical items were donated by Japanese members of a Japanese–Chinese friendship group, which also donated a garden located on the museum grounds.

The US/Australia Parliamentary Friendship Group is a group of elected members of the Parliament of Australia whose aim is to "foster even stronger relations between the two countries (Australia and U.S.) and their elected representatives". The Chairperson is Michael Danby MP (Melbourne Ports, Australian Labor Party) in the Australian House of Representatives. On January 22, 2015, Chan revealed to the public that he would take a five-week leave of absence while undergoing treatment for nasopharyngeal cancer. Upon his return, he resumed his role and criticized the Harper government's partisan use of public advertising, and their lack of promotion of Canada in the global tourism market. Following the Liberal victory in the October 2015 federal election, Chan became Deputy Leader of the Government in the House of Commons. Chan was known for his advocacy on behalf of the Armenian Canadian community, and chaired the Canada-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group.

Victor Reux (December 3, 1929 – June 3, 2016) was a French and Saint Pierre and Miquelon politician and teacher. He served in the French Senate, representing the overseas collectivity of Saint Pierre and Miquelon, for nine years from October 1, 1995, until September 30, 2004. Reux, a fixture in Saint Pierre and Miquelon politics, was a teacher before entering politics in the early 1980s. During his political career, Reux served on the French Commission of UNESCO, a local municipal councilor, and a member of the departmental council of Saint Pierre and Miquelon. He was also a member of the l’assemblée des parlementaires de la Francophonie and the France-Canada Friendship Group.

On 2 September 2013 President of the Cypriot House of Representatives Yiannakis Omirou and the Knesset Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein signed a protocol of cooperation between their countries' Parliaments. After the signing of the protocol Yiannakis Omirou expressed his enthusiasm for the setting up of a Cyprus-Israeli Friendship Group in the respective parliaments. In Beaufort, North Carolina, popular and rebellious high school senior Landon Carter and his friends have partaken in underage drinking on school grounds. The sculpture of Orme the Viking, Berwick HillsAs part of the Ormesby Beck landscaping project, in 2012, a large sculpture in the form of Orme the Viking was installed. The community artwork was made possible as part of the landscaping initiative undertaken by the Ormesby Beck Friendship Group with a Community Spaces grant from Groundwork UK. It was installed alongside realignment work by the Environment Agency to address flooding issues. Groundwork officer Judith Underwood and Berwick Hills community worker Catherine Hughes worked with staff and pupils at Berwick Hills Primary School to design the statue, along with its outfit and weapons, and a dragon themed seating in the beck area. The Viking symbolises the area's Viking history.

Embassy of Cyprus in Berlin There is close and trustful cooperation between the Republic of Cyprus and Germany at government level. Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle visited Cyprus on 22 and 23 July 2010 and Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel also paid a visit in Nicosia on 11 January 2011. Talks focused on developments in the ongoing negotiations between the two Cypriot communities on the island's reunification and Turkey's EU accession process. There is also lively exchange at parliamentary level. The German Bundestag's German-Cypriot Parliamentary Friendship Group visited Cyprus in October 2011 and the German Bundestag ’s Committee on the Affairs of the European Union visited the country in early July 2012 at the beginning of Cyprus’ EU Presidency.
He is the patron of the Tourette Syndrome Association of Australia and established the Parliamentary Friendship Group for Tourette Syndrome. In Parliament, Crewther was Chair of the Foreign and Aid Sub-Committee, under the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade, initiating and leading an inquiry into Australia establishing legislation to tackle modern slavery, similar to but improving upon the UK's 2015 Modern Slavery Act. The Sub-Committee handed down its final report in December 2017. Resulting from this Inquiry, a Modern Slavery Bill was introduced into Parliament in June 2018, was passed by the Australian House of Representatives on 17 September 2018, and passed the Australian Senate in December 2018.

Hoyer first became a member of the Bundestag in the 1987 elections, and served as chief whip from 1989 to 1993 and his party's spokesman for security policy from 1990 to 1994. FOSA was founded in December 2001 by a group of nine Pakistani Americans and Indian Americans, concerned that "the place we call home was full of war cries and that South Asia was on the brink of a war." Members organized candlelight vigils and letter-writing campaigns for peace, initially in collaboration with groups like the Sikh Qaumantri Punjabi Bhaichara (Punjabi International Friendship) Group of California. The local vigils grew out of a series of vigils for peace in South Asia held simultaneously in 18 cities around the world. In September 2013, President Maduro declared three US diplomats persona non grata for alleged conspiracy to overthrow him, a decision that received clear support from Kim's regime. North Korean ambassador to Venezuela Jon Yong Jin congratulated President of Venezuela to take that action and rejected the "interventionist policy directed by the United States through their embassies," warning that if the US government dared to engage in a military attack on Venezuela, North Korea would assist Venezuela. Both parties then decided to create the Friendship Group of Venezuela with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Shatter was the founder of the Ireland/Israel Parliamentary Friendship Group and acted as its chairperson for many years. In 1985 Shatter visited the Soviet Union together with his Fine Gael colleague, Senator Sean O’Leary, and met with various Jewish refusenik families who had been prevented from emigrating to Israel and were in substantial difficulties with some family members imprisoned and others fired from academic and scientific jobs and forced to engage in menial employment. Upon returning to Dublin Shatter and O’Leary published a report and held a press conference on their plight. The previous year on international human rights day Shatter proposed a Dail motion on the plight of Soviet Jewry which was passed and adopted by Dáil Éireann .

Osman Baydemir, the spokesperson of the HDP, called the conflict between the pro-PKK and pro- KDP forces a "civil war" that "has to stop". Similarly, Patriotic Union of Kurdistan deputy Kosrat Rasul Ali also condemned the infighting on both legal as well as moral grounds. Josef Weidenholzer, a Member of the European Parliament and chairman of the Yezidi Friendship Group, appealed the Rojava Peshmerga and the Sinjar Resistance Units to "stop all hostilities and solve political differences", also because any international support to either faction is dependent of "the peaceful solution of Intra-Kurdish problems". This event successfully combined the 6th session of the Canada-Russia IEC, co-chaired by Minister Emerson and Russian Agriculture Minister Alexey Gordeyev, and the second meeting of the Canada-Russia Business Council (CRBC). Interest and attendance from both sides were high with over 300 participants including special guests Vladislav Tretyak, the famed Russian goalie in the 1972 Canada Russia hockey summit, now Duma member and co-chair of the Canada Russia Parliamentary Friendship Group. The most recent Canada-Russia Business Summit was organized in Ottawa on June 1, 2011, by CERBA, in coordination with the Government of Canada and the Government of Russia. The event was co-chaired on the government level by the Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov and the Canadian Minister of International Trade Edward Fast.
As early as 19 June, Zhvania complained about Russia's violation of its peacekeeping agreement in the Tskhinvali region, arguing that "[t]he [Russian peacekeeping] mandate was violated, because Russian peacekeepers were transporting ammunition and they had to inform the Georgian authorities in advance about it." Zhvania was one of the co-authors of the major parliamentary resolution passed on 28 August 2008, declaring Abkhazia and South Ossetia to be "occupied territories" and asking the government to formally cut ties with Russia while annulling previous Russian peacekeeping agreements, a move that was initially opposed by President Saakashvili. The Boston Group was a parliamentary committee of the National Assembly of Venezuela financed by the Organization of American States (OAS) and created following the creation of the Venezuelan- American parliamentary friendship group, which in turn was created in 2002 after the coup d'état attempt. The group consisted of parliamentarians from the United States and Venezuela that agreed to meet outside the country to discuss important issues for both nations in a less polarized environment. Its objectives were to learn legislative practices, to establish and maintain a solid link between the United States Congress and the Venezuelan parliament, and to create an exchange of legislative information and cooperation in areas of common interest. Half of the Venezuelan members were opposition deputies and the other half were pro-government deputies.
She was on the executive on the Canada-Japan Inter-Parliamentary Group. She is also the former chair of the Canada-Australia-New Zealand Parliamentary Friendship Group, in addition to sitting on a number of other parliamentary groups. On May 15, 2009, Bergen introduced Bill C-391, An Act to Amend the Criminal Code and the Firearms Act, which would repeal the long-gun registry. On November 4, 2009, Bill C-391 passed second reading in the House of Commons by a vote of 164 to 137. On September 22, 2010, a Liberal motion to kill debate on Bill C-391 was passed 153–151, after six NDP MPs who backed Bergen's bill changed their votes, along with several Liberal MPs, enough to ensure the passage of the motion, keeping the registry alive.

Specifically, the ICAC sought to inquire whether, between 2012 and 2018, Maguire engaged in conduct that involved a breach of public trust by using his public office, involving his duties as a Member of Parliament, as a Parliamentary Secretary, and as Chair of the NSW Parliament Asia Pacific Friendship Group to improperly gain a benefit for himself and/or entities close to him. Appearing before the ICAC on 14 October 2020, Maguire admitted that he used his position as an Member of Parliament and as a Parliamentary Secretary to make money for himself and his associates. EFI held multiple conferences in the European Parliament dealing important issues on the Israeli-European agenda: On 29 November 2006, EFI held a press conference which dealt with "why the 3 Israeli Kidnapped Soldiers are not being released?" The Press Conference followed a private meeting between the representatives of the families of the three Israeli kidnapped soldiers and Members of the European Parliament who expressed their support for the families of the three Israeli kidnapped soldiers, Gilad Shalit, Udi Goldwasser and Eldad Regev. On 7 March 2007, it held a conference calling for "Economic Sanctions against Iran". In 2007, EFI led 3 separate missions to EU member states. During a 2 days mission to Portugal in January, EFI’s team met with the newly Portuguese Parliamentary Friendship Group with Israel.
Alongside Senator Catherine Troendle, Kraft served as co- chairwoman of the German-French Friendship Group set up by the German Bundesrat and the French Senate.
