The first occurrence of the eponymic use of Lagergren's name can be traced back to an article of Dietl ("Lagergren'sche Formel" on p. 800). The use of Lagergren's model gained a new impetus in the beginning of the 21st century largely with the advent of sorption-based technologies of water desalination. A citation review of Lagergren's equation counted about 170 papers citing Lagergren's original paper until 2004. Within 10 years, this number exhibited a twentyfold increase.

He won the Formula Ford Festival. In 2011, Lind entered only half the races of the 2011 ADAC Formel Masters season, but still finished tenth. He also finished sixth and eighth in the last weekend of the German F3 during the same year. He then competed in the Auto-G Danish Thundersport Championship (which is essentially Danish Touring Cars), coming second just behind his uncle Jan Magnussen in 2012 and then became DTC Champion of 2013.
This, also called the "Formel E", had an overdrive fourth and an even taller fifth gear, which combined with a freewheeling mechanism to provide better gas mileage but less impressive performance. Originally, this was the only five-speed transmission offered with the Passat B2. An automatic stop/start was also available in some markets. The four-wheel drive system used in the Passat Variant Syncro shared the mechanics of the Audi 80 quattro rather than the Volkswagen Golf Syncro.
The W125 Rekordwagen on display at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany. The Mercedes-Benz W125 Rekordwagen was an experimental, high-speed automobile produced in the late 1930s. The streamlined car was derived from the 1937 open-wheel race car Mercedes-Benz W125 Formel-Rennwagen, of which also a streamlined version was raced at the non-championship Avusrennen in Berlin. The main difference to the Grand Prix race car, which had to adhere to the limit, was the engine.
Her dissertation was supervised by Franz Exner and Hans Benndorf. Her thesis titled Prüfung einer Formel Maxwells ("Examination of Maxwell's Formula") was submitted on 28 November 1905, evaluated by Exner and Boltzmann, and approved on 28 November 1905. She became the second woman to earn a doctoral degree in physics, after Elsa Neumann who received the degree from the University of Berlin in 1899. Her thesis was published as Wärmeleitung in inhomogenen Körpern ("Thermal Conduction in Inhomogeneous Bodies") on 22 February 1906.
The 2014 ATS Formel 3 Cup was the 12th edition of the ATS F3 Cup. The season began on 26 April at Oschersleben and finished on 5 October at Hockenheim after eight race weekends with three races scheduled for each weekend. However, one race was cancelled due to fog, and thus the championship was held over a total of 23 races. Category veteran Markus Pommer finished the season as the champion, after comfortably winning the most races during the season.
Unlike its predecessor, however, top-of the line versions received five- cylinder Audi or VW engines of 1.9–2.2 litres. The 5-cylinder version was sold in the US as the Quantum GL-5. In addition to four- and five-speed manuals and three-speed automatic gearboxes, the Passat/Santana was also available with the VW concern's interesting 4+E transmission. This, also called the "Formel E" had a particularly high top gear, which combined with a freewheeling mechanism, provided better gas mileage.

Karlheinz Stockhausen composed a children's theatre piece for percussion sextet titled Musik im Bauch (Music in the Belly) in 1975, also for Les Percussions de Strasbourg, and in 2004 wrote a percussion trio titled Mittwoch Formel. The British composer and percussionist James Wood has contributed several works to the repertoire, including Stoicheia (1987–88), requiring over 600 instruments played by 16 percussionists, as well as electronics, Village Burial with Fire for percussion quartet (1989), and Spirit Festival with Lamentations, for quarter-tone marimba and four percussionists (1992).
During the 1990s, two more future Grand Prix winners graduated from the German F3 Championship – Ralf Schumacher and Jarno Trulli – together with many other notable drivers that include Alexander Wurz, Jos Verstappen, Norberto Fontana, Nick Heidfeld and Christijan Albers. In 2006, she started in the Benelux Formula Ford championship. Her first years in auto racing resulted in a fair number of crashes, but also a fair share of success."In het spoor van Opa Ferrari", De Telegraaf, July 19, 2008 In 2008, she started racing in the ATS Formel 3 Trophy for the HS Technik Motorsport-team in a Dallara F304 OPC Challenge. In the first 8 races of her debut season, she finished on the podium 4 times: two times in 3rd place and two times in 2nd place.
A 1.05-liter supercharged petrol four was also used, coupled to a four-speed automatic with a freewheel function. The Auto 2000 was one of the first to feature Volkswagen's Stop-Start technology, allowing the car to save a considerable amount of gasoline in city driving. A flywheel was used to help start the motor again quickly. This was another feature that was to find its way into production cars, first in some of Volkswagen's own "Formel E" models and later spreading into a large share of all cars sold in Europe.
Formula LO, previously known formally as LO Formel Lista Junior, was an open wheel racing series based in mainland Europe, which often ran as a support series to the Formula Renault 2.0 Switzerland. The first season was in 2000 and is based in Switzerland, and governed by the country's National Motorsport Authority. Because motorsports are essentially banned in Switzerland, the racing takes place on circuits in surrounding nations such as France, Italy and Germany. Many of the drivers go on to race in Formula Three and especially to the closely linked Formula BMW series.
In 1972, with Hilti support, he won the Formel Super Vau Castrol Trophy series and the International Castrol GTX Trophy, and was elected Sportsman of the year in Liechtenstein. His entry in Formula 2 was expensive but the car was not competitive. In 1976, after testing a similar Williams-F1 in Goodwood, the 34-year-old switched to touring car and sportscar racing, like the German Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft series, where he won three events. In 1980 he competed in the BMW M1 Procar Championship, winning once, on the AVUS in Berlin.

While working as a choreographer on Formel Eins in the 1980s, Harrison worked with major artists like C.C. Catch, La Toya Jackson, Kim Wilde, Paula Abdul, Natalie Cole, Milli Vanilli and many other performers. He was chosen to represent the country at the 1984 Cannes Film Festival premiere of the breakdance film Beat Street. Harrison also landed a cameo role as a dancer in the 1985 cult German film 'Macho Man'. When he entered the music business in 1986, he made a tradition of choreographing his own live act when performing with his team of backup dancers.
Before creating the Captain Hollywood Project in 1990, creator Tony Dawson-Harrison was a dancer, choreographer and music star in Europe. A native of Newark, New Jersey, Harrison originally gained his stage name in 1982 while stationed in Germany as a U.S. Army captain. During his off-duty hours, he would entertain his military friends on base by performing street dance moves in his captain's uniform. As a result, his fellow officers nicknamed him ‘Hollywood’ and later ‘Captain Hollywood.’ Harrison's career began in 1983 after his television debut as Captain Hollywood on the German music chart television show Formel Eins.
The latest technologies to improve efficiency are engine downsizing and automatic engine stop-start. Automatic engine stop-start systems like VWs BlueMotion, shut the engine down when the car is stopped to reduce idling emissions and boost economy, and it is now mandatory not to idle unnecessarily in cities in Germany. It is an updated version of the 1980s VW 'Formel E' system that was developed into the 1990s VW 'Ecomatic' system. The application of turbo-charging to downsized engines is one way to achieve efficiency benefits into fuel economy and emission benefits instead of for performance.
By the end of May, he had completed the orchestra work but had decided that the first movement (which would later be published separately under the title Formel) was too melodic and motivic. Consequently, he posted the remaining two movements, now titled Spiel, to Rosbaud in place of the single movement previously sent him (, 50). At the end of September Stockhausen travelled to Donaueschingen for rehearsals and the world premiere. Stockhausen himself played the piano part, and during the final rehearsals got the impression that Rosbaud would be glad if the piece could be considerably shortened.
Van Dam on the Formula Three Euroseries at the Hockenheimring (2009) Van Dam moved up to Formula Three for 2007, competing for Van Amersfoort Racing in the ATS Formel 3 Cup. He was a runaway winner of the championship, clinching the title with a round to spare at the Sachsenring, amassing sixteen podiums from the eighteen races. He also became the youngest championship winner in its history, however this has since been surpassed by Laurens Vanthoor, who won the 2009 championship. Van Dam also tested a GP2 Series car at the end of the season, as a result of winning the title.
Carbon monoxide emissions and the fuel shortage/oil crisis of the 1970s pushed car manufacturers to find solutions to reduce gas consumption. The first vehicle to use the automatic on/off switch was the six-cylinder Toyota Crown in 1974 and was already claiming a 10-percent gas saving in traffic. In the 1980s, the Fiat Regata "ES" with the City-matic system and Volkswagen Polo "Formel E" also used a similar technology. The Volkswagen Group also adopted it in the Golf Ecomatic in 1994 and in the Volkswagen Lupo "3L" and the Audi A2 "3L" in 1999.
Volkswagen began using start-stop systems with the Polo Formel E with SSA around 1983, after having previewed the system on the 1981 Auto 2000 research car. Later the LUPO 3L, and after that in the Polo, Golf and Passat BlueMotion, which also include weight and aerodynamic improvements. The system is now commonplace in the Volkswagen range, fitted to all vehicles with the Bluemotion Technology package, though certain other models have the technology too. For the Lupo 3L, with an automated manual gearbox and clutch, the engine stops four seconds after the car becomes stationary with the driver's foot on the brake pedal.
The 2012 ATS Formel 3 Cup was the tenth edition of the German F3 Cup and the inaugural edition with one-make Volkswagen Power Engines. The Cup class is open for cars built between 2008 and 2011 and equipped with the new Volkswagen engine, while cars built between 2002 and 2007 with conventional Formula Three engines will race in the Trophy class. The season began on 4 May at Circuit Park Zandvoort and ended on 30 September at Hockenheim after nine race weekends, totalling 27 races. Lotus driver Jimmy Eriksson became the first and only Swedish driver to win the championship.
The fotmal (, "foot-measure"; ), also known as the foot ('), formel, fontinel, and fotmell, was an English unit of variable weight particularly used in measuring production, sales, and duties of lead. __NOTOC__ Under the Assize of Weights and Measures, it was equal to 70 Merchants' pounds and made up of a load of lead.. & & Elsewhere, it was made of 70 avoirdupois pounds and made up load. According to Kiernan, in 16th-century Derbyshire, the fotmal was divided into "boles" and made up of a fother, meaning it was considered to be 84 avoirdupois pounds. It continued to be used until the 16th century.
The 2010 Michelin Formula Renault UK Winter Series was the 13th British Formula Renault Winter Series. The series commenced at Snetterton on 6 November and ended at Pembrey on 14 November, after six races at three rounds held in England and Wales. Fortec Motorsport again took honours for the Series, as main season Graduate Cup winner Alex Lynn won the title after winning three of the six races to be held. He finished 17 points clear of teammate Joni Wiman, who made his Formula Renault début during the series having competed in ADAC Formel Masters, and claimed a victory at Pembrey.
Daniel Abt (born 3 December 1992) is a German racing driver. He has competed in such series as the German Formula Three Championship, the GP3 Series, the GP2 Series, and won the 2009 ADAC Formel Masters championship. He competed in the first four rounds of the 2019–20 Formula E season with ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport, however he was dismissed from the team after being found to be using a ringer driver in the sport's subsequent virtual races. He will be competing the remainder of the season in Ma Qinghua's seat at NIO 333 FE Team.
The team took a second win on the streets of Monaco, with Bird finishing ahead of Kevin Ceccon after a fourteen-car pile-up on the opening lap forced nine drivers out of the race. In 2014, the team made their debut in GP3 Series, taking Bamboo Engineering's slot and continue to participate in GP2, German Formula Three and ADAC Formel Masters. The team's preparations for the 2014 season were disrupted by the death of Mazepa from complications relating to thrombosis in February 2014. Following this, Motopark Academy ended their partnership with team, leaving their participation in the 2014 GP2 and GP3 seasons in limbo.
In 2006, she moved up to the Formel 3 Cup, finishing in 9th place and winning the pole position at EuroSpeedway Lausitz. The following year she drove in the Formula 3 Euro Series for British team Manor Motorsport racing a Dallara-Mercedes, but despite participating in all 20 races, failed to score points and was not classified in the season standings. In 2008, Allemann signed to race in Firestone Indy Lights series for American Spirit Racing. She would go on to finish 14th in the final points standings with her best result being a 4th place in the second race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Course in July.
It is divided into five parts, corresponding to the first three scenes and two main divisions of the last scene of the opera. The three full formula layers rotate in each of these five sections, with the dominant upper line occupied in turn by the Lucifer, Eve, Michael, Eve, and Michael formulas. This complete formula is stated three times, each time 2:3 times faster than the time before, and each time with the layers given a different timbral colour . Like the preceding and following pieces, Klavierstück XVIII also exists in a version for percussion—in this case, a percussion trio titled Mittwoch Formel für drei Schlagzeuger.
Formel (1982) La Ferté-Vidame passed to the Grimaldi family when Saint-Simon's grand- daughter married a younger son of Jacques I, Prince of Monaco. In 1764 La Ferté-Vidame was bought by Jean-Joseph de Laborde (1724–1794), a very wealthy businessman, who became a fermier général, politician and banker to the king. Laborde built the neo-classical mansion (architect Antoine Matthieu Le Carpentier, from 1771) whose ruined shell remains today. In politics, he was ahead of his time and of the French Revolution, and (with Mirabeau) was one of the only noble députés (from the bailliage d'Étampes) to accept demotion to the Third Estate upon the Revolution.
François de Vendôme was wealthy and well- connected, his properties including the imposing medieval Château de la Ferté Vidame, built by the Vendômes. He also claimed the title "prince de Chabannais", but was and is usually known as the Vidame de Chartres. He distinguished himself as an infantry commander in the battle of Ceresole in Piedmont on 11 April 1544, during the Italian War of 1542–46,de Pétigny, 330; Formel-Levavasseur, 54–56 a French victory over the Habsburgs, which their commander Francis, Count of Enghien, a cousin of François de Vendôme, failed to follow up by taking Milan. Aside from his Euro Series commitments, Dillmann raced in the final three meetings of the German Formula Three Championship with Neuhauser Racing; joining the series at the Nürburgring. Dillmann was on the pace immediately, taking pole position for the second race of the weekend; he finished both races on the podium, with a third place and a victory in the second race. Dillmann also won races at the Sachsenring and Oschersleben, to finish sixth in the drivers' championship, having competed in just six races. Dillmann competed full-time in German Formula Three in the 2010 Formel 3 season, moving to the HS Technik team.
Klavierstück XIV, also called Geburtstags-Formel (Birthday Formula), was composed from 7–8 August 1984 in Kürten as a 60th- birthday gift for Pierre Boulez, to whom the score is dedicated. The premiere was played by Pierre-Laurent Aimard in a birthday concert for Boulez on 31 March 1985 in Baden-Baden. With the addition in 1987 of a part for girls' choir, it became act 2, scene 2 of Montag aus Licht . Two months before composing this first component part of Montag aus Licht, Stockhausen said: > I have had the feeling for some time that Monday will be very different—very > new for me too, because I have the feeling Monday is the reverse, because > it's the birth.
In 2009 he began his formula racing career by competing in the ADAC Formel Masters series for the Abt Sportsline team. Whilst his teammate Daniel Abt won the championship, Binder finished the season in seventh position with three podium finishes. Binder then moved up to the German Formula Three Championship: in 2010, he drove for Motopark Academy and finished in twelfth place in the championship, with a best result of third position; 2011 saw him move to the Jo Zeller Racing team,Wunschkandidat bei Zeller Racing (Motorsport-xl.de; 26 March 2011) for whom he improved to eighth place despite missing a round of the championship; and for the 2012 season he is driving for the Van Amersfoort Racing team.
"Procedural law" in contrast to "substantive law" is a concept available in various legal systems and languages. Similar to the English expressions are the Spanish words derecho adjetivo and derecho material or derecho sustantivo, as well as the Portuguese terms for them, direito adjetivo and direito substantivo. Other ideas are behind the German expressions formelles Recht (or Verfahrensrecht) and materielles Recht as well as the French droit formel/droit matériel, the Italian diritto formale/diritto materiale and the Swedish formell rätt/materiell rätt; all of which, taken literally, mean "formal" and "material" law. The same opposition can be found in the Russian legal vocabulary, with материальное право for substantive law and процессуальное право for procedural.
Ernst Erich Jacobsthal (16 October 1882, Berlin – 6 February 1965, Überlingen) was a German mathematician, and brother to the archaeologist Paul Jacobsthal. In 1906, he earned his PhD at the University of Berlin, where he was a student of Georg Frobenius, Hermann Schwarz and Issai Schur; his dissertation, Anwendung einer Formel aus der Theorie der quadratischen Reste (Application of a Formula from the Theory of Quadratic Remainders), provided a proof that prime numbers of the form 4n + 1 are the sum of two square numbers. In 1934, he was fired from his professorship at the Technische Hochschule Berlin, because of his Jewish origins. In 1939 he fled to Norway and became after the war a professor at the technical university of Trondheim.
Klavierstück XVIII, subtitled "Mittwoch-Formel" (2004) is, like the preceding piece, for "electronic piano" (in this case specifically defined as "synthesizer"), but has no tape part. After the freedom accorded/demanded of the preceding two pieces, Klavierstück XVIII returns to completely determinate notation for the keyboardist. It also returns to the clear presentation of the Licht superformula on the surface level, whose absence starting with Klavierstück XV has been noted . Similar to Klavierstück XIV, this is a simple presentation of the formula, though in this case the four-layered version Stockhausen developed for the composition of Mittwoch aus Licht, consisting of the complete superformula superimposed on a statement of just the Wednesday segment (which, as it happens, only has notes in the Eve layer).
A G-Lader would later be used on the larger and more technically challenging G60 engine used in the Golf and Corrado. An extremely fuel-efficient two-cylinder diesel was prototyped in the mid-1980s with a G40 supercharger to overcome its small capacity, although this did not make production. A high-fuel-efficiency model which did make production was Formel E (E for Economy), introduced in 1983. This used a high-compression 1272 cc engine, longer gear ratios and an early- stop-start ignition system (called SSA) that would cut the engine when idle for more than two seconds to save fuel whilst temporarily stopped in traffic, and restart the engine when the gear lever was moved to the left in neutral.
Freedom of speech and freedom of the press in Denmark are ensured by § 77 of the constitution:"Kapitel VIII" (Part 8), Danmarks Riges Grundlov (Grundloven) (Danish Constitution) (in Danish). (English translation) :Anyone is entitled to in print, writing and speech to publish his or hers thoughts, yet under responsibility to the courts. Censorship and other preventive measures can never again be introduced. There's widespread agreement in Danish legal theory that § 77 protects what is called "formal freedom of speech" (formel ytringsfrihed), meaning that one cannot be required to submit one's speech for review by authorities before publishing or otherwise disseminating it. However, there is disagreement about whether or not § 77 covers "material freedom of speech" (materiel ytringsfrihed), the right to not be punished for ones speech.
The Radbruch formula (German: Radbruchsche Formel) is a theory of law which was first formulated in a 1946 essay by the German law professor and politician Gustav Radbruch. According to the theory, a judge who encounters a conflict between a statute and what he perceives as just, has to decide against applying the statute if – and only if – the legal concept behind the statute in question seems either "unbearably injust" or in "deliberate disregard" of human equality before the law. Radbruch's formula is rooted in the situation of a civil law system. It is believed to be a reaction to Radbruch's experience of the judiciary in Nazi Germany and has been applied in the decision of courts in the Federal Republic of Germany numerous times.
In Denmark Cunningham started as fish cook and became head chef at Søllerød Kro, which during his time there acquired one of the first Michelin stars awarded in the country, then at , where he trained , and at Coquus and Plaza before becoming co-owner and chef at The Paul, located in Glassalen, the glass pavilion at Tivoli in Copenhagen. Refslund followed him when he left Formel B, becoming his assistant at The Paul before leaving for Noma. The park had had a reputation for poor food; at The Paul, Cunningham became a celebrity chef, cooking for Margrethe II of Denmark, Helena Christensen, and for Bill Clinton, Paris Hilton and Metallica when they visited Denmark. The restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in 2003, nine months after opening.
182 vehicles took the start of the inaugural rally in Paris, with 74 surviving the trip to the Senegalese capital of Dakar. Cyril Neveu holds the distinction of being the event's first winner, riding a Yamaha motorcycle. The event rapidly grew in popularity, with 216 vehicles taking the start in 1980 and 291 in 1981. The privateer spirit of early racers defying the desert with limited resources encouraged such entrants as Thierry de Montcorgé in a Rolls-Royce and Formel 1 driver Jacky Ickx with actor Claude Brasseur in a Citroën CX, in the 1981 race won by two-time winner Hubert Auriol. In 1982, there were 382 racers, more than double the amount that took the start in 1979.

He endured a frustrating Asia series, afflicted by technical problems which left him last in the drivers' championship, before announcing that he did not have a budget to compete in the main series, and would henceforth be stepping back to the ATS Formel 3 Cup. He then, however, secured a last-minute temporary GP2 deal with Carlin, only to crash in qualifying for the first round of the season in Turkey, injuring metacarpals in both hands which prevented him from racing. He returned to action for the following round of the championship at Catalunya, but was then replaced by Oliver Turvey as his money ran out. After eight races on the sidelines, he returned to racing action with Carlin at the Hungaroring.
In 1974–75, German composer Karlheinz Stockhausen composed Tierkreis, a set of twelve pieces on the signs of the zodiac, for twelve music boxes.Peter Andraschke, "Kompositorische Tendenzen bei Karlheinz Stockhausen seit 1965", in Zur Neuen Einfachheit in der Musik, Studien zur Wertungsforschung 14, edited by Otto Kolleritsch, 126–43 (Vienna and Graz: Universal Edition [for the Institut für Wertungsforschung an der Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz], 1981). .Giuliano d'Angiolini, "Tierkreis, oeuvre pour instrument mélodique et/ou harmonique: un tournant dans le parcours musical de Stockhausen", Analyse Musicale (1989, 1er trimestre): 68–73.Hermann Conen, Formel-Komposition: Zu Karlheinz Stockhausens Musik der siebziger Jahre, Kölner Schriften zur Neuen Musik 1, edited by Johannes Fritsch and Dietrich Kämper. Using ' → ' instead of ' ⊢ ' and ' ⊃ ' instead of ' ⇒ ', he wrote: "The sequent A1, ..., Aμ → B1, ..., Bν signifies, as regards content, exactly the same as the formula (A1 & ... & Aμ) ⊃ (B1 ∨ ... ∨ Bν)".. : 2.4. Die Sequenz A1, ..., Aμ → B1, ..., Bν bedeutet inhaltlich genau dasselbe wie die Formel ::: (A1 & ... & Aμ) ⊃ (B1 ∨ ... ∨ Bν). (Gentzen employed the right-arrow symbol between the antecedents and consequents of sequents. He employed the symbol ' ⊃ ' for the logical implication operator.) In 1939, Hilbert and Bernays stated likewise that a sequent has the same meaning as the corresponding implication formula.. : Für die inhaltliche Deutung ist eine Sequenz ::: A1, ..., Ar → B1, ..., Bs, : worin die Anzahlen r und s von 0 verschieden sind, gleichbedeutend mit der Implikation ::: (A1 & ... & Ar) → (B1 ∨ ... ∨ Bs) In 1944, Alonzo Church emphasized that Gentzen's sequent assertions did not signify provability.
Team Motorhome built in Germany in 2009 ArtTech cars at Oschersleben, 2009 Since 2009 ArtLine moved to the Deutsche Formel-3-ATS-Cup which succeeded the German F3 Championship, one of the most prestigious European series. As ArtTech model chosen for German Cup was designed and built in 2004, the team, following the Cup regulations, had entered to Trophy League of the series where only old cars were permitted. However, from the middle of season the team leader Sergei Chukanov competed within the top 10 rivals, leaving other Trophy cars far behind. Another fast driver Jesse Krohn was invited to the team, and on the 11th stage in Assen ArtTech cars qualified 2nd and 3rd overall. Finished 5th and 7th, ArtLine drivers brought the first points to the team in the “League A” scoring.
After participating in a motorcycle race the company's founder Johann Abt started his racing career and the motorsports career of the company in general. Today Abt Sportsline is one of the most successful motorsports teams and has won several championships in the most important German racing series, like the Super Touring Car Cup (1999), the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM; titles in 2002, 2004, 2007, 2008 and 2009) and the ADAC GT Masters (titles in 2009 and 2010). Since 2004 Abt Sportsline is one of the official factory teams of Audi under the name of Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline. The most successful year in motorsports for Abt Sportsline was 2009, receiving honors in three racing series at once: the DTM with Timo Scheider, the ADAC GT Masters with Christian Abt and the ADAC Formel Masters with Daniel Abt.
The modern-day Formula 3 Euro Series was inaugurated in 2003 in a collaboration between two of Europe's national governing bodies for motorsport – the Fédération Française du Sport Automobile (FFSA) in France and the Deutscher Motor Sport Bund (DMSB) in Germany. The new partnership between the FFSA and DMSB spelled the end of national Formula Three in France with the closure of the French Formula Three Championship, but Germany's national championship was effectively supplanted by the creation of the Recaro Formel 3 Cup, though the DMSB initially attempted to block its creation. This lower-status series was formed by ADAC, the F3V (Germany's Formula Three Association) and a few key German teams (such as Bertram Schäfer Racing) that chose not to participate in the new Euro Series. BSR's owner Bertram Schäfer acts as the series' promoter.
A 60 mm G-Lader would later be used on the larger and more technically challenging G60 engine used in the Golf and Corrado. A fuel efficient two-cylinder diesel was prototyped in the mid 1980s with a G40 supercharger to overcome its small capacity, although this did not make it to production. A high fuel efficiency model which did make production was the petrol-engined Formel E (E for Economy), introduced at the launch in 1981 with a 1.1-litre engine and from 1983 with a 1.3-litre engine, overdrive top-gear ratio and an early stop-start ignition system (called "SSA") which would cut the engine when idle for more than two seconds to save fuel whilst temporarily stopped in traffic, and restart the engine on moving the gear lever to the left in neutral.
All of these ratios are derived from the 5:4 major third, and the resulting timbral combinations resemble the pleasant chiming of a crystal goblet or the combination of vibraphone and glockenspiel—sounds which Stockhausen had previously employed in 1952, in his orchestral compositions Spiel and Formel, respectively . Studie I is composed with "groups". Like the table of pitches, these groups are also constructed from sets of six numbers so that, for example, the first six "vertical" groups of the composition contain 4, 5, 3, 6, 2, and 1 notes each. Stockhausen calls these note groups "note mixtures", and extrapolates the same grouping principle to the formal structure of the entire work: successive note mixtures form horizontal sequences, groups of these sequences form "structures", and these structures are organized into one large "group series" that produces a unifying proportion series for the entire work .
Since , there had been two Grands Prix every year in Germany; the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim, plus either the European Grand Prix or the Luxembourg Grand Prix at the Nürburgring. From 2007, the Nürburgring and Hockenheimring alternated hosting the German Grand Prix, starting with the Nürburgring in 2007. Kimi Räikkönen at the Nordkurve during the 2014 German Grand Prix Ongoing deficits of the Formula One races, amounting to up to 5.3 million Euro per race that had to be covered by the local communities, made it likely the contract between the Hockenheimring and Formula One Management would not be extended after the Grand Prix of 2010.Hockenheim muss um Formel 1 bangen Focus Online, 12 September 2008 However, in October 2009 the contract for the circuit to hold the German GP was extended to 2018, with the FOA agreeing to cover any losses the event incurs.
However, this was not enough to save him from being guillotined under the "loi des suspects" on the orders of Louis de Saint-Just, in one of the last fits of the Reign of Terror in May 1794.Formel (1990); Bardet, Jean-Pierre (ed), Etat et société en France aux XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles: Mélanges offerts à Yves Durand, 181–184, 2000, Presses Paris Sorbonne, , 9782840501510, google books After only 20 years the estate was sold to Louis Jean Marie de Bourbon, Duke of Penthièvre (1725–1793), grandson of Louis XIV of France by Louis Alexandre, Count of Toulouse, his legitimized son with Madame de Montespan (and incidentally, along with his brother, especially detested by Saint-Simon). The sale was in 1784 for 5.5 million francs, a very large sum.Formel-Levavasseur, 41 The duke died of natural causes in 1793, the last vidame of the Ancien regime.
Despite the fact that F3 is still an open formula for which any chassis builder or engine tuner can supply a product provided that it meets the technical regulations, most championships have just one de facto choice of chassis supplier – usually Dallara – and two or three popular engine suppliers – usually Mugen-Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Spiess-Opel, or TOM's-Toyota. The Formel 3 Cup has bucked this trend to become one of the most eclectic F3 championships in the world, with some of the variety that F3 enjoyed in the 1970s. In addition to the ubiquitous Dallaras, the Lola B06/30 and the SLC R1 from Signature have established a foothold. The SLC, which was the Signature team's first foray into chassis construction, had previously competed in the F3 Euroseries in 2005, but Signature chose not to continue using it. The Lola, which was developed after the British company's collaboration with Dome came to an end, has otherwise had only limited use in British F3 during 2006.
"The series is not an order of succession, but indeed a hierarchy—which may be independent of this order of succession" (, 18, translated in ). Rules of analysis derived from twelve-tone theory do not apply to serialism of the second type: "in particular the ideas, one, that the series is an intervallic sequence, and two, that the rules are consistent" . For example, Stockhausen's early serial works, such as Kreuzspiel and Formel, "advance in unit sections within which a preordained set of pitches is repeatedly reconfigured ... The composer's model for the distributive serial process corresponds to a development of the Zwölftonspiel of Josef Matthias Hauer" . Goeyvaerts's Nummer 4 > provides a classic illustration of the distributive function of seriality: 4 > times an equal number of elements of equal duration within an equal global > time is distributed in the most equable way, unequally with regard to one > another, over the temporal space: from the greatest possible coïncidence to > the greatest possible dispersion.
