A gunfight ensues but Clemmons's men ride in on camelback, rescuing their leaders, and ride off before the outlaws can get to their horses. That night, Clemmons discovers they have lost the camel carrying all but one of their water barrels. Although Clemmons believes they can find water in the mountains, Tibbs insists they follow the map to the next waterhole. After two days of riding, they discover the hole is dry, and they are out of water.

Hymn to the Immortal Wind is the fifth studio album by Japanese post-rock band Mono, released 24 March 2009 on Temporary Residence Limited. The album was recorded and mixed in June and November 2008 at the Electrical Audio Recording Studios, Chicago, Illinois, by Steve Albini. A music video for "Follow the Map" was released to promote the album. This is a concept album, and there is a short story enclosed with the CD to go along with the music.

Jack awakes in a field of wheat, where he finds Bobby, who tends to his wounds after he loses consciousness again. While adapting to the advances of modern technology (such as a television), Jack is told of an old buried treasure map by Bobby, and demands they follow the map. Bobby explains that his grandfather explained to him the story, and that the map is written in some unknown code. Jack says that the map is in "Adventurer's Code", in which he is fluent.

The two immediately begin to follow the map, and quickly find the treasure buried under an old tool shed. Shortly after uncovering the treasure, another vortex in time is opened, and the rest of Jack's mutinied crew is deposited. The crew quickly learn of the treasure, and open attack on Jack and Bobby, who are forced to defend the house and the treasure. After Bobby, who has by now become close friends with Jack, is captured and held in ransom, Jack is forced to hand over what is believed to be the treasure.

The four agree to follow the map together, eventually learning that the map leads to the mythic sword and that either Charcoal Head or Blockhead is the Star of Rex. The journey takes them through dangerous terrain, culminating in an encounter with the Lord of Armour (Jackie Chan) who guards the way to the sword. Even as the four make their way toward the sword, the queen is preparing for their destruction, using her army and her powerful magic. A final battle will decide the fate of the land.

Two slave brothers, African-American Levi (Anthony Scott) and albino Sunshine (Chris Robinson), discover a treasure map while digging on the plantation of their master Striker (Ted Cassidy). Though Striker initially takes the map from them, they take it back and escape, determined to find the treasure in order to set themselves free. Striker pursues them, eventually stopping at a seedy bar to recruit helpers who will aid him in his pursuit; he recruits a mysterious bounty hunter, as well as the bartender (Robert Leslie). The two slaves follow the map continuously through the woods and swamps, regularly confronting and escaping various dangers from snakes to a group of rednecks.

Upon returning from her father, already in times of peace, the Russians invaded North Korea and the whole family was forced to leave that country. After unearthing the ashes of Miko, they must board a train that will take them further south of the 38th parallel, where the Americans are. However, they are forced to abandon it halfway to escape an inspection of the North Koreans. Another of the setbacks with which they have to face is the disorientation to walk on unknown roads, which causes them to move in circles throughout the day, but manage to follow the map drawn by the stars in the sky.

At Twilight Sparkle's new castle, she and her friends sit on their respective thrones and unwittingly activate a holographic map of Equestria, with floating images of their cutie marks pointing to a remote location on it. Deciding to investigate, the six friends follow the map to find a utopian village of ponies who share the same cutie mark, a black equals sign. The six become wary of the villagers' exaggerated smiles and overly welcoming nature, except for Fluttershy, who is charmed by their courtesy. The six meet the village's leader, Starlight Glimmer, who explains that all the villagers have given up their cutie marks under her philosophy that differing talents and opinions cause strife between friends.

Sheldon falls into the blast crater the rocket made and finds a glowing medallion attached to a journal. Upon picking up the journal, he and Wilshire learn about Victor Frankenswine and his backstory: one Halloween night many years ago, he created an all-powerful monster that could "rival the gods", but his castle was raided by an angry mob of peasants. Frankenswine managed to launch his journal through a window, but was struck by lightning and killed while fleeing the mob. Now that Wilshire and Sheldon have found the lost journal, if they follow the map imprinted on Sheldon's tongue, they can win an instant camera, a scooter, a tote bag, or Frankenswine's all-powerful monster.

The community aimed at teaching citizen cartographers how to map features on Map Maker, provided a ground for discussion about local conventions and engaged in discussions about how to best represent the country digitally to the world by means of Google Maps. Many of the Internet users in Bangladesh do not have mastery of English, as such many of the local mappers could not follow the Map Maker Help section in English given by Map Maker. Being the first ever Map Maker based community in Bangladesh, Mapping Bangladesh created a site composed fully in local language (Bengali) with illustrated tutorials, pictorials and videos for mappers to understand better how Map Maker works and how to use this online tool. Creation of the local Map Maker based tutorial site led to some serious mapping activity across the country increasing the number of members of the community from just a few to several hundred as of 2013.
