In 1894, Crow Flies High resigned as chief. It happened just before Fort Buford soldiers and Hidatsa scouts escorted him and 125 Hidatsa, 23 Mandan and 1 Arikara to the agency. Some Hidatsa would later blame the soldiers for seemingly ignoring "all our men who had gone out and been scouts for them". The people, now under the leadership of Long Bear, traveled in a long line.

He and his followers settled near the military post Fort Buford. Ordered away in 1884, they built a new village of sheds near the mouth of Little Knife River. By keeping a low profile while hunting small game in the area, the band managed largely to stay outside the reservation system until 1894. Crow Flies High chose to reject the leadership of the traditional ceremonial elders.

The Hidatsa had never fought the U.S. Army and the garrison accepted them in the area. The new settlement consisted mostly of log cabins, earth lodges, and a number of families dug storage pits. In 1886, Crow Flies High described the early years in the settlement near Garden Coulee. "We subsisted ourselves by hunting Buffalo and Deer ... and selling our hides at Fort Buford".

The village population climbed to 240 inhabitants. The commander wanted the settlement closed. A few earlier attempts to motivate Crow Flies High to leave Fort Buford Military Reservation and stay on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation had failed. This was more than 60 years before the expedition of Lewis and Clark. It was on this 1742-43 expedition that the Vérendrye brothers were thought to have camped at Crowhigh Butte (now called Crow Flies High Butte) in North Dakota. This 565 foot high butte dominates the surrounding plains and is an ideal vantage point. In 1917 the state historical society was instrumental in getting the butte and surrounding area proclaimed a national monument.

A stocky bird, this forest crow is found on the island of Hispaniola (Haiti and Dominican Republic). It was formerly native to Puerto Rico, but is extirpated there due to considerable forest clearance and hunting. This is an uncommon species with a wide distribution across Africa. In tropical West Africa it occurs in Senegal, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo and Nigeria, in Central Africa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan, western Kenya and Tanzania, and in southern Africa it occurs in Mozambique, Malawi and eastern Zimbabwe. The Seeder vessels are slow-moving, predictable, and easily destroyed, but as the game progresses they are supported by increasing numbers of flying support craft, which do not scatter said virus but instead attack the player.

The painting depicts the capture of Prince Diponegoro, a Javanese noble and major leader in the Java War, by Lieutenant General Hendrik Merkus de Kock on 28 March 1830. The arrest is portrayed from a Dutch colonial perspective, with Diponegoro abandoning his followers and submitting peacefully to a confident De Kock as the Dutch flag flies high above the lieutenant general's home. Diponegoro stands a step below De Kock, who is pointing towards the carriage which will take the guerrilla leader into exile. Diponegoro's soldiers leave their weapons on the ground, following their leader's submission; some throw themselves to the ground in front of him.

Judas O (also known as Judas Ø) is a collection of B-sides and rarities by The Smashing Pumpkins. Initially released as free downloadable tracks by the band, it was ultimately packaged as a bonus disc in a limited-edition printing of the greatest hits collection Rotten Apples. The songs are from the Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Adore, and Machina/The Machines of God recording sessions, and some tracks can be found on The Aeroplane Flies High, and Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music. Judas Ø is considered to be the sister album to Pisces Iscariot, a collection of B-sides and rarities from the Gish and Siamese Dream era.

Unlike most singles, "Zero" was released as an EP and included "Pastichio Medley", a medley of parts of songs from the Mellon Collie sessions that mostly remain unreleased. The medley runs almost 23 minutes long and features over 70 songs. The medley also features snippets of songs that actually were released; the snippet of the song "Disconnected" is a riff from an early version of "The Aeroplane Flies High (Turns Left, Looks Right)" (originally B-side from the "Thirty-Three" single) and the riff called "Rachel" ended up being worked into the album track "X.Y.U." Eventually, 2012's reissue of Mellon Collie saw a number of tracks from the "Medley" released in full versions.
