"Grand Unification Part 1" is the second single from the Fightstar album Grand Unification. There are two videos to this song. One of the videos is a mixture of Fightstar playing in a, what would seem to be some sort of cave or room, as well as scenes from Dragonball Z. The second video is the band playing in the same sort of cave/room but without the Dragonball Z scenes. It has since been revealed that the location used was the same as that used by The Prodigy in the controversial video for their song Firestarter, and this has been interpreted as a tribute on the part of Fightstar to The Prodigy.

"Money Jane" is a song recorded by Canadian DJ group Baby Blue Soundcrew featuring Canadian rapper Kardinal Offishall, Jamaican musician Sean Paul, and Canadian singer-songwriter Jully Black. It was released by Universal Music Canada in 2000, and was the first single from the group's debut studio compilation album Private Party Collectors Edition; a remix was included on Offishall's 2001 album Quest for Fire: Firestarter, Vol. 1. "Money Jane" is a Canadian hip hop and dancehall song with lyrics about a wealthy woman who provides financial and material support for her male companion. The song is noted for its influence on Toronto's hip hop music scene, and is credited with launching Paul's international music career.
In 1996, the Prodigy rose to fame outside their native UK with "Firestarter", the lead single from The Fat of the Land which was released in 1997 and topped several charts, including the Billboard 200. The band ended the tour that promoted the album, taking a break from touring and recording and writing material for their fourth studio album. To coincide with the departure of Leeroy Thornhill during the period, the band shut down their official website for over two years, with its home page replaced with a logo of the band and the text "We will be back" set against a black background, leading to rumours that the band went on hiatus. The website was relaunched prior to releasing a new single in 2002.
Offishall, Black, and Baby Blue Soundcrew member Kid Kut initially met through Fresh Arts, a jobs program implemented by the government of Ontario in the wake of the early 1990s recession that provided funding and education for young and emerging artists in the province. "Money Jane" was originally written and produced by Offishall for his second album, 2001's Quest for Fire: Firestarter, Vol. 1. At the suggestion of Kid Kut and Baby Blue Soundcrew member KLC, the song was rearranged to include Paul, who at the time was largely unknown outside of his native Jamaica and Jamaican diasporic communities. Kid Kut believed that Paul's lyrical and performance style made him well-suited for the Canadian market and traveled to Jamaica, where Paul recorded his verse.
In demand in Hollywood after that, Carney then appeared in W.W. and the Dixie Dancekings (as a deranged preacher), The Late Show (as an aging detective), House Calls (as a senile chief surgeon), Movie Movie (in multiple roles), and Going in Style (as a bored senior citizen who joins in on bank robberies). Later films included The Muppets Take Manhattan, the crime drama The Naked Face, and the sci-fi thriller Firestarter. In 1981, he portrayed Harry Randall Truman, an 83-year-old lodge owner in the semi- fictional account of events leading to the eruption of Mount St. Helens in St. Helens. Although he retired in the late 1980s, he returned in 1993 in a minor supporting role in Last Action Hero.
The word pyrokinesis (Greek language: pyr=fire, kinesis=movement) was coined by horror novelist Stephen King in his 1980 novel Firestarter to describe the ability to create and control fire with the mind. The word is intended to be parallel to telekinesis, with S. T. Joshi describing it as a "singularly unfortunate coinage" and noting that the correct analogy to telekinesis would "not be 'pyrokinesis' but 'telepyrosis' (fire from a distance)". King is the first person to give the idea a name as neither the term pyrokinesis nor any other term describing the idea have been found in prior works. Parapsychologists describe pyrokinesis as the ability to excite the atoms within an object until they generate enough energy to burst into flame.

Danny Torrance in The Shining is one of several child characters in Stephen King's early fiction who deal with parental abandonment or the fear of it; other characters include Carrie White in Carrie and Charlene "Charlie" McGee in Firestarter. Heidi Strengell, in Dissecting Stephen King, says, "In King's view children, like Danny Torrance, are able to deal with fantasy and terror on their own terms better than adults because of the size of their imaginative capacity and their unique position in life." The reference guide Characters in 20th-Century Literature wrote, "Some critics complain that Danny displays an improbable maturity for a child his age." Author Dale Bailey, writing about haunted houses, said King's writing of Danny, a psychic in a haunted setting, borrowed the link made by Shirley Jackson and Richard Matheson in their works.
The episode contains many cultural references, which Annalee Newitz of io9 attributed to the episode's writers: "It was bound to happen that one day these four supernerds would get together and spawn an episode so packed with in-groupy pop culture references that smacking is probably in order." Peter and Walter reference the 1984 supernatural comedy film Ghostbusters while investigating the opening scene's case, and later debate the origin of the term pyrokinesis, coined by author Stephen King in his 1981 novel Firestarter. Emmanuel Grayson, who lives at street address number 1701, refers to the titular character of the 1982 science fiction film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, as well as Romulans and the United Federation of Planets, when describing government conspiracies to Peter and Olivia. Grayson also believes himself to be Mr. Spock.
The short spoken-word vocal and the "Hey!" sample – used in a number of songs most notably in "Firestarter" by The Prodigy and "Back in the Day" by Christina Aguilera (uncredited) – was the voice of Camilla Pilkington-Smyth. The single was released in the UK on what had become ZTT's customary array of formats: standard and picture disc 7" versions, five 12" singles (one a picture disc) and a cassette single, each featuring a number of unique mixes. The many remixes were given their own titles derived from the overall title, including "Edited", "Closely Closely (Enough's Enough)" and "Close-Up". The cassette single version, "That Was Close", was a medley of a number of the mixes from the various formats, featuring "Diversion Eight", "Diversion Two", "Closest", "Close-Up", the album version of "Close (to the Edit)" and "Closed".
During the 1970s, he was an illustrator for films like Fiddler on the Roof and Cross of Iron; in the 1980s, he worked on Firestarter and The Cotton Club and was a visual consultant on the 1986 remake of The Fly. His career as an art director started in television, beginning with NBC's Matinee Theatre and moving on to such programs as Gomer Pyle, USMC and The Andy Griffith Show. He would go on to serve as art director on several films, and also began working as production designer with the 1971 Cannes Film Festival Jury Grand Prize- winning film Johnny Got His Gun, all the while continuing his career as an illustrator and storyboard artist. Michelson worked on two films for Mel Brooks, first as production designer on History of the World, Part I and later as art director for Spaceballs.
Liam Howlett said to Dazed magazine "'No Good... was a response to all that shit Eurodance stuff", and said that the band had started to make better videos. THe Prodigy select 10 inspirational Jilted jams - Dazed magazine 4 July 2014 The song's music video, directed by Walter Stern combines the humorous flavour of that for the band's previous video for "Out of Space" with the menace of "Firestarter" and "Breathe" videos to come. Filmed in a disused, underground cellar below Spitalfields market in the East End of London, the video features characters dancing to the song, including a very manic Liam Howlett, whilst other band members prowl around moodily. After Howlett breaks down a plaster wall with a sledgehammer, group member Keith Flint is seen in a straitjacket, eventually being locked into a Plexiglas box-prison.
In the 1980s, Joston's acting career became more sporadic, and he made a gradual transition from acting to working full-time as a teamster on film and television transportation crews. He had begun working as a teamster when he was between acting jobs, which, according to Joston, was much of the time; eventually, he became so busy working on film crews that he rarely had time to look for roles. After 1986, he worked primarily in transportation until his retirement in 1994. In 1982, when Carpenter was scheduled to direct the film adaptation of Stephen King's novel Firestarter, Joston was considered for the role of John Rainbird, the Native-American assassin; but after Universal Pictures executives fired Carpenter from the project (following the commercial failure of The Thing) and replaced him with Mark L. Lester, the role of Rainbird was given to George C. Scott.
Inside, the backstory is told in flashback as Murdock explains his situation to a priest. The technique has been used across genres, including dramas such as Through a Glass Darkly (1961), 8½ (1963), Raging Bull (1980), and City of God (2002); crime thrillers such as No Way Out (1987), Grievous Bodily Harm (1988), The Usual Suspects (1995), and Kill Bill Volume 2 (2004); horror films such as Firestarter (1984); action films such as many in the James Bond franchise; and comedies such as Dr. Strangelove (1964). Most notably, Star Wars takes advantage of the technique across its multi-part epic series of films with the first-released film, A New Hope, being the fourth episode in a nine-part epic. Superhero films with a satirical edge such as Deadpool (2016) and Birds of Prey (2020) have utilized in medias res to frame their stories.

Firestarter has a 37% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 27 reviews. The critical consensus reads, "Firestarter's concept hews too closely to other known Stephen King adaptations, though it's got nice special effects (including scenery-chewing George C. Scott)." Roger Ebert gave the film two stars out of four, and wrote, "the most astonishing thing" about it was "how boring it is...there's not a character in this movie that is convincing, even for a moment, nor a line in this movie that even experienced performers can make real;" and, "we don't feel sorry for Barrymore because she's never developed as a believable little girl -- just a plot gimmick." After seeing a rough cut, Stephen King declared it “One of the worst of the bunch” of the adaptations of his work he had seen, and dubbed it “flavourless.” He and director Mark Lester later traded barbs over the comments, though King told Cinefantastique he feels Firestarter’s producer is the one to blame for its failings.
With the telekinesis theme becoming increasingly popular following the release of Brian De Palma's Carrie, an adaptation of Stephen King's 1974 novel, many films attempted to recreate this theme, with little success; The Spell was the first to do so and although claimed that the script with written prior to King's novel, many similarities appear in The Spell including the opening scene in which the character, Rita, is bullied by her classmates, family issues, and telekinetic revenge. In the final scene in the film, which concerns the showdown between Rita and her mother, Marilyn, Rita uses her power to hurl knives at Marilyn; although missing her aim, it is much like the ending to Carrie in which Carrie kills her mother by launching flying knives through the air. Many films which have been considered imitations followed this, some of which include, Jennifer (1978), Patrick (1978), Evilspeak (1982), and to a lesser extent, Laserblast (1978).Muir, John Kenneth Other films with a similar theme include The Fury (1978) and Firestarter (1984).
