On August 28, 2013, at 36 years old, Lari Ketner was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. After being diagnosed with cancer, Ketner completed the three courses needed to receive his bachelor's degree from University of Massachusetts Amherst. The Stuck River in Washington state is a former small stream turned distributary and later final course of the White River, near Auburn to the Puyallup River at Sumner. The river's name comes from the Lushootseed word /stéq/, "log jam", or /stəx̣/, "gouged through", online at Google Books or "plowed through". Throughout the late 19th century, farmers in the valley attempted various flood control efforts that eventually allowed the White River to partially flow into the Stuck River in 1899. In 1906, a great flood diverted the White River's entire flow into the Stuck River.

Brown Deer Park Golf Course is a public golf course maintained as part of the Milwaukee County Park System. The course was designed in 1929 by George Hanson. Since then, the course has been partially redesigned, the clubhouse has become a historic site and the course was the fourth and final course to host the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee, a PGA Tour event that was held from 1968 to 2009 (the event was played at Brown Deer from 1994 to 2009). Located on the northwest side of the city of Milwaukee (not in Brown Deer), the course is surrounded by trees and features deep rough.

Lower level qualifications enabling a person to work in EMS are the Rettungssanitäter (520 hour training) and Rettungshelfer (not standardized, around 240 hours out of the Rettungssanitäter curriculum). Both are not protected titles by federal law, but based on a national agreement of the German state ministry boards of 1977. The training of a Rettungssanitäter is within a 520-hour program, including 160 hours theoretical classroom education, 160 hours hospital training and 160 hour ride-along in EMS, followed by a 40-hour final course with a state exam or an exam at a school accepted by the state. A Rettungssanitäter with this exam is allowed to work nationwide.

After the Combat Diver Course is over, naval divers may split two possible career paths, which are the Specialist Career Path and the Officer Career Path. In the Specialist Career Path, trainees will go through Combat Advanced Skills Training for a month, training in basic land combat. They will then be in the Special Forces Qualification Course for 9 months to be trained in combat diving, free-fall, and advanced demolitions, to deal with the full spectrum of special operations. The final course will be the four-month Special Warfare Course, where trainees will learn skills to be a part of the Special Warfare Group.

The nutcrackers were placed on dining tables to serve as a fun and entertaining center of conversation while diners awaited their final course. Over geologic time, the Mississippi River has experienced numerous large and small changes to its main course, as well as additions, deletions, and other changes among its numerous tributaries, and the lower Mississippi River has used different pathways as its main channel to the Gulf of Mexico across the delta region. At the age of thirteen Martim Francisco joined the local team Olympic where he played as goalkeeper – with a brief interlude at EC Juventus – until an accident forced him to stop playing football. The AFC conducted both pilot and mechanic training in Australia at the Central Flying School, which was established at Point Cook, but this was limited in duration due to embarkation schedules, which meant that further training was required overseas before aircrew were posted to operational squadrons. The first course began on 17 August 1914 and lasted three months; two instructors, Henry Petre and Eric Harrison, who had been recruited from the United Kingdom in 1912 to establish the corps, trained the first batch of Australian aircrew.
