In semi-trucking, most companies are larger sized companies with multiple trucks, trailers, drivers, etc, whereas, Hotshot trucking is typically single person companies ran and operated by the driver themselves. Most Hotshots are ran using larger 1 ton and heavier Pickup trucks (ex, Dodge Ram 3500). These are typically, paired with larger fifth wheel trailers such as made by Big-Tex and Diamond-C.
Callahan wasn't able to find suitable chairs for competitive wheelchair basketball, and started building his own in the early 1980s. In 2000 Callahan reported to Sydney Morning Herald that his company was building 600 to 700 chairs a year at around AUD 2000 per chair, and almost all of Australia's wheelchair basketball team was using his chairs. The M970 Semi-Trailer Refueler is a fuel dispensing tanker designed for under/overwing refueling of aircraft. It is equipped with a filter/separator, recirculation system and two refueling systems, one for underwing and one for overwing servicing. The term recreational vehicle (RV) is often used as a broad category of motor vehicles and trailers which include living quarters for designed temporary accommodation. Types of RVs include motorhomes, campervans, caravans (also known as travel trailers and camper trailers), fifth-wheel trailers, popup campers, truck campers and Park Model RVs. A large number of terms are used when describing aspects of recreational vehicle usage. Some of these are self- explanatory while others may be unfamiliar to many readers.

Since the load is separate from a ballast tractor, it provides no ballast: the drawbar only transmits a horizontal force. High inertia is encountered when starting to move a heavy load. There are many forms of tow hitch, including a ball hitch, tow bar, pintle and lunette ring, three-point, fifth wheel, coupling, and drawbar, among others. The tow-ball is popular for lighter loads, readily allowing swivelling and articulation of a trailer. The M15A2 trailer the M123 was first intended to tow had a higher load plate and larger coupling pin than a standard semi-trailer. A horse trailer or horse van (also called a horse float in Australia and New Zealand or horsebox in the British Isles) is used to transport horses. There are many different designs, ranging in size from small units capable of holding two or three horses, able to be pulled by a pickup truck or even a SUV; to gooseneck designs that carry six to eight horses, usually pulled by 1-ton dually-style pickups.

The Denby Eco-Link, with a Ford Mondeo positioned in front of the A-Trailer, which sits between the standard tractor unit and semi-trailer of a full size normal UK articulated lorry. The two middle axles are rigidly attached to the A-Trailer and support the fifth wheel coupling with which the rear trailer is towed. The A-Trailer wheels electronically counter steer with respect to the tractor unit. While the Denby Eco-Link is in the catch all category of a Longer Heavier Vehicle (LHV), in particular, it achieves this using a vehicle configuration known as a "B-Train" or "B-Double".
In the UK, cargo carrying vehicles were previously defined, and are still commonly known, as HGVs (Heavy Goods Vehicles), although for harmonisation with other European Union member states, this term was officially changed to LGV (Large goods vehicle). Articulated lorries are the more common configuration of larger LGV in the UK, where a tractor unit tows a semi-trailer through a fifth wheel coupling. The drawbar configuration is a less common example of large LGV, and consists of a rigid lorry with cargo carrying capacity, which also pulls a second cargo trailer, using a drawbar link. The UK also allows the use of long 'bendy buses' for public transport.
The Smith Flyer The Smith Flyer was an American automobile manufactured by the A.O. Smith Company in Milwaukee from 1915 until about 1919 when the manufacturing rights were sold to Briggs & Stratton and it was renamed to Briggs & Stratton Flyer. The Smith Flyer is a small, simple, lightweight, two- seat vehicle with a wooden frame that doubles as the body and as the suspension. A small gasoline engine is mounted on a fifth wheel, or motor wheel, to drive the Flyer. The wheelbase was 62 inches (1575 mm), the wheels were 20 inches (508 mm) in diameter, and the width was 30 inches (762 mm).

Fruehauf Trailer Corporation, previously Fruehauf Trailer Company (1918–1963) and Fruehauf Corporation (1963–1989), was an American company engaged in the manufacture and sale of truck trailers, and other machinery and equipment, with headquarters located in Detroit, Michigan. It was founded in 1918 in Detroit, after August Fruehauf created the semi-trailer and launched a new industry. The Fruehauf trailer company introduced revolutionary inventions to trucking and transportation with hydraulic dump trailers, bulk tanker trailers, and automatic fifth wheel coupling among their over one thousand patents, including the shipping container in 1956. Expanding across the country, Fruehauf had 16 plants and over 80 distributorships for parts and service.
The company was previously known as Fall Line Entertainment. In addition to Girls Gone Wild, the company also produced the Banned from Television series in 1998, featuring raw, uncensored and graphic scenes of violence caught on camera. The company also produces "Uncensored" versions of reality dating shows such as Blind Date and The Fifth Wheel, which feature extensive (mostly female) nudity and sexual content that cannot be shown on mainstream television. The company is based on a business model of getting young women to bare their breasts on camera in exchange for a t-shirt, then selling the resulting videos directly to the consumer.
In the United States and Canada, the history of travel trailers can be traced back to the early 1920s, when those who enjoyed their use were often referred to as 'tin can tourists'. As time progressed, trailers became more liveable and earned a new name in the 1930s and 1940s, which was the house trailer. In the 1950s and 1960s, the industry seemed to split, creating the two types that we see today, that of the recreational vehicle (RV) industry and mobile home industry. Today travel trailers are classified as a type of RV along with motorhomes, fifth-wheel trailers, pop-up trailers, and truck campers.

Alfa Romeo built the Mille in a rear-wheel drive 4x2 configuration. The Mille could carry eight metric tons of cargo in the bed and a tow up to 18 tons; a fifth wheel tractor unit version was also made, rated for a 26.2 ton towing capacity. Independent firms offered conversion to three or four axles by adding one or two dead axles, steerable or fixed; maximum bed payload went up respectively to over 10 or 13 tons. Italian Bartoletti made a car transporter version of the Mille in 1963, which could carry up to eight cars on two levels of the car and trailer.

Scammell Pioneer heavy off-road truck Although they are largely obsolete, kingpin suspensions have the advantage of being able to carry much heavier weights, which is why they are still featured on some heavy trucks. Dana produced the kingpin version of the D60 axle until 1991.
