Dzhambazki took a vocally strong stance against the 2019 proposed changes to the EU transport law proposed by French President Emmanuel Macron. Dzhambazki stated that the reform plan had been pushed alongside an "organized campaign against Bulgarian national interests", as the reforms were deemed to hurt Bulgarian transport companies. On 17 December 2019, a statement he published online against the proposed reform package was put under investigation for racism by the European Parliament, after he dubbed transport committee chairwoman Karima Delli a "French woman from Algerian descent" and another one of the bill's authors, Ismail Ertug, as a "German man from Turkish descent". Following condemnation from several MEPs, Dzhambazki stated that he would apologise if the two felt offended, adding that he himself would not be offended if someone were to dub him a "Bulgarian from Macedonian descent".

The girl-girl relationship between Paula and Anna got troubled when female's favorite Christoffer Jensen re-entered the house after being evicted and started to fancy Paula, who then decided "to go hetero" for the rest of the season and concentrated on Christoffer, mostly to Anna's disappointment.

Although the Federation of Malaysia was formed on 16 September 1963, the nickname is still used by the national squad, thus sparking some debates whether it was appropriate as most Malaysian in the East felt the "Malaya" term does not cover the whole country. Some supporters in the East felt offended when the media in the West Malaysia kept using the term and dismissed their concerns. Some party in the West even insensitively said that it is just a small matter and the naming issue had been politicised as the term "Malayan tiger" came from an endangered endemic tiger subspecies in Malay Peninsula rather than a geopolitical reason. As part of rebranding of the national football team by FAM from 2 February 2016 onward, the nickname Harimau Malaya was officially changed to Harimau Malaysia in a bid to be more inclusive to the East Malaysian side.

Pesti Napló published Görgei's letter with the note in which the editors tried to excuse themselves from publishing Görgei's letter by saying that they felt obliged to give him the right to defend himself if he felt offended by Kossuth's letter. István Görgey protested against this note, saying they did not said him or his brother nothing about this note before they published it together with Görgei's letter. Seeing that almost no Hungarian newspaper or magazine wrote about his Gazdátlan levelek and his other articles, Görgei said that the generation of today do not want me in any way. During his first return to Hungary he was visited by a group of men, among which some old revolutionary soldiers were also to be found, and gave him a crumpled image of the 13 Martyrs of Arad symbolizing with this that in their opinion they were executed because he betrayed them and the country.

Later they travelled through Bulgaria by train, where they compared the hills and pastures on the landscape to the Lake District in England, through Sofia where they stopped very briefly for refreshments before continuing on to Istanbul. In Istanbul they experienced Turkish cuisine such as Turkish delight and apple tea which is sold in abundance in the country and they boarded a boat across the Bosphorus and drove across the coast of Northern Turkey in a minibus. It was designed as a public service bus with notices of the towns they would pass on their journey on the windows. They encountered some memorable passengers along the way including one passenger named Fatih (the pronunciation of which is "Farty" – a euphemism for flatulence common in England), this unfortunate conflict of dialect/pronunciation caused some amusement to the team and consequently some upheaval to the point the passenger felt offended and had to depart the bus.
