He is the founder president of the Tamil Sangam in Taiwan. He has received various awards, including awards from Seoul World Academy of Arts and Culture (2004), Thiruvalluvar award (2014), and a felicitation from former President of India A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.

During Brahmaji's college days, he was a big fan of superstar Krishna. Brahmaji’s father used to work as a Tahsildar in Nellore, J. V. Chandradas, a famous and best-selling poet and author arrives in Kodaikanal to attend a school felicitation ceremony. Hora Prasad Joshi (Nepali: होराप्रसाद जोशी; 1925-2010) is a Nepali political figure who was crucial in shaping the politics of modern Nepali government. He was the Home Minister in B.P. Koirala's Nepali Congress, a social democratic political party. He also drafted the 1962 constitution for King Mahendra. He was also the Member Secretary of the National Health and Sports Council in 1958, and received a letter of felicitation for his contribution to Nepal's sports sector in 2002.

One of the leaders of the Jayatu Sanskitam student movement, Pandit Ram Prasad Neupane, received felicitation for his work towards bringing democracy in Nepal. The Jayatu Sanskritam movement begin in 1947 AD(BS 2004), started by students of the Tin Dhara Pakshala Sanskrit School in Nepal. Rubber was awarded the Akhilan Memorial Prize 1990 for Best Literary work. Well-known critics and authors like Indira Parthasarathy and Ki Rajanarayanan were part of the prize committee and they commended the work for its theme and depth. Religious Developments in Manipur in the 18th and 19th Centuries, Religion and Culture of Manipur, Folk culture of Manipur, Recent Researches in Oriental and Indological Studies: Including Meiteilogy The philosophy and Religion, and The philosophy of Organism are some of his notable works. His selected writings were compiled and brought out as a felicitation volume by Akansha Publishing House in 2014.

He was Head of the Department of History & Indology at Maharaja College, University of Mysore between 1940 - 1960. He was conferred the Kannada Literary Academy award in 1970 and was subsequently honoured by Governor of Karnataka Mohanlal Sukhadia in 1973 during mythic society diamond jubilee function. It starts with inauguration from evening of 30-Jan-19, followed by student teacher community concerts on 2-Feb-19 and Brindaganam on 3-Feb-19 morning. After his election, he instituted an enquiry into misappropriation of funds collected for felicitation of Pratibha Patil and for tsunami relief. Togere Venkatasubbasastry Venkatachala Sastry is a Kannada-language writer, grammarian, critic, editor and lexicographer. He has authored in excess of 100 books, translations and has edited collections of essays, biographical sketches and felicitation volumes. Recipient of the Kannada Sahitya Akademi Award (honorary), Sastry is an authority on Kannada language grammar and its various facets ranging from the metre scale () on which he has written extensively to the history of Kannada literature spanning two millennia. His book Mulukanadu Brahmanaru is a sociological study of the Mulukanadu community since the early 17th century, outlining their origin, migration and embrace of western education.

At the age of 17 years, Sakharam Hari Gupte joined the army of Peshwa Bajirao 1 alongside his brother Baburao Gupte. In 1735, when he joined the Peshwa's army, during the battle against "Siddhi Rahiman"; Sakharam Hari stood across him and killed him on the spot. As a felicitation gesture, Bajirao 1 gave him the same elephant used by Siddhi Rahiman and also made him the commander of a cavalry of 1200 horsemen. During a crucial battle (1737-1738) between Peshwa Bajirao 1 and Nizam-ul-Mulk when the marathas found themselves in the lost position.

Gamosa, an honorary piece of cloth commonly used for Felicitation in Assam very similar to other traditional headgears of East and South East Asia. The Gamosa is an article of great significance for the people of Assam. Literally translated, it means 'something to wipe the body with' (Ga=body, mosa=to wipe), Its original term is Gamcha; interpreting the word "gamosa" as the body-wiping towel is misleading. After serving 12 years in a juvenile home , a reformed Anand goes to meet his grandfather, freedom fighter Shanthamurthy only to learn that he has gone to attend a felicitation ceremony. While travelling to that place, Anand witnesses a young girl jump to death in order to protect herself from a gang of four savages. Bezbaroa on a 1968 stamp of India Bezbaroa was honoured by a unique title on 29 December 1931 as'Roxoraj' (ৰসৰাজ) by Asam Sahitya Sabha at its Sibsagar session. In the felicitation letter by Asam Sahitya Sabha, the word 'Sahityarathi' was used for the first time for Bezbaroa. Roxoraj meaning 'The King of Humour' in Assamese literature for his ever-popular satirical writings under the pen-name "Kripaabor Borbaruah", a pseudo-personality that he created and portrayed as the lead character in such works. He is also known in Assamese literary society as the Sahityarathi (সাহিত্যৰথী) which means "Charioteer of Literature" for his expertise in all branches of literature. .

During the final twelve years of his life, Bhaktivedanta Swami translated over sixty volumes of classic Vedic scriptures (such as the Bhagavad Gita, Chaitanya Charitamritaand the Srimad Bhagavatam) into the English language. A teacher by profession, Shantha Kumari managed to strike a balance between professional goals and her dedication to the nation. While leaving for Ayodhya she wrote an unambiguous letter to her institution's management informing them of her active participation in the Ramjanmabhoomi movement; she told them to treat the letter as her resignation from her job in case they found her participation in the movement against the policies of the institution. On her return to Bengaluru she was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and public felicitation accorded to her by the institution. At the insistence of the management she decided to continue with her job.

Banakal Jatre is the car-festival that occurs once a year and attracts a lot of people from adjacent villages.
