The London- bound platform was demolished and the tracks rearranged, coinciding with the swapping of services from the former "fast" tracks onto the former "slow" tracks, resulting in the arrangement utilised today. The station and all services that call were previously operated by Abellio Greater Anglia as part of the East Anglia franchise. In 2015 it transferred to London Overground and now appears on the tube map.

Fixed socialization provides a new hire with the exact knowledge of the time it will take to complete a given passage. The Quarry line passes over the Redhill line south of station; this means that when the two lines reunite again at , the slow tracks are to the west side of the fast tracks. From there, the line continues south past and before the two pairs of tracks merge together at Balcombe Tunnel Junction (just north of Balcombe Tunnel itself) and the line reduces to double-track. There is a short quadruple-track section at and a triple-track section at (with a northbound passing loop); aside from these the line remains double-track through to Brighton. The line is long, measured from London Victoria to Brighton via the Quarry line.

Meanwhile, Raghuvir "Raggie" Chalkar (Prateik Babbar), a senior from H3, which is considered the most successful hostelite house, fast-tracks Anni's application because of Anni's athleticism and asks him to relocate to H3, a posh and luxurious hostel, infinitely better than H4. Anni, however, wanting to stay with his friends, turns down the offer instigating Raggie to call him a loser. Raggie also reveals that he had once made a similar offer to Derek too, but Derek had foolishly turned the offer down as well. Anni, livid at being called a loser, decides that his hostel will win the coveted GC trophy so that the tag of "losers" will be removed once and for all.

Being traditionally air-cooled and with only 2 valves per cylinder, it was still down on power compared to more modern F1 designs which delivered over , but were not suited to endurance racing. The 908 originally was a closed coupe to provide low drag at fast tracks, but from 1969 on was mainly raced as the 908/2, a lighter open spyder. A more compact 908/3 was introduced in 1970 to complement the heavy Porsche 917 on twisty tracks that favored nimble cars, like Targa Florio and Nürburgring. Sold off to privateers for 1972, various 908s were entered until the early 1980s, often retro-fitted with Porsche 934-based 2.1-litre turbocharged flat 6 engines.

The station has two side platforms (platform 1 on the down main line and platform 4 on the up relief line) and a central island platform with two faces (platform 2 on the up main line and platform 3 on the down relief line). Platforms 1 and 2 are only used when engineering works cause stopping trains to use the fast tracks, and the platform edges are closed off by fences incorporating normally closed (but not locked) gates. The main station building is to the east of the station, alongside platform 4 and on the opposite side of the station to the village centre. There is a large car park to the south of the station building.

On 26 April 1974, PAF fighter pilot Flight Lieutenant Sattar Alvi on deputation to No. 67A Squadron, Syrian Air Force (SAF) was flying a SAF MiG-21F-13 (Serial No. 1863) out of Dumayr Air Base, Syria in an eight-ship formation with a fellow PAF pilot and the Flight Leader, Squadron Leader Arif Manzoor. Alvi came to worldwide international notice when he shot down the IAF's Mirage IIICJ flown by Captain M. Lutz. On 26 April 1974, while on an aerial patrol, the PAF fighter pilot team including, Flight Lieutenant Captain Sattar Alvi, Squadron Leader Major Saleem Metla and the formation's leader Squadron Leader Major Arif Manzoor had an encounter over the Golan Heights between a Mig-21 of the Syrian Air Force and two Israeli Mirages.Ibid While leading a Mig-21 patrol along the border, Squadron Leader Arif Manzoor was apprised of the presence of two Israeli Phantom aircraft and was cautioned that these could be decoys while two other fast tracks approaching from the opposite direction might be the real threat.

Vo Rogue was successful in Brisbane, Sydney, and Perth, but was at his best in Melbourne, particularly in the autumn, with the hard and fast tracks very much to his liking (he was controversially scratched from the Cox Plate in 1988 because Rail considered he was hopeless in any kind of rain-affected going). He dominated the weight- for-age races at the autumn carnivals of 1988, 1989, and 1990, defeating such outstanding horses as Campaign King and the Cox Plate winners Bonecrusher, Super Impose, Our Poetic Prince, and Better Loosen Up. He was successful from the William Reid Stakes (1,200 metres) to the Australian Cup (2,000 metres), and won various races in between, including the C F Orr Stakes (1,400 metres), the Blamey Stakes (1,600 metres), and the St George Stakes (1,800 metres). In total, Vo Rogue won 26 races from 83 starts, including six Group One races, and a further five which now carry Group One status. His name has also entered Australian racing folklore, regularly summoned by racecallers and fans alike who speak of horses setting up "Vo Rogue-style" leads.

Porsche 910 "Bergspyder" on static display in the Porsche Automuseum Helmut Pfeifhofer in Gmünd. The 910 was only raced for about one year by the factory. The main class rivals were the Ferrari Dino 206P, overall victories on fast tracks against the much more powerful and faster Ford GT40 for example, or another class competitor Ferrari Prototypes proved unrealistic. At the 1000 km Nürburgring in 1967, a fleet of six factory cars were entered in an attempt to score the first overall win in Porsche's home event. Two of the three 8-cyl broke, and the remaining one finished fourth. The three 6-cyl won 1-2-3, though, giving Porsche its first outright win in a third major event of the World Sportscar Championship for Porsche, after the 1956 Targa Florio and the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1960. In Le Mans, the new Porsche 907 "long tails" were already entered, finishing 5th in front of a 910 and two 906. In hillclimbing, the career of the short and light open-top 910/8 "Bergspyder" version with its 8-cylinder continued, winning the 1967 and 1968 European championships.
