Among these traditional songs were the tunes, bulerías, jaleos and seguidillas that Lorca himself recorded in 1931 accompanying the famous singer "La Argentinita" with the piano. The lorqueña comes from Granada and is based on the bulería style.

After eighteen months in the studio, in September 2005, Zeritu’s self-titled album Zeritu was released. The album that included songs like "Endaygelegne", the first single from the album, "Athidibign", her youth favorite, "Deg Abate Kifu Balua", a song which was critically praised for its lyricism and Zeritu's personal favorite Yane; became one of the most successful albums in the history of Ethiopian music. From March 2006 to April 2006, Zeritu went on a national tour Guzo Zeritu and performed in major Ethiopian cities including Addis Ababa, Adama, Hawassa, Dire-Dawa, Harar, Bahir-Dar, Jimma, Mekele, Dessie and Gondar. The Gipsy Kings, born in France but brought up with Spanish culture, are largely responsible for bringing the sounds of progressive pop- oriented flamenco to a worldwide audience. The band started out in Arles, a town in southern France, during the 1970s, when brothers Nicolas and Andre Reyes, the sons of flamenco artist Jose Reyes, teamed up with their cousins Jacques, Maurice, and Tonino Baliardo. Manitas de Plata and Jose Reyes were a duo who triggered the wider popularity of rumba flamenca (also known as Spanish or gypsy rumba). It was famous singer Reyes, however, who was mostly responsible for the new surge of popular interest when he left Manitas de Plata and started a band of his own, made up of his own sons, which he called "Los Reyes" (as well as being the family name, reyes means "kings" in Spanish).

Another successful film in this period, a devotional Nandanaar was a controversial story of a harijan man overcoming the shackles of the caste oppression to gain admittance into the Chidambaram Nataraja temple with divine sanction, hence becoming a Nayanmar shaivite saint. This starred the famous singer Dandapani Desikar with the film and soundtrack becoming a runaway superhit in Tamil Nadu. Technically, it was the first film in India that used playback singing in a portion where a divine song, a call to the saint in a heavenly voice rings out of the ether – this of course set a trend for playback singers and revolutionised the necessity to use singer- actors for films that had been the norm through the 1930s and early 1940s. Vasan's involvement in films eventually led him to direct his first movie, Chandralekha.

The Violet Seller, better known under its Spanish title La Violetera, is a 1958 Spanish-Italian historical musical film produced by Benito Perojo, directed by Luis César Amadori and starring Sara Montiel, Raf Vallone, Frank Villard, Tomás Blanco and Ana Mariscal. The film is inspired by the song "La Violetera" composed by José Padilla in 1914, with lyrics by Eduardo Montesinos, that is incarnated in the film by Montiel as Soledad, a street violets seller who, after meeting and breaking with Fernando, the love of her life, becames a famous singer who sings the song in her concerts. The Violet Seller received excellent reviews upon its release on April 6, 1958, although some reviewers found the plot too trite and conventional. Montiel's performance was widely praised while the production and the remaining main cast received generally positive reviews.

While studying to become a doctor, she self-released her first album with the help of friends who were inspired by the then 19-year old saying "I want to become a world famous singer" in a country which no longer knew the world and which the world had largely forgotten. In the theatre version of the "Sammy Davis Jr. Story" he played the role of Sammy Davis' father and choreographed the tap numbers. At the Marcus Center of the Performing Arts in Milwaukee he was the featured tap dancer and choreographer of a production called "We are the Drum". For the 150th anniversary for the Chicago Tribune Reggio was brought in as a specialty act with the Chicago Jazz Ensemble. Reggio 'the Hoofer' Reggio has been featured on educational television programs such as Art Safari, Art Beat Chicago, and Inside Kentucky Schools. His feet are featured dancing to the documentary narration about the famous singer, Nat King Cole, he also appears in “Gallery 37 a portrait of Chicago Youth” and “Vanishing Act”. He has also been featured in JUBA- Masters of the tap, a tap documentary that has aired on PBS where he danced with his partner Ernest “Brownie” Brown, a legendary tap dancer who died in 2009 at the age of 93.

The title of this story is taken from the name of the great Argentine singer Carlos Gardel, the idol of the antihero Toribio portrayed by Alberto Argibay. Toribio's goal in life is to emulate the famous singer and making his own way successfully in the music business. Yet at the same time, he does not stop his illegal means of making ends meet, stealing and petty thievery. Films such as A hierro muere starring Alberto de Mendoza and Olga Zubarry and Accidente 703 in 1962 were often co-produced with Spain and often featured both Argentine and Spanish born actors. In 1963, comedy films became to feature in Argentine cinema, and films such as Alias Flequillo in 1963 directed by Julio Saraceni starred comedians such as José Marrone. Las Aventuras del Capitán Piluso en el Castillo del Terror starred comedians such as Alberto Olmedo who appeared in the genre throughout the 1960s and 1970s appearing in 1967's El Andador and other slap-stick comedies.

Armen now teaches many students to play duduk. The Thai Local Power Party (TLP; , ) is a Thai political party that was founded on 30 March 2012 under the name Thong Thin Thai (TTT; ), with Chatchawal Kong-udom, or Chat Taopoon, former Bangkok Senator and former executive editor of Siam Rath newspaper, as the founder and Seksorn Homrak as the first leader of the party. Later, in an extraordinary general meeting of the party on 24 March 2014, the party changed the party regulations, including changing the party's name to "Thai Local Power". On Friday 2 November 2018, the party held an extraordinary meeting of the party at Pathumthani Place Hotel to select a new party executive committee, where Chatchawal was elected to the position of party leader, Chuenchob Kong-udom, Chatchawan's son, was elected party spokesman, and Rattaphoom "Film" Thokhongsub, a famous singer- actor, was elected deputy party spokesman. The committee also elected Kriangkrai Phoom-laochaeng as deputy leader of the party and Thirasak Panichwit as party secretary.

Jorge Garcia-Serra founded Radio Garcia-Serra in Havana, Cuba in late 1929. The radio station was the second radio station established in Havana, and transmitted under the call letters CMCU at a frequency of 660 kc which, at the time and throughout the 1950s, was the only frequency with a clear international frequency that could not be blocked or interfered. In the early stages, Radio Garcia-Serra broadcast music and on-air novellas written by distinguished Cuban and Spanish writers of the time. During the late 1940s and 1950s, the children of Jorge Garcia-Serra owned and managed the radio station, and Roberto Garcia-Serra was named the General Manager. In the late 1940s, when studio live radio-broadcast performances were common, Radio Garcia-Serra broadcast a program at 5 PM called “Tea Hour” (Hora del Té) where Celia Cruz, the world-famous singer and representative of Cuba, had her beginnings.

In Shusha, Soviet-era monuments of NatavanNatavan bust then and today (sculptress Hayat Abdullayeva) and other famous Karabakh Azeris including Hajibekov and Bulbul, which once decorated the central streets of Shusha, were severely damaged and dismantled. Polad Bulbuloghlu, then the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan bought the bronze busts from Georgian scrap metal yard and transported them to Baku.Public Association for the "Protection of Right of Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons in Azerbaijan" Thomas de Waal who saw the monuments in Baku, wrote: "I saw the three bronze heads, forlorn and pocked with bullets, lying in the courtyard of the headquarters of the Red Cross in the center of Baku: the poet Natevan, an earnest girl in a head scarf reading a book, missing a thumb; the composer Hajibekov, a bullet-ridden gentleman in double-breasted suit and broken spectacles; and Bul Bul, a famous singer with a serious domed bronze forehead". The monuments are now kept in the yard of the Azerbaijani Museum of Arts in Baku.

When Dorothy climbs out of the wreckage, she finds that Toto (Pepé the King Prawn) can talk and that she is no longer in Kansas. Dorothy and Toto discover that they are in Munchkinland, a small town part of the vast Land of Oz. After discussing her situation with the town's people, the Munchkins (played by Rizzo the Rat and the other rats), she learns that the land's ruler the Wizard, has the power to grant her wish of becoming a famous singer. She meets the Good Witch of the North (Miss Piggy), and receives a pair of magic silver slippers from the Wicked Witch of the East (Miss Piggy), the Witch of the North's sister who was killed when Dorothy's trailer fell on her. Soon after, she embarks on a journey with Toto on the yellow brick road to meet the Wizard of Oz, who lives in the Emerald City, the capital of Oz. On her journey, she meets three creatures: a Scarecrow (Kermit), a Tin Thing (Gonzo), and a Cowardly Lion (Fozzie).
