Roland becomes a gunslinger at the unheard-of age of 14 after being manipulated into taking the "trial of manhood" by Marten Broadcloak, his father's adviser and alias of Randall Flagg. Marten has an affair with Roland's mother and makes sure Roland finds out about it, prompting Roland to request his trial in order to gain his guns and exact revenge on Marten. In the trial, Roland must defeat his teacher, Cort, using a weapon of his choosing. He chooses a hawk named David and defeats Cort.

Meanwhile, Bipin's lustful eyes falls on Vidya and teams up with the Vermas to exact revenge on Mustafa.
In the meantime, the Lin family created "Friends of Jenny Lin", a volunteer organization aimed at spreading awareness about their daughter's case, a move backed by the executive director of the Adam Walsh Center and the father of Polly Klaas. A recent ex convict named Leo Grainer lives secluded on Fog Island with the daughter of his murdered wife. Van Helsing visits Denham in his headquarters (built on the church yard where Dracula died in the previous film) and discovers that he is actually Count Dracula. He tries to shoot Dracula with a silver bullet, but is beaten by the Count's conspirators.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou is a 2004 American comedy-drama film written by Wes Anderson and Noah Baumbach and directed by Anderson. It is Anderson's fourth feature-length film and was released in the United States on December 25, 2004. The film stars Bill Murray as the eponymous Steve Zissou, an eccentric oceanographer who sets out to exact revenge on the "jaguar shark" that ate his partner Esteban. Some Roman units began the battle without orders to do so, believing they would have an easy victory, and perhaps over-eager to exact revenge on the Goths after two years of unchecked devastation throughout the Balkans. The imperial scholae of shield-archers under the command of the Iberian prince Bacurius attacked, but lacking support they were easily pushed back.

Hell on Wheels is an American dramatic television series created and produced by Joe and Tony Gayton. Around the same time Metcalfe's son, Thomas Humphrey Metcalfe, arrived in the Hawaiian Islands, at Kawaihae Bay, in command of the , a small schooner owned by his father. His voyage to the Hawaiian Islands had been delayed because the Fair American and its crew had been seized by the Spanish Navy during the Nootka Crisis. The younger Metcalfe's vessel was captured by Chief Kameʻeiamoku, who had been insulted and flogged by Simon Metcalfe earlier that year. Kameeiamoku had vowed to exact revenge on whatever ship next came his way, and by chance that ship turned out to be the Fair American.

He discovers that the second man, Bartosz, was participating under duress, as his sister Kaja was being forced into prostitution and he had been caught trying to find her, and the two of them decide to team up to rescue Kaja and exact revenge on the persons responsible.

Dodger attempted to exact revenge on the Galactic Guardians on his brother's behalf when Roger was dismissed from the Guardians(also saying he was attacking Betty's reputation as Roger had a crush on her), however, Roger's own actions in preventing it led to his being reinstated and now Atomic Dodger wants revenge on both Galactic Guardians and his brother.

In school, Dawes takes interest mostly in disorderly behavior; he idolizes and befriends the profane and often obnoxious Ronnie Crown, and to some extent emulates Crown's rebelliousness. In one climactic moment, Dawes, Crown, and a friend exact revenge on a Cedar Rapids neighbor by blowing up her garage with a stick of dynamite. After the explosion, the three boys evade the police by hiding in empty coffins in a nearby building.
It is hinted that she was the one who assisted Momoka in locating Ange as she later tries to secretly contact her using her mana asking her whether or not she has found Ange yet but was "caught and taken away" before Ange could speak to her. This is later revealed to be a trick to lure Ange back home so that Sylvia can exact revenge on her sister. She later discovers Liza's secret and is captured by her. Eventually, Ange reveals that Sylvia's wounds have been healed and that she did not attempt to walk because of the trauma, forcing her sister to walk once again.
As Cole was fond of other animals, he was shocked to discover that the Orgs were literally heartless horned monsters. As the series continues, he finds out the truth about his real parents, Richard and Elizabeth Evans, who were professors at Turtle Cove University, along with a family friend, Dr. Viktor Adler, who was secretly in love with Elizabeth. When they were sent to the jungle for research, they discover the remains of Master Org, in which a jealous Adler consumes in order to exact revenge on Richard, who had proposed to Elizabeth before he could. However, Adler goes insane, and kills both Richard and Elizabeth.
The death of mutant fashion designer Jumbo Carnation prompts Quire to gather a small group of students to exact revenge on Carnation's murderers. The Omega Gang symbol At Quire's request, all members tattoo themselves with a symbol formed by an Omega with an X below it and dress up with red-and-black striped shirts, jeans and whips. This is an outfit designed by Carnation himself and based on an illustration from an anti-mutant article written by Bolivar Trask many years ago, which portrayed mutants enslaving the human race. The Omega Gang members also consume the drug Kick in order to boost their powers.

His main purpose in putting together the cruise was to exact revenge on all of his supposed enemies at once. Invited on the cruise were Isabella Toscano (Staci Greason), John Black (believed to be Roman Brady) (Drake Hogestyn), Bo Brady (Peter Reckell), Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso), Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), Jennifer Horton (Melissa Brennan Reeves), Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), and Ernesto's #1 enemy Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). Ernesto used his love of magic tricks to deceive and terrorize his passengers.
His father Vern Schillinger is an inmate who runs the Aryan Brotherhood within Oz. An amoral drug addict, Hank, like his younger brother Andrew, has been raised on white supremacist ideology by his father and grandfather. Hank was involved in several drug related issues on the outside and even sells out his girlfriend to black pimp Curtis Bennett as a means of paying back a debt. At the request of Tobias Beecher, Hank visits with Vern, who uses him in a revenge scheme to kidnap Beecher's children. The kidnapping results in the death of Beecher's son Gary and prompts Beecher to hire the Italian inmates to exact revenge on Hank.

The U.S. deployed nearly 4,000 troops in response to the tensions, and Israel heightened its security levels.

Wolverine breaks free and kills Genesis along with nearly all of the Dark Riders.
In January, Dennis catches Den and his girlfriend Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) in bed together and tells Chrissie who is stunned. Zoe discovers she is pregnant by Den. Chrissie persuades her to abort the baby, and later reveals that she knows it was Den's baby. Together, Chrissie and Zoe team up with their friend Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) to exact revenge on Den for good; Chrissie for his lies and adultery, Zoe for forcing her to fake a pregnancy and then sleep with him, and Sam for losing her pub to Den in a corrupt scheme that both he and Chrissie were involved in.

Moments later, the remaining members search Tinker Bell's lair and come up empty but discover Regina's handkerchief, now that they realized that Tinker Bell had been following them so she can exact revenge on Regina. At another location, Regina discovers that she is now at the mercy of Tinker Bell, who has a knife laced with Dreamshade pointed at her. Tinker Bell tells Regina that she was responsible for losing her powers and for betraying her. In an on-line documentary, Graver explained the difficulties in making the picture for less than $250,000 and how those difficulties were exacerbated by a two week filming schedule. Graver, who died in 2006, also explained how the executive producer, Moshe Diamant, continually interfered with the project and significantly altered Robert Aiken’s screenplay. The original story line described how the veterans had burned down a Vietnamese temple dedicated to a “snake goddess” and that years later, a young Vietnamese child came to the United States to exact revenge on the soldiers. Father's Day is a 2011 American-Canadian action-horror comedy film directed by Adam Brooks, Jeremy Gillespie, Matthew Kennedy, Steven Kostanski and Conor Sweeney (collectively known as Astron-6). The film stars Brooks as Ahab, a man determined to exact revenge on Chris Fuchman, the Father's Day Killer, a rapist and serial killer who murdered his father years ago. Originally made as a short film, the feature-length version had its world premiere on October 21, 2011 at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, where it received multiple awards. A documentary detailing the film's production process entitled No Sleep, No Surrender was teased in 2012 (although it has yet to be officially released).

Akelarre was a 1984 Spanish film by Pedro Olea about these trials. The town of Zugarramurdi now celebrates the witches with a feast by the cave on Midsummer's eve, June 23, the folk date for the summer solstice. The Basque witch trials are also featured as a subplot in Season 4 of the HBO series True Blood, when the spirit of a powerful witch Antonia Gavilán, fed upon, tortured, and condemned to death by vampire priests in the city of Logroño in 1610, takes possession of a modern-day Wiccan in order to exact revenge on vampires.
He was reportedly a cruel and violent governor who murdered for sport. From the very first day of his arrival in Egypt, when he confiscated his finance minister and advisors' temporary tents for his own, Hüseyin Pasha began a series of actions that made him widely disliked by the local populace. He brought with him to Egypt a large number of Druzes, who committed robberies in Cairo, the capital, and his men extorted money from the locals for an upcoming feast celebrating his arrival. Hüseyin Pasha was also involved in stealing wealthy locals' inheritances, so much so that it became a reliable way to exact revenge on an enemy by reporting to the Pasha that he or she had received an inheritance from a relative.
The safe containing the money is locked and only Professor Xantos (Rey) knows the combination. Xantos is the leader of a student counter-revolution that opposes violence, and is held in a prison by the United States army just across the border in Yuma, after he tried to find funding from the US and did not agree to give the monopoly of his country's entire oil wealth in return. El Vasco dislikes the suit-wearing Peterson and calls him a "penguin", but at the suggestion of General Mongo, the two reluctantly join forces and set out to capture Xantos. Their task is made harder by the American army and a wooden-armed American named John (Palance), who wants to exact revenge on Peterson, his former business partner.

After getting an ultrasound at the hospital, Boom shows up at the restaurant where Prathan's daughter is celebrating her birthday and informs him that the sum of money he had given her was not enough. He pulls her outside and hits her, tossing a wad of cash at her and warning her not to come near his family again. Furious, Boom enlists the aid of a black magic user to exact revenge on her ex-lover and his entire family, notably causing the eldest son to shoot his girlfriend and his little sister before turning the gun on himself.

While McCain's guards try and stop him, Alex blows up the Simba Dam, killing them and flooding the valley, destroying the poisoned crops before the RAF can arrive.
The storyline brought two particular additions to the revamped version of Anarky; the first being that this new version of Anarky is portrayed as an African American; the second being to preserve the character's anonymity, as Anarky escapes custody at the end of the story without an identity behind the mask being revealed. Another version of Anarky debuted in the post-New 52 Detective Comics series, written by Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato. This character isn't the same Anarky that appeared in "Batman: Zero Year", but rather a corrupt politician named Sam Young who used the Anarky persona to exact revenge on the Mad Hatter for murdering his sister. A female version of Anarky from the alternate reality of Earth-Two was introduced in Earth 2: Society's 2015 story line, "Godhood", by Daniel H. Wilson.

She eventually woke up and managed to escape recently and plan an exact revenge on the present day Sirius organization. Eliza still has difficulty in controlling her sleep and will fall asleep even in the middle of fights; however, she can potentially recover her health while doing so. Tekken 7 is her main series playable debut, where she utilizes a similar playstyle to Akuma from Street Fighter, such as having 2D-area fighting game mechanics like jumping attacks and special cancels, and Street Fighter-styled Super meter, referred to as a "Blood" gauge.
With the other members of their gang, they were sent out to stop a Channel 6 reporter named April O'Neil from doing a report about crime in the city. April ran down into the sewers while being chased by the street gang and met the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who then defeated the gang in a fight. After this humiliating setback, The Shredder developed a plan to defeat the Turtles by mutating members of the street gang that Rocksteady and Bebop are a part of so that they would have abilities greater than the Turtles'. Rocksteady and Bebop both volunteered to undergo the procedure first (though neither was particularly aware of what it would entail) with the promise that it would allow them to exact revenge on the Turtles.
Afterwards, the heroes form an uneasy alliance with the villains to defeat Loki and Galactus, ultimately opening a portal and sending them through it. As Nick Fury recovers the Tesseract, and Galactus and Loki end up in an unknown region of space, whereupon the former vows to exact revenge on Loki for using him, the heroes give the villains a head start to avoid capture. Later, with his board rebuilt, Silver Surfer recovers his powers and leaves Earth, promising to lead Galactus far away. As an unmodified clone of Jango Fett, Boba has free will and a normal aging rate, but nonetheless shows sympathy towards fellow clone troopers, who were used as soldiers by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. Aside from the films, Boba appears in various canon and non-canon Star Wars media, such as books, comics, television series, and video games, many of which depict his adventures post-Return of the Jedi, revealing that the character survived his apparent death in the film. Logan reprised his role as Boba in the 2008 animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which depicts the character's roots as a bounty hunter and his failed attempts to exact revenge on Mace Windu for murdering Jango.

After being released by Eggman, Shadow breaks into a museum to steal an Emerald, which gets Sonic arrested. Amy rescues him, but Shadow, Eggman, and the duplicitous Rouge escape to the Space Colony ARK, where Eggman threatens to use a weapon called the Eclipse Cannon to destroy Earth unless they submit to his rule; he blows up half of the Moon to prove his power. Eggman collects the Emeralds to power the Cannon, but this triggers a program Gerald set up decades ago, which will cause Space Colony ARK to hurtle into Earth, destroying the planets in less than half an hour. Gerald did this in order to exact revenge on humanity, who he blamed for the death of his Granddaughter Maria after she was killed in a government raid on the Space Colony ARK.
After five years of being on the run overseas from the Central Intelligence Agency, Court Gentry comes to Washington, D.C., to seek answers about him being burned by the CIA. With Court surfacing in the nation's capital, CIA National Clandestine Service (NCS) head Denny Carmichael, who has been hunting him for five years through the Violator Working Group, organizes a citywide manhunt, fearing that he has come to exact revenge on him for the sanction. Among the new players in the hunt is Suzanne Brewer, a CIA senior officer whose expertise is the security of the agency. Carmichael also enlists the help of Saudi intelligence through its Washington station chief, Murquin "Kaz" al-Kazaz, as well as Court's former team leader from the CIA Golf Sierra paramilitary force, Zack Hightower.
He makes Tsai Sungu promise to keep his life at a standstill until he has avenged his half-sister. Tsai then hands the blood- stained scythe to the boy before passing away. Tsai Sungu sits outside the wall to his father’s home for days, worrying his mother who builds a small roof over him to keep him protected from the harsh sun. One day, a strange man driving a carriage passes by, asking to speak with Tsai’s family. The boy presents himself as Tsai’s son and the man reveals himself to be the instructor, Yan. He taunts Tsai’s first wife, who informs the boy that the man is the one he is to exact revenge on. As the carriage departs, the healer who aided Yan during Tsai’s quest is revealed to be seated in the carriage.
Coulson, Fitz and Robbie are trapped out of sync with reality, unable to interact with the real world, with no-one else able to see, hear or touch them. They are being drawn to another dimension, which Robbie describes as Hell, revealing that the Ghost Rider spirit has been there before. Killing several agents using his new powers, Morrow escapes, while the Ghost Rider spirit, unwilling to return to 'Hell', abandons Robbie and instead possesses Mack, just as he learns Morrow was allied with the Chinese Watchdogs, having recruited them to retrieve the ghost scientists and find the Darkhold. Mack hunts down the remaining Chinese gang members, and Daisy pursues him, unknowingly accompanied by Robbie, who convinces the spirit to return to him and help him exact revenge on Morrow, in exchange for Robbie continuing to serve as the spirit's host afterwards.

In the episode, Liz Lemon (Fey) returns for the final episode of TGS and is thrown into a world of chaos: Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) has quit his job and appears to be on the verge of suicide, Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan) is attempting to stop the episode going ahead, because he is due a payout from the network if the episode doesn't happen, and Lutz (John Lutz) is attempting to use his turn to pick lunch for the writers as an opportunity to exact revenge on them for constantly picking on him. Meanwhile, Kenneth Parcell (Jack McBrayer) attempts to extract some genuine emotion from Jenna Maroney (Jane Krakowski), as she readies her final song for the show. Together, "Hogcock!" and "Last Lunch" received universal acclaim from critics.
Having discovered that Scrivener is no longer Sparky's favourite author, Scrivener takes the role of The Scribe in order to exact revenge on Sparky's new favorite author, Lola Polaris (which, in turn, is the pen name of Sparky's mother Zulia). Though having lost the magical quill pen in an encounter with Betty and X-5, The Scribe manages to kidnap Zulia and hold her hostage in an isolated cabin on Glaces. Zulia is ultimately freed by Sparky (desperate to save his mother) and Iciclia (who is a fan of Lola Polaris), and The Scribe is ultimately imprisoned in his own book. The Scribe would make a reappearance in "Fairytale Fate", when he attempts to imprison Betty, Noah, Sparky, and X-5 in his work of mixed-up fairy tales, where every story sees a character modeled after Betty meeting her doom.
Mitch agrees to stay, and Chris suggests that their first priority is to exact revenge on Kent (by placing his car in his dorm room cycling the Citroën's air suspension so it appears to be sleeping). As the project is still lagging, the CIA continues to put pressure on Hathaway to produce the laser. Hathaway, now intimidated and afraid, angrily informs Chris that he is no longer of any use to him and that he is not only off the project, but that he intends to fail Chris in his final course needed for graduation. To further add insult to injury, he is giving a coveted "after-graduation" job, which was promised to Chris, to Kent instead and will take steps to ensure that Chris will never be able to find work in the field of laser physics.
Petrov and Nickerson had dropped a number of hints to Victor and other Salemites that John might be the presumed-dead Roman Brady, a police captain and former ISA agent of high value due to his abilities and knowledge of various highly classified subjects (and who was actually being held captive by Stefano at the time). Indeed, using the brainwashing techniques learned from Petrov, Stefano had implanted enough facts from Roman's life into John's subconscious that he was able to convince everyone, including John himself, that he was in fact Roman Brady, for a period of over five years. Stefano did this to exact revenge on Roman's family, with whom it was later revealed Stefano's father had a longstanding vendetta. John eventually located the dying Yo Ling, who held John and fellow Phantom Alliance acolyte Eduardo Hernandez captive for a time.
In Scream 3, this is taken further by Roman Bridger (Scott Foley) who uses a device that enables him to sound like several other characters, in order to manipulate targets. The changing identity of the person beneath the mask means that Ghostface has no definite motivation, ranging from revenge and seeking fame to "peer pressure". However, each killer shares the common goal of killing Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) due to a chain of events indirectly caused by her mother Maureen (Lynn McRee); Billy and Stu created the identity in the first place to exact revenge on Sidney because of her mother's affair with Billy's father. The Ghostface persona remains the same throughout the Scream series, featuring a black hood and cloak with a jagged base and a white rubber-mask resembling a ghost with a screaming expression.
Kathy later learns from Phil that Luke attacked Ben, and the trio later find out from Ian about James' plan - further discovering that Max had in fact been conspiring with James to exact revenge on Walford for being disbelieved over the fact that Bobby killed Lucy and how the impact had led him to be wrongfully imprisoned for Lucy's murder. Kathy is later angry with Ian when she finds out from Luke that Weyland owns the café. Kathy confronts Fi over what James did to her and about all the women James has destroyed, including her own mother. Kathy refuses to go into work and when she spills some hot food, Ian catches her making her hands sore through cleaning and Kathy breaks down to Ian, admitting she has not overcome what James has done to her.
He then went on to proceed in forming a close friendship with his colleague Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas); instigate a feud with Shelley's ex-husband Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) after assaulting him; embark on an affair with Jason's girlfriend Maria Sutherland (Samia Smith); attempt to drown local teenager David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) in retribution for the latter trying to blackmail him; and repeatedly clashes with Maria's best friend Claire Peacock (Julia Haworth) over his antagonistic nature. In his exit storyline, Charlie recoups his once-broken romance with Peter's stepsister Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) - who, unbeknownst to him, is plotting to exact revenge on the character after discovering the extent of his affairs and deceit. This ultimately results in Tracy attacking Charlie with an ornament, which consequently results in Charlie being hospitalised and later dying of his injuries.
A vengeful Jackie has Cole's life support plug pulled in hospital, and then goes to Gypsy Town where Tatoya lives and attempts to kill her, only to have Tatoya kill her by throwing her down a flight of stairs. Meanwhile, William wakes up in the warehouse of a Russian scientist named Dr. Ivan Ivanovich Ivanov, and his idiotic assistant Pavel, who had taken damaged parts of William's brain and replaced it with healthy tissue from Yegor's. When William runs out of the warehouse, he discovers he can hear Yegor's voice in his head, and they both plan to "get the woman that killed us both". Jackie, who had also been picked up by Dr. Ivanov and Pavel, has her brain put inside a robot, and so she escapes and also plans to exact revenge on Tatoya.
In the 20th century, the god takes the body of the family's young heir, a teenager named , and strikes the Earth with incessant rains to cleanse it of humans, whom he considers evil and unworthy of the blessings of the gods. He wishes to build a utopian society on top of the ruins once all humans are eradicated and to exact revenge on Athena for having sealed his soul after their last battle, two thousand years before. To this end, he holds Athena hostage in his Undersea Temple with the help of his army. He is ultimately sealed by Athena in her amphora, but later proves that he is not an evil deity, as he awakens briefly to help the Bronze Saints fight Hypnos and Thanatos in the Hades arc by sending them the Gold Cloths.
He also twice stops to offer Hyacinth and Richard lifts when he spots them stranded on the side of the road, and agrees to try to counsel her sister Violet in the episode "Skis", though Violet is unwilling to go through with it. The vicar likes Onslow and Daisy and is always glad to see them, and more than once has been to their house to help with various issues (such as a ghost in Daddy's bedroom, or Rose being depressed). However, he has made no secret of the fact he dislikes Hyacinth's father, famously standing up to Hyacinth in the episode "The Father Christmas Suit" to demand she take her inebriated and nearly-nude father away from the church Christmas gathering 'as soon as possible'. Only once did the vicar try to exact revenge on Hyacinth, in the episode "Senior Citizen's Outing".
A year after Doctor Octopus' death, Spider-Man stops a new gang, the H-Bombers, from blowing up the Carlyle building. The next day, Peter Parker explains that the city finally sees Spider-Man as a hero and there has been no major threat recently, though new problems arise in the form of Eddie Brock, Peter's rival at the Daily Bugle, Harry Osborn, who blames Spider-Man for his father's death, and new gangs terrorizing the city: the H-Bombers, the Apocalypse, the Arsenic Candies, and the Dragon Tail. However, these gangs don't prove to be too much of a threat, as Spider-Man easily foils their plans on multiple occasions. At the same time, an alien symbiote inside a meteor crashes in Central Park and attaches itself to Peter's shoe, who was there with his girlfriend, Mary Jane Watson, and Harry becomes the New Goblin to exact revenge on Peter.
Originally a Nightsister of Dathomir who was sold as a slave, she later became a Jedi Padawan, and eventually an informal Sith apprentice to Count Dooku after falling to the dark side of the Force as a result of her Jedi Master's death in battle. Trained as Dooku's personal assassin, Ventress was assigned various missions during the first years of the Clone Wars and came into conflict with the Jedi, primarily Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Ahsoka Tano. However, after being betrayed and left for dead by Dooku on the orders of his master, Darth Sidious, Ventress rejoined the Nightsisters and attempted to exact revenge on Dooku, before settling on becoming a bounty hunter. She later began to slowly redeem herself, helping her former Jedi enemies on several occasions, and was eventually completely redeemed the 2015 novel Star Wars: Dark Disciple, though Dooku killed her not long after.

Blackest Night: Superman #1 (October 2009) Nekron uses the Anti-Monitor as a physical power source within the Black Power Battery. It is alluded to in several comics and "Origins and Omens" backstories that it is the Anti-Monitor's desire for the end of humanity that made him the primary candidate to become the Battery's power supply following his betrayal and subsequent murder at the hands of Superboy-Prime during the Sinestro Corps War. Antonio "Tony" Montana is the main character in Scarface and the video game Scarface: The World Is Yours, portrayed by Al Pacino in the film and by André Sogliuzzo in the video game. Oliver Stone came up with the name by combining the last name of his then-favorite football player (Joe Montana) and the first name from the main character of the 1932 film version, Tony Camonte, played by Paul Muni. In the film's ending Tony Montana's mansion was raided by Alex Sosa's (Alejandro Sosa's) gang in retribution for not killing a Bolivian anti-drug journalist with his wife and children, resulting in his death, but in the video game Tony Montana could survive the assault, regain his criminal empire and exact revenge on Sosa. In the game and the movie, Tony carries an M16 rifle with an M203 grenade launcher strapped to the barrel.
Now faced with his mentor having to leave in disgrace, Mitch uses the same logic and reasoning used by Chris on him to convince Chris to stay and persevere, and with help from Lazlo and their other smart friends, the two commit themselves to attain their goal with the laser and for Chris to pass Hathaway's final exam and graduate. Their hard work and dedication begin to pay off, and they are close to achieving their objective. Chris passes the exam, but in a final effort to humiliate and exact revenge on Chris and Mitch, Kent sabotages their latest apparatus, which showed the promise of succeeding, but inadvertently gives himself away as the perpetrator. Unable to actually prove it was Kent, Chris is left to brood over the injustice, and in a moment of inspiration, he comes up with a whole new approach to the design problem.
In it, Hal loses his beloved brother, Jack Jordan, to a supernatural assassin. After the series ended, Jordan was forced to return, temporarily, to the Spectre's mission of vengeance, following a confrontation between the new Justice Society of America and the Spirit King, an old foe of the Spectre and Mister Terrific, who had managed to "resurrect" the ghosts of all those the Spectre had damned to Hell when Jordan's attempt to turn the Spectre's mission to redemption weakened his hold on the damned, until Hal 'accepted' his original mission of vengeance. During the Identity Crisis storyline, Green Arrow visits Jordan at his grave, asking to exact revenge on Sue Dibny's killer. Although Hal admits knowing the culprit's identity, he refused as the Spectre to a higher purpose, and implying to Oliver that the killer would eventually be caught, thus explaining the Spectre's inaction.

Lun had long wished to betray the empress, but Sun Xiu convinced him to wait until Yu was out of the way, arguing that because of Lun's reputed loyalty to the empress, Lun's actions would only lead to the accession of Yu, who would then exact revenge on Lun himself. With Lun's encouragement, the empress murdered Yu. Lun then produced an edict allegedly from Emperor Hui, arrested Empress Jia and put her under house arrest, and later forced her to commit suicide by drinking gold powered wine. Lun, again by way of forged imperial edict, first appointed himself as Grand Vizier, and in 301, crowned himself emperor, putting Emperor Hui under house arrest.
Sun Bak-Yeung's father, Sun Qinghwa, found out about his son's death when a raven carried his son's jade band and dropped it right in front of him as he waited for his son in the wilderness. On-Seen, whose plan to exact revenge on the Empress for her grandmother's death was scuppered, hatched plans to leave the Palace with Kong-Wu and Yi-Sun, who had lost all will to live in the Palace after her adoptive father, Xu Wan Tian, died. At the same time, The Consort Yu (Yu-Yuet) was also invited to leave by the trio, but she refused to because she entered the Palace at the age of 16, and was unaccustomed to normal civilian life.
