River Valley Technical Center is a career and technical school located in Springfield, Vermont. It offers an education that prepares students to be career and college ready. The National Skill Development Agency (NSDA) attempts to increase Employability of Youth in India. It is a fully autonomous body, constituted on the approval of Union Cabinet of India. On May 9, 2013, the Union Cabinet gave its nod to form NSDA. The Union Cabinet of India held a meeting on January 31, 2013 in which the proposal for building the National Skill Development Agency (NSDA) was first endorsed, after the suggested plan was reviewed by a Group of Ministers.
A foundational concept of the social employee is the idea of the personal or employee brand. This concept first gained popular attention in a 1997 FastCompany article by business leader Tom Peters titled "The Brand Called You". In the article, Peters argued that the premium placed on branding impacted workers' lives to such an extent that creating and cultivating a distinct personal brand had become a professional necessity. According to Peters, doing so built trust, loyalty, visibility, influence, and employability.

It produces the NSB Management Review (NMR), a half-yearly journal which publishes theoretical and empirical research papers and articles of relevance to both academicians and practitioners. The programmes it offers include the PGPBM (Post-Graduate Program in Business Management), MBA and Diplomas in French and German Language. It also offers IMPRESS — Life Skills & Employability Training Program which offers business skills such as team building, leadership, etc.
SCC's Placement and Career Guidance Cell assists students to explore employment opportunities and new career avenues. A full-time officer supervises the training and placement programs in the campus. The Cell helps in the professional development of the students by training them towards employability skills such as resume building, group discussion, and interview skills which in turn helps the students to move into a desired profession. A good portion of the training is carried out by experts from industries and the corporate world.
Chinese officials did not acknowledge the existence of any sort of detention camps, but in November 2019 the detention centers were confirmed by the leaked Xinjiang papers, and are contributing to the genocide of Uyghurs. The Chinese government claims that Uyghurs are being sent to vocational training centers in order to prevent the spread of extremism and to increase their employability. In 1991, the U.S. government estimated that about one million people were being held in the re-education camps, mainly Uyghurs.

Due to corruption in most parts of Cambodia's institutions, the education institution is not spared. Although there is an increasing awareness of the importance of education which directly correlates with employability, citizens are merely attending schools for the sake of obtaining paper qualifications. There is no great impetus to learn and to increase one's productivity. During the 2012–13 academic year UCAT served over 35,000 part and full-time students. About 25% of UCAT's students are high school-age students who spend part of their day learning technical skills at regional applied technology college campus. The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) Multilateral Recognition Arrangements (MLA) consists of an agreement between accreditation bodies for mutual recognition of accreditations. The objective of the IAF MLA is to ensure that the personnel certifications granted by signatories of the IAF MLA can be recognized by other signatories, increasing the worldwide employability of the certified professionals. Mutual recognition is based on peer evaluations between signatories to ensure each other's personnel certifications are equivalent and that each certified professional can perform the required tasks.
The new online curriculum has 15 project-based learning experiences; these provide real-world context for the essential elements of the SkillsUSA Framework of developing personal, workplace and technical skills grounded in academics. The ranking indicates how well students from a university can gain a foothold on the global job market. This year (2019), NSU is among the top 2 in Bangladesh, and one of the top 500 universities on an international scale. The university ranked 301–350 in the "Asian University Rankings" published by QS World University Rankings.
Victoria Park has also been used for employability training to help improve the town's unemployment figures and has an after-school programme which teaches children literacy and numeracy skills. The ground was the home of Pitch Invasion Festival in May 2012. It saw around 5,000 people attend the two-day event which had live music across two stages and a small funfair. James Arthur played the festival with his band a few months before he won talent show The X Factor.
Audrey Cheng is a Taiwanese-American entrepreneur. Cheng is co-founder and CEO of Moringa School, a learning accelerator headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya that teaches skills like coding to African youth to increase their employability potential and launch their careers. The first Moringa School opened in Kenya in 2015 and has expanded to Hong Kong, Pakistan, and Ghana. Cheng was recognized in 2016 by the World Economic Forum for her work as one of the Top Female Innovators in Africa.
The members of staff manage the interdisciplinary education of HTW students, in order to ensure their employability later on. On the one hand, this is facilitated by students participating in (and obtaining key qualifications from) the course offers available for their area of study, and by receiving training from the Language Centre. The VQTS project was closely aligned with the aims of the Copenhagen Process wherein the EU countries declared their willingness to foster employability and lifelong learning in Europe by strengthening cooperation and increasing mobility in vocational education and training (VET). According to the ‘Copenhagen Process’, it should be possible to utilise competences acquired through formal, non-formal and informal learning throughout Europe. The VQTS model is one of the best instruments to implement ECVET and increase the (international) transparency and comparability of qualifications and training offers.
Soccer in the Streets was founded in 1989 and works with nearly 2,000 youth each year. The organization empowers underserved youth through soccer, character development, mentoring, and employability programs. Throughout the 1990s, Soccer in the Streets introduced soccer to many urban and underserved communities through soccer clinics, especially during the 1994 and 1998 FIFA World Cups and the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup. In recent years, Soccer in the Streets has developed programming geared towards preparing youth for success on and off the field.

The PBYRC was created in 2002 to create youth programmes for Jordan's substantial unemployed or marginalised youth populations. The group has so far created Radio Farah al Nas (a community radio station that focuses on women's rights, youth issues, and providing helpful information for refugees), three employability centres, three ICT clubhouses, debate clubs, film clubs, science labs, and other miscellaneous programmes that teach life and work skills. The busy centre works exclusively with young 10-24 year old Jordanians from a range of backgrounds.
Envision partnered with TechnoServe and Department of Home, Central Tibetan Administration in a USAID funded economic development for Tibetans programme to counsel, train and place Tibetans in jobs in 2012. Under this project, Envision has offered counseling, job readiness trainings and job placement assistance to unemployed youth. This was followed up with a six-month project with the Department of Home of the Central Tibetan Administration which ended in July 2014. Envision provides career guidance in the form of individual counseling as well as employability skills trainings.

Sponsored by Queen Rania, INJAZ was established in 1999 as a project under the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded organization Save the Children. In the early stages the project encountered opposition, notably in Ma'an; it was re-launched in 2001 by Soraya Salti as an independent non-profit. Its activities reached over 100,000 school students in Jordan during the 2010-11 academic year. Its aim is to meet a perceived need for vocational training, providing young people with entrepreneurship skills and enhancing their employability.

The Canadian-based news magazine Maclean's ranked the university fifth in its 2021 Medical-Doctoral Canadian university rankings. Queen's also placed in several rankings that evaluated the employment prospects of graduates. In QS's 2019 graduate employability rankings, the university ranked 101–110 in the world and sixth in Canada. UCLan has established one of the UK's largest paid undergraduate research internship schemes. Since the scheme launched in 2008, nearly 450 interns have worked directly alongside UCLan researchers on projects as diverse as digital publishing, wind power analysis, facial composite development and smart bandage exploration. Interns have presented work at international conferences and won awards for their research. The initiative enhances a variety of academic and employability skills, leading to some fantastic outputs including presentations at the Houses of Parliament and published journal articles.

In 2011, a project called the Spoken English Skills and Capacity Building Training programme was introduced in four districts of Bihar state for high-school teachers employed by the government. British Lingua was also commissioned by the Government of Bihar to implement the first Spoken English Skills project for Dalit and Mahadalit youths with an aim to enhance their employability skills and lifestyles. The Government of Delhi also used the services of British Lingua for the 2010 Commonwealth Games to train the Delhi Home Guards in spoken English and behavioural skills.
One of the youth unemployment issues in South Korea is youth inactiveness, where there are growing numbers of inactive youth, defined as the NEET(Not in Education Employment or Training). The youth in South Korea prefer high education to increase and develop their employability in the labor market rather than seeking jobs, which leads them to become inactive. The reaffirming factors that reduce the chance of employment include: socioeconomic status, household characteristics, and family income. Since 2009, the size of youth NEET is about 20%, higher than the OECD average.

Despite this progress, however, numerous challenges remain, as student enrollments in public universities are projected to increase by about 6.6 percent annually, reaching approximately 470,000 (all categories) in 2010, while at the same time, the quality and relevance of education are in need of updating. At 2 percent of GDP, public spending on higher education is already higher than in most countries in the world. Unemployment among university graduates is increasing and the employability of graduates in modern, export-oriented sectors is weak.

It was founded in 1907 by entrepreneur Alexei Vishnyakov as the first finance-specialized college in the Russian Empire. During the Soviet rule it became a large university, recognized worldwide as one of the most prestigious. Plekhanov Russian University of Economics is consistently ranked as one of the top 10 universities in Moscow, and is every year included in QS World University Rankings, as well as in top 200 worldwide by employability of the students after graduation.
Community Connections - Life after graduation includes the world of work and community responsibilities. As part of Graduation Transitions, students gain employability skills through participation in at least 30 hours of work experience and/or community service. Career and Life - Graduation Transitions requires students to explore personal and career goals during their secondary school years and create a plan for life after graduation. Transition planning is an ongoing process throughout the graduation program years and requires the completion of a transition plan, culminating in a final Grade 12 presentation.

There was some minor allowance for the preferences of migrants, but consistent refusals of work offers could result in loss of social service benefits. Men were classified as 'labourers' and women as 'domestics'; many were frustrated by the ignorance of trade, professional, and skill qualifications and were expected to start work as simple labourers, though some received award wages.
In 2015, Hertfordshire has adopted a policy of naming its buildings after people or organisations with a significant local or regional impact. These include Kate Bellingham, British engineer and television presenter and Alistair Spalding, Chief Executive and Artistic Director of Sadler's Wells Theatre. All of the halls are being named after influential alumni who the University feels represent the attributes of Hertfordshire graduates. In these two cases, the halls were named in recognition of Bellingham and Spalding's attributes of, intellectual depth and adaptability and professionalism, employability and enterprise.

Between 2012 and 2016 Kerr chaired the Ethnic Minority Employment Stakeholder Group (EMESG), advising the Government on issues and employment barriers facing individuals fro minority ethnic backgrounds. In 2014 Kerr chaired the Trustee Board for Elevation Networks, an award-winning charity for the development of leadership and employability of young persons. In 2015, the Royal Society invited Sandra Kerr to become a member (2015-2021) of their Diversity Committee. In 2018, Sandra Kerr was named as one of the panelists comprising a Cabinet Office task-force to create a public leadership center.
Northumberland College is a further education college based in Ashington, Northumberland, England. The present site opened in 1957, and became the County Technical College in 1961, transformed again in 1987, becoming the Northumberland College of Arts and Technology, and finally settled upon its current status in 1995. It has a main campus in Ashington in the south east of the County and additional centres at Kirkley Hall, Hexham and Berwick. The youth unemployment rate in Syria stood at 19 percent in 2003. The current system is unable to provide with the skills and competencies demanded in the labor market. Therefore, there is a need to connect education institutions, especially higher education and vocational institutes, to the labor market and to align the curricula with skills that could increase employability of the graduates. Apart from improving the curriculum the government needs to make major infrastructure adjustments to absorb the rising population of the country into the already burdened education system.
Provincial Accounts of Pakistan: Methodology and Estimates 1973–2000 Called "The Granary of India" or "The Bread Basket of India," Indian Punjab produces 1% of the world's rice, 2% of its wheat, and 2% of its cotton. In 2001, it was recorded that farmers made up 39% of Indian Punjab's workforce. Alternatively, Punjab is also adding to the economy with the increase in employment of Punjab youth in the private sector. Government schemes such as 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission' have brought enhanced employability in the private sector.

The Microsoft Student Learn Ambassadors (formerly called Microsoft Student Partners) is a worldwide recognizable program to sponsor students majoring in disciplines related to technology. The MSP program enhances students' employability by offering training in skills not usually taught in academia, including knowledge of Microsoft technologies. The program is available in most countries, and all students in college and university level are eligible to apply. If accepted, Student Partners are assumed to further share the knowledge among the academic community by, for example, arranging courses, giving presentations and initiating projects.

In addition to vocational learning outcomes associated with the study of electronics and control systems, graduates of electronics technician programs are also expected to have essential employability skills and meet certain general education learning outcomes. From 4 March 2019, the Coldside Library will close for about 6 months during extensive user building accessibility renovations. The plans have received approval from Historic Environment Scotland and the total budget for the project comes to £716,000. The plans include the addition of new features to improve disabled access such as a lower front desk, accessible toilets with baby changing facilities and the installation of a lift to give access to the upper floor of the building. There will also be the addition of a meeting room for employability services and an improved lighting system throughout the building.

The Yellow Ribbon Culinary Programme is organised by YRP to allow inmates an opportunity to improve their culinary skills through a certified training course to earn certificated qualification. The certifications seek to help increase inmates' employability after their release. Graduation ceremonies were held in 2010 and 2012 to present inmate-graduates with the Certificate in Basic Culinary Skills Course, conducted by SHATEC Institutes. Under the Yellow Ribbon Culinary Programme, the Yellow Ribbon Culinary Competition was first held in 2007 as part of the Yellow Ribbon Creative Festival which aims to give inmates the opportunity to acquire culinary skills.

In seeking to address the level of vulnerable employment, TVET systems have focused on increasing the employability of graduates and enhancing their capacity to function effectively within existing vulnerable labour markets and to adjust to other labour market constraints. This has meant enhanced coordination among government departments responsible for TVET and employment policies. It has also created the need for TVET systems to develop mechanisms that identify skills needs early on and make better use of labour market information for matching skills demands and supply. TVET systems have focused more on developing immediate job skills and wider competencies.
Almost equally impossible to assess are the activities that are undertaken as pilot projects within programmes that on the surface have nothing to do with the issue of placements abroad. An example of this is the Eurojoker project, which was financed out of funds from the EU Konver II initiative. In this project (duration March 1999 – May 2000) young unemployed persons from the Brandenburg region in Germany were sent on one year placements in other European countries with a view to increasing their employability. Locating such projects mainly relies on the unofficial network of the person collecting the data, or happens by chance.

It represents students in academic and non-academic matters through a nationally recognised School Reps and Postgraduate Research Reps Systems.
The Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Jobs and Fair Work was a position in the Scottish Government Cabinet until June 2018. The Cabinet Secretary had responsibilities for the Scottish economy, infrastructure, trade and investment, business, industry, employment, trade unions and energy. The Cabinet Secretary was assisted by the Minister for Business, Innovation and Energy and the Minister for Employability and Training. The post was abolished in June 2018, with the "economy" part of the brief moving to the Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Economy and Fair Work and the infrastructure responsibilities moving to the Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure and Connectivity.
The team traveled across India to train more than a hundred people with disabilities, including the people paralysed neck-down due to spinal cord injuries. The first leg of the journey in open seas culminated with the Team taking a select group of students for their first open sea dives at the Lakshadweep Islands, India. People on wheelchairs, who were bound by the chains of gravity on land, were now free - in water. For the first time in India, people with disabilities were trained in SCUBA Diving by instructors with disabilities, showcasing true inclusion and employability focused on ability rather than disability.
There is another type of university in Germany: the Fachhochschulen (Universities of Applied Sciences), which offer mostly the same degrees as Universitäten, but often concentrate on applied science (as the English name suggests) and usually have no power to award PhD-level degrees, at least not in their own right. Fachhochschulen have a more practical profile with a focus on employability. In research, they are rather geared to applied research instead of fundamental research. At a traditional university, it is important to study "why" a method is scientifically right; however, this is less important at Universities of Applied Sciences.

"Work-based learning (WBL) is an educational strategy that provides students with real-life work experiences where they can apply academic and technical skills and develop their employability." It is a series of educational courses which integrate the school or university curriculum with the workplace to create a different learning paradigm. "Work-based learning deliberately merges theory with practice and acknowledges the intersection of explicit and tacit forms of knowing." Modules on cellular and molecular biology and pharmacology underpin, for example, infectious diseases and immunology, cancer and neurobiology. Alongside its work with numerous charities, the club and its Charity Foundation operate various initiatives within the community including courses to help Armed Forces veterans overcome addictions, to raise awareness of social issues and help unemployed people back into work. SCI-FUN ran their usual Roadshow for Hebridean schools, as well as hosting an evening session and a drop-in session for the general public. Other guests at the Hebridean Science Festival include the Astronomer Royal for Scotland Professor John C Brown, Johnny Ball, the University of St Andrews, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Mr Boom and the Stornoway Astronomical Society.
The Humber Refinery has strong community outreach with recent investments of $500,000 in 2009 to the local school Oasis Academy Immingham to encourage engineering and promote STEM. In 2014 a donation of £240,000 was given to build an Enterprise Suite at Killingholme School helping students to learn employability skills. The Refinery was also founder member of BEEP Business Education and Enterprise Partnership that was established in 2011 to strengthen links between business and education offering a range of activities for schools in the Northern Lincolnshire area. The refinery runs a community liaison group called KAAG (Killingholme Area Advisory Group) they meet monthly and discuss refinery operations and any village concerns.

In 2002 the association launched its new vision towards 2012, which heralded a period of change. Venture Scouts were discontinued and two new sections were introduced: Scout Network for 18–25 year olds, as well as an Explorer Scouts for 14–18 year olds. A new programme was introduced, complete with a new range of badges and awards covering a wider variety of topics such as Public Relations and Information Technology, developing practical and employability skills. The new badges drew mixed reactions from several public figures, with some praising the association for "moving with the times" and others feeling the changes went "against the Scouting ethos of Baden-Powell".

The General Education Development (GED) credential is offered as an alternative qualification for those who did not successfully earn a high school diploma. Examination involves taking and passing tests in five subjects: Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. A Certificate of High School Equivalency is generally offered to those who successfully complete the GED. While the GED itself may not necessarily enable the same higher education and employment opportunities as the high school diploma, the GED can enhance employability prospects for former high school dropouts or earned high school Certificate of attendance or completion, and progression is available to tertiary study at select higher education institutions.

As is common today, most academic libraries required a 2-year masters program for employment. However, Park's request for similar educational requirements for professors and librarians is provoked in that the professors of the time were only required one year of master's level work to begin teaching. Unlike today's standards, Park suggested rectifying the matter by requiring only one year of master's level library coursework. At times he encouraged prospective librarians to obtain the one-year masters in a different field while taking library classes as well, to enable them to get a degree and be quickly employable while still having some preparation and employability in a library setting.
While the practice of skills-based hiring had existed for 20 years, the term itself originated in 2012 with the work of the Kellogg Foundation-funded New Options project in New Mexico. New Options developed the term in an attempt to distinguish between private employability testing and the rarer practice of having an employer set specific, independently verified, and publicly articulated goals for the skill expectations of job applicants. Omotosho set up the Mike Omotosho Foundation to alleviate poverty and empower the youths through training and community development programmes. The Foundation has trained over 200 rural community members on vocational skills and provided N10 million micro credit scheme to empower 300 women to start small businesses. 500 youths from different Local governments in Kwara State were also trained on employability skills, 150 indigent students from primary and secondary schools are also on scholarship scheme from the Foundation. In August 2014 the Foundation carried out medical mission in 12 communities in four Local governments within Kwara State to provide free diagnosis, expert medical advice, and distribute free drugs, wheel chairs, and free mosquitoes nets.

Harambee has created an employment network that helps companies hire young, first-time job seekers in South Africa in order to try to find a solution to the South African youth unemployment crisis, where approximately 40% of South Africans 15 to 34 are not employed, in school, or in any kind of training. The organization has developed a mobile-based network that collects job-seekers' details, assesses candidates, offers training, and matches them to employers looking for their skillsets. By signing up for and showing up regularly to classes and training, candidates can demonstrate reliability, and thus employability. The goal is to encourage companies to take a chance on workers with no experience, often from poor households.
Stage Business is The Old Vic’s unique employability project for schools and youth organisations across the UK. The interactive project is designed to enhance young people’s workplace skills through theatre, and includes creative workshops, theatre visits, inspirational talks and peer-led learning to identify and develop leaders of the future. Stage Business works with over 2000 students each year to develop confidence, communication skills and creative imagination. In addition to working intensively with 10 Stage Business Ambassadors from each school and organisation, workshops are supported by a comprehensive online programme of learning. Participants also develop skills to allow them to apply their knowledge to deliver workshops to younger students aged 11–14.
In this model, students' do not receive a summer break from school but instead are either working or in school for 12 months of the year. Before or during this work experience students may complete activities designed to maximize their learning on the job, such as online workplace conduct courses or reflective activities. The Perinad Grama Panchayat has transferred a land area of for establishing the institute. Association with NIFT National Institute of Fashion Technology was set up in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. It has emerged as the premier Institute of Design, Management and Technology, developing professionals for taking up leadership positions in fashion business in the emerging global scenario.
Services provided in these clinics include: primary health and preventative care, pre and postpartum care, child immunizations, comprehensive HIV care, family planning, cervical cancer screening, gender-based violence response, and child nutrition. In 2018, six SHOFCO clinics were operational – five spread across the densely populated Kibera and one in Mathare. SHOFCO reached 289,258 clients, including providing malnutrition screening for 12,874 children and enrolling 850 of these in their malnutrition programme, as well as fully vaccinating 91.9% of children who attended their clinics against diseases. The Sustainable Livelihoods program: In 2018 SHOFCO provided 4,807 beneficiaries with employability, entrepreneurship and business training, placing 672 youths with internships with 222 employers and training 2,014 with job readiness skills.
Ensuring Positive Futures (EPF) is an employability programme based in the UK that aims to support people living with HIV in the workplace. It is a partnership of HIV organisations, employers, trades unions and government which works together to challenge the stigma and discrimination that often accompanies HIV. It has been seen that with effective HIV medication, people living with HIV can live and work just like anyone else. The lead organisation in the partnership is the UK Coalition of People Living with HIV and AIDS, a charity which is run by and for people living with HIV, which aims to empower individuals who are HIV positive, and to give them a voice.
It has been claimed by the Government that this program has been launched to increase employability of graduates thus reducing the high graduate unemployment in state universities. 10,000 students have been earmarked for the first group of training starting May 22, 2011, and a second group of 12,000 is set to follow on June 22 in order to cover the 2011-2012 state university undergraduate intake. Dr Sunil Navaratne, Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education stated that it was a "orientation programme for the university entrants to acquire universal education". Hon S. B. Dissanayake, Minister of Higher Education stated that content of this programme is carefully designed by the experts on education and physical and psychological health.

One of Silatech’s first partnerships was with Cisco to create a technology platform for ICT education and youth interaction with prospective employers. Together with Microsoft, Silatech has developed Ta3meel, a set of online training programs and curricula and an online portal that provides skills and employer connections, with the aim of reaching two million young people. An Arabic MOOC (massive open online course) was developed with ALISON, and made available on the Ta3meel employability platform in June 2013. Meanwhile, another initiative, Tamheed, in collaboration with Mindmill, has created an online career guidance platform with psychometric testing, which has been used by young people in Qatar, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Fairbridge programme offers a mix of group activities and one-to-one support for young people to develop the skills and confidence they need to move forward. Starting with a five-day Access course, delivered from one of The Trust's 18 centres across the UK, they also take part in a residential trip. Once the Access course is complete, young people choose from a range of activities, from sports to drama and photography to cooking, to help them reach their goals. In 2016, L’Oréal Paris partnered with The Prince's Trust to transform self-doubt into self-worth by developing a confidence training course for the Fairbridge programme, covering: relationships, body language and employability.

Recycling Lives’s commercial operations have provided financial support to the Recycling Lives UK social welfare charity via significant annual contributions. Registered as a charity in 2006, Recycling Lives UK (Reg. No. 1116562) did not begin trading immediately but became active in early 2008. It operates throughout England and Wales, Lancashire in particular, and received almost £500,000 in 2014 from its parent company. The charity’s aim is to tackle poverty by reducing homelessness and unemployment in the community. Participants in the charity’s six-stage programme, known as residents, are provided with accommodation at a Recycling Lives Centre and offered training, education, financial support and work experience placements that enable them develop life and employability skills.
Some pre-professional degree programs in agriculture prepare students for direct entry into the workforce in fields in high demand, while also meeting requirements for medical or veterinary schools. The latter curriculum model is meant to enhance employability of graduates awaiting admission or choosing not to attend professional or graduate school. Boys' and Girls' Clubs of Wales is a national youth work organisation (Charity Number 1009142); which offers support and assistance to youth throughout the most deprived areas of Wales. Founded in 1922, the charity first began as a Boys' Club in Treharris as a place for young males to retreat to for leisure and education after working in the coal mines. Since then, Boys' and Girls' Clubs of Wales has expanded throughout the whole of Wales, offering opportunities to both boys' and girls' aged 11-25 years. Boys' and Girls' Clubs of Wales offers opportunities for young people resident in disadvantaged areas of Wales to enhance their skillset and employability prospects through their transition into adulthood.
Public policy has protected people against genetic discrimination, defined in Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary (2001) as unequal treatment of persons with either known genetic abnormalities or the inherited propensity for disease; genetic discrimination may have a negative effect on employability, insurability and other socio-economic variables. Included in the CCL is also a credit lab for students that may need intervention with credit recovery to further enhance their opportunities to stay on track for graduation. MVCTC and Northmont City School Senior Only Credential Programs - Senior students at Northmont have the opportunity to gain industry credentials that they will be able to use throughout their lifetime. Credential opportunities are to either earn their State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) or certification in Robotics and Manufacturing from Yaskawa and FANUC.
"LEQA" is an initiative that allows male and female youth to meet national figures and successful leaders who will inspire them with their thoughts and expertise in entrepreneurship. "GAEN" the first initiative of its kind geared towards applied education in the region that stands for "Global Applied Education Network" and Higher Colleges of Technology is part of it. GAEN was launched by signing a series of Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) involving eight of the world’s leading applied higher education institutions. GAEN will support the UAE, Gulf region and MENA economies by applying proven and global effective expertise to boost the employability of its graduates, promote cultural exchanges, expand partnerships with national and international companies and support the UAE’s drive towards a knowledge- based economy.

Nitish Jain (born 15 February 1961) is an Indian educationist, philanthropist, and President of S P Jain School of Global Management (S P Jain), a Sydney- based business school that also has campuses in Dubai, Singapore, Sydney and Mumbai. Nitish is the recipient of several awards in recognition of his efforts in modernising business education and promoting global employability among business graduates. In 2010, he won the Outstanding Contribution to Education Award by the CMO Asia, and the Award for Excellence by the Australia India Business Council in 2014, presented by Her Excellency Julie Bishop, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Australia. The same year, Nitish was selected by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join his official delegation of CEOs to Australia post the G20 summit.
By segregating Aboriginal people from the rest of the community, the removals process was highly effective in fulfilling the government's objectives of increased control and regulation of the state's Aboriginal people, enforced on settlements through a range of administrative and disciplinary measures. While humanitarian concerns were used as a justification for removal by advocates of the reserve system, Aboriginal people were forcibly removed for a wider range of reasons including illness; lack of employability or refusal to work; old age; as punishment; and after a jail sentence had been served. Aboriginal people were removed to Fantome Island under the Aboriginals Protection and Restriction of the Sale of Opium Act 1897, unlike European STI patients who were detained on the mainland under health legislation.
The was signed in December 2018 between the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Quality (LNV), Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (IenW), Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK), Ministry of Social Affairs and Employability (SZW) and the Sea Ranger Service. The Practice Enterprise concept is applied in different educational systems: from schools, colleges, universities, vocational training institutions3, companies and further training centres worldwide. The primary target group is students from secondary schools and universities. Adults can also participate in the training programme, either as employees, jobseekers, and people with disabilities or women returning to work. This applied way of learning, the ‘learning-by-doing’4 methodology, allows people with all kinds of backgrounds to learn and improve their skills in a Practice Enterprise. Trainees get to know the real-life international business experience and learn and improve important skills such as language and communication skills, intercultural competences and various soft skills which are helpful in finding one’s own path and increase the employability.
In 2008, about 8 per cent of the people with a degree were unemployed, and a much larger proportion was underemployed. Nike Folayan and her brother Ollie Folayan founded the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK) in 2007 and remain as the organisation's chairperson. In 2011 Vince Cable, then Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills attended the AFBE-UK’s seminar on infrastructure in the UK. At the time, he recognised AFBE-UK as "an excellent example of encouraging partnership between stakeholders in the engineering communities and supporting young people as they embark on a range of exciting career paths in science and technology". In 2012 AFBE-UK launched "Making Engineering Hot", a video campaign which promotes engineering to the BME community. In 2016 she coordinated "Transition", which saw students from universities across London take part in a series of employability workshops, CV assessments, mock interviews and engineering challenges.

In 1994, the Canadian Federal Government's Whitehorse Mining Initiative (WMI) recommended the establishment of a mining industry council to address sector-wide human resources issues. In response to the WMI's request, the Mining Industry Training and Adjustment Council (MITAC) was established in November 1996, through the combined efforts of the Mining Association of Canada (MAC) and three major unions in the mining sector: The United Steelworkers of America, the Communication, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada and the Canadian Autoworkers Union. MITAC's goal was to enable Canadian mining companies, unions and employees to collaborate to improve the quality, cost-effectiveness and availability of training, and to maximize the skills, adaptability and employability of the workers in the minerals and metals sector. This strategy has been adopted at the federal, state and local levels in order to increase education, training and learning opportunities for America’s current and emerging workforce. The usual format for the Challenge series is 30 hours of workshops run over a two-week period and focusing on identifying transferable skills, interview techniques, networking exercises, emotional intelligence and CV, job search and application skills followed, if required, by high quality (usually) office based work experience within the third sector.

The Student Services Unit exists to provide a range of services including the day-to-day operation of two halls of residence, career advice and guidance from the Careers and Employability Centre, the administration of Learner (Access) Support Fund, advice and support with finding and funding childcare, full-time counselling and nursing services and academic support for students from their Learning and Skills Development Centre. The Unit runs an accommodation database for students who wish to live in the private sector and provides guidance and administrative support to international students in areas such as visa applications. The Learning and Skills Development Centre co-ordinates support for students with additional needs. Social horticulture helps with depression and other mental health problems of people from risk groups: people with PTSD, victims of abuse, lonely elderly people, drug or alcohol addicts, blind people and other people with special needs. The effects of nature therapy can be connected to two theories, known as the Stress Reduction Theory (SRT) and the Attention Restoration Theory (ART). Apart from physical and psychological well-being nature therapy also can help to improve social well-being (guided ecotherapy practices can improve self-management, self-esteem, social relations and skills, socio-political awareness and even employability).
IMAGE trains groups of young people with disabilities and their non-disabled counterparts, to drive the program. These young people are responsible for delivering sports and games specially designed to carry valuable information such as why education is important, improving sanitation, and explaining how diseases including polio and cholera are spread through open defecation. The project breaks down barriers between disabled and non- disabled communities through group activities, instills confidence, and allows disabled youth to nurture their inclusion into mainstream society. Subsequently, discriminatory mindsets on disability are challenged as IMAGE members start getting accepted as well-educated, productive, and responsible role models in the isolated communities where the project operates. Furthermore, the participants develop skill sets through their work experience with IMAGE, which they can include on their CVs – a concept that they’re made aware of through the IMAGE Employability Workshops.
The DXC Dandelion Work Experience Program is a paid work experience program for tertiary students. The goal of the program is to provide higher education students with the opportunity to engage in technical work experience and improve their confidence, technical and teamwork skills, and employability. The program consists of an initial three week structured course that enables participants to learn how software development projects operate in a large commercial organisation, such as DXC, whilst in an autism- friendly environment. DXC Dandelion Work Experience Program The course involves a balance of learning and practical project work in which participants have the opportunity to be part of an Agile Development team, allowing them to gain experience in different roles in the software development lifecycle using state-of-the-art robotics to assist local primary schools with autism support units with educational development.
OCP has also launched the Act4Community as a new way to engage with the local communities by supporting their development, with a real focus on generating long-term value through increasing employability and turning ideas into projects. The scheme aims to draw on the company's culture of individual entrepreneurship, using employee's expertise and OCP's corporate resources to seek to improve a number of areas, from health, education and training, as well as the environment. The Children and Young People Team leads on education and children’s services for COSLA. Its remit covers most aspects of a child’s life from pre-birth through to post 16 education and into the world of work. The team's work includes pre-school, primary and secondary education; promoting and integrating children’s services; developing effective approaches to children & family social work services; addressing child protection and youth justice issues as well as aspects of employability. The team works closely with education, economic development, human resource and social work professionals in ADES (Association of Directors of Education), SLAED (Scottish Local Authority Economic Development network), SPDS (Society of Personnel Directors Scotland) and SWS (Social Work Scotland) to develop policy; to respond to and influence legislation and Scottish Government initiatives, and to provide support to elected members on the Education, Children and Young People Thematic Board.

Rosenbaum has evaluated the adequacy and extent of American vocational education programs and compared them with successful models in other countries such as Japan and Germany. American schools are uncomfortable with creating a substantial vocational education system and instead offer a college-preparatory curriculum to nearly all students, which does not give all students the means to get a job. Rosenbaum has surveyed work-bound high school students, and found that high school students know that employers don't look at high school grades, and so students say they have little incentive to study. Rosenbaum has studied model vocational education programs which give incentives to students to work hard: teachers develop relationships with employers and employers trust teachers' opinions of students, so students see that their performance in the classroom has a direct effect on their employability.

While humanitarian concerns were used as a justification for removal by advocates of the reserve system, Aboriginal people were forcibly removed for a wider range of reasons including illness; lack of employability or refusal to work; old age; as punishment; and after a jail sentence had been served.Blake:2001: 36-49 While many groups had already been moved off their traditional land and were residing in fringe camps at settlements and stations, the removals program further severed many Queensland Aboriginals' capacity to maintain connections to country and traditional customary practices.
