On Sunday, January 26, 2020, a Wienermobile was pulled over by a Waukesha WI sheriff's deputy for violating the Move Over Law, which requires motorists to pull over one lane to pass an emergency vehicle with its warning lights on. The Hotdogger was issued a warning.
Emergency vehicle lighting is one or more visual warning lights fitted to a vehicle for use when the driver wishes to convey to other road users the urgency of their journey, to provide additional warning of a hazard when stationary, or in the case of law enforcement as a means of signalling another driver to stop for interaction with an officer. These lights may be dedicated emergency lights, such as a beacon or a light bar, or may be modified stock lighting, such as a wig-wag or hide-away light, and are additional to any standard lighting on the car such as hazard lights. Often, they are used along with a siren (or occasionally sirens) in order to increase their effectiveness. The VFRS Mechanical Division is responsible for ensuring that all of VFRS's apparatus/equipment is in operationally ready state. They do this using the current Ministry of Transportation of Ontario Standards and National Fire Protection Association guidelines as benchmarks. Members of the Mechanical Division attend Emergency Vehicle Technician courses every year. The division provides both in-shop and mobile mechanical service for a number of Regional Emergency Service partners as well as a warranty repair depot for major fire service equipment suppliers and manufacturers.

The DPS Academy is tasked to train and certify VPSOs with firearms. In addition, VPSOs also carry all other typical tools of a peace officer, such as Kevlar bullet resistant body armor, TASER electronic control weapon, pepper spray, and baton. Downtown Lexington On August 16, 1994, Lexington was struck by an F-3 tornado, generated from the remnants of Tropical Storm Beryl, resulting in over 40 injuries and $50 million in damages. From the same tropical storm, 21 other tornados were reported throughout the state, including six in Lexington County. The Move Over Law, a law that requires drivers to change lanes when there is a stopped emergency vehicle on the side of the road, originated in Lexington after James D. Garcia, a paramedic, was struck and injured at an accident scene on January 28, 1994. Garcia was listed at fault, leading to his work to create this law.
The FBI Academy is the Federal Bureau of Investigation's law enforcement training and research center near the town of Quantico in Stafford County, Virginia. Operated by the bureau's Training Division, it was first opened for use in 1972 on of woodland, which is not available for public tours. The laws are much the same for all states and territories in Australia. Chief Brice retired in 2009 after 56 years in the fire service, coming to Palm Beach from the Miami Fire Department. The complex includes multiple classrooms & conference rooms, a 6 story training tower, a 2 1/2 story Class A burn building, an emergency vehicle driving course, an extrication training area, Urban Search & Rescue (USAR) props, a 10-acre lake for drafting training, and a field of various full-scale liquefied petroleum (LP) gas props.
