Birdwell Point () is the northwest point of Dean Island, lying within the Getz Ice Shelf off the coast of Marie Byrd Land. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and from U.S. Navy air photos, 1959–65, and named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Keith W. Birdwell, U.S. Navy, Electronics Technician at Byrd Station, 1969.
Sayre was born on August 13, 1928, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. After graduating from high school in 1946, he spent two years in the US Navy as an electronics technician. He received an AB in 1952 from Grinnell College, Iowa, with a joint major in philosophy and mathematics. Harvard University granted him an MA in 1954 and a PhD in 1958, both in philosophy.

He had worked several years as an electronics technician before earning his BSEE degree. The first year at Motorola was a series of three-month rotations through four different areas. Rasmussen graduated from high school in June, 1945 and enlisted in the United States Navy. He was sent to Great Lakes Naval Training school, where he became an electronics technician. He served on active duty until August, 1946, when he was honorably discharged. Norm enrolled in Gettysburg College in the fall of 1946, using the GI bill to finance his tuition.

Captain Homan enlisted in the Navy in 1983 as an Aviation Electronics Technician. He graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree. Also, he received his Master of Science in Astronautical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.
McCarthy Valley () is an ice-filled valley, long, between Peters Butte and Todd Ridge in the northwest part of the Long Hills, Horlick Mountains, Antarctica. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy aerial photography, 1958–60, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for James E. McCarthy, a meteorological electronics technician at Byrd Station in 1960.
He also collected mice and killed them by dissolving them in chemicals, in the same manner he would later dispose of his human victims' corpses. After attending Balboa High School, Lake enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1964. He served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War as a radar electronics technician. During this period, Lake was first diagnosed with schizoid personality disorder.
Wright was born at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and grew up in Burlington, Massachusetts, one of four children of Lucille "Dolly" (née Lomano) and Alexander K. Wright. He was raised as a Roman Catholic. His mother was Italian-American, and his father of Scottish descent. Wright's father worked as an electronics technician who "tested a lot of stuff" for NASA during the Apollo spacecraft program.

Noorda was born in Ogden, Utah, the third son of Dutch immigrants Bertus Noorda and Alida Margaretha van den Berg. He attended Weber State College in Ogden. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy for two years as an electronics technician, working with radar systems. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Utah in 1949.

Mintz Peak () is a small peak rising above the southeast corner of Mount Hartigan in the Executive Committee Range, Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy trimetrogon photography, 1958–60, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Jerome Mintz, a Meteorological Electronics Technician at Byrd Station in 1959. Mintz died in December 2010.
Electronic circuit simulation uses mathematical models to replicate the behavior of an actual electronic device or circuit. Simulation software allows for modeling of circuit operation and is an invaluable analysis tool. Due to its highly accurate modeling capability, many colleges and universities use this type of software for the teaching of electronics technician and electronics engineering programs. Electronics simulation software engages its users by integrating them into the learning experience.
Kinsella Peak is a peak along the south side of Gale Ridge, west of Mount Cowart, in the Neptune Range of the Pensacola Mountains, Antarctica. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos from 1956–66, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for William R. Kinsella, an electronics technician at Ellsworth Station during the winter of 1958.
Hunt Spur () is a rugged spur descending from Mount Warden along the northwest face of Watson Escarpment in Antarctica. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from ground surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960–63, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Glenn C. Hunt, an aviation electronics technician of U.S. Navy Squadron VX-6 who participated in Operation Deep Freeze for 5 years.
Horton Ledge () is a flat rock ledge that caps the southwestern extremity of Pecora Escarpment, at the southwest end of the Pensacola Mountains in Antarctica. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1956–66, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Edward C. Horton, Jr., an electronics technician at Plateau Station in the winter of 1966.
The Larson Nunataks () are a small cluster of nunataks lying along the east side of the Forrestal Range, southeast of Mount Malville, in the Pensacola Mountains of Antarctica. The group was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1956–66, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Larry R. Larson, an aviation electronics technician at Ellsworth Station, winter 1957.

They continued to improve instruments and techniques over the years, but could never defeat the many 'false anomalies' produced by variations of tilt and height of the detector, and by inhomogeneities naturally present in the ground. In 1982, Bruce Forat joined Linn Electronics as an electronics technician. When Linn went out of business in February 1986, brothers Bruce and Ben formed Forat Electronics Corporation in Studio City, California and purchased all of Linn's remaining assets. They hired some former Linn employees including Steve Alcorn, former Vice President of Engineering and Chief Operating Officer. Forat revamped the original Linn Electronics line, including the LM-1, LinnDrum, and LinnSequencer.
Dreyfus enlisted in the United States Navy after high school, where he learned to be an electronics technician and worked on radar repair. He was sent to the Pacific during World War II and stayed there until the war was over. After the war, he enrolled at what is now the University of Wisconsin–Madison under the GI Bill. During this time, he met Joyce Unke, whom he married in 1947.

During his service in the Navy, Wimberley achieved the rank of Petty officer second class, Aviation Electronics Technician. During this time, he purchased a camera and began to photograph activities on the deck of the aircraft carrier where he worked as an avionics technician. Wimberley stenciled the word "PHOTO" on the back of his flight deck jacket.

Other experience has included Electronics Technician, Collateral Duty Command Master Chief, Collateral Duty Career Information Specialist and Avionics Leading Chief Petty Officer. Trent attended more than 20 specialized training courses during his career. He is a graduate of the Coast Guard Senior Leadership and Management School, the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy, the DEOMI Equal Opportunity Program Managers Course.

Holladay, Chief Aviation Electronics Technician, U.S. Navy, who was Maintenance Control Chief at McMurdo Station during Operation Deep Freeze, 1968.
Multisim was originally called Electronics Workbench and created by a company called Interactive Image Technologies. At the time it was mainly used as an educational tool to teach electronics technician and electronics engineering programs in colleges and universities. National Instruments has maintained this educational legacy, with a specific version of Multisim with features developed for teaching electronics. In 1999, Multisim was integrated with Ultiboard after the original company merged with Ultimate Technology, a PCB layout software company.
The Navy announced 14 April 2009 that Hartfords skipper, Commander Ryan Brookhart, was relieved of duty by Rear Admiral Michael J. Connor because of a loss of confidence in Brookhart's ability to command. The Chief of the Boat, Master Chief Electronics Technician Stefan Prevot, was also relieved. Brookhart was replaced by Commander Chris Harkins, deputy commander of Submarine Squadron Eight. In addition, the navigator, executive officer, weapons officer and 10 other sailors were subjected to non-judicial punishment.
Aviation electronics technician (AT) is a US Navy enlisted rating or job specialty (often called MOS or AFSC by other services). At the paygrade of E-9 (master chief petty officer) ATs merge with the aviation electrician's mate (AE) rating to become avionics technicians (AV). There has been talk of completely merging the two ratings, but as yet no definite plans have been announced. Aviation electronics technicians wear the specialty mark of a winged Helium atom.
The rating now known as AT can trace its origin to World War II, when the rating of aviation radio technician was established on 11 December 1942. This rating was re-designated aviation electronics technician's mate on 31 October 1945. Effective 2 April 1948 the name of the rating became aviation electronics technician (AET); the abbreviation was changed to (AT) on 9 June of the same year. A separate rating, aviation electronicsman was absorbed in 1955.

Bethune was born in San Antonio, Texas to Pearl Elley and Jack Bethune, who was serving in the U.S. Army at that time. Bethune grew up in Austin, Texas and spent summers with his father, who owned an aerial crop dusting company in Hernando, Mississippi. Bethune joined the U.S. Navy in 1958 at age 17, becoming an aviation electronics technician. In January 1960, he was serving in Heavy Attack Squadron 11 aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Del Monte, the last stand-alone primary school, continued until June 1947. In June 1946, ARM Navy Pier was also transferred to Great Lakes, and ARM Bellevue followed at the end of the year. These were combined and eventually evolved into an Electronics Technician “A” School. ARM Treasure Island, fed by students from Great Lakes and, for a while, from Del Monte, continued as a secondary school; this later evolved into an Advanced Electronics “C” School.

He is primarily known through his association with William S. Burroughs's circle of Beat Generation figures, and lived at Paris's so-called "Beat Hotel" by 1960, when they were regulars there, becoming Burroughs's lover and "systems adviser". Sommerville was educated at the King's School, Canterbury, and at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.
DynCorp's headquarters In 1987 Dynalectron changed its name to DynCorp. In 1988 DynCorp went private to avoid a hostile takeover by Miami financier Victor Posner, via an employee initiative led by Daniel R. Bannister. Bannister, as T. Rees Shapiro wrote in his 2011 obituary, "was paid $1.65 an hour when he joined DynCorp as an electronics technician in 1953," rising to serve as its president and CEO (1985 to 1997). In 1994 DynCorp's revenues were approximately $1 billion.
Mount Gorecki is a mountain in Antarctica. It is high and lies at the southeastern extremity of the Schmidt Hills in the Neptune Range of the Pensacola Mountains. It was discovered and photographed on January 13, 1956 on a U.S. Navy transcontinental non-stop plane flight from McMurdo Sound to the Weddell Sea and back, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for aviation electronics technician Francis Gorecki, the radioman of the P2V-2N Neptune aircraft making the flight.
Born in Germany in 1947, Katz immigrated to Israel in 1949. After finishing school and national service he worked as an electronics technician. He became involved with trade unions when he became a member of the workers' council at Israel Aerospace Industries in 1983, and was also chairman of the technicians and engineers' union. In 1993 he became secretary of the National Workers Union of Israel Aircraft Industries, and was appointed chairman of the pension funds policy team of the Histadrut in 1996.
After being liberated by Russian forces, Larry was ultimately sent to Percy Jones Army Hospital in Battle Creek, Michigan, where he spent the next two years recovering from his wounds. After the war, he attended Jackson College and Albion College before embarking on a 30-year career as electronics technician for RCA. He and his wife Peg raised three children, Larry, Jr., Roger and Connie. Jenkins lived in Michigan, and was active as a volunteer at the Kalamazoo Air Zoo.
In 1965 the U.S. Labor Department, Bureau of Apprenticeship & Training (BAT) instigated a jobs program in cooperation with NEA (National Electronics Association). Local school systems, local TV association members and USDL worked together on an 8,000 hour apprenticeship program aimed at solving the labor shortage problem while finding new vocations for those put out of work by modern technology. This new program would reward trainees, but would not cover experienced technicians. Because of this, the Certified Electronics Technician (CET) program was created.
In 1971 the Radarman (abbreviated as RD) rating was disestablished. Former Radarmen, depending on their training, were placed in to the either the established Electronic Technician (ET) rating or either of the newly established Operations Specialist (abbreviated as OS) or Electronic Warfare Technician (abbreviated as EW) ratings. On October 1, 1998 the Data Systems Technicians (abbreviated as DS) rating was disestablished. Former Data Systems Technicians were, depending on their training, placed in to either the Electronics Technician or Fire Controlman (abbreviated as FC) rating.
In the Canadian Armed Forces, there are several types of Electronics Technician. All of these positions have to with maintain and repairing electrical systems in various parts of the Canadian Armed Forces, with some also responsible for installing portable and non- portable electrical systems of various types, primarily for land use. Electronic-Optronic Technicians are trained to maintain and repair ammunition (fire) control systems for the Canadian Army. Avionics Systems Technicians are responsible for maintaining all electrical systems on all Canadian Armed Forces aircraft.
The U.S. Coast Guard operates Training Center Petaluma just outside Petaluma, near Two Rock. It operates several of its class "A" and "C" schools at TRACEN Petaluma including the Electronics Technician (ET), Culinary Specialist (CS), Health Service Technician (HS), Information Systems Technician (IT), Operation Specialist (OS), Storekeeper (SK), and Yeoman (YN) schools. The Coast Guard also operates the Chief Petty Officer Academy at the TRACEN. Academy trains senior non-commissioned officers (Chief Petty Officers) for both the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Air Force.
Leach Nunatak () is a nunatak west-southwest of Mount Ronne in the Haines Mountains, Ford Ranges, Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. It was mapped by the United States Antarctic Service (1939–41) and by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos (1959–65). The nunatak was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for aviation electronics technician Edwin B. Leach, U.S. Navy, Williams Field Division Chief responsible for maintenance of electronic equipment on all aircraft during Operation Deep Freeze 1967.
Diagram of Leo Fender's lap steel guitar from 1944 patent application. The company began as Fender's Radio Service in late 1938 in Fullerton, California. As a qualified electronics technician, Fender had repaired radios, phonographs, home audio amplifiers, public address systems and musical instrument amplifiers, all designs based on research developed and released to the public domain by Western Electric in the 1930s using vacuum tubes for amplification. The business also sidelined in carrying records for sale and the rental of company-designed PA systems.
After graduating from high school, Sanders initially began his military career by joining the United States Air Force in February 1954. Upon being discharged in 1957, Sanders joined the Air Force Reserve. He attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery from January to May 1958. Sanders enlisted in the United States Navy on 9 May 1958, and after receiving his clothing issue at Charleston, South Carolina, he was transferred to Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) at NAS Memphis, Tennessee, to attend Aviation Electronics Technician "A" School.
Fowler served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966-1970 as an electronics technician. He spent 14 months on islands in the South China Sea on radar installations and spent the rest of his service at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi and Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina. Subsequently, Fowler completed his Electrical Engineering Degree at the University of South Carolina. In 1974 Fowler joined the Cryovac Division of W.R. Grace and Company, where he helped found a new engineering department for electron beam irradiation of polymers.
Noyes received his baccalaureate degree in physics (magna cum laude) in 1943 from Harvard University. One of his roommates during this time was Thomas Kuhn, author of The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. His physics friends at Harvard included Nobel Laureate condensed matter physicist Philip W. Anderson and molecular physicist Henry Silsbee. Before moving on to doctoral studies, Noyes spent a year at the Antenna Group at the MIT Radiation Laboratory and served in the US Navy for two years as an Aviation Electronics Technician Mate.
Satellite image of Thurston Island Sikorski Glacier () is a small glacier in the northeast part of Noville Peninsula, Thurston Island. It flows northeast to Bellingshausen Sea between Mounts Palmer and Mount Feury. First roughly delineated from air photos taken by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, 1946–47. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Stephen Sikorski, electronics technician on USS Glacier, who assisted in setting up an automatic weather station on Thurston Island during the United States Navy Bellingshausen Sea Expedition in February 1960.
DeWeese became an active member of science fiction fandom, and his stories were published in science fiction fanzines such as Yandro, Fan-Fare, and The Chigger Patch of Fandom. He earned an associate degree in electronics from Valparaiso Technical Institute in 1953. He worked for General Motors' Delco Electronics Division as an electronics technician in Kokomo, Indiana, from 1954–1959, and as a technical writer (including for the Apollo Program) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from 1959 to 1974 (when he became a full-time freelance writer).
Edward Maynard (February 22, 1939 - July 16, 2004) was a businessperson and politician in Newfoundland. He represented St. Barbe South from 1971 to 1975 and St. Barbe from 1975 to 1979 in the Newfoundland House of Assembly. The son of William Henry Maynard and Jane Mitchelmore, he was born in Green Island Brook in 1939 and was educated there and at Saint Bonaventure's College. He worked as a teacher, as a policeman, as an electronics technician and as a union organizer before entering politics.
Upon returning to the United States in 1984, he joined the nascent video collective Paper Tiger TV, and started a West Coast branch. At the same time, he began working as an electronics technician at several start-ups and then Dolby Laboratories. He worked with the 'zine collective Processed World as a writer, editor and collective member. In 1986, he helped to organize the first public access television network, Deep Dish TV and in 1989, formed Mission Creek Video with Carla Leshne in San Francisco's Mission District.

(UTI) located in the Netherlands. The integration of Multisim with UTI’s PCB layout and design, transformed Koenig’s company into a global Electronic Design Automation (EDA) company with an installed base of over 150,000 customers.

Following his high school graduation in 1949, Bean enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He was an Electronics Technician Striker at the NAS Dallas, Texas, until September 1950, when he was honorably discharged. In January 1955, Bean was commissioned a U.S. Navy ensign through the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) at UT Austin, and attended flight training. After completing flight training in June 1956, he was assigned to Attack Squadron 44 (VA-44) at NAS Jacksonville, Florida, from 1956 to 1960, flying the F9F Cougar and A4D Skyhawk.

They were discovered and photographed from the air by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition, 1947-48, and mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and from U.S. Navy air photos, 1961-67\. Named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Richard E. Anderson, aviation electronics technician on R4D flights in 1961, including a November 4 reconnaissance flight from Byrd Station to the Eights Coast.

Halverson Peak () is a peak, high, which marks the east side of the terminus of Rawle Glacier, in the King Range of the Concord Mountains of Victoria Land, Antarctica. This topographical feature was first mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960–64, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Jack E. Halverson, U.S. Navy, chief electronics technician and member of the McMurdo Station party, 1967. The peak lies situated on the Pennell Coast, a portion of Antarctica lying between Cape Williams and Cape Adare.
Petrie Ice Rises () is a group of ice rises extending in a north-south line, lying merged within the Wilkins Ice Shelf, to the west of Alexander Island, Antarctica. The group was seen from the air on a British Antarctic Survey (BAS) radio echo sounding flight around Alexander Island on 11 February 1967 and was later accurately positioned from US Landsat imagery. It was named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 1980 after David L. Petrie, a BAS and Scott Polar Research Institute electronics technician (from about 1966–1970), who was on the flight.
McKinnis Peak () is a peak, high, southeast of the Holladay Nunataks in the Wilson Hills of Antarctica. It surmounts the peninsula that is bounded by Tomilin Glacier and Noll Glacier on the west and the Gillett Ice Shelf on the east. The peak was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960–63, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Joe D. McKinnis of U.S. Navy Squadron VX-6, an Aviation Electronics Technician and air crewman on LC-130F aircraft in five Operation Deep Freeze deployments through 1969.
Most employers prefer to hire electronics technicians with an associate degree or other post-secondary training in engineering technology. Training is available at technical institutes, at community colleges, at extension divisions of colleges and universities, at public and private vocational-technical schools, and in the Armed Forces. Naval electronics technicians are the largest group of engineering technicians in the military (see Electronics Technician (US Navy)). Many 2-year associate degree programs accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) include at least college algebra and trigonometry and one or two basic science courses.
In addition to vocational learning outcomes associated with the study of electronics and control systems, graduates of electronics technician programs are also expected to have essential employability skills and meet certain general education learning outcomes. Individual schools largely determine the specific program structure, delivery methods, and other curriculum components to be used to assist students in achieving the required program outcomes. A significant component of course material includes laboratory experimentation. These lab courses and projects often represent up to 50% of the course material and are used to reinforce theoretical concepts associated with the study of electronics.
In 1975, on an international visit to Nogales, the President of Mexico, Luis Echeverría Álvarez met the President of the United States, Gerald Ford. At the end of the meeting, Álvarez made the official announcement, that a regional technological institute was approved for Nogales beginning in September of that year. Work began October 1975 of what is now the top house studies, under the name Instituto Tecnológico Regional de Nogales, under the direction of Engineer Rafael Navarro Escobar. With a population of 224 students and 20 professors, the Institute offered specialties in Electromechanic Technician, Electronics Technician and Bachelor of Business Administration.
The preparatory level offered the starting specialties: Accounting Technician, Chemistry Lab Technician and Electronics Technician. In that year (1975), the Department of Planning and Development was formed, implementing guidelines on what should optimize the resources available for the future; the Coordination of Technical and Higher Studies, School Services and General Services were integrated. Offices of Public Relations and Editorial were established. The expansion of the institution was initiated under the leadership of Engineer Escobar and the subdirectorate of Engineer, Fedaderico Campos Chacon, due to widespread demand giving a growth of 1566 students to the preparatory level and 222 students at the undergraduate level.
Bennett Bluff is a bluff, high, between the upper reaches of Venzke Glacier and Berry Glacier, south-southwest of the Perry Range, in Marie Byrd Land. The bluff has prominent rock exposures on the north wall and was first observed and photographed from aircraft of the United States Antarctic Service on December 18, 1940. It was mapped in detail by the United States Geological Survey, 1959–65, and named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Clarence E. Bennett, U.S. Navy, an Aviation Electronics Technician with Squadron VX-6 and a member of the McMurdo Station winter party, 1963.

The school began operations in March 1957, first under the jurisdiction of the Regional Workshop Quilmes. The school's mission was to educate apprentices for the workshops of aircraft operators. On April 25, 1962, Quilmes Regional Workshop and the National Council of Technical Education agreed and the school officially began operating as a secondary school under the name of the National Technical Education School No. 4 "Taller de Quilmes regional" using the facilities and assets provided by the Argentinian Air Force. Since 1971, the electronics technician degree has been offered at the school, and it graduated its first class of electronics technicians in 1973.
Arthur D. Code (1923–2009) Arthur Dodd Code (August 13, 1923 – March 11, 2009) was an astronomer who designed orbiting observatories. Code served as an electronics technician in the Navy during World War II. Arthur Code was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and developed an early interest in astronomy when he was young. After military service, Code received a master's degree and doctorate in astronomy and astrophysics from the University of Chicago (without having received a bachelor's degree) advised by Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar. He spent the majority of his career at the University of Wisconsin, where he was also director of the Washburn Observatory.

Klaus Ernst in 2018 Klaus Ernst (born 1 November 1954 in Munich) is a left- wing German politician and was a leading member of the Labour and Social Justice Party and now The Left. The certified political economist has served as a member of The Left in the Bundestag since 2005, and as of 2010 has been co-chairing the party together with Gesine Lötzsch. At the age of 15 he left his home and school because of his violent father. In 1970 he found work as an electronics technician and was elected youth representative and member of the works council.
Cavin in the 1970s Cavin joined the U.S. Navy in 1958, submitting a perfect score on the armed forces qualification test. Along with a few other high-scoring recruits, he was placed in the United States Atomic Energy Commission's Advanced Nuclear Power program, through which he studied electronics, metallurgy, calculus and physics. At Mare Island Naval Shipyard, he helped commission and launch the nuclear-powered USS Plunger, at the time the largest and most advanced attack submarine. His rank was Electronics Technician Second Class on the Plunger, where he served as a plankowner, among the first 11 crew members.
After graduating high school in 1956, Hochbrueckner served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician until he was honorably discharged in 1959. He attended college for 2-1/2 years, including the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Hofstra University, and California State University, Northridge. He then pursued on the job training as an engineer, working for Litton and Teledyne in California and Grumman in New York. Hochbrueckner was a member of the New York State Assembly from 1975 to 1984, sitting in the 181st, 182nd, 183rd, 184th and 185th New York State Legislatures.
Goldman was born in Oakland, California and raised in Watsonville, California. As a youth, Goldman was active in sports, an infielder in baseball and quarterback in high school football, he studied piano and enjoyed model-making and drawing. Before devoting himself entirely to the arts, he served as an electronics technician in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1967, assigned duties in Japan and Germany. He received his Associate of Arts Degree in 1969 from Cabrillo College, and he graduated in December 1971 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Life Drawing and Art History from the University of Hawaii.

It was first mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos from 1957–59, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Charles S. Miller, a U.S. Navy aviation electronics technician who was killed in a crash of a P2V Neptune airplane at McMurdo Sound in October 1956.

Gary Anderson was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, into a family with roots in rural Germany, France and Scandinavia, and more recently in Nebraska and the agricultural US Midwest. Midwestern forebears included members of the communal, utopian Icarian Movement as well as supporters of the populist progressive politics of William Jennings Bryan. Additionally, the Hull Maintenance Technician Training School Phase "A" was trained at Treasure Island for Nuclear, Biological, Radiological and Chemical Warfare Training as part of their phase "A" and phase "B" training. Treasure Island was also the location for the (nominal) 42-week Electronics Technician (ET) 'A’-School and various Electronic Technician “B” Schools that provided specialized training on specific types of electronic equipment. In 1996, Treasure Island and the Presidio of San Francisco Army Post were decommissioned and opened to public control, under stipulations. Harrington was born on December 24, 1925, in Buffalo, New York. He started majoring in electrical engineering in 1943 at Syracuse University; his studies were interrupted in the following year by World War II. During this time, he served as an instructor under the Electronics Training Program at the U.S. Naval Radio Materiel School in Dearborn, Michigan, while working as an electronics technician. He completed his studies after the war, receiving B.S. and M.S. degrees in 1948 and 1950, respectively. Briefly remaining at Syracuse University as a research assistant and instructor, he started his doctoral studies under Victor H. Rumsey at Ohio State University, receiving his PhD in 1952.
The rating started from the radarman (RD) rating. In the U.S. Coast Guard the Operations specialist rate was formed by combining the radarman (RD) and telecommunications specialist rate (TC). When the radarman rating was split up into OS, electronics technician (ET), and electronic warfare technician (EW) ratings, the original RD rating badge continued to be used by the operations specialist. It symbolizes the radar scope (circle portion of symbol) oscilloscope radar (O-scope) used to determine a targets range from the radar antenna (the two spikes in the line drawn across the scope), and the arrow represents the ability to detect the azimuth or direction of the target.
Other than the designation “Radio (or Electronics) Technician Training,” no official name appears on records for the overall program; however, Electronics Training Program (ETP) was the commonly used name. Official records sometimes show different names for the two levels of schools: Elementary Electricity & Radio Materiel (EE&RM;) rather than Primary, and Advanced Radio Materiel (ARM) rather than Secondary. Since there was little “elementary” content in the EE&RM; curriculum, these initials were usually taken to mean Electrical Engineering & Radio Materiel. As the local aspects of the ETM unfolded, the effort was designated Naval Training Schools- Radio Chicago, an official Navy unit commanded by Eddy.
Lieutenant Commander Stock, who had started the school in Annapolis, served as the initial superintendent of training. In September, the school was designated the Naval Air Technical Training Center Ward Island (NATTC Ward Island), serving as the aviation secondary school in the ETP. Initially, Navy enlisted graduates received a petty-officer rating of aviation radio technician (ART); this was changed to aviation electronics technician mate (AETM) in 1945. Within a short time after opening, a new class of 200 trainees arrived every two weeks. Initially 20 weeks in length, the course increased to 24 weeks in early 1943, then to 28 weeks and a new class each week by mid-1944.
Many educators felt that a "hands on" methodology was the only valid method of learning electronics, and that simulation was a less- effective substitute. In 1996, Koenig approached best-selling author Dr. Colin Simpson, with the idea of integrating his simulation software with Simpson’s book Principles of Electronics and to offer an Electronics technician program where the entire learning outcomes for laboratory projects would be achieved with simulation. In the year 1975 the first female medical officers were appointed in the Sanitätsdienst (Medical corps) of the Bundeswehr. Since 1994, two women, Verena von Weymarn and Erika Franke, attained the rank of Generalarzt (Surgeon General). But it was not until January 2001 that women first joined German combat units, following a court ruling by the European Court of Justice. The change in the law was prompted after a qualified female electronics technician argued her case to the European Court of Justice after her application to join the Maintenance- Recovery Service (Electronics) technical unit of the German Armed Forces was rejected in 1996, citing "it is barred by German law for women to perform armed services".
Brockville was originally proposed as the site for the main campus of St. Lawrence College, but Kingston was ultimately selected, since its larger population base would allow it to support a full campus. For the site, a piece of farmland was purchased from the Ontario Psychiatric Hospital (now operated by Providence Continuing Care Centre) located at King St. W. and Portsmouth Ave. Brockville would retain a smaller campus, while the Cornwall and Kingston campuses were designed to serve six counties in Eastern Ontario (namely Frontenac, Leeds, Grenville, Dundas, Stormont and Glengary). Ferguson was born in Stobhill Hospital in the Springburn district of Glasgow, to Robert and Janet Ferguson on 17 May 1962.
