He would return to Binghamton later that season, but would end his career in 1984 in Glens Falls, NY with the Adirondack Red Wings. He is a contractor and has been a hockey coach with the Southern Tier Hockey Association and Syracuse Stars minor hockey systems.

In 1984, Randy MacGregor's #11 became the only jersey in Binghamton Hockey History to be retired to the rafters. (It was unretired by the Rangers' organization in 1991) In 1998, Randy MacGregor was the first player inducted into the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame. Also part of the Hall of Fame's inaugural class was Broome Dusters' founder Jim Matthews and Detroit Red Wings General Manager Ken Holland, who spent much of his playing career in Binghamton.

He was drafted 130th overall by the Minnesota North Stars in 1977. Ken Tyler (born June 8, 1951) is a Canadian retired ice hockey coach. Tyler spent much of his career coaching the Austrian men's national team in international competitions, including the 1994 Winter Olympics. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Tyler played college hockey at McMaster University, a season of pro with the Broome Dusters and a season of senior hockey with the Cambridge Hornets. Tyler spent nine seasons coaching at McGill University, finishing with a record of 130 wins, 200 losses and 27 ties.

John Stuart Kiely (born August 3, 1952) is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender. Kiely played 22 games in the World Hockey Association with the Cincinnati Stingers during the 1975–76 season. Kiely continued his career in the AHL with the Springfield Indians and Binghamton Dusters, and in the CHL with the Oklahoma City Blazers. As a goaltender with the Vermont Catamounts men's ice hockey team, Kiely was a part of both ECAC Division II National Championships in 1972-73, and 1973-74.

Fullerton Municipal Airport can trace its origins to 1913 when barnstormers and crop dusters used the former pig farm as a makeshift landing strip. The site later became home to a sewer farm. The airport's "official" birthday is 1927. William and Robert Dowling, with the aid of H. A. Even before 1600s, Yiwu men would carry sewing needles, threads, sugar chunks and other small commodities in their bamboo baskets, using a shoulder-pole, and travel to surrounding rural villages in exchange for chicken feathers. Chicken feathers could be either used as a fertilizer for their own lands, or made into feather dusters for exporting.

Hodge had only modest success in New York in the 1976–77 season, and tailed off badly the following year before being sent down to the New Haven Nighthawks of the American Hockey League (AHL). Hodge retired thereafter, but came out of retirement in 1979–80 to play for the Binghamton Dusters of the AHL, in his final professional season. Hodge finished his NHL career with 881 games, 328 goals, 472 assists and 800 points. He still lives in the Boston area, and remains active with the Bruins' alumni team and in alumni affairs.

Production of this vehicle was performed by the tank division of the General Motors Corporation. It used components from the M41 light tank and was constructed of all-welded steel. A total of 3,700 M42s were built.

The Dust Bowl ravaged the Oklahoma Panhandle and nearby areas in the 1930s. Short-term drought and long-term poor agricultural practices led to the Dust Bowl, when massive dust storms blew away the soil from large tracts of arable land and deposited it on nearby farms or even far-distant locations. The resulting crop failures forced many small farmers to flee the state altogether. Although the most persistent dust storms primarily affected the Panhandle, much of the state experienced occasional dusters, intermittent severe drought, and occasional searing heat.

A colorful member by the name of Ding Dong organized a push cart theft ring whereby he had a group of apprentice gang members toss packages to him from a passing wagon, distracting the police. Soon the gang began to be noticed by the press as reporters met members in Greenwich Village tavern hangouts, becoming glamorized by the city. They came to represent the bohemian spirit of the area. According to author Luc Sante, activist Dorothy Day, by her own admission, spent much of her youth partying with the Dusters in Greenwich Village.

The Wild Bunch, also known as the Doolin-Dalton Gang, or the Oklahombres, were a gang of American outlaws based in the Indian Territory in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. They were active in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma Territory during the 1890s--robbing banks and stores, holding up trains, and killing lawmen. They were also known as The Oklahoma Long Riders because of the long dusters that they wore. The gang formed in the last decade of the 19th century, and most of its members were killed before 1900.

The Amarillo Venom season was the team's seventh season as a professional indoor football franchise and first in the Indoor Football League (IFL). One of twenty-five teams competing in the IFL for the 2010 season, the Amarillo, Texas-based West Texas Roughnecks were members of the Lonestar West Division of the Intense Conference. With the af2 breaking up and its larger market teams moving to Arena Football 1, the Dusters were forced to find a new league. Owner Randy Sanders applied for his team's spot in the Indoor Football League (IFL), and they were accepted as an expansion franchise.

Milkmen was among ten finalists in a "Name the Team" contest which also included: Barn Owls, Bovines, Broilers, Cheesers, Cow Tippers, Crop Dusters, Farmhands, Haymakers, and War Pigs. Due to construction delays at Routine Field, the Milkmen started their inaugural season playing their home games at Kokomo Municipal Stadium in Indiana. Former farmer revives career at West Texas A&M; He took a pause from football coaching for nine years, before becoming a volunteer coach at Abilene Christian University under head coach Gary Gaines in 2000. Trying to become a head coach again, Carthel applied for the vacant West Texas A&M; job in late 2001, but athletic director Ed Harris opted for Ronnie Jones. In 2004 Carthel was named the head coach and general manager of the Amarillo Dusters in their inaugural season in the Intense Football League. Amarillo posted a 15–3 record under Carthel and won the IFL Championship that year.

Ada Rogato (22 December 1910 – 15 November 1986) was a pioneering woman aviator from Brazil. She broke five records, becoming the first South American woman to earn a glider pilot's license and the first Brazilian woman to earn paratrooper certification. She broke the world record for the longest solo flight, was the first to fly across all three of the Americas and held the Brazilian record for the number of parachute jumps. She was also Brazil's first woman agricultural pilot, flying crop dusters for the Biological Institute to eliminate pests which were destroying the country's coffee crop.

The Rocklands moniker undoubtedly derives from Nyack, New York being located in Rockland County. The 1946 North Atlantic League standings featured the Peekskill Highlanders 82–32, Nazareth Cement Dusters 78–40, Stroudsburg Poconos 72–47, Carbondale Pioneers 69–48, Nyack Rockies 67–53, Bloomingdale Troopers 41–78, Mahanoy City Bluebirds 30–79 and Newburgh Hummingbirds/Walden Hummingbirds 27–89. The 1946 Nyack Rocklands finished their first season of play in the North Atlantic League in 5th place with a record of 67–53.

The Marginals, also called the "Paddy Irish" gang, was a New York street gang during the early 1900s which, under stevedore Thomas F. "Tanner" Smith, succeeded the longtime Hudson Dusters from their territory of New York's Lower West Side. Based between Tenth and Ninth, the gang emerged around the turn of the century involved in extortion and labor slugging. During police crackdown's on the cities street gangs during the early 1910s, eight members of the Tanner Smiths were apprehended along with members of the Gas House and Car Barn Gangs in September 1910. Tanner and Owney Madden, then leader of the Gopher Gang, had been allies against the Hudson Dusters and eventually formed a close working relationship. Together they opened the Winona Club, a clubhouse intended to serve as a joint rendezvous and headquarters, located on West Forty-Seventh Street near Tenth Avenue. The gang's unruly behavior at the club soon disrupted life in the relatively well-to-do neighborhood as its members regularly "engaged in drunken revels and made the night hideous with the sound of their bickerings and brawlings". While the pigs, sheep and beef herd are removed, and the oldest chickens slaughtered and turned into feather dusters, Ruth manages to keep two pigs on as part of a "Pig Club" with their neighbours. Alex and Peter spend much of the episode generating silage to feed their remaining animals over winter.

By the 1860s, the Boodlers had perfected their techniques and had begun robbing messengers and couriers in the financial district. The gang's activities became very lucrative, particularly in January 1866 when two members robbed a courier carrying $14,000 and escaping by jumping onto a wagon losing their pursuers by clogging traffic in Beekman Street with three other carts. While the police were never able to halt their activities, the gang fared poorly during various gang wars during the 1890s, especially against the Hudson Dusters who would come to dominate the area by the end of the decade. The Boodle moniker failed to instill fear among rival gangs.

The Hudson Dusters were a New York City street gang during the early twentieth century. Formed in the late 1890s by "Circular Jack", "Kid Yorke", and "Goo Goo Knox", the gang began operating from an apartment house on Hudson Street. Knox, a former member of the Gopher Gang, had fled after a failed attempt to gain leadership of the gang from then-leader Marty Brennan. However the two gangs later became allies during the gang wars against Gay Nineties gangs, the Potashes and Boodle Gangs, soon controlling most of Manhattan's West Side as far as 13th Street and eastern Broadway, bordering Paul Kelly's Five Points Gang to the north.

Macon Downtown Airport has its origins beginning in World War I as "Camp Wheeler". As early as 1925, Huff Daland Dusters, the precursor of Delta Air Lines, based its crop dusting operation at Camp Wheeler. In 1936 the City of Macon purchased 250 acres of airfield for $107,000 to replace its inadequate "Miller Field" to support Eastern Air Transport's passenger and mail service to Macon. Then the Works Project Administration began a $500,000 project that included a hangar, a 24 x 56-ft, administration building, and a concrete apron. The new airport was dedicated on November 11, 1937, and named in honor of the current mayor, Herbert Smart.

The Pakistan Red Crescent began to operate independently of the government as the result of a dispute that arose after the Red Crescent took possession of 20 rafts donated by the British Red Cross. A pesticide company had to wait two days before it received permission for two of its crop dusters, which were already in the country, to carry out supply drops in the affected regions. In 1932, the Association made a small scale-model of an electrical working-class kitchen at an exhibition at Central Hall, Westminster, sponsored by the voluntary Housing Societies of London. Among its other projects were the 1934 report Electricity in the Working-Class Home, the 1935 all-electric house in Bristol, the 1936 film Motion Study in the Home and the Electrical Housecraft School, run by Dorothy Vaughan, which opened in 1933. The EAW published recipe books, ran courses on Electricity for Everyday Living and developed an Electrical Housecraft Certificate and diploma course. In the 1950s and 60s, they produced series of tea towels, pinnies and dusters to inform women about electrical safety.

In the Battle of An Bao from 5–6 May elements of the PAVN 3rd Division ambushed a unit of the 1st Battalion, 50th Infantry Regiment (Mechanized) losing 117 killed for the loss of 18 U.S. killed. On 10 May the PAVN 2nd Regiment was seen near the hamlet of Trung Hoi (2), west of Landing Zone Uplift. On the morning of 11 May Companies B and C, 1/50th Infantry and 2 M42 Dusters moved along Route 506 4 km west of LZ Uplift to investigate the sighting finding an abandoned battalion-size trench complex off Route 506. Forming 2 separate defense perimeters 650m apart they sent out scouts to explore the area.

A restored Huff Daland Duster Delta's origins can be traced to an agricultural and aviation effort that came together in the early 1920s to find a solution to the boll weevil infestation that was destroying cotton crops. Entomologist B. R. Coad led a team of researchers at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's field laboratory in Tallulah, Louisiana, and with loaned Army pilots and aircraft developed improvements that determined "dusting" of insecticide powder from the air would be the most effective form of treatment. Working with Coad, an aircraft manufacturing company (Huff- Daland Aero Corporation) built the world's first airplane designed for crop- dusting and formed a subsidiary, Huff Daland Dusters Inc., to market and operate that new service.

Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Molleken began his pro career with the Philadelphia Firebirds of the North American Hockey League in 1976-77. He moved to the International Hockey League and tended goal for the Saginaw Gears and Toledo Goaldiggers, played in the Central Hockey League with the Indianapolis Checkers, and reached the American Hockey League with the Binghamton Dusters and, primarily, for the Springfield Indians. By the early 1950s the aerodrome on the Common had closed. The land returned to grazing use however the aero tie down stations remained, the old aero work shop became a metal working shop ( Coghlan and Russell ) and the common was still being used by crop dusters and other bi-planes up till early 60's who would make sweeps low down to herd cattle away from the landing approach. It was rumored that Percy mentioned above also completed the "first" under bridge pass of the steel Moorabool Street bridge. Gliding was still conducted up till early 1960s as well at the Common with a winch truck used to winch the gliders to sufficient thermal height.

The 5th Battalion was activated on 1 July 1983, the first and only Roland-equipped United States Army unit, and reached initial operating capability in December 1985. The majority of its personnel volunteered for full-time service at McGregor Range, administered by Fort Bliss. As a result, the battalion was affiliated with the active 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade and under the control of Central Command and Forces Command. During its five years of existence, the battalion made 101 Roland firings during exercises. The 4th Battalion replaced its now obsolete M42 Dusters with the Chaparral missile system and its Battery B at Springer became the headquarters and headquarters battery of the new 6th Battalion on 15 November 1986.

Oklahoma's largest oil field up to about 1920 was discovered in 1912 by Pennsylvanian Tom Slick who thereafter became known as the "King of the Wildcatters". Determined to become a millionaire, Slick came to Oklahoma during the winter of 1911 to find "the big one". Although Slick initially found nothing but "dusters" (dry holes), perseverance and luck eventually brought him to the farm of Frank Wheeler, located approximately east of Cushing, Oklahoma, in what would become Drumright, Oklahoma, where "the smell of oil sands was perfume to his nostrils". Wheeler had purchased his land, located in the midst of allotments forced upon reluctant Creek Indians, for sixty-five cents an acre shortly before statehood in 1907.

Delta Air Lines' history begins with the world's first aerial crop dusting operation called Huff Daland Dusters, Inc. The company was founded on March 2, 1925, in Macon, Georgia before moving to Monroe, Louisiana in summer 1925. They flew a Huff-Daland Duster, the first true crop duster, designed to combat the boll weevil infestation of cotton crops. C.E. Woolman, general manager and later Delta's first CEO, led a group of local investors to acquire the company's assets. Delta Air Service was incorporated on December 3, 1928, and named after the Mississippi Delta region. Passenger operations began on June 17, 1929, from Dallas, Texas, to Jackson, Mississippi, with stops at Shreveport and Monroe, Louisiana.

Gerald Warren Fahr (December 9, 1924 - February 12, 2010) was an American professional baseball player, a right-handed pitcher who played in the minor leagues from 1947–1956, with the exception of a five-game Major League trial as a relief pitcher for the Cleveland Indians during the 1951 season. Born in Marmaduke, Arkansas, Fahr made his professional debut with the Vernon Dusters, and played for them for two seasons. In 1947, he had a win-loss record of 16-18, then had a 21-8 record and a 1.96 earned run average (ERA). After spending 1949 with three teams, Fahr played for the Shreveport Sports in 1950, and had a 10-6 record and a 2.72 ERA.

Ulik belongs to a race of Rock Trolls who live in the dimension of Asgard in the "Domain of Trolls" in Nornheim. Ulik proves to be a match for Thor, as the character possessing increasing strength and is equipped with knuckle dusters made of the metal uru (the same metal of which Mjolnir is composed).

After recruiting Jesse Quitsland, the band embarked on a US tour in late 1998 and early 1999 followed by a European tour accompanied with Spanish band Aina. The two acts concluded the tour with a split single, and the Capitol City Dusters took a year-long hiatus to rest from their hectic scheduling. By 2001, the band returned from their break to record their second album Rock Creek, released in April 2002. Recognized as a concept album, Allison Fields of Pitchfork noted Rock Creek possesses influences from Fugazi on several tracks, most notably the opening song "Superimposed". The styles of the band, as music critic Jimmy Askew wrote for Snap Pop magazine, perfected the blend "between Quitslund’s quirky arrangements and guitarist Alec Bourgeois’ straightforward pop".

The outcome of an ingestion event and whether it causes an accident, be it on a small fast plane, such as military jet fighters, or a large transport, depends on the number and weight of birds and where they strike the fan blade span or the nose cone. Core damage usually results with impacts near the blade root or on the nose cone. The highest risk of a bird strike occurs during takeoff and landing in the vicinity of airports, and during low-level flying, for example by military aircraft, crop dusters and helicopters.

Battery A, 1/12 Marines prepare to fire their 105 mm gun in 1969 On 20 January People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN) artillery and rockets firing from across the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) hit Camp Carroll causing little damage. At 13:30 on 24 January elements of the PAVN 320th Division ambushed a Marine "Rough Rider" convoy on Route 9, from Camp Carroll (). The 4th Marines at Camp Carroll sent a reaction force of Company H 2/9 Marines, 2 M48s and an M67 Flame Thrower Tank from Company B, 3rd Tank Battalion and 2 M42 Dusters from Company C, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment to assist the convoy. The PAVN were ready for the reaction force and immobilized the lead M48 with recoilless rifle fire killing the company commander.

La Vang Airfield parking area, March 1968 The base was located in La Vang, 2km south of Quảng Trị beside Highway 1. The base was used by the ARVN 1st Regiment, 1st Division. Cessna O-1 Bird Dog observation and Forward Air Control aircraft of the 20th Tactical Air Support Squadron used the airfield at La Vang as a forward operating base, with 4 aircraft usually operating there by 1968. On 20 January 1968 the 3rd Marine Regiment established their command post at the base as they took over responsibility for Operation Osceola. Other US units at the base were the 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, a 105mm artillery battery of the 3rd Battalion, 12th Marines, a provisional 155mm artillery battery and M42 Dusters of Battery A, 1st Battalion, 44th Artillery.

Machine-guns initially included a small number of Maxim or Vickers medium machine-guns, but subsequently also included the Lewis light machine-gun, the latter two of which were issued in greater numbers as the war continued so as to increase the firepower available to the infantry in response to the tactical problems of trench warfare. Light horse units underwent a similar process, although were issued Hotchkiss guns to replace their Lewis guns in early 1917. From 1916 the Stokes light trench mortar was issued to infantry to replace a range of trench catapults and smaller trench mortars, whilst it was also used in a battery at brigade-level to provide organic indirect fire support. The university owned a series of female cougars, but this tradition ceased in 1989, upon the death of Shasta V. When a cougar cub was orphaned in Washington State and moved to the Houston Zoo in 2011, the university adopted it as its first live male cougar mascot. The Frontiersmen - initially exclusive to members of the Sigma Chi fraternity, but later opened membership to the entire student body - is a group of students who participate in university events to drive school spirit. At football games, the Frontiersmen—donning cowboy hats, Wrangler Jeans, and dusters for attire—run across the field with the university's flag and the Flag of Texas after each score. Crewman of 3rd Tank Battalion keeps watch for PAVN snipers east of Con Thien At 02:15 on 2 February the PAVN attacked the Combined Action Company P headquarters at Cam Lộ. The Marines, supported by a detachment of US Army M42 Dusters held off the PAVN attack until relieved by a quick reaction force from 2/9 Marines. The PAVN lost 111 killed and 23 captured while the Marines lost 2 dead and 18 wounded and the US Army lost 1 killed. On 7 February the PAVN ambushed a patrol by a platoon from Company K 3/3 Marines south of Con Thien, killing 9 Marines including the Platoon Commander. The remainder of Company K moved to reinforce the ambushed platoon and were themselves ambushed from well-concealed PAVN bunkers, suffering 18 killed and 10 wounded in the first 5 minutes, including the Platoon commanders and their radio operators.

During a brawl between members of the Neighbors' Sons and the Hudson Dusters on Staten Island in July 1912, in which three unidentified men approached several men loitering on the corner of Horatio and Washington Streets and began firing in full view of hundreds witnesses, casualties included at least one man, William Jenks, who had been shot in the spine and lungs. Enraged, Shredder proceeded to have the duo mutated in Stockman-Fly's lab despite Steranko's pleas for forgiveness. As the result of each mutagen batch getting mixed with warthog and white rhinoceros DNA, Zeck mutated into a tall and thin humanoid mutant warthog with a short left tusk, heightened smell, superhuman strength, and the high tech parts of his suit fused onto his skin, while Steranko mutated into an 8 ft. humanoid mutant white rhino with a hook-lipped mouth (similar to a black rhinoceros' mouth), a jagged horn used as a sword or battering ram, superhuman strength and charging speed, and the tops of his knuckle dusters and shoulder pads (which end up assuming a different shape and growing a third spike on each) fused onto his skin.

As of December 2, 2010, LeDuff is a reporter for WJBK, the Fox affiliate in Detroit, Michigan. The tone soon changes however as the Chorus recalls the regimental drill and the organizational stuff-ups that have been the bane of the ordinary civilian soldier's life until now and it contemplates in bitterness the officers who have been lions at home and mere foxes in the field. The tone brightens again as Trygaeus returns to the stage, dressed for the festivities of a wedding. Tradesmen and merchants begin to arrive singly and in pairs – a sickle-maker and a jar-maker whose businesses are flourishing again now that peace has returned, and others whose businesses are failing. The sickle-maker and jar- maker present Trygaeus with wedding presents and Trygaeus offers suggestions to the others about what they can do with their merchandise: helmet crests can be used as dusters, spears as vine props, breastplates as chamber pots, trumpets as scales for weighing figs, and helmets could serve as mixing bowls for Egyptians in need of emetics or enemas.
