Next, El Samurai took on Masayoshi Motegi. Kurihara in 2007 after she broke her clavicle On July 16, 2007 at the Pro Wrestling NEO "Summer Stampede '07" show in Korakuen Hall, while teaming alongside Shuu Shibutani versus Aoi Kizuki and Nagisa Nozaki, Kurihara broke her clavicle receiving a hard flying clothesline by Kizuki. Kurihara finished the match, hitting three more missile dropkicks before scoring the pinfall. She returned to action on December 9, 2007 to compete in the main event tag match in Michiko Ohmukai's retirement show, but re-aggravated her injury causing her to need surgery. On December 20, 2007, Kurihara underwent the surgery in which the doctor removed bone and bone marrow from her hip to use to reconstruct her clavicle along with a titanium plate and screws.

Minowa made his PRIDE Fighting Championships debut against future UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Around this time, he would briefly join the Brazilian Top Team, becoming its first Japanese member and the only who didn't come from a Brazilian jiu-jitsu background. Minowa was known in PRIDE for his entertaining entrances and sporting of the Japanese flag as a cape as well as his aggressive, high-risk style of fighting which has seen him employ flying dropkicks amongst other pro-wrestling derived maneuvers. It was also during his career with PRIDE that he continued to cement his legacy in taking on fighters that were much bigger than himself, winning most of the resultant freak show fights and earning the nickname "The Giant Killer".

La Ola Amarilla takes the second fall after 4:35 when Okumura dropkicks La Sombra, followed by Taichi driving La Sombra into the mat with an Over the shoulder back to belly piledriver, also known as the "Schwein", leaving La Sombra vulnerable for Tanahashi to land his trademark "High Fly Flow" Frog splash for the pinfall.

Owen Hart had his third WrestleMania WWF Tag Team Championship match The WWF Tag Team Championship match began with Jeff Jarrett and D'Lo Brown exchanging running maneuvers before both tagging in their respective partners at which point Test used a pumphandle slam on Owen Hart, but tried again after a failed pin-count only to be met with an enziguiri and then the Sharpshooter. Brown came in illegally to break it up but was tagged in straight afterward, dominating both Hart and Jarrett with power slams and dropkicks, almost winning the match after a Sky High that was broken up by Jarrett. Referee Jimmy Korderas was distracted when Debra (Debra Marshall) came to the apron to distract Brown only to be pulled down by Ivory (Lisa Moretti), at which point PMS (Terri Runnels and Jacqueline Moore) arrived and all of them began to fight while Test tried to pull them apart.
