John is calcimining and decorating the theater and Waldo, a scenic artist, is painting the drop curtains and other scenery.

At its highest point, it was above the stage. The curtains utilized in Corteo were painted in watercolors and were inspired by a painting from 1885 by Adolphe Willette. The Roll Drop curtains were about in width and in height. The inner curtains were constructed in Canada and sent to France to be painted.

It was favorably received. The firm of Heller and Gag also performed interior decoration of homes and clubs, painted drop curtains for theatres, and at times employed up to 30 workmen for their many projects. Gag painted an estimated 60 works: his 1904 painting Battle of New Ulm (1904) depicted part of the Dakota War. It is displayed in the Minnesota State Capitol.

It boasted spacious classrooms, administrative offices, a nurse's room, an auditorium, a library, a music room, a laboratory for chemistry and physics classes, an industrial arts workshop, a home economics room, and separate girls' and boys' play rooms. The school auditorium was unusually well appointed. It included a balcony and a professionally equipped stage, complete with drop curtains, overhead lighting, and sunken footlights. The school's colors were blue and white and the school team was named "The Larks".

Afterwards artisans of Ilobasco joined the team and students of the then Bachillerato en Artes led by the master artisan Carlos Cañas. Multiple architectural styles were enriched in the fusion of the construction of the National Theatre including: Versailles Style, Rococo, Romanticism, and Art Nouveau, with regional touches. Some of the furniture was elaborated in the shop of the theatre, the rest of the furniture, rugs, carpets, armchairs, and lecterns, were imported from the United States. The drop curtains of the stage and the lights of the boxes and halls, were brought from Austria.

As for the aforementioned auditorium and club rooms on the bottom floor "there are two club rooms given over to the XLI Club, and an auditorium equipped with chairs and lights, drop curtains and a scenery painted by a local scene painter, and representing a view from the city park". The club rooms were often used by fellow community groups such as the "young men's club, of the mothers'clubs, the story hour, cooking demonstrations, meeting of the girls' training club, of the school board, and various other affairs". It was noted that these club rooms were open to public use as to "uplift the community and endear the public library to the people". During the initial years of the library's operation, Cooke County Representative George W. Dayton and Lillian Gunter began crafting the Texas County Library Law in 1915.
