In the opening match against Austria, Wales took the lead through Arfon Griffiths, but eventually lost 2–1. A decision which according to IRB’s Mark Egan "Is disappointing for the Nigerian rugby team and their Rugby Union. There is a chance to get going with their Rugby 7s surge as the team will be competing at the Africa Men 7s in September 2014 in Kenya with the likes of South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Madagascar, Tunisia, Morocco, Ivory Coast and Zambia." Celtic were eliminated from the 2018–19 Champions League qualifying phase by AEK Athens in the penultimate round, subsequently progressing to the group stage of the Europa League, where they were drawn alongside the two clubs with strong links to the Red Bull company – RB Leipzig and FC Red Bull Salzburg – along with Rosenborg. Zenga was sacked with three matchdays to go in the Divizia A, but Steaua eventually won the title, performance repeated the following year with manager Cosmin Olăroiu. In the 2007–08 UEFA Champions League, they eliminated Zagłębie Lubin (1–0 away and 2–1 home) and BATE Borisov (2–2 away and 2–0 home) to reach the group stage, where they were drawn alongside Arsenal, Sevilla and Sparta Prague.
