Michael Karl "Dozer" Shower (born February 14, 1968) is an American politician and a Republican member of the Alaska State Senate since February 22, 2018, representing District E. Shower was appointed by Governor Bill Walker to fill a vacancy created by Mike Dunleavy, who resigned in order to focus on his run for governor. Shower is an Air Force veteran and a pilot for FedEx. Shower has an MBA from Touro University. He reached the rank of lieutenant colonel as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, piloting F-15C Eagles and F-22 Raptors.

The Rawhide Mine is a coal mine located 10 miles (16.1 km) north of Gillette, Wyoming in the United States in the coal-rich Powder River Basin. The mine is an open pit mine that utilizes a combination of cast blast/dozer push and truck/shovel mining methods to strip an average of 165 feet (50.3m) of overburden off of approximately 105 (32.0m) feet of coal. Rawhide produces a low-sulfur, sub-bituminous coal from the Roland and Smith seams. This coal is used for domestic energy generation and shipped to customers via railroad.

George Alan Smith, a local cowboy and heavy equipment operator, came up with the idea of holding a rodeo. George talked Pegar (of Pegar's 'Y') into donating the land, and then he leveled and build the grounds with his D-9 CAT bull-dozer. Unida released one album, Coping with the Urban Coyote and a split EP with the Swedish group Dozer. A snow groomer (informally called a "piste basher" in the United Kingdom) is a tracked vehicle equipped in front with a shovel (or dozer blade) and behind with a cutter (or roller). It is usually driven by diesel engines. When the machine drives over a snowfield, it pushes snow ahead of it and, at the same time, smooths out any surface unevenness. It would later be released in Japan on September 22, 2005, and in North America on February 6, 2006. The game was localized by Nintendo of America's Treehouse division, specifically by employee Thomas Connery, who translated all of the Japanese text into English, and fellow Treehouse employee Eric Peterson's job was to rewrite and polish it afterward. These combat engineering vehicles combine the earth moving capabilities of the bulldozer with armor which protects the vehicle and its operator in or near combat. Most are civilian bulldozers modified by addition of vehicle armor/military equipment, but some are tanks stripped of armament and fitted with a dozer blade. Some tanks have bulldozer blades while retaining their armament, but this does not make them armored bulldozers as such, because combat remains the primary role – earth moving is a secondary task.

Nagmachon is a heavily armoured infantry fighting vehicle fielded by the Israel Defense Forces. The Nagmachon evolved from the NagmaSho't APC, which in turn was based on Centurion Sho't hulls from the 1970s and 1980s. The vehicle carries thick belly armour designed to withstand mine-blasts and mountings on the front hull for various engineering devices such as mine plows, mine rollers and dozer blades. In addition to its belly armour and the relatively heavy armour of the Centurion hull, the Nagmachon also carries explosive reactive armour to counter HEAT rounds, such as rocket propelled grenades.

While blue with a black chassis is currently the livery for the more basic 2wd cabless models. Up to the 1950s MTZ had not produced wheeled tractors, tracked crawler tractors being more common. These early tractors were essentially re-claimed tanks, with the gun turret removed and a flatbed, winch, crane or dozer blade added, the tractors seeing more use on land reclamation and forestry applications rather than agriculture. This was largely due to the tanks being unsuitable for large-scale cultivation, as their engine, transmission and track reliability were poor due to not being designed for pulling loads for long periods, as required in agriculture.

The transmission was initially a three-speed manual and high-low-reverse splitter gearbox with a relatively small Borg & Beck 18 inch single plate dry clutch. This small clutch plate had a reputation for early failure if worked hard. An improvement from mid- production was the option of a Rolls-Royce hydraulic torque converter, the same converters Rolls-Royce were supplying with the same engines for the new British Rail DMU fleet. A full range of accessories were offered: front dozer blades with cable or hydraulic lifts, rear ripper blades for breaking virgin bush as farmland in Australia, and a rear logging winch of 30,000 to 50,000 lbf pull.

The Frog and Matilda dozer were used in combat by the Armoured Squadron (Special Equipment) during the Borneo Campaign. The 2/4th Armoured Regiment was issued six Matilda Hedgehogs, but they did not arrive in Bougainville until after the end of the war. The 4th Armoured Brigade also trialled modifications to the Matilda II and Grant that sought to waterproof the tanks so they could travel through rivers and coastal waters. As well as trialling new tank variants, the Brigade developed an ammunition and fuel trailer, which could be towed by Matilda II tanks; these trailers were used in combat zones by the 2/4th and 2/9th Armoured Regiments.

70th Tank Battalion was expecting to have to help neutralize beach fortifications in the immediate area, but since this job was quickly completed by the infantry, they had little to do initially. The landing area was almost totally secure by 08:30, at which point combat teams prepared to push further inland along the causeways. Meanwhile, additional waves of reinforcements continued to arrive on the beach. Removal of mines and obstacles from the beach, a job that had to be performed quickly before the tide came in at 10:30, was the assignment of 237th and 299th Combat Engineer Battalions and the eight dozer tanks.

Eric Fehr (born September 7, 1985) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who is currently playing for Genève-Servette HC of the National League (NL). He was drafted in the first round, 18th overall, by the Washington Capitals in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. The following day, residents on Atlas Peak and other unincorporated areas of Napa were allowed to return to their homes. Weather conditions improved, enabling crews to gain further containment, with dozer lines expanding, more hand crews arriving and air support continuing, specifically on the southern, easter and western flanks. A flotation screen could be erected around the upper hull in about 20 minutes, and the tracks would drive the tank at about in water. This skill makes him useful to the Security Forces, and the chance to end Stron- Domez's threat gives Charlie a reason to help them.

Los Natas toured around the United States (1998-2000), Europe (2003-04) where they shared stages with important bands of the genre such as Queens of the Stone Age, Nebula, The Men of Porn, Unida, Dozer, Circle, Colour Haze, and Brant Bjork & the Bros., among others. They have been doing a bunch of theme oriented gigs/festival that where created by them called Viernes Verdes (Green Fridays) that has had 10 editions so far and it takes place in Buenos Aires's main theaters, the band plays while there are psychedelic projections in the background which gain such importance as the band itself. They also present in other provinces of the country and in numerous places in Buenos Aires.

Clover joined Kobalt in the fight, but was shot in the leg and forced to the sidelines after a battle with one more of St. Cloud's enhanced enforcers, an armored thug named Dozer. Kobalt's psychotic gun-toting former partner Harvest enters the fray searching for the witness to a mass murder orchestrated by St. Cloud (he had the gang who bought his resold guns wiped out). He, Kobalt, the federal government (including an agent named Kennel, who can shape-shift into any breed of dog), Dakota police and a psychotic killer named Rabid are all after one Chris Doonan for different reasons. Kobalt wants him alive to talk about what he saw, as do the police.

Lowrider is a Swedish stoner rock band, formed in Karlstad in the mid-1990s by bassist/singer Peder Bergstrand and lead guitarist/singer Ole Hellquist, along with guitarist Niclas Stalfors and drummer Andreas Eriksson. Lowrider released the Nebula/Lowrider Double EP in 1999 together with ambassadors of psychedelic stoner rock, Nebula, who had just come into existence after their members departed from Fu Manchu. The EP was released in time for the beginning of Lowrider's European tour in 2000, when they played fourteen venues in eight countries, co-headlining with Dozer and once with Spiritual Beggars . Their debut album Ode to Io was released the same year and unleashed a controversy regarding their musical influences.

This resulted in the formation of MeteorCity Records and the release of the compilation Welcome to MeteorCity in 1998, which included established desert and stoner rock acts, as well as new bands established by John Garcia of Kyuss, Ed Mundell of Monster Magnet, and Pete Stahl of Goatsnake. The album was the first time that the new stoner rock bands Sixty Watt Shaman, Lowrider, The Atomic Bitchwax, Dozer, Goatsnake, and Los Natas were featured on record.

The Msta is a modern howitzer designed for deployment either as an unarmored towed gun, or to be fitted in armored self-propelled artillery mountings. Current production of the towed model is designated Msta-B, while the self-propelled model is the Msta-S (also known by the GRAU index 2S19). Development of the 2S19 started in 1980 under the project name Ferma. The prototype was known as Ob'yekt 316. The 2S19's standard equipment consists of a semi-automatic laying system 1P22, an automatic loader, an NBC protection system, passive night vision device for the driver, a wading kit, a dozer blade, a smoke generator and 81mm smoke launchers, 1V116 intercom system and a 16 kW generator AP-18D.

There is no set template for what such a vehicle will look like, yet likely features include a large dozer blade or mine ploughs, a large calibre demolition cannon, augers, winches, excavator arms and cranes or lifting booms. These vehicles are designed to directly conduct obstacle breaching operations and to conduct other earth-moving and engineering work on the battlefield. The AEV 3 Kodiak typically uses surplus Leopard 2 hulls from existing users, but is available as a new-build vehicle on a current-generation Leopard 2 hull. Generic modifications include the removal of the turret and installation of a completely new fixed superstructure, the installation of a hydraulic mounting for a dozer blade or mine clearing plough, and the installation of a telescopic arm typically fitted with an excavator bucket. Hull structure and layout The fixed superstructure of the AEV 3 Kodiak is constructed from all- welded steel, the protection level of which is classified, and for which a mine-protection package has been developed. The superstructure features a split air-conditioned crew compartment on the front left and front right of the vehicle.

"Sonic Reducer" is a punk rock song written by Cheetah Chrome and David Thomas during their tenure in Rocket from the Tombs, which made its recorded debut on the Dead Boys 1977 album Young, Loud and Snotty with a change of lyrics that were rewritten by Stiv Bators. The song is widely regarded as a punk classic and has been covered by bands as varied as Guns N' Roses, Overkill, Pearl Jam, Veislakt, Foetus, Dozer, Leeway, Die Toten Hosen and Saves the Day. The song appeared on the UK compilation album "New Wave", produced by UK actor and mystic, Pete Knobbler. The song was sampled on the Beastie Boys song "An Open Letter to NYC" on their 2004 album To The 5 Boroughs.

An interviewer described Jill's appearance as eccentric, and asked Peterson if anything had been done to transition from Japan to America. Peterson stated that while things often do change during localization, Jill was already interesting enough that she didn't need to be changed; he also added that the Drill Dozer itself was as much of a character as Jill was, citing the scene where the drill had to go on its own to find her. The game originally released in Japan and North America only, meaning it only released with a Japanese and English script at first. However a full pentalingual translation for an eventual European release was finalised in 2006, yet the game was never announced for a European release.

Bulldozers or tanks modified to carry a bulldozer blade were used to open gaps in hedgerows. Some hedgerows were so thick that engineers first had to blow a hole in the bank, which a bulldozer would later clear and widen. This time- consuming process slowed down the progress of the Allied offensive, and was compounded by the problem of the conspicuous bulldozers and dozer tanks being targeted by German gunners to deny the Allies a means to break through.

The Klallams claimed that the Chimakums were nearly extinct at the time of the Point No Point Treaty and that those few Chimakums left had been absorbed into the Klallam tribe. The Klallams had occupied the former Chimakum lands and claimed them as their own. In 1957 the commission recognized the Klallam claim of possession of the Chimakum lands at the time of the treaty and granted compensation of over $400,000. In 1962, skeletal remains of slain Indians were discovered by a dozer doing some work around the Chimacum Creek area, and after proper excavation by Lewis Agnew, a retired archaeologist recently relocated to Port Townsend, two Indian skeletal remains were unearthed with stone arrows still lodged in their bones from sometime prior to the road being constructed through that area in 1860.

The Wedding & Bebek Betutu is an Indonesian comedy film produced by Awan Sinema Kreasi (ASIK Production) and directed by Hilman Mutasi, based on original screenplay written by Tantri Arinta and S. Tomo. The cast consists mainly of actors and comedians previously renowned as regular performers in a popular Indonesian television comedy variety show, Extravaganza, that includes Tora Sudiro, Ronal Surapradja, Tike Priatnakusumah, Indra Birowo, Aming Sugandhi, Virnie Ismail, Rony Dozer, Sogi Indra Dhuaja, Mieke Amalia, Omesh, Tj Ruth, Ence Bagus, and Edric Tjandra. The Wedding & Bebek Betutu will be the first single project where mostly all the performers reunite and appear together since the show ended in 2009. The film was announced in a special gathering of the cast, held in a restaurant in South Jakarta area, on February 18, 2015.

Ghost Brigade was formed in 2005 by former members of the melodic death metal band Sons of Aeon (Wille Naukkarinen and Tommi Kiviniemi), the stoner metal band Sunride (Wille Naukkarinen, Veli-Matti Suihkonen and Janne Julin) and the death metal band Paraxism (Manne Ikonen). They recorded several songs which were gathered in a demo album, released in 2006. The following year, they started to record several songs such as "Along The Barriers" and "Horns", which led to the band deciding to record their first proper studio album, Guided By Fire, with their "house engineer" Mikko Poikolainen. It was released on September 17, 2007 via Season Of Mist as a digital download and later reissued in 2012 in a clear vinyl edition.. It was the first album of the band to feature Aleksi Munter, the keyboardist of the melodic death metal band Swallow The Sun and the only to feature Fredrik Nordin, the vocalist of the stoner metal band Dozer as guest vocals.

Reason to Live features many standout tracks including "All Things Come to Pass" which features Sixty Watt Shaman and guest performers Scott Reeder (Kyuss, The Obsessed) and Scott "Wino" Weinrich (The Obsessed, Saint Vitus) who were brought together again after having played together years earlier in The Obsessed for this live jam performance. Before the release of Reason to Live, Sixty Watt Shaman toured Europe with Karma to Burn, playing with many of their European contemporaries such as Dozer. After the release, they embarked on a full US tour with Alabama Thunderpussy and dates with Clutch that culminated in a final tour date at their hometown venue, 9:30 Club, Washington D.C. on January 4, 2003. After the end of that US tour, lead singer, Daniel Soren, moved to the mid-west and worked on other projects including The Mighty Nimbus with Pete Campbell; and, also, a project out of Norman, Oklahoma with Chris "Paco" Johnson and Forrest Smith, playing shows in Norman and Oklahoma City.

By this time the Japanese threat had lessened, and US and British-made M3 Grant and Matilda tanks were being supplied to Australia from the Middle East, and it was felt that Australia's manufacturing resources would be better spent on railway locomotive production. Experience during operations later led to the development of specialised armoured equipment by Australian industry for use in jungle operations in the South West Pacific Area. A range of modifications were subsequently developed for the Matilda, including the fitting of wire mesh screens or metal tracking over the engine and air louvres to protect it against magnetic mines, an armoured shield on top of the hull to protect the turret ring, a microphone and headset attached to the rear to act as a telephone for infantry co-operation, waterproofing equipment for deep wading, a tank dozer, a flamethrowing tank called the Matilda Frog, and one capable of firing a salvo of naval mortar bombs, known as the Matilda Hedgehog. The Frog was capable of projecting a flame , while the Hedgehog was designed to fire multiple projectiles at concrete blockhouses.

The Sherman suffered from poor ammunition storage. Welded-on appliqué armor and water jackets were added to combat the problem. A U.S. Army study in 1945 concluded that 60–80 percent of the older dry-stowage and 10–15 percent of wet-stowage Shermans burned when penetrated. The Sherman gained grim nicknames such as "Tommycooker" from the Germans, who called British soldiers "Tommies". Technically, the M4's design was capable of handling larger guns than the 75 mm and 76 mm guns with which they left the factory. The British fitted Shermans with the more powerful Ordnance Quick Firing 17 pounder (76.2 mm) gun, a variant known informally as the Firefly. By the time of the Normandy campaign, the M4 had become the workhorse tank of the Allied forces. Some M4 Mediums were equipped with the Duplex Drive system (Sherman DD), which allowed them to swim using a collapsible screen and inflated rubber tubes. Along with this were the M4 Dozer (an M4 with a bulldozer blade), the T34 Calliope (mounting a multiple rocket launcher above the turret), the M4A3R3 Flame thrower (flame tank), and the Sherman Crab Mark I (a M4 Medium with a mine flail), as well as many other variants.
