Max suffers the loss of much of his family in Faded Steel Heat, and dotes on his surviving daughter, Alyx. Max Weider is mentioned throughout the series, but he makes his first appearance in Faded Steel Heat.

Although he is about 60 years old and wheelchair-bound by an unspecified condition, Chodo is still a very menacing figure; there is a ruthlessness about him that makes even his henchmen seem kind by comparison. As head of the Outfit, he is one of the most powerful men in TunFaire.

The anime series, directed by Takayuki Inagaki who has worked on Desert Punk and Indian Summer, has an abundance of fanservice and panty shots that have been heavily criticized from reviewers in manga and anime, who have compared the show to panty-ridden series such as Najica Blitz Tactics and Agent Aika. Lumbard was disgusted by the fanservice of weird sexual imagery around Yukari, and lowered his overall opinion of the second anime series because of it. Høgset wrote that the series was like Shuffle! with more fanservice with "average 'all the girls dotes on the guy' stupidity".

He is a hard taskmaster, often annoyingly saying "Bip, bip, bip!" to mean "hurry!" In addition to being disliked by most of his workers, he becomes anti-transgenic in the second season after the existence of Manticore's creations becomes public. Normal dotes on Alec and calls him his "golden boy," unaware that he is a transgenic.

Susan Hapgood- A novelist and follower of the Realist faction who dotes on Taub, Susan is perhaps meant to represent the younger McCarthy, or perhaps Elizabeth Hardwick, McCarthy's friend and fellow novelist. Harold Sidney- Based on William Phillips, a co-editor of The Partisan Review with Philip Rahv, Sidney is Taub's second-in-command. Though less capricious than Taub, he is equally conniving, and, when the time comes for him to speak out against Lockman, Macdermott, and the Purists, he is also equally inept.

She keeps to herself for the most part, playing with her weird dolls, which she apparently makes herself. Her personality is more quiet and passive as compared to her aggressive sisters, and she seems to have eccentric tastes. She wears a strange eye patch in her hair and is often dressed in long-sleeved dresses that is much too large for her it seems. As with the other Noyamano sisters, she dotes on Ikki like a part of their family, though Ringo is the only one to have stepped from a brotherly-sisterly love to a romantic relationship in the family.

The film is set in the Punnapra- Vayalar-Haripad area of Coastal Kerala, a hotbed during the Communist movement in Kerala in the 50s. The story is about Chellappan (Sathyan) a fiercely dedicated Communist and an employee at Chacko's business, where he has become a respected leader among the working class by organising pickets and strikes. He, however, neglects his family, abusing his wife Bhavani (Sheela) and their two children, a boy named Kuttappan (to whom Chellappan is indifferent), and a younger girl named Kumari (on whom he dotes). Chellappan is depicted as a man of weak moral fiber (he is shown to have a weakness for numerous other women).

Throughout the story, Marv often shows a good-natured, humorous side, unresentful of even the worst that fate can throw at him and often showing a wry laconic sense of humor at the absurdity of his situations. The one woman Marv loves above all others is his mother. His mother, who is blind, has a nigh-supernatural sense of hearing, and can hear Marv tip-toeing around the house, even when he is completely silent. She dotes on her only son, keeping his room exactly as he left it when he moved out, and shows concern for him when people come looking for him.

Leonie gives Summers more information about the man he is to assassinate, Marcel Lafitte. However, after observing and then unexpectedly meeting Lafitte at a café, Summers begins to have second thoughts about his mission. Lafitte presents as gentle, polite, friendly and intelligent, has a wife and daughter whom he obviously loves, and also dotes on his cat "Mimieux", carefully protecting her from harm at a time when cats are being killed and eaten due to food shortages. At a subsequent meeting, with the curfew hour drawing near, Lafitte apparently saves Summers from being detained by German troops (who are hunting a Resistance assassin) by allowing Summers' to take shelter in Lafitte's office.

When it comes to Shirou she still displays jealousy towards other women when Shirou pays them attention over her and continues to pampers and dotes him. The stage is a small clinic in the suburbs, in a world in which humans with cat-and dog ears are commonplace. Jack, the protagonist and a dog-man, works as the assistant for Dr. Crane, the head doctor of a secluded animal clinic where various cat- girls are being treated. Jack has no memory of his life before coming to the clinic, and he works for Dr. Crane to repay her kindness after she took him in. However, as the only male in the clinic, a certain serious role was imposed: Jack is to have sexual intercourse with the patients to cure their regular symptoms caused by an illness called "DOTES".

The old man is wealthy, and owns three boxes which contain the stars, the moon, and the sun. Raven wants them for a variety of reasons (such as wanting to admire himself in the light or wanting light to find food easily), transforms himself into a hemlock needle and drops into the water cup belonging to the old man's daughter while she picks berries. She becomes pregnant with him, and gives birth; the old man dotes on his grandson.

When some of the recently murdered individuals come back from the dead and attack the living house guests, Garrett calls upon his good friend Morley Dotes for backup. As the focus of Garrett's investigation switches to solving the ongoing murders, he continues to be distracted by two elusive beauties seen around the house: one is the general's daughter Jennifer, but the other can only be seen by Garrett, who suspects that she may in fact be a ghost. While Garrett escapes multiple murder attempts on his own life, other members of the household are not so lucky, and the list of potential suspects grows shorter and shorter. Morley, meanwhile, suspects the general's illness is not a result of poison but possibly of the supernatural.

Her seventeen-year-old daughter Barbary Deniston (Helen left her first husband, an English barrister) and her fifteen-year-old step-son Raoul Michel have run wild, associating with the Maquis, helping a guerrilla band with schemes of sabotage and harassing the Germans. Helen also has a two-year-old son by Maurice Michel, whom Barbary dotes on, but mother and daughter have grown apart.

Paul Porterfield (Kevin Bishop) is an 18-year-old music student who is offered the chance to be the page turner for the acclaimed pianist Richard Kennington (Paul Rhys). Kennington, and his agent and lover Joseph Mansourian (Allan Corduner), is instantly attracted to Paul's youth and attractiveness, but Kennington's attempts to get to know Paul better are thwarted by Paul's possessive, neurotic mother, Pamela (Juliet Stevenson) who is initially unaware of the attraction. She dotes on her son but is faced with the revelation that her husband is cheating on her and the exasperation of her son, who feels suffocated by her love. Paul is keen to escape his mother and meets Kennington in a hotel; After talking Kennington offers Paul a massage which leads on to other things.

Bette dotes on Wenceslas, giving him money, attention, and guidance. Under Bette's controlling eye, the lackadaisical young artist grows more successful and productive.

Lestat thinks that Pandora was troubled in some deep, fundamental way even before she became a vampire, because she's the only vampire who doesn't receive visions of Maharet and Mekare in her dreams. During the confrontation in Sonoma, when Akasha directly asks Pandora to join with her or die, Pandora merely responds in a quiet, indifferent voice that she can't do what Akasha is asking of her, and stoically accepts the idea of being killed. Even after Akasha herself is destroyed and the thirteen vampires regroup in Armand's Night Island in Florida, Pandora still acts withdrawn from her fellow vampire kin, watching music videos all day long and completely ignoring Marius, who dotes on her lovingly. There is no sense of recovery or security in her as there is with the other vampires, and she departs from Night Island alone, still just as morose as ever.

The daughter, named Henrietta, is extremely precocious, speaking in complete sentences by the time she first meets her father at the age of ten months. Margaret dotes on her and thinks she is wonderful, though there are hints of something disturbing about the girl, including the story's title (referring to the phrase "a face that only a mother could love"), and an offhand comment that the nurses in the hospital were not sure whether the child was a boy or a girl. When Hank returns home, he discovers that his daughter has no arms or legs, and that his wife is in such strong denial that she does not realize she has given birth to a mutant.

The film opens with Michael Landon Jr. as a child (Shawn Pyfrom) living a comfortable and happy life with his family; his father, Bonanza star Michael Landon (John Schneider), his mother, Lynn Noe Landon (Cheryl Ladd), and his elder sister, Leslie Landon (Rachel Duncan). Michael Sr. is a compassionate and loving father who dotes on his children and, when Lynn announces a new baby is on the way, the family moves to a larger house in the San Fernando Valley. As the family grows and life begins to change, Michael Sr. becomes dissatisfied with his career and home life and his desire to fulfil his own needs begins to take precedence over those of his wife and children. Soon, a now teenage Michael Jr. (Trever O'Brien) and the rest of the Landon family learn that Michael Sr. has begun an extra-marital romance with Little House on the Prairie make-up artist, Cindy (Julie Condra), prompting Michael Sr. to eventually divorce Lynn and marry the younger woman.

Quentin "Fifty Dollah" Waise (Master P) is involved in a crime ring that earns him good money but worries his grandmother Odetta (Marla Gibbs), who dotes on him and encourages him to follow a more righteous path. Fifty Dollah's brother Miles "Foolish" Waise (Eddie Griffin), who got his nickname from Odetta, is an aspiring comedian, but his inability to get his career going convinces his older sibling he's wasting his talents. The movie pays homage to several of Griffin's idols, such as Redd Foxx, Robin Harris and Sammy Davis, Jr. who appear as feet under restroom stalls while he prepares to perform. His idols inspire Foolish to do well in his shows, which are widely attended and scheduled last to keep the bar customers drinking, but he has home trouble with his girlfriend and their son, and after the death of his grandmother, seems unable either to keep a gig or to move on.

It is eventually confirmed on separate occasions when the White Kämpfer swear loyalty to her and when, without possessing any bracelet so characteristic of the Kämpfer, she wields both a katana and a Beretta 93R against the Red and Blue Kämpfer coalition. :Later, it is also implied that she knew from the very beginning that there were not two Natsurus, but just one who switches sex (she personally reveals it in the anime whereas in the novel it is her White Kämpfer who would do so) and that she was merely feigning ignorance at the start, although her obsession with his female form turned out to be real, even while knowing his true nature. Kaede is shown to be strongly into female-female romance, where she is implied to be having erotic relationships with her White Kämpfer, and she even stated that she hates men and thinks they are useless. Kaede's extensive collection of Entrails Animals is shown to be the source of the Entrails Animal messengers that turn people into Kämpfer, that she dotes on her collection, to the point of calling them "her children" and her favorite is the prototype, Burnt Alive Lion.
