Kim Jung-mi was born in Incheon. In 1987 during her 20s, she established herself in a poor neighbourhood of Manseok-dong, Dong District, Incheon with the opening of Gichatgilyeop gongbubang (기찻길옆 공부방 The Study Room by the Railroads). One morning, Lü greeted Dong at the palace gate with a dozen trusted men led by Cavalry Captain Li Su. Li stepped forward and stabbed Dong. The Branch Wall-fortress in Busanjin (; also known as Maruyama Castle(丸山城, まるやまじょう), Konishi Castle(少西城)) is located at Beomil-dong, Dong-gu, Busan Metropolitan City, the Republic of Korea.The existing wall-fortress remains were constructed by the Japanese military during the Japanese invasion of Korea (1592–1598). Upon returning to Chengdu, Li pointed out that Dong was showing signs that he may preemptively attack Xichuan, and that Meng should prepare for such an attack. When Dong eventually did attack Xichuan and almost reached Chengdu on his attack but was then defeated by the Xichuan general Zhao Tingyin, Meng had Li draft a declaration to the people of Dongchuan, trying to get them to turn against Dong. Dong was subsequently killed in a mutiny by his own officers, and Meng took over Dongchuan. Upon the fall of Dongchuan, both Zhao and another senior Xichuan general, Li Renhan, wanted to be the military governor of Dongchuan, and their rivalry was threatening to destroy the cohesion of the Xichuan army.

In particular, Seomyeon Medical Street, which first started construction in the Bujeon-dong area beginning in 1990, has formed a cluster of more than 230 medical institutions, full of expertise, that is difficult to find in other parts of the world. The “Seomyeon Medical Street Festival” has taken place annually since 2012.
