The purpose of the Act was to remove the disqualifications for clergy in standing for election as Members of Parliament and sitting in the House of Commons. Purebred breeders are dog breeders that intentionally breed purebred dogs specifically to continue the lineage of certain breed characteristics in dogs by mating selected canines. A purebred dog has the characteristics of the breed to which it belongs, is an offspring of two purebred parents and should be eligible for registry in the purebred association of that breed should it not have any disqualifications such as undesirable color markings. The first match was a Belfast Brawl between Finlay and John "Bradshaw" Layfield (JBL), a match in which there were no disqualifications or countouts and the match outcomes could have occurred anywhere. Finlay was accompanied to the ring by his storyline son, Hornswoggle, who was returning from a scripted injury suffered at the hands of JBL. Angelika Dünhaupt (born 22 December 1946) is a German luger who competed representing West Germany during the late 1960s and early 1970s. At the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, she originally finished sixth in the women's singles event, but was awarded the bronze medal upon the disqualifications of the East German team of Ortrun Enderlein (who finished first), Anna-Maria Müller (second), and Angela Knösel (fourth) when the East Germans were discovered to have their runners being illegally heated. Dünhaupt also won the silver medal in the women's singles event at the 1967 FIL European Luge Championships in Königssee, West Germany.

The winner of the match is the last remaining participant after all others have been eliminated (or after all members of the opposing tag team are eliminated in either the tag team matches or the twelve-on-twelve tornado tag team elimination matches).

As opposed to the original promotion, match rules, such as count outs and disqualifications, were now standard. The Supreme Presidential Electoral Commission (SPEC) was expected to release the list of candidates who fulfil the legal requirements and are eligible for the presidency on 26 April. On June 13, Paul Heyman, former ECW owner and newly appointed figurehead for the ECW brand, recommissioned the ECW World Heavyweight Championship to be the brand's world title and awarded it to Rob Van Dam as a result of winning the WWE Championship at One Night Stand 2006. The brand would continue to operate until February 16, 2010. Under the WWE banner, ECW was presented following the same format of the other brands, with match rules, such as count outs and disqualifications, being standard. Michel Frédérick (6 November 1872 - 22 June 1912) was a Swiss professional road bicycle racer, who won the first stage of the 1904 Tour de France, and was leading the classification for one day, the second non-French person to do so after Charles Laeser in the 1903 Tour de France. Because the 1904 Tour de France was filled with many disqualifications because cyclists were accused of taking the train, his stage victory was not acknowledged until months after the race. He dropped to 14th position on the second stage, and did not appear on the starting line for the third stage. Frédérick was born in Zürich.

The most common example of a non-elimination match is the three-way match (known as a triple-threat match in WWE and a triangle match in WCW among other promotions), in which three wrestlers compete under standard rules with the first competitor to achieve a pinfall or submission being declared the winner. The 1905 Tour de France was the third edition of the Tour de France, held from 9 to 30 July, organised by the newspaper L'Auto. Following the disqualifications after the 1904 Tour de France, there were changes in the rules, the most important one being the general classification not made by time but by points. The race saw the introduction of mountains in the Tour de France, and René Pottier excelled in the first mountain, although he could not finish the race. Due in part to some of the rule changes, the 1905 Tour de France had less cheating and sabotage than in previous years, though they were not completely eliminated.

At the Elimination Chamber event, Michaels snuck into Undertaker's Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Championship and performed a Sweet Chin Music on The Undertaker, enabling Chris Jericho to defeat The Undertaker and win the World Heavyweight Championship. On the following night, The Undertaker changed his mind and accepted the rematch but with the stipulation that if Michaels loses, he would have to retire. Michaels accepted, noting that if he could not end the streak, there was no reason why his career should continue. In the NBA, a technical foul (which does not count towards suspension or ejection) is also assessed for re-entering a game after fouling out of a game in emergency situations listed in Rule 3, Section I when a team is reduced to five players. Once that occurs, a technical foul is charged if a player remains in the game after his sixth or subsequent foul, or as the last player to foul out, re-enters the game in case of injury to an eligible player that must be removed.

On June 28, 2011, the Election Commission announced the preliminary results of the local government elections. It reported a voter turnout of 56%, electing 1,104 representatives at various levels from among 2,185 candidates. The initial report disclosed "a few" cases of mismatched voter rolls and voter identification cards, and stated that in 135 of these cases, the problems were rectified. It also mentioned that some votes had been improperly cast in voters' former domiciles and were rejected. The main event was a Tag Team match pitting the team of Jeff Jarrett and Rhino against the team of Raven and Sabu. An added stipulation to this bout was if Jarrett pinned Raven he would earn a future NWA World Heavyweight Championship match, however, if Raven pinned Jarrett then he would not garner one for an entire year. Despite this match being under standard tag team rules in which there are disqualifications and count outs, the participants used weapons and fought outside the ring for an extended period. In the beginning, Raven used a pizza cutter to cut open Jarrett's forehead, causing him to bleed.

The first Olympic athlete to test positive for the use of performance-enhancing drugs was Hans-Gunnar Liljenwall, a Swedish pentathlete at the 1968 Summer Olympics, who lost his bronze medal for alcohol use. One of the most publicised doping- related disqualifications occurred after the 1988 Summer Olympics where Canadian sprinter, Ben Johnson (who won the 100-metre dash) tested positive for stanozolol. In the 2016 Legislative Council election the League formed an electoral alliance with the People Power movement to boost the chance of their candidates, after witnessing the rise of localism in Hong Kong. Gelman volunteered in October 1941 for the newly formed Aviation Group No.122, which consisted of the three women's aviation regiments of Soviet Air Forces founded by Marina Raskova after repeated disqualifications of her attempt to volunteer as a result of her short stature. Following training at Engels Military Aviation School, she became a navigator in 1942 in the all-female 588th Night Bomber Regiment, later redesignated as the 46th Taman Guards. Gelman had completed 860 missions and attained the rank of senior lieutenant by the time of Nazi Germany's capitulation to the Allies. She was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union in 1946.

The seventh match of the event was a Tag Team Elimination Tables match between Team 3D (Brother Devon and Brother Ray) and America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm; AMW). Christina Schmuck (sometimes listed as Christa Schmuck, born 26 January 1944 in Salzberg) is a West German luger who competed during the late 1960s and early 1970s. At the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, she originally finished fifth in the women's singles event, but was awarded the silver medal upon the disqualifications of the East German team of Ortrun Enderlein (who finished first), Anna-Maria Müller (second), and Angela Knösel (fourth) when the East Germans were discovered to have their runners being illegally heated. Schmuck also won two medals in the women's singles event at the FIL World Luge Championships with a silver in 1970 and a bronze in 1969. Both championships took place in Königssee, West Germany.

The Government introduced legislation that would tighten the rules around the behaviours of unions and their officials. The legislation, named the Ensuring Integrity Bill, would allow automatic disqualifications of "registered organisations" and grant the Federal Court the power to prevent officials from holding office in certain circumstances and broaden the court's power to order remedial action with respect to union disputes and governance. Trade union groups, Labor and the Greens opposed the bill, saying it was "contrary to international law and Australia’s commitments" and "hostile to the interests of working people". Industry groups and the Business Council of Australia argued the bill would "raise standards of conduct in the system" and would enforce penalties against "recalcitrant organisations".

The Battle of the Hockey Enforcers (also known as Hockey Enforcers: Black & Blue) was a sporting event held at the CN Centre in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, on August 27, 2005. The event consisted of ice hockey enforcers (mostly from minor and senior men's leagues) fighting on the ice in full hockey gear, as sometimes seen in regular games. Like in the National Hockey League, no fighting on the ground was allowed, and the referees separated the fighters if the fight turned too one-sided. For player safety concerns, officials also temporarily stopped fights if helmets or gloves were accidentally removed, with disqualifications in effect if they were removed on purpose.

François Beaugendre was an early twentieth century French road racing cyclist who participated in the 1903 Tour de France (the first Tour) and finished ninth overall. Beaugendre also rode the first four stages of the 1904 Tour de France, where he finished 7th, 11th, 3rd and 3rd, and did not start the fifth stage. Months after this Tour finished, many cyclists were disqualified, and Beaugendre's results were upgraded to 3rd, 6th, 2nd and 1st; Beaugendre was therefore declared winner of the fourth stage, and following the disqualifications he had been leader at the moment he left the race. Beaugendre rode the Tour a few more times, his best result was the fifth place in the 1907 Tour de France.

The means limit for pensions was raised by about two-thirds, immigrants and their wives were allowed to receive pensions after living in Britain for ten years, and the imprisonment and "failure to work" disqualifications for receiving pensions were abolished. The Blind Persons Act 1920 reduced the pension age for blind people from 70 to 50. Old age pensions were nearly doubled (from £26 5s to £47 5s a year), efforts were made to help returning soldiers find employment, and the Whitley Councils of employees and employers set up.

A tricolor Smooth Collie Smooth Collies come in four colours: sable (Lassie's colour; can be light gold to deep mahogany); tricolour (black, with tan and white markings); and blue merle (silvery gray marbled with black, and tan markings), all marked with white areas on the chest, neck, feet/legs, and tail tip. An additional colour is white (these Collies are predominantly white, with heads and usually a body spot of sable, tri, or blue colour). The fourth colour is sable merle, which is a light stippled version of sable, sometimes (as with blue merle) accompanied by blue or merled (parti-coloured) eyes. After the summer break, Sette Câmara returned the famous and prestigious Spa circuit where he has had much success in the past and certainly would have wanted to keep that going. He also had all the motivation in the world after brilliant driver coaching during the break by successful open-wheeled racer and former GP2 driver Tom Dillmann. After qualifying 11th for the feature race in a session that was undertaken in heavy rain, Sette Câmara wasted no time in making his way up inside the top 10. At the age of 19, Wray competed internationally for the first time at the 1978 Commonwealth Games and achieved immediate success, earning the bronze medal in the Pentathlon with a score of 4211 points. She competed later in the year at the European Athletics Championships, finishing 15th in the Pentathlon, although later disqualifications to other competitors due to doping violations promoted her to 13th place. In 1979 Wray participated in the Summer Universiade and helped the British 4 × 100 m relay team achieve a silver medal, narrowly behind the Soviet Union team. In the final, 2012 champion, Abdelaati Iguider jumped out to an early lead, with the American pair of Ben Blankenship and Craig Engels immediately behind him. The entire field jogged through the first 400 at warm up pace, 1:15.84. Blankenship found himself in the lead, looking around as if, "where is everybody?" At 600 metres, in 1:52.48, finally 18 year old Samuel Tefera came forward, the pace quickened slightly. Hell in a Cell event in October 2017 Hell in a Cell is a professional wrestling cage-based match which originated in 1997 in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). It features a large cell structure, a five-sided cuboid made from open-weave steel mesh chain-link fencing which encloses the ring and ringside area. Unlike the steel cage match, only an in-ring pinfall or submission will ordinarily result in a win (although Triple H pinned Chris Jericho atop the cell to win the Hell in a Cell match at Judgment Day in May 2002) and there are no disqualifications. The original Cell was high and weighed over two tons, but has since been replaced by a more robust version of and five tons.

The Act was originally very short, having only five sections. The main provision was section three, which provided that electors in a federal election are naturally born British subjects over twenty-one years of age, male or female, married or single, who have lived in Australia for at least six months, and are on the electoral roll in any federal electoral division. Starts didn't turn into finishes, with engine failures, clutch and gearbox problems, and even a flat battery meaning that Modena's 11th place at the Hungarian Grand Prix would be the car's best result. At the end of the season in December the team entered an ER188 for Fabrizio Barbazza in the 1988 Formula One Indoor Trophy at the Bologna Motor show. Barbazza was knocked out in the first round by the Minardi of Luis Pérez-Sala.

Bird won the pole position by setting the fastest lap in qualifying and held the lead despite Techeetah's Jean-Éric Vergne clattering into his left-hand sidepod and spinning 180 degrees on the race's opening lap. António Félix da Costa of BMW Andretti passed Bird to move into first place on lap ten and pulled away to lead the following fourteen laps until a collision on lap 26 with his teammate Alexander Sims careened him into a barrier. That promoted d'Ambrosio into the lead, which he maintained through a safety car period; he held off Frijns on the final lap to win by 0.143 seconds. It was d'Ambrosio's third career victory and his first without having inherited the win through driver disqualifications.

Rimsky Yuen Kwok-keung (; born 17 June 1964) is a barrister who served as the third Secretary for Justice of Hong Kong from 2012 to 2018. He was the chairman of the Hong Kong Bar Association from 2007 to 2010, as well as a member of the Guangdong Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, prior to his appointment as Secretary for Justice. His time in office coincided with various political controversies in which he played a central role. They include: the 2014–15 electoral reform which triggered the Occupy Central movement, the Legislative Council oath-taking saga which resulted in the disqualifications of six legislators, the 2017 imprisonment of Hong Kong democracy activists, and the Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link project which is the subject of an ongoing judicial review challenge.

It was replaced by Grave Digger 12, well known as the "long wheelbase Digger", which was also the first Grave Digger with purple in the paint job. In 1993, Dennis Anderson and Grave Digger #7 were heavily featured on the TV series Monster Wars. Anderson led the beginning of the season until breakages and disqualifications; he finished 5th. That year, Anderson won the 2nd USHRA wreck of the year title after he won and rolled over in Lebanon Valley Speedway, racing UFO. There was footage inside the cab of Anderson uttering his famous catch-saying “Yea we turned er over, she’s over, that’s what the people want, that’s what they got, I got a torn up truck!” In late 1998, Anderson sold the Grave Digger team to Pace Motorsports (now Feld Entertainment).

In April 2016, McSwain had filed a lawsuit against the USDA, alleging violations of due process, and seeking a number of legal remedies including reversal of Honors' past disqualifications and injunctive relief. In May, federal district court judge Richard W. Story granted a preliminary injunction, noting that there was no appeals process for owners to contest disqualification, and the ruling prevented veterinary inspectors from disqualifying Honors from future competitions without having a hearing where a disqualification could be challenged. This ruling allowed Honors to be shown in 2016, and the McSwains's lawsuit against the USDA was still pending at the time of the Celebration. Because of the accusations of soring, the morning after the World Grand Championship, the Edwardses volunteered to have Honors biopsied to prove he was sound.

In this event, La Milicia won the IWA World Tag Team Championship from The Faces of Fear, who pursued revenge after being left belt-less despite defeating the champions. Clash of the Titans concluded when a group of masked wrestlers, known as "Ejercíto Negativo" and that was hinted to be working for Wilfredo Rivera and Alejandro Marrero, interrupted and began feuding with both promotions. Juan Rivera, who had remained uninvolved in the first events of the angle, sided with the IWA upon returning and assaulted EWO employees in the climax of Clash of the Titans. At Payback, the Ejercíto became more intrusive forcing disqualifications in several titular matches between IWA and EWO, as well as taking briefcases with contracts to challenge for the EWO Puerto Rico and IWA Caribbean titles.

In the mid-2011 the group Los Oficiales introduced a new member called Oficial Spartans, later shortened to just Oficial Spartan, who was played by Montés and was brought in to replace the injured Oficial AK-47. After a while Spartan and the original Oficiales had a falling out after Spartan cost their team a number of matches due to disqualifications and they kicked him out of the group. Spartan would return with back up in the form of Oficial Rayan, forming a group called Los Oficiales Elite to start a rival faction to Los Oficiales. Spartan and rival Oficial 911 were both part of the 2011 Castillo del Terror ("Castle of Terror") match, a steel cage match where all the contestants put their mask on the line.

After the first game Yartsev sent home one of the most experienced Russian midfielders, Alexander Mostovoi, after Mostovoi complained to the press that Yartsev is overworking players in training sessions, so they do not have any energy left for the games. Yartsev changed lineup extensively in every game, first because some key defenders were injured and he had to play the reserves and young players, and then because of disqualifications to Roman Sharonov and Sergei Ovchinnikov, who were sent off in the first two games. In their third and final game, Russia defeated Greece 2-1. In 2006, Ballan started his spring classics campaign as a highly rated contender, given his performances in 2005 and his success in the warm-up races in winning the Trofeo Laigueglia, a second place to Tom Boonen in the E3 Prijs Vlaanderen and third overall at the Tirreno–Adriatico. Ballan was a leading protagonist in the classics: he took fifth at the Tour of Flanders and followed this with third at Paris–Roubaix, following the disqualifications of Peter Van Petegem, Vladimir Gusev and Leif Hoste. Later in the season, Ballan further proved his talent with a second placing in stage 12 of the Tour de France and a third place overall in the Tour de Pologne. Iron man matches generally operate under the same rules as any other professional wrestling bout, but instead of the match having to be over before a time limit is up, the iron man match goes the full length of the allotted time, with each wrestler attempting to score as many falls in that time as possible. The wrestler who has the most decisions at the end of the match is then the winner. Some iron man matches have an interval between falls. In 2009 a match between John Cena and Randy Orton had a 30-second rest period after each fall, in part due to iron man matches being "anything goes" (only pinfalls and submissions counted as falls which can also be done outside the ring, but not count outs or disqualifications).

The Mariners finished the 2004-05 season with a 17-4-1 record and were Shore Conference Champions but were ineligible for state playoffs due to receiving three disqualifications (game ejections) in regular season play. In the 2005-06 season, Kevin Raylman took over as head coach of the program, while the team was in a very competitive, predominantly private school division, they were able to compile a 19-8-2 record. In the state tournament, the Mariners received the #3 rank in public schools and were able to make it to the semi-finals, where they lost to eventual state champions Randolph High School, 3-1.

Most of the original UWF roster left New Japan yet again in 1988 to reform the UWF as the Newborn UWF. After Akira Maeda was suspended without pay for intentionally shooting on Riki Choshu and eventually dismissed from New Japan for refusing to go on an overseas excursion to Mexico, Takada, Yamazaki, Yoji Anjo, and rookie Tatsuo Nakano agreed to leave the promotion in February 1988. Newborn UWF actually started in March, with a superb card that set the standard for shoot-style wrestling to follow. Because clean finishes (as in, submissions or knockouts in the middle of the ring) were used, so the fans could see clear-cut winners and losers, it was more accepted as "real fighting" than New Japan or All Japan, which at the time were still using the American-originated standard of countouts and disqualifications.

For monitoring reasons, races are held on a looped course or on a track so judges get to see competitors several times during a race. A judge could also "caution" a competitor that he or she is in danger of losing form by showing a paddle that indicates either losing contact or bent knees. No judge may submit more than one card for each walker and the chief judge may not submit any cards; it is his or her job only to disqualify the offending walker. Disqualifications are routine at the elite level, such as the famous case of Jane Saville, disqualified within sight of a gold medal in front of her home crowd in the 2000 Summer Olympics, or Yet Lyu, disqualified 20 meters before the finish line at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics.

The 2018 Kowloon West by-election was held on 25 November 2018 after the incumbent pro-democracy Legislative Councillor Lau Siu-lai of Kowloon West was disqualified from the Legislative Council of Hong Kong (LegCo) after the oath- taking controversy resulted in the disqualifications of the six pro-democracy and localist legislators. It followed the by-election of four other vacated seats on 11 March 2018. Chan Hoi-yan, a nonpartisan backed by the pro-Beijing camp won over veteran democrat Lee Cheuk-yan of the Labour Party, a backup candidate for the pro-democracy camp after Lau's candidacy was disqualified. The pro-democrats suffered another defeat in eight months after Yiu Chung-yim narrowly lost to Vincent Cheng of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) in the same constituency in the March by- election.

Matches can be won by pinning the opponent to the mat for the count of three, making him submit, knocking him out of the ring for a predetermined count (generally twenty) or by disqualification. Using the ropes for leverage is illegal, and once a luchador is on the ropes, his opponent must release any holds and he will not be able to pin him. Disqualifications occur when an opponent uses an illegal hold, move (such as the piledriver, which is an illegal move in lucha libre and grounds for immediate disqualification, though some variations are legal in certain promotions), or weapon, hits his opponent in the groin (faul), uses outside interference, attacks the referee, or rips his opponent's mask completely off.

Seeking to prevent a sweep, La Salle managed to keep away UE in their last elimination round game but UE mounted a furious comeback to force the game into overtime - La Salle actually had the opportunity to win the game but Rico Maierhoffer tapped the ball last when he stood unmolested under the basket. Clutch freethrows from Mark Borboran and disqualifications of La Salle's Maierhoffer and JV Casio due to fouling out kept La Salle from coming back and resulted to the first sweep of the men's tournament since 1993, when UST did it.

Specifically, the 1872 Act removed office-holding disqualifications against most of the secessionists who rebelled in the American Civil War, except for "Senators and Representatives of the thirty-sixth and thirty-seventh Congresses, officers in the judicial, military, and naval service of the United States, heads of departments, and foreign ministers of the United States." In the spirit of the act, then United States President Ulysses S. Grant, by proclamation dated June 1, 1872, directed all district attorneys having charge of proceedings and prosecutions against those who had been disqualified by the Fourteenth Amendment to dismiss and discontinue them, except as to persons who fall within the exceptions named in the act. President Grant also pardoned all but 500 former top Confederate leaders. The 1872 Act affected over 150,000 former Confederate troops who had taken part in the American Civil War.

Falk's car after the 2013 Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown Falk made his debut in NASCAR's national touring series in 2010, competing in the Camping World Truck Series for two events. Driving for Rick Ware Racing, he made his debut at Martinsville Speedway; starting 30th, he finished 25th. In his second race in the series at Phoenix International Raceway, Falk started 26th and finished 28th. In 2012, in addition to seeking a fourth consecutive Langley Speedway championship, an effort derailed by a pair of disqualifications over the course of the season, Falk sought to break into more regular NASCAR touring competition; when his uncle purchased the former Richard Childress Racing No. 33 Sprint Cup Series team, he stated that Falk would likely be among the drivers to compete in the car at some point during the 2012 season.

Italy competed at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics, held from August 15 to August 23. On August 3, the Italian national athletics federation (FIDAL) revealed the final team composed of 40 athletes (24 men and 16 women), but on 8 August, after a last test competition in Grosseto, Andrew Howe, in accordance with FIDAL, decided not to compete in Berlin. Just before publishing the team, Faloci, a discus thrower, also decided not to compete. Italy did not win a single medal in the championships, the first time ever in the history of the World Athletics Championships that Italy have failed to win a medal, the first time since Melbourne 1956 in any major championships (World, Olympics or European), but the medals of some of the athletics world championship races in 2009 were otherwise awarded 24 March 2016 as a result of doping disqualifications.

A No Disqualification match, also known as a no holds barred match, or sometimes as an "anything goes" match, "boot camp" match, "Raven's rules" match, or "extreme rules" match, is a match in which neither wrestler can be disqualified, allowing for weapons and outside interference. The key differences between a no holds barred match and a standard hardcore match are that in a no holds barred match, falls must be made in the ring and there is less emphasis on the use of weapons whereas in a hardcore match, not only are there no disqualifications, falls can happen anywhere. No-disqualification matches may be used in feuds in which a challenger may have won matches against the champion, but did not claim the championship because the champion was disqualified (championships usually only change hands via pinfall or submission). Unless stipulated, a no-disqualification match can end in a countout.

Bill Goldberg's winning streak helped WCW's ratings during 1998 Hoping to counter the McMahon/Austin feud, WCW divided the nWo into the Hollywood Hogan-led heel "nWo Hollywood" faction and the Kevin Nash-led face "nWo Wolfpac" faction. Although the Wolfpack proved popular with fans, the overall nWo storyline began to grow stale: As with the culmination of the Sting/Hogan match, fans grew tired of the lack of any kind of resolution, as many matches between the groups simply ended in disqualifications when other members jumped into the ring to interfere, leading to all-out brawls. Ted Turner decided to expand the brand by introducing a second weekly program WCW Thunder, on his TBS channel. The introduction of Thunder troubled Eric Bischoff, who warned Turner that a second weekly program could potentially result in fan burnout, as viewing both programs would require five hours of viewing time a week.

In January 2018, it was reported that all leading Russian athletes avoided meeting doping officers and passing anti-doping tests in a track and field competition in Irkutsk. During the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in February 2018, two Russian athletes from the Olympic Athletes from Russia (OAR) delegation failed doping tests and were disqualified: curler Aleksandr Krushelnitckii who won a bronze medal in the mixed doubles event; and bobsleigh pilot Nadezhda Sergeeva who finished twelfth in the two-woman event. The IOC expressed their disappointment at the positive doping tests and stated that the OAR team would consequently not be allowed to parade under the Russian flag at the closing ceremony. Despite the two disqualifications, the IOC announced on 28 February that it had chosen to reinstate Russia's Olympic membership, just days after the end of the Winter Games, as no more cases of doping had been found in the delegation.

The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2001 took place February 15–25, 2001 in Lahti, Finland for a record sixth time, previous events being held in 1926, 1938, 1958, 1978 and 1989. These championships also saw the most event changes since the 1950s with the 5 km women and 10 km men's events being discontinued, the 10 km women and 15 km men's events return to their normal status for the first time since the 1991 championships, the debut of a combined pursuit as a separate category (5 km + 5 km for women, 10 km + 10 km for men), the addition of the individual sprint race for both genders, and the debut of the ski jumping team normal hill event. Extremely cold weather () cancelled the women's 30 km event. The biggest controversy occurred when a doping scandal hit the host nation of Finland, resulting in six disqualifications.

The Head of the River races have weathered such difficulties as flooded rivers, disputes over ages, dead heats, disqualifications, and even the inability of a school to round up enough rowers to boat a crew. Before World War 2, only the first crew of each school took part in the Head of the River Regatta, but there was a race for second crews and sometimes third crews raced on the Saturday prior to the Head of the River race. In the early part of the 20th century the race was held in October, but later it was moved to May and after World War 2 to April. When the race was held in October, it was possible for a boy to represent his school in football, cricket, rowing, and athletics in the one year, as the latter was held in May after the cricket season had ended.

In his first term, Daudt proposed major reforms to Minnesota's welfare system including crackdowns on out-of-state use of EBT cards, limits on monthly cash benefit withdrawals, and eligibility disqualifications for individuals who purchase alcohol or tobacco using an EBT card. The tobacco and alcohol provisions were signed into law as part of the 2011 Special Session Health and Human Services bill, and restrictions limiting EBT use to states surrounding Minnesota were passed and signed into law in 2012. In 2016 under Speaker Daudt, the legislature approved a bill that made Minnesota one of at least 12 other states to fully exempt military retirement benefits from state taxes. In 2017, Daudt and the Republican-led Minnesota Senate successfully negotiated the largest tax cut in two decades, including a $750 million cut over ten years for social security recipients, a $500 tax credit for student loan payments, tax cuts for tobacco products, and property tax relief for agriculture land.

On 18 October 2014, at Volume 67, Eagles, this time working as a face, returned after sustaining an arm injury and fought Nicole Matthews in a no countouts and no disqualifications match which ended in a draw. Later that night, at Volume 68, Eagles competed in a fatal four–way elimination match against Athena, Cheerleader Melissa and Nicole Matthews for the Shimmer Championship, which Mathews won with lastly eliminating Eagles, after a distraction provided by Matthews' tag team partner, Portia Perez, helped her hit Eagles with a fireball and win the title. The feud between the two continued on Volume 69, where Eagles attacked Matthews after her match with Evie. On 11 April 2015, at Volume 73, after a confrontion between Eagles and The Canadian NINJAs, Eagles defeated Perez in a number one contender's match, but went on to lose to Matthews in a title match on the next day at Volume 74.

In the weeks leading up to the announcement L.A. Park had wrestled against CMLL mainstay Rush on several occasions, normally ending in an inconclusive manner via disqualifications etc. L.A. Park had also been antagonistic of La Sombra, especially after La Sombra unmasked Park's nephew Volador Jr., leading to a family feud of sorts between the two. Both Park and Dr. Wagner Jr. made their in-ring return to CMLL on the August 28 Super Viernes show on opposite sides of the main event. Dr Wagner Jr. teamed with Los Ingobernables members Rush and La Sombra to face off against Atlantis, L.A. Park and Volador Jr. during the match Park and Rush primarily fought each other, La Sombra and Altlantis fought both inside and outside the ring and Dr. Wagner Jr. focused primarily on Volador Jr. Initially Los Ingobernales were a bit weary of Dr. Wagner Jr. but later started to work more with him.

She was selected to participate in 1964 Olympic Games in Innsbruck for East Germany, but defected to West Germany on 10 February 1964 before any race. The ZOV exhibition about East German sports refugees describes her escape: "As Eastern German sports functionaries had spread the wrong information that Austria extradited refugees to their home country, she didn't dare to contact the authorities for help. Gähler, hidden under a blanket, was smuggled to Bavaria in the car of a Western German colleague ..." Gähler soon found a job as secretary in Ulm and attended the sports center in Rottach-Egern to continue her training. At the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, she originally finished 11th in the women's singles event, but was awarded 8th place upon the disqualifications of the East German team of Ortrun Enderlein (who finished first), Anna-Maria Müller (second), and Angela Knösel (fourth) when the East Germans were discovered to have illegally heated their luge's runners.

Sweet Saraya's presence as referee harked back to her feud with Jetta in World Association of Women's Wrestling, a promotion under RQW, where Jetta won the WAWW British Championship from Saraya, ostensibly putting her out of action for over six months as a result (this was actually due to an injury during an RQW match with Cheerleader Melissa). Saraya made her return in December 2007, only to see Jetta reclaim the WAWW British Championship. Saraya instantly set her sights on the belt, losing on 24 February by disqualification and on 26 May after being hit by a foreign object from Britani Knight that was meant to help her. Jetta also won a tag match against Saraya and Knight, alongside Jade, thanks to interference from Knight's erstwhile partner Melodi, on 18 May; when Jetta tagged up with Melodi, Saraya and Knight earned the win on 26 May without any interference or disqualifications and Saraya earned a shot at the British Ladies Championship as a result.

The winner of the Eliminator goes through to the next round (or wins the series) unless a qualifying time is needed for the next round. Shows are usually presented by a male and female host (with the exception of all but two seasons of the original American Gladiators, which were presented by two male hosts), as well as a main referee (often wearing a striped black and white shirt, in the style of an American football referee) presiding over events, handing out disqualifications or red and yellow cards to contenders or Gladiators if needed. A timekeeper is often present behind the referee but these are not always referred to or provide a speaking role. An unseen commentator will provide play by play accounts (again with the exception of the original American Gladiators series, where the on- screen hosts also provided the play by play) The show is filmed in front of a live studio audience made up of fans and supporters of the contenders.

Following several disqualifications under sub-section 44(i) during 2017, on 28 November 2017 Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull asked the Commonwealth Parliament's Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters to conduct a new inquiry into the section, including the possibility of amendment. Public hearings will begin on 8 December and submissions will close on 9 February 2018; the Committee is to report on s 44(i) by 23 March 2018 and on the other sub-sections, particularly 44(iv) and 44(v), by 30 June.

Peralta went on to win nine of his next ten fights, including a rematch victory over Mauro Mina, outpointed in ten rounds at Buenos Aires on September 19 of '64, before defending his Argentine Heavyweight title for the first time, and losing it, to Oscar Bonavena by a twelve-round decision on September 4, 1965 in Buenos Aires. They'd rematch four years later. Peralta then went undefeated over his next 32 bouts, building a record of twenty nine wins and three draws, with seventeen knockouts over that span. Among the highlights of those thirty two bouts were three ninth round disqualifications in a row (over Ron Marsh on March 11, 1968, and two over Felipe Pablo Marich, on April 5 and April 20 of that same year), a ten-round decision over Ramon Rocha on August 23, and a draw in a non-title rematch with Bonavena, held on August 8, 1969.

Following Randy Orton's retention of the WWE Championship against Batista at Judgment Day by getting himself intentionally disqualified, Ric Flair, an associate of Batista's, announced on the May 18 episode of Raw that, as ordered by the Raw General Manager, Vickie Guerrero, Orton would face Batista in a steel-cage match at Extreme Rules. This match stipulation would prevent both interference from outside parties and deliberate disqualifications. Also, on the May 18 episode of Raw, it was announced that The Big Show would have a rematch with his Judgment Day opponent, John Cena at Extreme Rules as well; this time, however, the match was to be a submission match, which a wrestler can only win by forcing an opponent to submit. On the SmackDown immediately following Judgment Day, SmackDown general manager, Theodore Long, felt that Edge's retention of the World Heavyweight Championship was questionable due to Matt Hardy's interference, so he declared that Jeff Hardy would have a rematch for the championship at Extreme Rules.

As Dreamer's contract with the company was set to expire one day before the show, it was announced that he had signed a one-day extension to give him a chance at winning the title; if Dreamer were to fail to win the title, he would no longer wrestle for ECW.

Hardcore wrestling is a subset of professional wrestling in which some or all of the traditional rules do not apply. Most often this simply means there are no-disqualifications, which itself eliminates countouts, sometimes allowing decisions to take place anywhere. Other common euphemisms for hardcore matches are "street fight" (which suggests wrestlers are to dress in normal street clothes), "extreme rules" match, "ultraviolent rules" match (hardcore rules matches exclusively in CZW that usually involve ladders, tables, steel folding chairs, thumbtacks, barbed wire, weed whackers, light tubes, and fire), HardKore X-Treme match (A version of the hardcore match except weapons include flaming tables, flaming chairs, razor wire, sheets of glass and weapons wrapped in barbed wire), no holds barred match, and the "good housekeeping" match (which emphasized the use of kitchen implements as weapons). Some promotions, such as Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling, the International Wrestling Association of Japan, International Wrestling Syndicate, Extreme Championship Wrestling, Big Japan Pro Wrestling, and Combat Zone Wrestling, have specialized in hardcore matches, with "standard" non-hardcore matches being the exception.

In the summer of 2011 the group Los Oficiales introduced a new member called Oficial Spartan, replacing Oficial AK-47, who was unable to wrestle due to an arm injury, in his first match to team up with Oficial 911 and Oficial Fierro. in the following weeks Oficial Spartan was shown to not just be a temporary replacement for Oficial AK-47, but an expansion of the team as he teamed with all three original members at various times even after AK-47 returned to the ring. After a while Spartan and the original Oficiales had a falling out after Spartan cost their team a number of matches due to disqualifications and they kicked him out of the group. Spartan would return with back up in the form of Oficial Rayan, forming a group called Los Oficiales Elite to start a rival faction to Los Oficiales. Spartan and rival Oficial 911 were both part of the 2011 Castillo del Terror ("Castle of Terror") match, a steel cage match where all the contestants put their mask on the line.

The actions sparked a political storm and a round of international condemnation. The disqualifications were declared as based on either the candidates having advocated or promoted Hong Kong independence, self- determination as an option for self-determination; solicited intervention by foreign governments into Hong Kong's affairs; expressed "an objection in principle" to the legislation of the national security law; expressed an intention to exercise the functions of a LegCo member by indiscriminately voting down all government legislative proposals, appointments, funding applications and budgets, after securing a majority in the LegCo, in order to force the government to accede to certain political demands; or refused to recognise the People's Republic of China's sovereignty over the Hong Kong. The last two days of the nomination period saw an influx of pro-democracy candidates submitting their nominations, in light of the 12 candidates being disqualified and many others' nominations still under review by the returning officers. It was widely speculated that many of these nominees were backup options for the disqualified or potentially disqualified candidates.

Each senator must be at least 18 years old, a citizen, a registered voter, and have "paid all taxes or made arrangements satisfactory to the Commissioner of Taxes". Disqualifications are: being insolvent under any law without having been "rehabilitated", being of unsound mind, sentenced to death or more than six months in prison for a crime in Eswatini, a member of the country's armed forces or holding or acting in a public office without being granted a leave of absence to serve in the Senate, unqualified to be a voter, otherwise disqualified by law, found incompetent to hold public office, connected to a firm with a government contract and having not made the proper disclosures regarding the contract, or holding or acting in any office connected with the conduct of any election or the compilation or revision of any electoral register. In July 2005, a new constitution was approved by the Parliament and signed by King Mswati III. The first election under the new constitution took place in September 2008.

It was during her Chikara debut in a tag team match, where she and Amazing Kong were defeated by Bruderschaft des Kreuzes (Haze and Del Rey). Anderson at an NCW Femmes Fatales show in October 2013 On July 3, Anderson appeared as Alissa Flash for the Texas-based promotion River City Wrestling (RCW). At Declaration of Champions, she wrestled RCW Champion Joey Spector in the main event to become the first female champion of the company. The result was however nullified on July 12, after RCW Commissioner Jeromy Sage announced that the contract for the title match stipulated that the length was supposed to be 15 minutes, but the match was 15 and a half minutes long. A rematch was scheduled on August 7 with no time limits or disqualifications, Flash won the match and the championship. On 5 May, Flash teamed with Darci Drake to defeat San Antonio's Most Wanted in a lumberjack match to win the RCW Tag Team Championship. They would hold the title for four months, before being defeated by Gulf Coast Connection (AJ Summers and Rudy Russo) on September 3.
