"Mustapha" was released as a single in Germany, Spain, Yugoslavia and Bolivia in 1979. The B side of the single was "Dead On Time" for German and Spanish releases and "In Only Seven Days" for Yugoslavian and Bolivian releases. Also, all four versions had different covers.

Chaffey resumed his directing career with the family film Skid Kids (1953). He made the short Watch Out (1953), then did Strange Stories (1953), Bouncer Breaks Up (1953, a short), The Mask (1952), and A Good Pull Up (1953). Chaffey directed Time Is My Enemy (1954). After the short Dead on Time (1955) he made The Secret Tent (1956), The Flesh Is Weak (1957) and The Girl in the Picture (1957).

Hobbs was born in Australia in 1952. She spent many years in the United Kingdom, during which time she directed the documentary film Steppin' Out (1979) featuring the UK act Secret Affair, and hosting Hobb's Choice television show, before moving to Hollywood in the United States. In 1983, she directed a short film, Dead on Time. In 1987, she directed her first full- length feature film, Back to the Beach starring Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello.

Other TV work includes Doctor Who story The Leisure Hive (1980); Blake's 7 episode "Rumours of Death" (1980); Campion story Sweet Danger (1990); Inspector Morse episode "Dead on Time" (1992); and Cracker. In the 1990s he appeared in series 1 of the TV series Soldier Soldier. He appears in the Richard Fell adaptation of the 1960s science fiction series A for Andromeda, on the UK digital television station BBC Four. Haig wrote the play My Boy Jack and later appeared in the television adaptation as Rudyard Kipling, with Daniel Radcliffe playing Kipling's son, John.

James Larkin (born 17 March 1963, in Surrey) is an English actor, most notable for his portrayal of the character Dylan in EastEnders, Inspector Lapointe in Granada's Maigret (1992 TV series) and Tony Blair in the 2005 The Government Inspector. He has also written Int. Bedsit - Day (2007) and Dead on Time (1999, for which he gained a nomination for First Prize for Short Films at the 1999 Montréal World Film Festival) and worked as a director, especially on 18 episodes of Doctors during 2008. In 2011, he returned to the soap playing villain Harrison Kellor.

In 1997 he moved to Vamos, Crete, Greece which meant forgoing any acting or directing but he kept writing, starting with his autobiography No Official Umbrella, two novels, Angel and The Journeys We Make, a Gothic horror The Museum Mysteries & Other Short Stories, and 5 books in his comedy / thriller series featuring a quirky private eye, Thornton King, and his sidekick, Miss Holly Day. "Dead On Time", "Just In Case", "Dead On Target", "The Cinelli Vases" and "Celluloid and Tinsel". When Glyn died the last in the Thornton King series was with the editors and is to be published posthumously. All the foregoing novels are published by DCG Media Group.

This is even more apparent in the original novel in which Morse is shown to have acted to prevent a potential embarrassment for Strange. The "matey" form of address is explained in the prequel as a common form of address by Strange for all his acquaintances. Chief Superintendent Strange also shows a clear respect for and of Sergeant Lewis, Morse's loyal assistant, sometimes consulting him directly, and occasionally even (as in Dead on time) approving his ideas without reference to Morse. Ultimately Strange gives Lewis strong encouragement to seek promotion to Detective Inspector, as indeed he had encouraged him earlier in the series to apply for a vacant Inspector's position in the Oxford traffic police.

Lacan's variable-length sessions lasted anywhere from a few minutes (or even, if deemed appropriate by the analyst, a few seconds) to several hours.

Atkinson reprised his Robert Box character in 1982 (now named "Bernard Fripp") for a theatrical comedy featurette called Dead on Time, which in turn reused the gag of the main character tripping over a "Help the Blind" sign. The Mr. Bean episode The Trouble with Mr. Bean (1991) partially reused the electric shaver gag (with Bean's nose hairs getting stuck on the shaver, whereas Robert shaved his whole face (except his eyebrows and tongue). Robert Box's "no coffee mug" routine later appeared in the 1992 series Funny Business, in which Atkinson played a silent comedy character called Kevin Bartholomew. The same gag would later be used again in Bean, the 1997 Mr. Bean feature film.
