In January 1993, at the same time when EffJohn decided to merge Wasa Line's operations into Silja Line, Wasa King was sold to Nordström & Thulin for use on Estline's Tallinn–Stockholm traffic under the name Estonia. The actual ownership of the ship was rather complex, in order for Nordström & Thulin to get a loan to buy the ship. Although Nordström & Thulin were the company who bought the ship, her registered owners were Estline Marine Co Ltd, Nicosia, Cyprus, who chartered the ship to E.Liini A/S, Tallinn, Estonia (daughter company of Nordström & Thulin and ESCO) who in turn chartered the ship to Estline AB. As a result, the ship was actually registered in both Cyprus and Estonia.

In 1959 Aksel Kyed and Kjeld W. Jensen started the company "Kyed and Werner Jensen", which at that time were involved in two different projects, district heating and the fabrication of hydraulic digging equipment. In 1960 the company was split, and Kjeld W. Jensen started Hydrema. Back then the headquarters were placed in Aalborg. In 1962 the company moved to Støvring. At that time Hydrema had 15 workers and an area of 320 m². In 1971 a daughter company was established in Norway, followed by Sweden in 1979, the former West Germany in 1981, England in 1985 and France in 1988. There are many countries like the United States, Australia and Poland, that import machines from the Hydrema factories in Denmark and from 1997 Germany. In 1980 Hydrema started producing their own machines from the bottom.

In 1984, Schneider's Schneider Computer Division daughter company was created specifically for the task, and the complete Amstrad CPC line-up was branded and sold as Schneider CPC. On 6 December, GM announced that it would not continue its licenses to GM patents and technology to Saab if the company had been sold to Pang Da and Zhejiang Youngman, stating that the new owner's use of the technology is not in the best interest of GM investors. This was somewhat ironic since most of the patents in question were Saabs in origin but surrendered to GM's ownership back in 2000. Because of this, Saab started working on a new proposal which would not change the original ownership structure and would not include a Chinese partner as an owner of the company, but instead as a 50% owner of a new daughter company. On 19 December 2011 with no alternatives left after GM continued to block any form of involvement with a Chinese partner, Saab officially filed for bankruptcy after a three-year fight for survival.

The power-broking between Alfa group and Telenor in VimpelCom started 2004, when Alfa proposed that VimpelCom acquire a larger share in Ukrainian RadioSystems (URS), a small GSM operator in Ukraine operating under the brand «WellCom». Telenor found the price of US$132 million far too high, after the Russian telco Golden Telecom had declined acquiring URS at a far lower price.Telenor - Background on Russia and the Ukraine, 2009. In October 2004, a minor shareholder of VimpelCom lodged three lawsuits against Telenor in the provincial city of Krasnoyarsk in Siberia, with claims that the VimpelCom shareholder agreement be cancelled, and the URS shares be acquired. In May 2005, the Alfa Group filed a lawsuit against Telenor, via Alfa's daughter company Eco Telecom Ltd, contesting the declination of Telenor's three VimpelCom board members to approve the URS acquisition. Georgia’s transmission network operates at 500 kV, 400 kV, 330 kV, 220 kV, 110 kV, 35 kV, 10 kV, 6 kV voltages. Georgian grid is connected to power systems of neighboring countries through 500/400/330/220/110 kV transmission network: • 500 kV backbone transmission lines Kartli-1, Kartli-2, Imereti, Kavkasioni connect the power system of Georgia with Russia and other large generation grids located North-West of Georgia (including Engurhesi) passing through 500 kV substations Gardabani 500, Zestafoni 500 and Ksani 500; • Energotrans, the daughter company of GSE, has constructed 500 kV backbone transmission line Vardzia-Zekari-Meskheti, which connects the power system of Georgia with Turkey passing through 500 kV substations Gardabani 500, Zestafoni 500 and Akhaltsikhe 500 (Akhaltsikhe 500 line was also constructed by Energotrans); • 500 kV transmission line Georgia- Azerbaijan and 330 kV transmission line Gardabani-330 connects Georgia with the power system of Azerbaijan; • 220 kV transmission line Alaverdi connecting Georgia with Armenia. There is also rather extensive 220 kV grid connected to other generation sites. Georgian grid is connected with Russia, Armenia and Turkey through 220 kV lines.
