After awakening from cryosleep near LV-223, he introduces the purpose of the mission with Shaw. While the Prometheus flies over the moon, Holloway spots an artificial arrangement of structures and directs the ship to land near one. He goes with the first expedition crew to the concealed Juggernaut, discovers that the air is clearer than anywhere on Earth and removes his helmet.

Soon afterwards, the Alien Queen confronts the survivors on the Sulaco; Newt is her primary target, but Ripley intervenes and defeats her. Newt is then put into cryosleep, only to drown in the crash of the Sulaco in Alien 3 when her chamber floods. According to Aliens casting director, Newt was the most challenging role to cast; five hundred schoolchildren auditioned, often smiling when they read their lines.

Ankor is a part of the expedition to the surface of the Engineer home world, where they set off to investigate the intercepted signal at the crashed Engineer ship.

Following Hyoga's defeat and Tsukasa entering cryosleep, Senku was able to get the remnants of the Empire of Might to merge with the Kingdom of Science where he leads the Five Wise Generals. ; : :Senku's best friend, whom Senku refers to as a "big oaf" or "musclehead". He has incredible strength and seemingly limitless stamina, but is a pacifist who's never thrown a punch in his life. He is in love with Yuzuriha and will do anything to take care of her, especially when she's in danger.

Through he revived Gen to confirm Senku's death, Tsukasa remained in the dark of his opposition's survival until learning it from Hyoga. During the Communications arc, Tsukasa accepted a truce with Senku in exchange for the revival of his sister, after which Hyoga betrayed him. After Hyoga is defeated, the critical injuries Tsukasa suffered from the fight force him to be placed in cryosleep with his remaining forces absorbed into the Kingdom of Science. Though he does get to see Mirai get restored to good health beforehand.

Daniels (Katherine Waterston) is a terraforming expert serving aboard the colony ship Covenant. She awakens from cryosleep when the ship is damaged by a neutrino burst from a nearby star, resulting in the death of her husband and the captain of Covenant, Jacob Branson. When Shaw's transmission is traced back to the habitable Engineer home world, Daniels repeatedly states her discontentment with veering off course with the new captain, Christopher Oram. Daniels joins the expedition down to the surface of the planet, where she discovers Shaw's identification card.

However, encountering Steve will give her a best opportunity to escape. Eventually in Steve's ending, continued from his Tag 2 ending finally revealed that when she was put to cryosleep between Tekken 2 and 3, Mishima Zaibatsu attempted to use her genes to create child super soldiers that could fit the Devil Gene project for the organization army. Steve is one of the survivors thanks to the cover by the now late-Doctor Emma Kliesen. Nina stars in her own action game, Death by Degrees, released in 2005.

The prisoners put themselves through cryosleep to evade aging. In 2156, Shaw piloted the transport craft Gagarin and lands Diyoza with a party of prisoners in the Shallow Valley, which is apparently the only habitable place left after the radiation wave Praimfaya in the fourth-season finale. They act as antagonists in the fifth season and are eventually defeated, but the lives of those who surrendered are spared.

As they attempt to escape, Ripley and Hicks are cornered by a Xenomorph in an elevator, who's acid blood severely burns Hicks' face and begins to melt through his chest armor. Ripley and Hicks make it to the dropship, where Hicks is sedated by Bishop, and encourages Ripley to save Newt, revealing to her his first name and asking her to hurry back before he falls unconscious. Once Ripley returns with Newt and successfully defeats the Queen Xenomorph aboard the Sulaco, Hicks is placed in cryosleep for the return trip to Earth.

Halo Wars 2 takes place in the science fiction universe of the Halo series. The game is set in 2559, 28 years after the events of Halo Wars and shortly after the events of Halo 5: Guardians. Halo Wars closes with the crew of the human United Nations Space Command (UNSC) warship Spirit of Fire entering cryosleep and drifting in uncharted space. During the interim, the war between humanity and the alien alliance known as the Covenant has ended, and Spirit of Fire has been declared lost with all hands.

Walter One (Michael Fassbender) is an android and first member of the Walter line – made to replace the David line – serving aboard the colony ship Covenant. After Christopher Oram orders the ship to divert from Origae-6 for the closer and more habitable Engineer home world, Walter joins the expedition force that lands on the planet. In the ensuing Alien outbreak, he is attacked by a Neomorph, which bites off his hand.

The family's physician Dr. Zachary Smith, a Sedition spy, sabotages the ship's on-board robot before launch, but is betrayed by his cohorts and left unconscious as the ship launches and the family enters cryosleep. The robot activates and begins to destroy the navigation and guidance systems, en route to destroying the family. Smith awakens the Robinsons and West, who manage to subdue the robot, but the ship is falling uncontrollably into the sun. Forced to use the experimental hyperdrive with an unplotted course, the ship is transported through hyperspace to a remote planet in an uncharted part of the universe.

In the game Aliens: Colonial Marines, it is revealed that Hicks attempted to send a distress call before entering cryosleep, but the message was blocked by Weyland-Yutani and was never transmitted. Hicks was awoken from his hypersleep by colonists Samuel Stone and Turk due to an emergency seeking military aid. A firefight between the Weyland-Yutani corporation and the colonists ensued, which caused a bullet to graze the Facehugger attached to Ripley, causing the acid blood to start an electrical fire. In the scuffle, Turk was knocked into Hicks' open cryotube, and became the casualty witnessed in Alien 3, retconning Hicks' death.

In the sixth season, after 125 years in cryosleep, Clarke, Bellamy, and the others wake up to find out that they are no longer orbiting Earth and have been brought to a new habitable world, Alpha, also known as Sanctum. The last human awake, Daniels is being returned to cryosleep by David, who inadvertently reveals his identity by not being able to recount Daniels' fantasy about building a log cabin by a lake, which she had previously recounted to Walter.

Predominantly transpiring in the future, between the 21st and 24th centuries, humanity is shown to have become a space-faring race that has established an interstellar dominion. Space travel is lengthy (typically months or years) and necessitates the extensive use of cryosleep for most of any journey. Throughout the series, an ensemble of characters is repeatedly manipulated by and put in harm's way by the greedy, unscrupulous, megacorporation Weyland-Yutani Corp which seeks to capture the Aliens for bio-weaponization purposes.

As she needs money to fund the journey, she signs up with Kuiper Enterprises for a job on the decrepit cargo ship Kassandra, heading for an eight-year flight to unmanned Station #42 and back. The crew consists of five members: Captain Lacroix (Pierre Semmler), Lindbergh (Regula Grauwiller), Yoshida (Yangzom Brauen), Prokoff (Claude-Oliver Rudolph), and Vespucci (Michael Finger). Crew members spend most of the fully automated flight in deep cryosleep while one person stays awake in 8½ month shifts to monitor the ship. Due to the current terrorist threat from the radical Neo-Luddite group ' ("Machine Strikers"), there is also an additional security guard aboard: Samuel Decker (Martin Rapold).

Chrome later learns about the scientific wonders of the old world and become Senku's partner as he helps him rediscover humanity's scientific legacy. When the Kingdom of Science and the remnants of the Tsukasa Empire merge following the defeat of Hyoga and Tsukasa entering cryosleep, Chrome becomes one of the Five Wise Generals and a part of the Craftsmanship and Development Team. ; : : The strongest warrior of Ishigami Village and Ruri's younger sister, a tomboyish young woman who is exceptionally strong, agile, and sharp-eyed. She is the first villager Senku meets after awakening in the "Stone World" and becomes one of his staunchest allies as part of the Kingdom of Science's Power Team.

The cyborg's job is to take the book to a group of aliens and he spends good time studying it as he prepares for the journey. As he goes in cryosleep, an alien lady appears in the ship, and the priest's spirit awakens the cyborg, and he is able to stop the alien lady from defacing the book. A representative of the aliens whom the book is being delivered to calls, and tells how dangerous this lady is, and the cyborg is to kill her by depressurizing the ship - sacrificing himself in the process to save millions of lives. The priest's spirit notes too late that, as the cyborg is about to die, he has made the wrong choice again.

After disposing of the Alien chasing them, the crew members return to the Covenant and are put back into cryosleep by someone they believe to be their shipboard synthetic, Walter. Only when Daniels is put in her cryopod does she realize that Walter has been replaced by the identical David. With the crew, colonists, and embryos at his mercy, David contacts Weyland-Yutani back on Earth, stating that while the majority of the crew was killed in the neutrino blast, they would be continuing on towards Origae-6.

Two years later, she was contracted by a Mafia syndicate to kill a famous British boxer, Steve Fox. However, she discovered that Steve was in fact her biological son, who was born through In vitro fertilisation during her years in cryosleep. With her genes, Doctor Abel conducted a Hybrid Gene experiment creating children, including Steve, until the experiment was cancelled after most of children died during that experiment, except for Steve and one of the surviving children, whose statuses were covered by the former Zaibatsu, now G Corporation researcher, Emma Kliesen, (Leo's mother) from being watched by the Zaibatsu's eyes. At the last moment when she tried to pull the trigger to her rifle, she somehow and rarely regained her human emotions, and refused to kill Fox.

The backstory of the game begins in the year 2027, with the discovery of a neutron star on a collision course for Earth's Solar System. Human civilization had 498 years to develop a plan to leave Earth and find new planets to inhabit, and after centuries of research and development, several Arkships (extremely large and resilient space-faring vehicles) were built to carry millions of passengers in cryosleep to the farthest reaches of the Milky Way Galaxy. During the year 2510 the first Arkships began to flee the Earth heading towards different areas of the galaxy. As the Arkships traveled on their way to their final destinations, the neutron star discovered in the year 2027 destroyed Earth's solar system and all the planets within.

Set in the future, players control members of the Tenno, a race of ancient warriors who have awoken from a century-long cryosleep as they return from a stellar system known as the Tau system after being driven back centuries ago in an ancient war. In the Solar system, they find themselves at war with the Grineer, a matriarchal race of militarized and deteriorated human clones built upon metal, blood, and war; the Corpus, a mega-corporation with advanced robotics and laser technology built upon profit; the Infested, disfigured victims of the Technocyte virus; and the Sentients, a race of self-replicating machines made by a long-dead transhuman race known as the Orokin. The Lotus guides the Tenno through difficult situations, as well as gives hints which help the player defeat enemies. To fight back, the Tenno use bio-mechanical suits, the eponymous Warframes, to channel their unique abilities.

She realizes that there are other life forms in cryostasis on the Eligius IV prison ship and decides to stay behind and lies about an escape pod so that Bellamy will not argue with her when she stays behind on Eligius IV. After returning to Earth, she forms a romantic relationship with the Eligius pilot Miles Shaw. Throughout the season, Raven is employed as a pilot by both her friends and the Eligius prisoners with their clashing priorities putting Raven and her friends at odds with Clarke. At the end of the season, as the one inhabitable valley left is destroyed, Raven and Shaw fly the survivors back to Eligius IV. In the sixth season, Raven loses Shaw soon after landing on the new world, Sanctum, and becomes bitter and angry towards Clarke and Abby for their various decisions. When the Lee family from Sanctum seizes control of Eligius IV, Raven awakens Charmaine Diyoza from cryosleep and retakes the ship with her and Madi's help, leading to the deaths of all but one of the hijackers.
