The reception she and Enver receive is mixed and strained, but Karigan uses her mirror eye to show the p'ehdrose a future where they are hunted to extinction. Karigan and Enver leave successful with a new alliance in place, however Enver becomes uncharacteristically agitated and reveals that he has been manipulated by the eletian council to mate with Karigan, sensing that he is about to become dangerous. Enver orders Karigan to flee from his presence.

Both Papathemelis and Zouraris have been in the past members of the Greek parliament, each one elected with a different major parties The party's motto is "One vote for Macedonia" and amongst its political goals was to become a member of the European Parliament so as to be the first Macedonian party of the European Parliament, with a clear Hellenic designation - a goal the party described as "to lock the name of Macedonia in Europe" Panhellenic Macedonian Front gathered 1.3% of the valid votes in Greece at the 2009 European Parliament elections, failing to cross the threshold needed for a seat.

Following his appointment as Prime Minister in June 2007, Gordon Brown appointed her as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Department for International Development. As she was not a member of either of the Houses of Parliament, she was created a life peer on 11 July 2007 as Baroness Vadera, of Holland Park in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The Sunday Times reported that the Cabinet Secretary "flatly refus[ed] to allow her to cross the threshold of No 10 as policy enforcer" and "no Permanent Secretary could stand her" – although the Cabinet Secretary denied making these comments. Following criticism of her working style, Stephen Alambritis, of the Federation of Small Businesses, said: “If the Civil Service is complaining about her, then probably more ministers should be like her; she gets things done.” After six months as a Minister in International Development, she was moved to the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (now the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills).

During her stay in Santa Ana, Vela y Cueto started experiencing signs which claimed to come from God. These experiences were deemed to be visions, hearing of celestial voices, trances, fits, and bodily contortions that would make the other nuns and clergy members wonder if her mental capabilities had suffered form her constant state of sickness or if these experiences weren't from up above but were actually her who had gotten possessed by a demon.
