Millersburg is the site of the headquarters of the American Military Cadet Corps, the National Cadet Training Center, HHC American Cadet Alliance and the campus of the historic Millersburg Military Institute (MMI) opened in 1893. The American Cadet Alliance, part of the American Military Cadet Corps the largest entity within Millersburg provides two to six weeks of career exploration programs during the summer. All cadets must be crime-free, drug-free, and doing well in school. Since 1909, ACA has trained and hosted thousands of young people from throughout the United States and from 21 foreign countries.

The Purge is an American media franchise centered on a series of dystopian action horror films distributed by Universal Pictures and produced by Blumhouse Productions and Platinum Dunes, mainly created by James DeMonaco. The films present a seemingly normal, crime free America in the near-future. But the truth is that the country is an dystopian America which celebrates an annual national holiday known as the Purge, a day in which all crime, including murder, becomes legal for a 12-hour period. The franchise began in 2013 with The Purge, directed by creator DeMonaco, who also directed two of the sequels and wrote the screenplays for all films in the series.

Violence-Free Zones, or Violence-Free Zone Initiatives, are community-based interventions for gang members and youth. Zones attempt to stem violence by providing mentorship, guidance, social development, job training and an effective environment for learning, among other tools, to help gang members and at-risk youth break free and become successful in life, crime-free and violence-free. Center for Neighborhood Enterprise The model for Violence-Free Zones was developed by the Center for Neighborhood Enterprise and is based on the principle that lack of parental involvement and guidance is at the root of violence among youth in these high-risk communities.

In 1963, an aging Philip Marlowe (James Caan) is newly married to young socialite Laura Parker (Dina Meyer). According to journalist Anthony Barnett, the attacks at the Maharishi University of Management led critics to question claims that advanced meditation techniques could end violence. The university said that this was the first incident of its kind on their campus, which they say is the most crime-free campus in the country, and that it was not their role to bring criminal charges against students. Craig Pearson, executive vice-president, reported that the Maharishi had said of the incident that "this is an aspect of the violence we see throughout society", including the violence that the U.S. perpetrates in other countries. Barnett also reported that critics alleged, without providing evidence, that other incidents had been "hushed up", and that negative publicity was strenuously avoided.

Upon defeating the gangs' Kingpins and generals, the Agent must put down a final riot by the remaining gang members in the area which after completion will cause that city to be almost crime free. Once all three gangs are fully exterminated, in the closing cutscene of the game, the Director reveals to the Agent that there was an ulterior motive for the Agency's actions: the Agency had secretly empowered the three gangs in the first place to instill fear in Pacific City's residents, thus creating a need for the Agency to control the city, and acceptance in the populace when they did take over. The Agency Director's comments suggest that the Agency will replicate this plan in other cities across the globe to create a New World Order.

Prior to October 1992, Camp Funston was the home of the United States Army Correctional Activity whose mission was to prepare prisoners for transition to civilian life as useful citizens or, in a few select cases, for return to duty. The Correctional Brigade environment was unique in that prisoner control was maintained by military discipline, instead of walls and bars for most of the typical prisoners’ stay. The Correctional Brigade doctrine was that the minimum custody/military discipline environment when coupled with correctional treatment, educational programs, military and vocational training best prepared the typical first-time prisoner for a crime-free life after prison as either a productive soldier or a useful citizen in civilian life. Moreover, this correctional system was asserted to be less expensive to establish and operate than the traditional prison.

The media in general practices self-restraint in this matter; therefore many Muslims say that a different set of standards applies for the Islamic faith.

Choc'late Allen Choc'late Allen (born 19 June 1993) is a child activist who arose to national awareness in early 2007 by engaging in a 5-day fast in an effort to promote the concept of Taking Personal Responsibility for our individual thoughts and actions; in order to treat with social issues plaguing Trinidad and Tobago. During such activity, the young CEO of Caribbean Vizion (a nonprofit youth organization), received visits from many citizens and dignitaries; including, then Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar and then Prime Minister Patrick Manning. With the various school motivational school tours and projects that Allen has embarked on during the "100% Crime Free" initiative, she is committed to her programmes and always sticking to her vision of creating a peaceful society by us accepting personal responsibility for our actions. Allen also formed Youth Committees of young persons under the age of 17 who have the same goal of making a positive impact on youths and society; and who are interested in being effective, future leaders.

Public Safety Officers hoisting the flag on the 4th of July, South Salt Lake City, UT Since 2007, crime in South Salt Lake has been reduced by 30%. Former SSL Police Chief Chris Snyder attributes the drop in crime to 4 factors: 1) Increased attention to code enforcement, 2) Crime Free Rental Housing program that results in greater landlord scrutiny of potential renters, 3) Partnerships, such as that with United Way of Salt Lake, combined with community organizing, such as the Promise South Salt Lake initiative, South Salt Lake Community Connection that address resident needs and improve neighborhoods, and 4) Extensive youth development efforts, such as Promise afterschool programs delivered in nine Neighborhood Centers across the city, and urban/neighborhood revitalization projects. There is a new emphasis on redevelopment (including the Market Station development) and a reduction in the number of liquor licenses allowed to be issued is anticipated to reduce crime in the city. The Motovo Real Estate Blog ranked South Salt Lake as the "Most Dangerous Place in Utah" citing data from the 2012 FBI Uniform Crime Report.
