Galaxy Invader (aka The Galaxy Invader) is a 1985 direct-to-video sci-fi film directed and co-written by Baltimore filmmaker Don Dohler. The film is about an alien who is pursued by hillbillies after his spaceship crash-lands. The film plays off of the success of films such as Creature from the Black Lagoon and adds a twist with its drunken redneck cast. Its low production value and sometimes golden (mostly very poor) acting makes for a cult classic exploitation film with a comedic take on redneck culture and their view on "furriners".

Rodge and the engineers discover footage showing a creature known as a 'Delver' consuming and destroying the first inhabitants of Detritus - Spensa recognizes it as the eyes that she sees in the Nowhere when using her cytonic powers. A cytonic alien named Alanik crash lands on Detritus and cytonically implants her destination into Spensa's mind.
The general plot of the game is that a starship, the Var' Equinalin, is exploring the Hive sector, when it approaches the titular planet Notrium, and is attacked by ground-launched missiles. The player's character (either the human captain, the android engineer, the psionic medic, or the alien stowaway) manages to reach the only working escape pod (the others having been sabotaged by the alien) and crash-lands on the planet's surface. From there, they must find a way to survive, as well as a method of escape. Varying on whichever character is being played, 'journal entries', which appear every day-night cycle for the first in-game fortnight, detail different happenings.

After a super-powered monster crash-lands on Earth and severely weakens the Justice League, Superman becomes their only hope in defeating it but at a life threatening cost. Despite the story being previously adapted in the first DC Universe Animated Original Movie (though not in the DCAMU), Superman: Doomsday, the movie greatly altered and condensed the original comic story to fit it within a 75-minute runtime. The Death of Superman was written to be much more faithful to the original story; according to DC's Tim Beedle, the film is "much less condensed and will include many of the fan-favorite moments from the story that were left out of Doomsday".

In compensation, the Amazons were granted the island of Themyscira, where they would remain eternally youthful and isolated from Man in the course of their duty of holding Ares prisoner for all eternity. Over a millennium later, an American fighter pilot, USAF Colonel Steve Trevor, is shot down in a dogfight and crash-lands his YF-23 on the island, where he soon runs afoul of the Amazon population, including the combative Artemis. Nukie is a 1987 South African film directed by Sias Odendaal (credited as Sias Odendal) and Michael Pakleppa, and starring Steve Railsback, Ronald France, and Glynis Johns. The plot concerns an alien, Nukie, who crash lands on earth and seeks help from two children to reunite with his brother, Miko, who has been captured by the U.S. government. The film was heavily inspired by Steven Spielberg's 1982 film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Simon Abrams of Politico wrote that Nukie was worse than 1988 E.T. knock-off, Mac and Me, writing that it is "probably the most incompetent E.T. ripoff of any time period ... While Mac and Me was just rotten and ill-conceived, Nukie is uniquely perplexing".

The novels, part of the Sword and Planet subgenre of science fiction, follow earthman Napier's fantastic adventures after he crash- lands on Venus, called Amtor by its human-like inhabitants. Unlike Barsoom, the desert planet of Mars, these stories are set upon a waterworld like Earth. Most of the events of the series take place on the island of Vepaja, the kingdom of Korva on the island of Anlap, and the city-states of Havatoo and Kormor on the tropical continent north of Vepaja. As is common in Burroughs' works, the hero is bold and daring, and quickly wins the heart of the Vepajan princess (or janjong) Duare, though class prejudices long inhibit her from expressing her love.

From the limited resources available on the island, they create a musical version of William Shakespeare's Hamlet.

As she explores the train for answers, she teams up with Billy Coen—a former Marine Force Reconnaissance officer, who was to be executed for killing 23 people until the military police van transporting him crashed within the region. The pair soon notices the same mysterious young man, moments before the train suddenly begins moving again.

One particular member, Slade (voiced by Ron Perlman), has a personal grudge against Turok because his brother Robert was also a member of Wolf Pack, and was killed in the same battle in Colombia from which Turok had reputedly fled, earning him his dubious reputation. On approach to their destination, their starship is shot down from orbit and crash lands on the terraformed surface, where Turok quickly learns that the jungles covering the planet are inhabited by dinosaurs.
The only way to stop Zeebad freezing the world is by collecting three magic diamonds (one of which is supposed to be hidden on the roundabout, while the other two are hidden at separate locations far beyond the village). Slotting the diamonds onto the roundabout will re-imprison Zeebad and undo his magic, but if Zeebad retrieves them first then their power will allow him to freeze the Sun itself. Zebedee sends Dougal, Brian the cynical snail, Ermintrude the opera-singing cow and Dylan the hippie rabbit, to accomplish this mission along with a magic train. Meanwhile, Zeebad crash lands after escaping the roundabout, and animates the Foot Guard figurine, Sam the Soldier, to help him find the enchanted diamonds.

While flying back carrying his "prey" he sings "I'm bringing home a baby bumble bee" to the tune of "The Arkansas Traveler". A larger bee, presumably the parent, arrives and stings Beaky, who crash lands and is able to sooth his sting in some water.

She is quite naive, often saying things she doesn't understand and is the most "childish" of Minato's Sekirei (even more so than Kusano), yet at times can be insightful. Musubi is the most "competitive" of Minato's Sekirei, often showing great eagerness to fight other Sekirei, but never fails to be polite, usually introducing herself and then asking for permission first before fighting them. Two running gags in the story are how her clothing always ends up in tatters, revealing her sexy curves after every fight, and how she seems unable to land on her feet after leaping from a great height but always crash-lands on top of Minato. After hearing Tsukiumi say that she is Minato's wife, she decides that she is his wife too.

Boastful, Seiryō thinks it would be a wise idea for Tenchi to concede – not wanting to "bully the weak" – and beseeches him not to worry as he won't be using his full power. Some time before the duel was to begin, the group makes bets on whom they think will win: the majority (including Seiryo's prospective bride and in-laws) side with Tenchi, Azusa favors Seiryō in "less than a minute", and Washū places an unorthodox bet on Mihoshi, who wasn't even present at the time. Washū emerged as the winner of the bet. Mihoshi's shuttle crash lands in the Masaki family lake before the match begins, swamping the deck of the house and leaving a dazed Seiryō to be washed back into the water- Tenchi, on the other hand, was waterlogged but otherwise unfazed.

A shame Lennon didn't listen more generously." According to Williams, writing in his book Phil Spector: Out of His Head, Spector's mistake was in "taking McCartney at his face value" and emphasising the sentimental qualities that George Martin's orchestral arrangements for the Beatles had successfully tempered. Williams added: "Some might say that this track, above all others, epitomises Paul McCartney, and that when Spector sent the saccharine strings sweeping in after the first line of vocal, he was merely highlighting the reality." In a 2003 review for Mojo, shortly after the announcement that McCartney planned to issue "a string-less Let It Be", John Harris opined: "As someone who experiences a Proustian rush every time the orchestra crash-lands in The Long And Winding Road, I can only implore him to think again.

The 2017 Finnish short film Sound from the Deep incorporates elements from At the Mountains of Madness in a modern day setting. Alex Garland's 2018 movie Annihilation (based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Jeff VanderMeer) contains similarities with The Colour Out of Space, as it revolves around an alien entity that crash lands on Earth and begins to expand mutating nearby plant and animal life. Featuring Nicolas Cage and directed by Richard Stanley, Colour Out of Space was released in 2019 based on the short story of the same name. Robert Egger's 2019 movie The Lighthouse has been compared to Lovecraft's works due to the dreary atmosphere, deep sea horror imagery and the otherworldly and maddening power of the titular lighthouse that drives the protagonists to insanity.

Aside from taking place in Earth's past instead of the modern day, the manga also deviates from past franchise entries by having Stitch's human companion be an adult male rather than a young girl.
A 1½ hour live show hosted at the park, Sonic Live in Sydney, was set in an alternate timeline based around the Saturday morning Sonic the Hedgehog animated series and served as a between-story for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 & Sonic the Hedgehog 3. During the show, Doctor Robotnik's Death Egg crash-lands in Australia instead of Angel Island and he attempts a hostile takeover of Sydney, which is foiled by Sonic, Tails, and Princess Sally Acorn. Superman quickly realizes that Halk Kar is less powerful than he is and -- instead of subjecting him to embarrassment over the fact that he may be weaker than his younger brother -- opts to use his own powers to cover for Halk Kar's deficiencies. This plan backfires, as Halk Kar begins to assume a superior attitude to Superman and even begins to make romantic advances on Superman's girlfriend, Lois Lane.
Xenoblade Chronicles X is unconnected to any previous game in the Xeno series, although there are thematic and aesthetic references. After Earth is caught in the crossfire of an alien war, humanity escapes on spaceships — only a few ships make it off the planet, one of them being the White Whale, containing the city New Los Angeles (NLA). The game takes place on Mira, an uncharted world far away from Earth where the White Whale crash-lands: NLA becomes the center of human activity and commerce. Mira is divided into five continents — Primordia, which has the most Earth-like environment; Noctilum, covered by forests and filled with bioluminescent lifeforms; Oblivia, dominated by desert and ancient ruins; Sylvalum, a pale landscape clouded in mist and dominated by large plants and rock formations; and Cauldros, a volcanic land controlled by the Ganglion.

Nolan Feeney for Time remarked, "Iggy crash-lands in her pool (in a clear nod to the "My Prerogative" video)" before concluding "she [Spears] hasn’t looked this happy to be dancing in a video in some time". Writing for Entertainment Weekly, Christopher Rosen opined "Spears and Azalea don their best valley girl clothes for the video, which also includes a short comedy interlude about Azalea’s "radical alien powers.
In an unspecified time in the future, a multi-national consortium sends a team of six astronauts (each with the chance of earning a billion dollars if they complete their mission properly) to Saturn to establish a factory that mines helium for the production of precious "meta" (stabilized metastable helium), a powerful rocket fuel, in the planet's upper atmosphere. With only enough "meta" fuel to get them to Saturn, failure will cost them their lives. And all too soon the crew of astronauts crash- lands on a surface, which is actually the back of an enormous alien life-form they dub the Rukh, a 4-kilometer-long, bizarre sting-ray-shaped creature that "swims" through Saturn's gaseous upper atmosphere and has two brains, both male and female. When part of their apparatus is swallowed by one of these giant birdlike beings, the crew needs to find a way to communicate and to be able to cooperate with the Rukhs so that they may survive.

Development of a live-action Wonder Woman film began in 1996, with Ivan Reitman to produce and possibly direct. Principal photography began on November 21, 2015, with filming taking place in the United Kingdom, France, and Italy before finishing on May 6, 2016, the 123rd anniversary of Marston's birth.
