Reading "Belgravia" is rather like visiting a modern re-creation of a Victorian house — every cornice molding is perfect — but it's a Victorian house with 21st-century plumbing and Wi-Fi.

The original section was a three story high, unembellished brick structure with arched windows and a modest entryway. The building is capped by a high pitched roof broken by dormer windows. The building originally had three tall chimneys which were removed when the building primarily became the library. The building later was ornamented with the addition of pediment detail, a cornice molding, corner quoins, and an enlarged entryway.

The aluminum and plywood siding that had been installed over the years was removed, revealing the original façade still in excellent condition. Window sills, corner boards, and the cornice molding were replaced. Then the original horizontal lap siding and restored board trim were repainted in their original colors. The N. P. Smith Pioneer Hardware Store is an excellent example of a commercial building from Bend's earliest period of development.

The property also had a dairy barn that was rebuilt following its destruction in the 1938 New England hurricane. The register's nomination gives details of the paneling and molding throughout the house. Entering through the front of the house leads to the central hall with a paneled wainscot below the chair rail, forward of the rising stairwell on the left. There is cornice molding and a molded chair rail with runners for the inside shutters.

The Center Hall has always been used as a large drawing room and a waiting area for guests about to be shown into the Yellow Oval Room. Except for the addition of the Stair Landing, little has changed in the Center Hall. Only minor decorative elements have been altered, such as the addition of a cornice molding and bookshelves during the 1952 reconstruction. The hallway still features a segmented Federal archway with its keystone supported by a pair of reeded pilasters. The hand-hewn beams, doors, trim and wall finishes are also original to that period and style. Later renovations added interior rooms with Greek Revival features such as architraves, moldings, cornices and medallions. In the Victorian era, a Stick style porch with chamfered posts and an intricate cornice molding was built on the front and an oriel window on the southwest side.

Miller's house The miller's house and the mill have remained relatively original since their construction in the 1820s. The miller house is a two-story home with two rooms on each level, a north exterior chimney and a corbeled cap. In keeping with the architecture of the main farmhouse at the time, the miller's house included decorative brick cornice molding, oak window and doorframes and a hall-parlor floor plan that was similar to the main farmhouse but at a smaller scale.

To soften the cornice line of the room, Boudin chose a blue silk taffeta with black and gold trim in a Baroque Revival design which he formed into a continuous valance hung just below the cornice molding. For the drapes in the room, Boudin chose straight panels of blue silk taffeta. He then replaced Parish's gold cloth on the table with a blue velvet covering with long gold fringe. The fabrics for the walls, valance, drapes, and tablecloth were all produced by Scalamandré.

Curved mullioned mirrors on one side of the room balance the windows to provide symmetry and reflect light in the room. The large rectangular withdrawing room found at the front of the house has soft gray walls and white wainscoting that offsets the multilayered gilded cornice molding. The windows are surrounded with tall slender pilasters and overhanging entablatures, that add dimension to the walls. With windows on three sides, the room was utilized primarily during the day to take advantage of the daylight and breezes.

James Robinson McCormick House is a historic home located at Farmington, St. Francois County, Missouri. It was built circa 1875 for former United States Congressman James Robinson McCormick, and is a two-story, "L"-shaped, vernacular Greek Revival style red brick I-house with a rear ell. It has a low-pitched gable roof with wide bands of cornice molding and measures approximately 44 feet, 6 inches, wide and 64 feet, 4 inches, long. It features a single-story white portico supported by six white square columns.

The window and door treatments are typical storefront with large wood sash windows with transoms and doorways without decoration. There is frieze and cornice 'molding' above the window transoms at the second floor level terminating at the northwest and southeast corners in a decorative bracket and triangular ornament. The second floor of the west facade is given a pier effect by the use of vertical sections of raised brick at regular intervals between the tall rectangular windows. Original double hung windows have been replaced with Aluminium frame windows.

To finish unifying the scheme of the Blue Room, Boudin had the dado rail and the cornice molding painted gold and white. Painter and craftsman Peter H. Guertler, widely known as an expert on restoration of historic interior paintwork, repainted these parts of the room for free. Life-size portraits of George Washington, John Adams, James Madison, and John Quincy Adams had long hung in the Blue Room. Boudin retained these works of art, adding to them three new works (of Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, and Andrew Jackson) purchased by the White House.

The Granite Store is set on the south side of US Route 1, between its junction with Maine State Route 200 and the crossing of Mill Brook. It is a 2-1/2 story structure with a front-facing gable roof. It is set on a granite foundation, and its two stories are fashioned out of courses of locally quarried rough cut granite; the gable ends are framed in wood and finished in weatherboard, with a cornice molding outlining it. The main facade faces north, and has a central entry set in a frame of long granite blocks.

The building's first-story walls are brick masonry sheathed in light-gray granite, with rusticated joints and quoins at the corners, and are pierced by window and door openings headed with articulated semicircular arches. A continuous granite stringcourse carved with Vitruvian scrolls and a balustrade above divide the first and second floors. The upper stories are composed of Roman brick with terra-cotta detailing and crowned with a dentil cornice molding supported by scrolled consoles. The flanking pavilions are capped with slate-covered pyramidal roofs, prominently featuring two ornamental vent stacks clad in terra cotta atop a rusticated stone base.

The first and second tiers (which were of equal width) are cubic in shape, with large, Georgian-style painted shutters covering a false window opening. The third stage is octagonal, with Palladian-shaped, closed, Georgian-style painted shutters covering false openings. At the bottom of the cupola, the guilloche-patterned cornice molding was repeated with the octagonal bell cupola surmounted by a lightning-rod spire with a large, copper ball finial. Further Georgian influence can be detected in the original design's twin chimneys, which featured cornice-like molding that matched the dentils elsewhere on the structure.
