Several early characters of Asian descent were introduced as the clumsy, foolish and bumbling sidekicks of White male superheroes. These characters were frequently caricatures of the Chinese coolie, appearing short in stature, sporting bucked teeth and a queue, and spoke pidgin English. These characters often served as comedy relief or as a convenient hostage for the villain of the day. Examples of such characters include the controversial Chop-Chop (aka Wu Cheng) of DC's Blackhawk team (see below) and Wing-How.

Blackhawk himself is no longer identified as being Polish, but rather a Polish-American who is a volunteer flyer in the Polish Air Force. His sidekick in the squadron is Stanislaus, a "brilliant young student" from the University of Warsaw.

Bell X1's album Chop Chop was released on 28 June 2013 in Ireland, an album that sees Geraghty back behind the drum kit. The track 'Diorama' on which Geraghty sings lead vocal, was used as part of the film soundtrack to There's Always Woodstock. In 2014, Geraghty released his third solo album INHERIT, under the moniker "Join Me in the Pines". In 2018 he returned to his hometown of Leixlip to perform a song from INHERIT as part of the TV series Jingle Jangle, which was aired on Irish television in autumn 2017.

The company's far-sea fishing activity at that time was located off the coast of West Africa. According to , a co-founder and long- time employee of , the recipe was inspired by "chop-chop", a West African delicacy sampled by 's fishermen in one of the local ports. The dish contained fish, rice and a hot spice called "pima". It is unknown which connection beyond homage and inspiration, if any, those groups have to the classic Blackhawks.

Raphael John "Ralph" Gil Eigenmann (25 September 1961 – 1 September 2014), better known by his screen name Mark Gil, was a Filipino actor. Gil was often cast as a main villain in action films. Gil was widely known for playing the role of Lorna Tolentino's former American boss-lover-killer in the drama- suspense thriller The Elsa Castillo Story: The Chop-Chop Lady, the script of which is inspired by true events. Later in 2004 Johnny played on Pale's album Here in addition to completing his second solo album Boy in a Box, which was the debut release of F+M Records. The tracks "Back of a Magazine" and "Everyone Remembers (When You're Cool)" from Boy in a Box were included on the soundtrack of the 2006 short film Surf Gang. 2006 also saw the release of Johnny's acoustic album All You Can't Undo, which he supported with a nationwide acoustic tour with Taylor Davis. While on tour, Goudie and Davis met singer/songwriter Shwa Losben, and the three recorded an album titled Chop Chop.

This attack was improved by Mathy Vanhoef and Frank Piessens in 2013, where they increase the amount of packets an attacker can transmit, and show how an attacker can also decrypt arbitrary packets. The basis of the attack is an extension of the WEP chop-chop attack. Because WEP uses a cryptographically insecure checksum mechanism (CRC32), an attacker can guess individual bytes of a packet, and the wireless access point will confirm or deny whether or not the guess is correct. In 1998, Miss Fear returned in a somewhat different form in the four-issue miniseries Guns of the Dragon, by Timothy Truman, starring Enemy Ace and Bat Lash. Set in China, 1927, this story depicted her as a young, half-Chinese / half-Caucasian spy in service of the communists. The plot also involved a recurring Blackhawk villain, the Thunderer, as well as a brief appearance by Chop-Chop, although his age at that point seems impossible to reconcile with his later career as Blackhawk's sidekick. The outcome of the adventure led Fear to reconsider her loyalty to the communists and suggested her future as a freelance freedom-fighter.

In May 2014, a self-titled debut album was released featuring collaborations with Joan As Policewoman, Martha Wainwright, Gemma Hayes, Amy Millan, Julia Stone, Lisa Hannigan, Danielle Harrison, Cathy Davey, Maria Doyle Kennedy and fiddler Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh. The album's release was delayed until May 2014 due to touring and recording commitments for Bell X1's sixth LP, Chop Chop. In February 2017, Pairet launched a carvery The Chop Chop Club with Unïco Shanghai. Pairet featured whole pieces of meat and fish for mains, carved and served at the peak of the dishes - "released based on a nightly schedule, the names and times of which are displayed with prices and available portions on a digital screen with live updates of 'buy now' and 'sold out' statuses." with "some larger pieces to be shared between different, unconnected tables" or to be served as whole for an entire table.

Professor Edwards was an innovator who was dedicated, committed, and passionate about music and its performance. Jen Miller, he is the co-creator of the public access series Electra Elf (2004-08), featuring Miller, Faceboy, Andrew J. Lederer and a "who's who" of New York downtown artists and performers. He served as director of photography on another TV series called Chop Chop (2007), produced by Nate Hill. Additionally, Zedd has acted in such low-budget movies as the Super-8 film The Manhattan Love Suicides (1985), What About Me (1993), Bubblegum (1995), Jonas in the Desert (1997), Troma Films' Terror Firmer (1999) and Thus Spake Zarathustra (2001).

Two singles, "Empire Song" and "Chop-Chop", were released from the album, but only "Empire Song" charted in the UK. After the release of their third EP, Birds of a Feather and the "single of the same name", which charted in the UK, Killing Joke released their fourth studio album, Fire Dances, in July 1983. In Blackhawk #263 (October 1983), writer Mark Evanier took over the "Blackhawk Bylines" letter column to address an anonymous editorial written by a staff member of the Richmond Times- Dispatch that ran in the paper's February 6, 1983, edition. Evanier wrote of the piece: An admittedly stunned Evanier readily denounced the column, challenging the editorial writer's assertion that Steven Spielberg, at the time rumored to be interested in making a Blackhawk film, should be faithful to the original depiction of Chop-Chop. Evanier wrote that it's amazing to him that "anyone could believe that Chinese folks were really obese and stupid in the forties" or that Spielberg would ignore the box office and "commit professional suicide by so depicting them". When asked later if the editorial hastened Evanier's own approach to evolving the character, Evanier said he thought he would have pursued the same course regardless, giving the editorial "probably more attention than it deserved".
