The property was purchased in 1987 by Michael Tree, then a chartered surveyor of the Crown Estates, who undertook its restoration before selling it in 1998 to Louis and Louise Parker, who further restored the grounds and interior. It now functions as a country hotel. The former GWR Hall class locomotive 5998 was named after the hall.

Derek Mathias Tudor Williams (1929-1984) was a Welsh collector of modern art who left his collection to the Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales, where it is displayed at the National Museum Cardiff. Williams was from the Llandaf district of Cardiff, and was educated at Radley College. Williams spent his professional life as a chartered surveyor in his family's business. In the 1960s Williams started purchasing art from Cardiff's Howard Roberts Gallery, initially focusing on the works of Ceri Richards and John Piper.

Leung Chun-ying (; born 12 August 1954), also known as CY Leung, is a Chinese politician from Hong Kong, and a chartered surveyor. He was the third Chief Executive of Hong Kong between 2012 and 2017. In March 2017, he was appointed vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. A surveyor by profession, Leung entered politics when he joined the Hong Kong Basic Law Consultative Committee (HKBLCC) in 1985 and became its secretary-general in 1988.

McGrath graduated from the Polytechnic of the South Bank (renamed London South Bank University in 2003) with a BSc (Distinction) in Estate Management. He obtained a post- graduation Diploma in Property Investment (Award Winner) for the University College of Estate Management. McGrath became a Chartered Surveyor and worked in the property industry for 35+ years and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors., the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors and is a Freeman of the City of London.

Alec Michael John Wright, CMG (; 19 September 1912 – 26 January 2018) was a chartered surveyor and Director of Public Works of Hong Kong. He was a longtime colonial civil servant and chief architect of the Public Works Department. He was also an official member of the Legislative Council and Urban Council. He was responsible for many infrastructure and housing projects and advocated for private bathroom and kitchen in every unit of the housing estate which is known as the "Wright Principle".

Saunders was born in Barnet, Hertfordshire, to Philip Gordon Saunders, a chartered surveyor and landowner, and to Mary Christian Knight. She had two younger brothers, John Frederick Stacey Saunders and Christopher Gordon Strode Saunders.1939 England and Wales Register After attending Roedean School (1932–37), Saunders began studying politics, philosophy, and economics at St Anne's College, Oxford in 1938. Martin McCauley was born on 18 October 1934 in Omagh, Northern Ireland. He studied at the University of Westminster (1953-6); University of London (1962-8); University of Paris (Sorbonne) (1961); University of Perugia (Italy) (summer 1962, 63); Timiryazev Agricultural Academy, Moscow, Russia (1969); Teachers' University, Beijing, China (1988). His academic qualifications include a Diploma in Surveying (Westminster); BA, PhD (London), Diplôme d’études de civilisation française (Sorbonne). He is also a chartered surveyor and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

Official portrait, 2019 Roualeyn Robert Hovell-Thurlow-Cumming-Bruce, 9th Baron Thurlow (born 13 April 1952), is a British hereditary peer and chartered surveyor who sits as a crossbench member of the House of Lords. He was elected to sit in the House at a crossbench hereditary peers' by-election in February 2015, following the resignation of Lord Chorley. He married Bridget Anne Julia Ismay Cheape on 5 May 1980, the daughter of Hugh Bruce Ismay Cheape, of Fossoway Lodge, Kinross. They have four children: The Hon.

Gerald Francis Bowden (26 August 1935 – 7 January 2020) was a British Conservative MP, who represented Dulwich from 1983 until 1992. He was defeated by future Labour cabinet minister Tessa Jowell in the 1992 general election. Gerald Bowden also represented Dulwich on the Greater London Council 1977–81. He was an honours graduate in Jurisprudence from Magdalen College, Oxford; was called to the bar at Gray's Inn and qualified as a chartered surveyor at the College of Estate Management, practising part-time in these professions.

Having got a job as a trainee chartered surveyor he only rejoined the team on a part-time basis. During the 24-year Indonesian occupation of East Timor, Alkatiri was a chartered surveyor (Angolan School of Geography), and lived in exile in Angola and Mozambique. He also studied law at Eduardo Mondlane University, Maputo, Mozambique. Alkatiri was Senior Legal consultant, in a private law office in Maputo from 1992 to 1998, and consultant on Public International Law and Constitutional Law to the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique from 1995 to 1998. On 20 May 2002, the United Nations Transitional Administration transferred sovereignty to the first elected Parliament and Government of East Timor.

In the UK, real estate appraisal is known as property valuation and a real estate appraiser is a land valuer or property valuer (usually a qualified chartered surveyor who specializes in property valuation). Property valuation in the UK is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), a professional body encompassing all of the building and property-related professions. The RICS professional guidelines for valuers are published in what is commonly known as the Red Book. The 2017 version was the RICS Valuation – Global Standards (1 July 2017), superseding an edition published in 2011.

Tribunals technically comprised members drawn from one of the five rent assessment panels of England, constituted under Schedule 10 of the Rent Act 1977. Clifton-Brown, the son of Robert and Elizabeth Clifton-Brown and a descendant of James Clifton Brown, was born in Cambridge. He was educated at Tormore School, in Upper Deal, Kent and then Eton College, before attending the Royal Agricultural College where he qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1975. He began his career as a graduate estate surveyor at the Property Services Agency in Dorchester and, later in 1975, became an investment surveyor with Jones Lang Wootton. He became the vice chairman of the Norfolk North Conservative Association in 1984.

The 16th Lord of Bowland was later revealed to be a Cambridge University don. In April 2010, it was announced that the 16th Lord of Bowland had appointed Charles Bowman, landlord of the Inn at Whitewell, as Chief Steward of the Forest of Bowland, the first such appointment since 1922. The appointment was short-lived, however, and in May 2011, chartered surveyor Michael Parkinson of Ingham & Yorke of Clitheroe assumed the role. The arrangement fee will be followed by a valuation fee, which pays for a chartered surveyor to visit the property and ensure it is worth enough to cover the mortgage amount. This is not a full survey so it may not identify all the defects that a house buyer needs to know about. It does not usually form a contract between the surveyor and the buyer, so the buyer has no right to sue in contract if the survey fails to detect a major problem. However, the buyer may have a remedy against the surveyor in tort.

By the age of 30, he was made vice-chairman of the JLW branch in Hong Kong, and was reported to be making a yearly salary of HK$10 million. Leung became the real estate advisor for Zhu Rongji when Zhu was mayor and party chief in Shanghai from 1987 to 1991. Zhu later became the Vice-Premier and then the 5th Premier of the People's Republic of China from March 1998 to March 2003.

Huntington-Whiteley was born in Plymouth, Devon, the daughter of Fiona (née Jackson), a fitness instructor, and Charles, a chartered surveyor. She has a brother and a sister. She grew up on a farm near Tavistock, Devon. She is a member of a noble family as her paternal great- grandfather, Wing-Commander Eric Huntington-Whiteley JP, was the nephew of George Whiteley, 1st Baron Marchamley and the younger son of politician Sir Herbert Huntington-Whiteley, 1st Baronet; Eric's wife, Rosie's great- grandmother, Enid Kohn, was from a family of Polish Jews who emigrated to England in the 1870s.

In August 2001 during the Conservative leadership election, Bendall's name headed a letter from seven former Conservative MPs expressing "our concern for the unity and electability of the Conservative Party" if Kenneth Clarke were to win, and endorsed Iain Duncan Smith."Implications of a Clarke victory", The Times, 20 August 2001, p. 13. Bendall is a Chartered Surveyor and is sole principal of the family practice which was established in Croydon in 1924. The practice is still in being with him as the sole principal, specialising in property management both commercial and residential and commercial rent reviews.

The son of a colonel and a scion of the Garden branch of Clan Stirling, Stirling attended Rugby School and Trinity College, Cambridge. He was commissioned into the Army, commanded the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and served in the Korean War; after leaving active service, he held commands in the Territorial Army in the 1960s and was Honorary Colonel of the 3rd Battalion of the 51st Highland Volunteers (1979–86). In the meantime, he also practised as a chartered surveyor and became a partner in K. Ryden and Partners in 1962. He left the company in 1989.

The UK Privy Council list includes (as of November 2018) 107 titles, including 20 variants on Chartered Surveyor, and is noted as not being exhaustive. The 21st century has seen moves to increase professionalism. The Chartered Physicist status, for example, has, since 2001, required a master's degree to fulfill the academic preparation and is no longer awarded automatically to all corporate members of the Institute of Physics, and since 2012 has required evidence of CPD to be presented to renew the status every 3 years. Similarly Chartered Engineers in the UK have needed a master's degree since 2012, and in Ireland since 2013.

Chartered Surveyor is the description (protected by law in many countries) of Professional Members and Fellows of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) entitled to use the designation (and a number of variations such as "Chartered Building Surveyor" or "Chartered Quantity Surveyor" or "Chartered Civil Engineering Surveyor" depending on their field of expertise) in Commonwealth countries and Ireland. Chartered originates from the Royal Charter granted to the world's first professional body of surveyors. Chartered Surveyors are entitled to use "MRICS" or "FRICS" after their names as appropriate. Chartered Surveyors are highly trained and experienced property professionals.

He then went on to study Russian and German at Trinity College, Cambridge, although was unable to secure even a third-class degree. He then qualified as a chartered surveyor at a firm in Gloucestershire, before moving back to London to work for his father's property business. Commenting on this job, he later stated that it was "quite amusing, but of course I wasn't any good at it", with property speculators eroding much of his fortune. In 1966 one of his properties, the basement of his own residence, became the base of the London Free School.

Boys was born at Yateley, Hampshire, the son of a chartered surveyor and a phlebotomist. He won a Cameron Mackintosh scholarship to study at the Guildford School of Acting, where he graduated with a BA (Honours) in 2001.The Cast, Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds tour programme, 2006 He was selected to perform in the first UK tour of Jonathan Larson's Rent, which meant leaving college early. He joined the family business as a chartered surveyor, working in this role in and around the City of London, and concluded his career as a senior partner of the firm Kemsley, Whiteley & Ferris. He was active in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, of which he became a fellow, and became master of the livery company for the profession, the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors. He was the first Chairman of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club which he helped found to develop professional expertise in the structural and legal aspects of party walls. He now lectures as a visiting professor at Kingston University in their School of Surveying.

This firm operates from a high profile office in Clifton, Bristol and specialises in the sale of residential property. It was at one point sold to Humberts for a maximum total consideration of £2,543,000 of which £1.43million was paid in cash and £600,000 in Humberts shares with the balance representing deferred consideration and acquisition costs. However, was bought back by Harding in 2008 just nine months after selling it for £1.06 million,of which £60,000 pounds was paid in cash and the balance representing the cancellation of the outstanding deferred amount of £1.0 million.

The housebuilding business that became Countryside Properties was founded in 1958 by Alan Cherry CBE, who remained its chairman until his death in January 2010.Countryside chair Alan Cherry dies, Inside Housing, 25 January 2010 His eldest son, Graham Cherry, was appointed to the board in 1984 and has been chief executive since 1996; his youngest son Richard Cherry was appointed to the board in 1986 and was appointed deputy chairman in 2005. Alan Cherry, a chartered surveyor, began his career as an estate agent and was one of the founding partners of Bairstow Eves. In 1959, the four Bairstow partners formed Copthorn as a development business, with Alan Cherry running it part-time.

Fairbairn's birthplace - The Red House, Cluny Gardens Ronald Fairbairn was born at the Red House, Cluny Gardens,Edinburgh and Leith Post Office Directory 1889-90 in Morningside, Edinburgh in 1889, the only child of Cecilia Leefe and Thomas Fairbairn, a chartered surveyor, and President of the Edinburgh Architectural Association. He was educated at Merchiston Castle School and at the University of Edinburgh where he studied for three years in divinity and Hellenic Greek studies, graduating MA in 1911. In the First World War he joined the Royal Engineers and served under General Allenby in the Palestinian campaign, and then the Royal Garrison Artillery. On his return to home he began medical training, probably inspired by his war experience.

Frederick Ernest Cleary (1905-1984) CBE, who was originally a Chartered Surveyor from Crouch End, London. Later, he formed a very successful company ‘Haslemere Estates’, who refurbished many of the City of London’s fine old buildings during the 70's and 80's. In 1970, he formed the Bay Trust to 'preserving the natural environment in the proximity of St. Margaret’s Bay and undertaking related environmental education initiatives'. This was due to his work in inner London, where he created green and restful spaces in the City, often on the site of bomb damaged sites. His philanthropic activities and his writing of two books ‘Beauty and the Borough’ and ‘The Flowering City’, resulting in him earning the nickname ‘Flowering Fred’.

Anthony was also a caricature artist, but is most noted for her wartime pictures during the Second World War when she painted about 100 watercolours of men and women engaged in war work. During the Second World War she submitted some of her work to the War Artists Advisory Committee and two of her watercolour paintings from 1943 were acquired by the Imperial War Museum. In the 1960s she worked for the American film producer Samuel Bronston to research historical costumes for several feature films, including 55 Days at Peking (1963), and The Fall of the Roman Empire (1964). In 1944 she married John Victor Caldecott Anthony (1912–2001), a chartered surveyor with the Inland Revenue and a great-nephew of the artist Randolph Caldecott.

Initial planning of the town was conducted by chartered surveyor H. Wilkens in 1870 with streets laid out in the form of a rectangular grid. The market square (Torvet) was positioned at the centre, midway between the harbour and the railway station. From only 400 inhabitants at the beginning of the 1870s, the town and its population grew rapidly, with 1529 residents mentioned in 1880, and 4,211 in 1890. Esbjerg in May 1945 In 1893, Esbjerg became a municipality in its own right (initially known as Esbjerg Ladeplads), receiving the status and privileges of a market town in 1899 and incorporating the parish of Jerne (east of the centre) in 1945. A number of institutions and facilities were soon established, including the courthouse and town hall (1891), the gas and waterworks (1896) and the power plant (1907).

The manor has been proclaimed Hampshire's Most Haunted house, by David Scanlan, founder of the Hampshire Ghost Society, who was responsible for bringing the alleged haunting to the attention of paranormal investigators and the public during his time as manager of the youth hostel there from 2002 to 2006. The Manor's reputation for being haunted was blamed by the press for the property's failure to sell at auction in 2010, although a local chartered surveyor had described it as a unique selling point likely to appeal to developers wanting to turn it into a guest house. Manor trustees have confirmed the value of the Manor's reputation in getting the public interested in the restoration of the building. The reported paranormal activity includes sudden drops in temperature, children whispering, furniture moving and apparitions of more than twenty ghosts.

He was a replacement for Bath in the victorious 1998 Heineken Cup Final as they defeated Brive. He first played for Scotland against Canada, in January 1995, and became a professional player when the code was changed in 1996. He was first appointed Scottish captain for the 1999 match against Italy, but sustained a shattered kneecap in April 1999, and was out of the game for over a year. In March 2000, whilst still undergoing rehabilitation and surgery on his knee, it was discovered that he had testicular cancer, which was successfully treated with chemotherapy.

The eldest son of Pembroke Henry Cokayne Cross (1884–1964) a chartered surveyor, and Jeanie Boyd (1888–1944), he was educated at Hilsea College in Portsmouth, Havant High School, and Kingswood School. In December 1938 Squadron Leader Cross was appointed Auxiliary Liaison Officer at HQ, No 12 Group, Fighter Command. Cross served in the Second World War and in October 1939 was appointed Officer Commanding No. 46 Squadron, conducting flying missions over Norway.

Improvement of the slum housing conditions, amongst the worst in the capital, was first undertaken by St Pancras Borough Council in 1906 at Goldington Buildings, at the junction of Pancras Road and Royal College Street, and continued on a larger scale by the St Pancras House Improvement Society (subsequently the St Pancras & Humanist Housing Association, the present owner of Goldington Buildings) which was established in 1924. Arbuthnott was a chartered surveyor and a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), a Land Agent, a Justice of the Peace (JP) and a Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. He served with the Agricultural Land Service division of the Ministry of Agriculture (1949–55), was Senior Land Agent for Nature Conservancy in Scotland (1955–67), member of the Countryside Commission (Scotland; 1968–71), Chairman of the Red Deer Commission 1969–75, President of the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (1973–92), President of the Scottish Landowners' Federation (1974–79), and a member of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (1976–2012), Scottish Agricultural Organisation Society (1980–1983), the RSGS (1983–2012); Federation of Agricultural Co-operatives (UK) Ltd (1983–2012); Deputy Chairman of the Nature Conservancy Council (1980–85); and Chairman of the Advisory Committee for Scotland (1980–85). William Richard Fletcher-Vane, 2nd Baron Inglewood DL, usually called Richard Inglewood (born 31 July 1951), is a former Conservative Party politician in the United Kingdom. Lord (Richard) Inglewood is a non-affiliated Member of the House of Lords, a barrister and Chartered Surveyor, and has an MA in Land Economy from Trinity College Cambridge. He was a Minister in John Major's Government, serving as a Whip and Deputy Chief Whip in the House of Lords in 1995 and as a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of National Heritage 1995–97 where he was responsible for broadcasting and heritage, and Minister for Tourism 1995–1997. Between 2011–2014 he was Chairman of the House of Lords Select Committee on Communications, and 2014–2015 Chairman of the Select Committee on Extradition Law. From 1989 to 2004 he was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) where he was the Conservative spokesman on Legal Affairs, and Chief Whip in 1994. He was Chairman of the CN Group, an independent local media business based in Carlisle 2002–2016, Chairman of Carr's Milling Industries plc 2005–2013, and of the Reviewing Committee on the Export of Works of Art 2003–2014, Chairman of Gen2 from 2016 until 2018 and President of Cumbria Tourist Board 2004 to 2019.
