Collectively, their carnages account for some 1,800 deaths and close to 7,000 injuries in the United States since the beginning of 2013, according to The Guardian — though that's only a small fraction of overall gun-related deaths.

Vicious violence by criminals and radical extremists has taken the lives of many in Europe in far greater numbers --and even more, when we consider the carnages that unfold on a daily basis in parts of the Arab world at the hands of brutal autocrats like the Assad regime, or radical extremists like ISIS and their ilk.

Saurian was conceived by Nick Turinetti during his time as community moderator and quality-assurance tester for the game Primal Carnage. On 8 July 2011, Brahmeshwar Singh was released on bail after serving 9 years in jail awaiting trial for 17 cases, including those related to Dalit carnages in Bihar. The Punjab Boundary Force was an ad hoc military force to restore law and order during the communal carnages of the partition of India in the Punjab. The force was based on the 4th Indian Division and commanded by Maj Gen T.W. Rees. The force was unable to execute its task successfully and it was disbanded so that the newly formed dominion armies of India and Pakistan could take charge of the situation.
