Lamar followed up the striking visuals by performing "Alright" in front of a giant bonfire, and transitioned into a never before heard song utilizing some fast action camera work, before ending the his performance with the word Compton over an image of Africa in one of the most striking performance to hit the Grammy stage in years.

In the film's second half, when Bob and Eve are ducking through thick vegetation and setting clever traps for their pursuer, the combination of the expensive jungle sets and state-of-the-art practical effects — including fog machines, rear-projection, subjective camera work, and gorgeously elaborate matte paintings — gives The Most Dangerous Game a dreamlike quality.

Apart from a great deal of hand-held, wide-screen camera work that might be thought of as Lars von Trier-o-Vision, the movie, directed by Erik Poppe, proceeds in the manner of any number of war epics of the 1960s, sluggishly charting how the ostensibly ceremonial king acquired real negotiating power during a crisis — and had the resolve to lead his country into war.

The big screen does justice to the same detailed sound design and nimble camera work—replete with destabilizing effects such as scenes that open from bizarre vantage points or follow heretofore unknown characters—that made for one of the most cinematic series in the history of television... Even if you have a Netflix subscription, this harsh splendor is worth the price of a movie ticket.

Even if the choice was based on the difficulty of adjusting the camera work, it would have been a small price to pay for the sake of bringing a full-throated, energized cast to TV screens across country, not to mention giving us a Roger whose (temporary) disability added welcome relatability — something that's frequently a problem for the character anyway, given that he can easily come across as selfish and abrasive.

They are being Intimate and Gosling is holding a keyboard (but not playing it?), and oh good, they're doing Bob Marley and the Wailers: Admittedly it is kind of saved by Malick's strangely calming surrealist camera work, and we should all still watch this movie for HRH Patti Smith, but honestly, I gotta say I liked Ryan Gosling a lot better when he wore a satin bomber jacket and spent a lot of time brooding.
