The club was founded in 1888 initially rowing from a boathouse in a park that burnt down during the 1930s. After a dormant period the club was started again by Bob Heywood during the 1980s. In recent years the club has produced several national champions.

Eskişehir Atatürk Stadium () was a multi-purpose stadium in Eskişehir, Turkey. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home ground of Eskişehirspor. The stadium held 13,520 people and was built in 1953. It was burnt down by angry fans in 2016 following the relegation of Eskişehirspor.
De Rentmeester () is a smock mill in Menaam, Friesland, Netherlands which was built in Dronryp in 1857 and moved to a new site at Menaldum in 1982, replacing a mill that had burnt down. The mill has been restored to working order. It is listed as a Rijksmonument.

From an unknown source and author, but obtained from the Western College Memorial Archives is a declaration for “Present Properties Needing Change or Improvement.” One of the buildings that addressed a plea to improve the buildings safety was Peabody. The short document quotes, “It is a large dignified structure of high ceilings and wide halls, with an atmosphere which it is desirable to preserve.
The large building complex (German: Krummes Haus) in the inner bailey traditionally housed the magistrate's offices. It burnt down completely on 18 December 1919, due to arson. Commins Coch is also the site of one of the 1970s holiday cottages allegedly burnt down by Meibion Glyndŵr during its campaign against English incomers. A post windmill was located on Clarborough Hill. It was standing in 1753, but burnt down in 1896.Pevsner, Nikolaus (1979); The Buildings of England:Nottinghamshire.

Hallas Bridge Mill was destroyed by fire. Goit Stock Mill was later utilised as a café and ballroom. It too burnt down (in 1927) with no reports of casualties. Its chimney and flue are still extant, with the chimney being built on the northern ridge to aid the dispersal of smoke from the narrow valley.

The Schimbrig is a mountain of the Emmental Alps, located in the municipality of Hasle in the canton of Lucerne. In the nineteenth century a tourist resort was established at the foot of the mountain where a natural sulphur spring surfaces. The resort Schimbrig Bad was successful until it burnt down in a fire in the early twentieth century.

Hill Hall Hill Hall is a Grade I Listed country house. It was built in 1557–1558 for Sir Thomas Smith. Theydon Mount has a church called St Michael which was completed in 1614 by Sir William Smith and is Grade I Listed. The original church was St Michael and St Stephen which burnt down in 1611.
The municipality of Offenbach bought the synagogue in 1936, after it had not been used as such for quite some time, thus saving it from being burnt down on Kristallnacht (9–10 November 1938). The Inn at Ulva was popular with visitors to Staffa. However, although it called itself a "temperance inn", its keeper was charged three times with breach of licence. It burnt down in 1880 - the buildings were thatched, and the guest book, which contained many famous signatures was destroyed with it. It reopened, but was finally closed in 1905.
The Battle of Fort Zhenjiang was a military conflict between the Later Jin and the Ming dynasty. In the fall of 1621 Ming general Mao Wenlong captured Fort Zhenjiang on the border of the Jin-Joseon border and held it against multiple Jin assaults before retreating. Nurhaci burnt down the fort afterwards rather than risk having it captured again.

In 1683 the abbey burnt down. Between 1745 and 1771 extensive restoration took place. The French Revolution brought its dissolution in 1790. Various uses of the premises followed, after the restoration of the monarchy mostly religious, until in 1873 the buildings were again occupied by a Cistercian community, in the form of Trappist monks from Aiguebelle Abbey.

This synagogue was built in 1818 in Hürben, which now is part of Krumbach. It is very similar to the synagogue of Ichenhausen. The population was at its highest from 1878 until 1885. A post office was opened in 1878 and remained open until it was burnt down in the bush fire of December 1904.
