Eisenhower Fellowships selected Petr Duchoň in 2001 to represent the Czech Republic.
The post of the Delegate could be seen as equivalent to that of a Deputy Prime Minister (particularly since the legislation of 1944). Unlike the GRP and PKP, which operated alongside the military structures but had no influence over them, the Delegation had budgetary control over the military. As the co-rapporteur for the revision of the financial regulation, approved in the plenary in October 2012, Gräßle was instrumental in the negotiation of a compromise between the European Institutions.

The Committee on Budgetary Control is responsible for the control of the implementation of the Union's budget, meaning that the taxpayers' money is spent efficiently, effectively and according to EU law. In close cooperation with the Court of Auditors, it audits the accounts of EU Institutions and suggests improvements in order to ensure sound financial management. It considers fraud and irregularities in the budget implementation, and suggests measures aimed at preventing and prosecuting such cases. He was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from 1996 to 2009, and a member of the Finnish parliament from 1987 to 1996. In the European Parliament Seppänen was Member of the Bureau of the European United Left–Nordic Green Left and sat on the European Parliament's Committee on Budgets. He also was a substitute for the Committee on Budgetary Control and the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy.

In 2004, Busuttil was elected as an MEP with the Nationalist Party in the election for the European Parliament netting the largest number of personal preference votes, 58,899 votes. Angelika Winzig (born 9 May 1963) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) who has been serving as a Member of the European Parliament since 2019. From 2013 until 2019, Winzig was a member of the National Council. During her time in parliament, she served on the Committee on Economic Affairs (2013-2019), the Committee on Foreign Affairs (2013-2017), the Defense Committee (2013-2017), the Budget Committee (2017-2019) and the Finance Committee (2017-2019). Management theory was still in its infancy when James O. McKinsey (or Mac, as he was known by friends and colleagues) founded the firm that bears his name in 1926. He had left his academic career to build a firm that provided finance and budgeting services but quickly gained a reputation for providing advice on organization and management issues. To encourage the private sector further, AID was prepared to fund the Somali Chamber of Commerce if the Somali government would allow it to become an independent body. The 1986 report went beyond privatization by calling for means of improving the government's revenue collection and budgetary control systems. Claude Turmes (born 26 November 1960) is a Luxembourgish politician who served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from 2009 until 2018. He is a member of the Green Party, part of the European Green Party. Turmes was elected as a member of the European Parliament in the 1999 European elections. In parliament, he first served on the Committee on Budgetary Control before joining the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy in 2002. In this capacity, he served as rapporteur on the 2008 draft of the EU Renewable Energy Directive 2009/28/ECJennifer Rankin (January 30, 2008), Turmes to draft the Parliament’s renewables position European Voice.

A Committee room The Parliament has 20 Standing Committees consisting of 25 to 73 MEPs each (reflecting the political make-up of the whole Parliament) including a chair, a bureau and secretariat. They meet twice a month in public to draw up, amend to adopt legislative proposals and reports to be presented to the plenary. The rapporteurs for a committee are supposed to present the view of the committee, although notably this has not always been the case. In the events leading to the resignation of the Santer Commission, the rapporteur went against the Budgetary Control Committee's narrow vote to discharge the budget, and urged the Parliament to reject it.
