Didrik goes into exile at Attila's court and makes an attempt to return to his kingdom with a Hunnish army, bringing along his brother Thether (Diether) and Attila's two sons Erp and Ortwin. The army fights a mighty battle against Ermanrik at Gronsport on the Mosel and defeats him. During the battle, Wiðga (Witege) kills Thether, Erp, and Ortwin; Didrik pursues Wiðga, breathing fire, until the latter disappears in the (non-existent) mouth of the Mosel into the sea. Didrik throws his spear after Wiðga, and one can still see it today.

Bailey runs out of bullets and asks David for some more but the elevator's door opens up and the dragon quickly breathes fire into the elevator, killing both Bailey and Cookie. Dr. Ian, David and Dr. Winter and her pet cloned dog head outside and start up the helicopter, just before the whole facility explodes. In The Maw players control Frank, who in turn controls The Maw via an electrical leash that he uses to keep him at his side. Track seven, "Breathing Fire", featured additional guest vocals by Brisbane singer–songwriter Emma Dean. The album debuted at number one on the SAMIA Adelaide charts, and the band received a nomination for 'Best Metal Act' in local street press magazine dB Magazine's annual poll. The album's official launch show in Adelaide in July 2008 marked the farewell performance for lead guitarist Ben Murphy, who decided to leave the band to spend more time with his family. He was briefly replaced by former 'A Thousand Nightmares' guitarist James Cunningham, but eventually the position was permanently filled by 'A Red Dawn' guitarist Davin Buttery.

The name "San Giorgio a Cremano" (literally "Saint George of the Cremated"), is a reference to the reverence with which the residents of the area in the 10th century held for the Vesuvius. The superstitious and devoutly religious locals saw an analogy between the eruptions of Vesuvius, and a dragon breathing fire, and quickly adopted Saint George as their patron saint, due to the legend of Saint George and the Dragon in which he slays the Dragon. The residents believed by adopting Saint George as their patron saint he would protect them from the 'dragon' or the eruptions of Vesuvius.Palomba (1881).

Megasaurus in the University of Illinois Assembly Hall Megasaurus and Transaurus are transforming robotic dinosaurs. Megasaurus is owned by Mike West and Transaurus is owned by Rick and Sheri Dorritie. They are modeled after a Tyrannosaurus rex and have hydraulically activated arms, grasping claws, and jaws, as well as flame throwers set up in the head to give the effect of breathing fire from the mouth. They both fold up into a vehicle based on a tank and when the robots perform they initially appear as a box on tracks decorated as either a military vehicle (Megasaurus) or a dinosaur (Transaurus).

Costumed sousaphone player, New Orleans, Mardi Gras Day 2005 In large marching bands of the United States, the bell is often covered with a tight fitting cloth, called a sock, which enables the sousaphone section to spell out the school's name, initials, or mascot. The Leland Stanford Junior University Marching Band Tööbz! have a tradition of painting the front surface of their sousaphone bells with a variety of images. Sousaphone players are also known to perform the 'flaming tubas' in which flash paper is ignited in the bell, thus making it appear as if the musician is breathing fire.

Jan Długosz in his 15th-century chronicle wrote that the one who defeated the dragon was King Krakus, who ordered his men to stuff the flesh of a calf skin with flammable substances (sulfur, tinder, wax, pitch, and tar) and set them on fire. The dragon ate the burning meal and died breathing fire just before death. Another version by Marcin Bielski from the 16th century gave credit to the shoemaker Skuba for defeating the dragon. Che formed Don Caballero in late 1991 with guitarist Mike Banfield,and bassist Pat Morris, Ian Williams joined the band as a second guitarist in 1992. Between 1993 and 2000, Don Caballero released five immensely influential albums, For Respect, Don Caballero 2, Singles Breaking Up (Vol. 1), What Burns Never Returns, and American Don on Touch and Go Records and played hundreds of shows, earning a reputation as the definitive math rock band. Che was known in the underground music community for his erratic and unpredictable behavior, from stripping down to his boxer shorts to play the drums, to capping off a performance by breathing fire.

The modern western image of a dragon developed in western Europe during the Middle Ages through the combination of the snakelike dragons of classical Graeco-Roman literature, references to Near Eastern European dragons preserved in the Bible, and western European folk traditions. The period between the 11th and 13th centuries represents the height of European interest in dragons as living creatures. Dragons are usually shown in modern times with a body more like a huge lizard, or a snake with two pairs of lizard-type legs, and breathing fire from their mouths. This traces back to the continental dragon, commonly referred to as a fire-breathing dragon.

According to some legends, basilisks can be killed by hearing the crow of a rooster or gazing at itself through a mirror. The latter method of killing the beast is featured in the legend of the basilisk of Warsaw, killed by a man carrying a set of mirrors. Stories gradually added to the basilisk's deadly capabilities, such as describing it as a larger beast, capable of breathing fire and killing with the sound of its voice. Some writers even claimed it could kill not only by touch, but also by touching something that is touching the victim, like a sword held in the hand.

Bond had, however, already moved on by then. He had two novels published by Methuen but success really came when he began being published by Scholastic. The 1999 incarnation sports three horns on his head and the horn on his snout has been decreased to a smaller size. The 1999 Yonggary is capable of breathing fire (referred to as "fireballs" in the film) and has a diamond-shaped receptor on his forehead that allow the aliens to control him. Under the aliens' control, Yonggary is shown to be aggressive and violent, but when the military breaks the aliens' control over Yonggary, he is shown to be gentle, even protective. While the 1967 Yonggary died, the 1999 incarnation is shown to live and is transported by the military to a deserted island to live in peace.

Dressed to Kill, released on March 19, 1975, fared slightly better commercially than Hotter Than Hell. It also contained what later became the band's signature song, "Rock and Roll All Nite". Although Kiss albums had not proved to be big sellers, the band was quickly gaining a reputation for its live performances. Kiss concerts featured such spectacles as Simmons spitting "blood" (an effect made primarily from raw egg whites, strawberry syrup and red food coloring) and "breathing fire" (spitting flammable liquid at a torch), Frehley soloing as his guitar burst into flames (light and smoke bombs placed inside the guitar), Criss's elevating drum riser that emitted sparks, Stanley's Townshend-style guitar smashing, and pyrotechnics throughout the show.

Mayor, who is openly lesbian, was shortlisted for a 2008 CBC Literary Award for the title story from her most recent book, All the Pretty Girls (Conundrum Press), a collection of short stories.

Steve McOrmond is a Canadian poet. He was born in Nova Scotia and grew up on Prince Edward Island. His work has appeared in literary magazines in Canada, Australia and the UK, and has been anthologized in Breathing Fire 2: Canada’s New Poets (Nightwood 2004) and Landmarks: An Anthology of New Atlantic Canadian Poetry of the Land (Acorn Press 2001). He has received several awards for his poetry including a ‘Highly Commended‘ award in the 2005 Petra Kenney International Poetry Competition, 2nd prize in This Magazine‘s Great Canadian Literary Hunt (2001), the Alfred G. Bailey Prize (Writers' Federation of New Brunswick, 1996) and the Milton Acorn Poetry Award (PEI Council of the Arts, 1995).

The dragon on the club badge represents Gwiber Emlyn (The Emlyn Wyvern) which originally was a banner with a large red dragon emblazoned on it, the banner of Owain Glyndŵr. The legend of Gwiber Castell Newydd Emlyn (the Wyvern of Newcastle Emlyn) is a local tradition. It tells how on one of the fair days when the town was full of people a fierce winged viper called a wyvern breathing fire and smoke, alighted on the castle walls and having cast threatening glances around settled down to sleep. Its appearance on the castle at first brought terror to all but after the fear had died down a few brave townsfolk sought to destroy the fearsome monster.

Chiquart, cook to Amadeus VIII, Duke of Savoy, described an entremets entitled Castle of Love in his 15th-century culinary treatise Du fait de cuisine ("On cookery"). It consisted of a giant castle model with four towers, carried in by four men. The castle contained, among other things, a roast piglet, a swan cooked and redressed in its own plumage, a roast boar's head and a pike cooked and sauced in three different ways without having been cut into pieces, all of them breathing fire.

"Kings & Queens" received generally favorable reviews from critics. Madeline Rothman of MTV News stated that Max sings about "breathing fire, getting a 'royalty high', and calling on men to start championing the queens" with a strong electric guitar solo, while Jon Blistein of Rolling Stone recognized the song's "pulsing verse and a dramatic hook peppered with regal synths", and compared the guitar solo to the discography of Queen. Mike Nied of Idolator noted that the single "highlights Ava’s ability to fill dance floors across the globe". Nicholas Hautman of US Weekly described "Kings & Queens" as "one of the best singles to come out of 2020 so far", praising her "powerful and theatrical vocals" and the glam rock guitar solo after the second verse.

Chernabog appeared in the Disney/Square Enix crossover game Kingdom Hearts as a surprise boss who rules over the "End of the World", serving as the fight before Ansem. Chernabog attacks by breathing fire, invoking an eruption from the mountain he stands in, summoning spirits to attack Sora, Donald and Goofy and flinging balls of fire. "Night on Bald Mountain" serves as the music during this boss battle in the North American, PAL and Final Mix version of the game, making him the only Disney villain in the game to have his own unique boss music. He returns in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance as a boss fight in Riku's story in the Symphony of Sorcery world based upon Fantasia.

In Bowser Party, the fifth player controls Bowser using the Wii U GamePad. In this mode, the four main players are tasked with reaching the end of the board without losing all of their hearts whilst avoiding being caught by Bowser, who is trying to stop them. If Bowser catches up to the other players, a minigame takes place in which Bowser uses the GamePad's features to activate various devices, such as tilt controlled fire rods, pinball flippers, and breathing fire, whilst the other players attempt to take as little damage as possible. The players win if at least one player makes it to the end of the board with their hearts intact, but if all players are defeated, Bowser wins.

Gumby follows the titular character on his adventures through different environments and times in history. Gumby's primary sidekick is Pokey, a talking red pony. His nemeses are the G and J Blockheads, a pair of antagonistic red humanoid figures with cube-shaped heads, one with the letter G on the block, the other with the letter J. The blockheads were inspired by the trouble-making Katzenjammer Kids. Other characters include Prickle, a yellow dinosaur capable of breathing fire and who sometimes styles himself as a detective with pipe and deerstalker hat like Sherlock Holmes; Goo, a flying blue mermaid who spits blue goo balls and can change shape into essentially any object (including machinery) at will; Gumbo and Gumba, Gumby's parents; and Nopey, Gumby's dog whose entire vocabulary is the word "nope".

Opening with a striking Pete Beste image of Satyricon/1349's Frost breathing fire, the first part of the Black Metal Special opened with a brief history of black metal entitled "The Boys from the Black Stuff", a look at the black metal scene in Europe, the philosophy of black metal, the top twenty of the first wave, and a look at the black metal underground. Part two of the black metal special began with a look at Supernatural Records, black metal labels, the scene in South America, the top twenty of the second wave, the black metal mainstream and the scene in North America. The third part contained a look at the scene in the UK and Ireland, Scandinavia, Australasia and a look at post-black metal.

"The Call of the Wintermoon" is a song by the black metal band Immortal from their album Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism. The song is notable for its music video, in which members of the band run amok in a forest and through the site of the ancient ruins of Lyse Abbey, wearing corpse paint (and other articles such as a wizard costume), brandishing various weapons and, among other things, breathing fire. Being the drummer at time of shootings, Kolgrim appears in the music video, despite having nothing to do with the studio track (the drums were recorded by his predecessor Armagedda). It was, however, soon afterwards described by the band as a huge mistake as the TV company that made the video mocked them in an interview which took place after the video was aired, labeling them Satanic.klub.posluh.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land, released in Europe and Australia as Kirby's Adventure Wii, is a Kirby video game and the twelfth platform installment of the series, developed by HAL Laboratory, and published by Nintendo. While Kirby's Epic Yarn was released in 2010, Kirby's Return to Dream Land is the first traditional Kirby platforming home console game since Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, which was released in 2000 for the Nintendo 64. The title was released in North America on October 24, 2011, in Japan on October 27, 2011, in Europe on November 25, 2011, and in Australia on December 1, 2011. Kirby's Return to Dream Land features the staple gameplay of traditional Kirby platform games, in which Kirby possesses the ability to inhale and copy enemies to gain a variety of attacks such as breathing fire or swinging a sword.

The main protagonist and namesake of the series is a young, spherical, 8-inch-tall pink creature named Kirby who resides on a far away star-shaped planet called Popstar in the country of Dream Land. Much of Dream Land is peaceful and its people lead laid back and carefree lives. However, when peace in Dream Land is shattered from threats, both terrestrial and extraterrestrial in origin, it's up to Kirby to become a brave warrior and save his home. Despite his young and carefree personality, Kirby possesses many incredible abilities, such as the power to inhale objects and enemies, sucking them into his stretchy mouth with the choice of spitting them out with force, or taking on their properties as he ingests his foes to Copy their abilities, transforming into new forms and gaining new powers; such as breathing fire, wielding a sword, launching sparks in every direction, or attacking enemies with direct hand-to-hand combat.
